“The British were not India's only patrons of elegant silver.

Native princes - always engaged in dynamic cultural interchanges with their British overlords - also commissioned silver of the highest quality. Such patronage was nowhere more prominent than in western India, where the rulers of the state of Kutch were champions of their silversmiths. These leaders ensured their region's silver became the best known of India's styles through sponsorship at international exhibitions, beginning with London's Great Exhibition of 1851. This stylishly whimsical tea service in the shape of richly feathered quails was produced by Oomersee Mawjee Jr., son of Kutch's most renowned master silversmith, after he shifted to the employ of another western Indian ruler, Maharaja Sayajirao Gaekwad III of Baroda.”

Today, the Angels tell us to make a decision based on our heart's True desires. Once you make this decision, the Universe meets you more than half way and you will have great success. Let go of any worries about going hungry or being without shelter because when you follow your heart, you are living your Life's Purpose. Supply is infinite because it is provided by the Infinite and there is enough for everyone. You deserve to be happy and successful, so have faith that it is so. When I centered for the reading, I heard "pregnant", which refers to gestating a project or idea. When I saw the food/hunger card, I heard "envy", so also let go of the idea that another person's success equals your failure or lack of success. We are all on our own path and we light workers are sisters and brothers working together as a team for the highest good of all. Bless another's success as you would your own because truly when someone succeeds and provides inspiration and positive service for others, we all win. We are all of the same human fabric, with unique configurations for very special reasons. We must express ourselves through our specific filters and all play a much needed part. Be grateful for another's happiness for it is Truly your own. Also, do not let hunger for what someone else has drive your decisions. You may not want what you think you want. Check in with yourself during journaling, quiet contemplation (in nature works great), or meditation. Ask, "what do I want?" and let the answers come. “Images of horses, usually with riders, are offered to local agricultural deities across India to protect villages and fields, as they have been for millennia. Large clay examples like those on view here are often placed in sacred groves of trees, especially by tribal (Indigenous) communities who have a special relationship with the forest and nature. Hundreds of such horses can collect in a grove, each eventually dissolving back into the earth from which it was made.”

As I centered for today's reading, I heard "playground" and "puppet show" and the first card shows an angel _play_ing music. Music is one of the fastest ways to raise your vibration and create a channel for healing. Right before pulling the second card, I heard, "so excited!" It reflects this excitement with "Yes!" Some may remember their father as a playmate, or the excitement when shouting, "Daddy's home!" In any case, play gives a much needed boost to your energy when you've been working too hard. Let your inner child have a say in your plans. It makes decisions easier when you commit to a playful approach. Stay positive and don't hesitate to ask for help, especially if as you move forward you have some sadness and forgiveness work to do. You may have issues to heal surrounding your father, other men, or authority in general ("the man"). Remember that you are the authority on your life and do not have to ask permission to live on your own terms. Your new beginning is a playground full of fun potential. Remember that we are but players in a play and all of life is a stage. We are here playing a role and have had many of them in other lifetimes, all serving as teachers. Your Heavenly Father is here for you every step of the way and gladly extends his hand to you. Portrait of a gyrfalcon, viewed from three sides Lombard Master, c.1540-1560 oil on canvas, unlined via Sotheby's "The sport of falconry, practiced since ancient times, was a pursuit particularly enjoyed at Medieval and Renaissance courts.  The gyrfalcon, shown here, is the largest of the falcon species; the size of the bird, almost certainly painted from life and to scale, suggests it is a female, and the grandeur of the portrait, presenting it from three viewpoints, raised above the clouds, indicates it was both a cherished pet and valued hunting companion.  While incredibly rare, such portraits were not unprecedented.  In a letter in the Gonzaga ducal archives, addressed to one Scaramella, the sender requests that a white gyrfalcon be sent to Mantua to be seen by Costa (likey Lorenzo Costa, the court painter) for a commissioned portrait.... Sumptuary laws of the period dictated that only the most elite nobility be permitted to hunt with gyrfalcons; the owner of this majestic bird must therefore have been a person of elevated status, and the symbolism of the oak and poplar trees, in whose branches the bird sits, most likely holds the key to their identity.  While the oak was an emblem traditionally assumed by the della Rovere, the ducal family of Urbino, this hand does not match any of the artists working for that court during the period.  This striking portrait of a gyrfalcon likely dates between 1540 and 1560 and, while the identity of its author remains unknown, is undoubtedly the work of an extraordinarily accomplished Lombard master. The exceptional preservation of the canvas and paint surface allows us to fully appreciate the artist's prowess in the depiction of light and texture, capturing the dancing movement of the leaves and the varied textures of the plumage.  The accuracy and impeccable detail of the depiction harks to the established tradition of still life painting and the popularity of exact images of naturalia in sixteenth century Lombardy.  These precise representations of animals, birds, insects and plants were circulated by men of science and swiftly became objects highly coveted by aristocratic collectors throughout Europe.2  One artist born of this encyclopedic manner of painting was Giuseppe Arcimboldo; Mauro Natale suggests that the anonymous author of this painting may well have been an artist working within Arcimboldo’s sphere."

The past 2 days, we have been encouraged to meditate in order to process difficult and challenging emotions. Today, our message is to continue the meditation in order to connect with the Higher Realms for guidance regarding our discontent. We may feel frustrated with the state of our relationships, career, or life in general. As mentioned before, rather than push these feelings away, sit with them. Use them as a signal that it is time to make some changes and go a new direction. We might simply be bored and restless because it is our nature to create. Our creativity must be expressed or we end up cranky and dissatisfied. Muses, Angels, and our Higher Selves (in some cases, these are one and the same) are standing by with brilliant ideas and solutions, so just ask for help and you'll be off in exciting new directions. Look for signs such as repeating phrases (heard within or in bits of overheard conversations, read, or seen as an image), dialog from movies and books that seems especially relevant, and feelings of excitement as you consider taking certain steps. Emotions are tools to be utilized, even ones that might be uncomfortable to deal with.
