okay i’m gonna talk owk criticism in the tags for a sec 😵💫
#i do think that they’re reusing plot devices that have worked well such as the grizzled old man + cute child dynamic#but to say there isn’t anything being said in the show? i do disagree with !!#getting insight into how obi wan lived in those years#how he struggled with such guilt and pain#and how his connection to leia formed#i value that a lot !!#plus just getting any sort of leia character development is such a breath of fresh air#it’s not that i personally enjoy the show because ‘wow look at these characters u love!! they sure are doing stuff !!!!’#it’s because i’m getting much desired insight !!#idk i think anyone who finds obi wan boring in the first place is going to think the show is boring so like 🙃 duh??#this was a lil pointless and ramble-y. i don’t mean to defend a fuckin starred wars show of all things ofc#and it does always deserve criticism !!#it’s just a different perspective from mine i suppose :-)#like no shit if you dislike obi wan you’re probably not going to like a show centered around obi wan’s grief#‘this show adds nothing to the characters’ to YOU !! not to me !!#i always love a dive into obi wan and anakin !! and if i’m being honest !!#i actually love leia a lot more now 🤷♀️ i feel like she lacked particularly loving writing in the originals#anyways.txt
