so I move into this new house, and I love it to pieces, but as I live here I notice a few things that kinda like. are annoying or slightly unlivable, but it's not my house I'm renting so I can't do anything. so I email the property manager a list. notable things being, the oven tape that says what temp the oven is is gone (so don't know how hot the oven is, baking be damned I guess) and the cupboard has SIGNIFICANT bowing to the point I'm not hanging my clothes in case it breaks. also the curtains are mouldy but if I store them I'm storing mould and I can't throw them bc they're the owners property.

she gets back to me via phone and says "just clarifying your list bc the previous tenants never reported these things and I'm not sure how it's a problem?" fuck off???? for real??? idc what the previous tenants could live with. I'm here now and I want to live in a nice place.

I try to explain to her that I need to know what temp the oven is at and she's just like hmm okay I'll mention it to the owner. like no, fix it????

also the bowing she's like "well if you don't feel comfortable hanging your clothes in the cupboard that's unfortunate, but the landlord is happy with the bowing and doesn't want to fix it" fuckijg for real said that

idk this is just proving to me that landlords don't see their property as anything except their own asset, don't consider that people are actually LIVING IN IT. this is my HOME!!!! I want to LIVE HERE as long as I can!!!!! but you don't want to fucking incurr a single cost on your asset that's going to have wear and tear to fix over time as people live in it??? fuck landlords man

also insane to think that 10.1 million people attended with TICKETS but there were thousands of people outside each stadium every night, and countless more watching streams online all over the WORLD. like, the true number of people who attended the eras tour over the past two years is far beyond what we’re imagining rn. and i’m just so proud of her and amazed at this success and grateful to have been a part of it :,)

But Simon remains lost in the song he wrote twelve years ago, a melody laced with the heartache of a boy longing for something just out of reach.

He doesn’t hear the quiet footsteps approaching. What he does feel is warmth—arms wrapping around his waist, strong and certain, a familiar chest pressing against his back. And for a moment, it's like stepping into a memory. Like home. Like the nights they curled into each other before sleep, seeking comfort in the silence. Like the time Wilhelm had asked if his fish had names, in the golden glow of his childhood room.

Simon exhales sharply, his grip on the microphone tightening. He had told himself he was fine. That the sleepless nights, the endless rehearsals, the way he reached for someone in the dark only to find empty space—none of it hurt as much as it did the first time. But Wille is here, solid and real, and every moment apart crashes into him all at once. The missed calls, the whispered goodnights through a screen, needing someone who always felt just a little too far away.

He melts into the touch. His head tilts back, resting against Wille’s shoulder, and he feels the curve of a smile against his cheek. The urge to press a kiss somewhere—anywhere—burns through him, fierce and overwhelming. It’s been weeks since he’s seen him, held him, breathed him in. And now, with the weight of Wille’s presence anchoring him, it's as if no time has passed at all.

The venue has erupted into deafening screeches—Simon thinks he spots people crying—and he knows, without a doubt, that this moment will flood his social media from every possible angle. Amid the chaos, Simon barely registers the world beyond the warmth against his back.

"Sing, älskling," Wille whispers into his ear. A breathless laugh escapes Simon, his heart pounding so hard it might burst, and he nuzzles their cheeks together.
