Finally got out a proper finished Doc doodle! The Daily Poem that inspired this one is “The Darkling Thrush” by Thomas Hardy, which is under the cut.

I leant upon a coppice gate       When Frost was spectre-grey, And Winter's dregs made desolate       The weakening eye of day. The tangled bine-stems scored the sky       Like strings of broken lyres, And all mankind that haunted nigh       Had sought their household fires. The land's sharp features seemed to be       The Century's corpse outleant, His crypt the cloudy canopy,       The wind his death-lament. The ancient pulse of germ and birth       Was shrunken hard and dry, And every spirit upon earth       Seemed fervourless as I. At once a voice arose among       The bleak twigs overhead In a full-hearted evensong       Of joy illimited; An aged thrush, frail, gaunt, and small,       In blast-beruffled plume, Had chosen thus to fling his soul       Upon the growing gloom. So little cause for carolings       Of such ecstatic sound Was written on terrestrial things       Afar or nigh around, That I could think there trembled through       His happy good-night air Some blessed Hope, whereof he knew       And I was unaware.

A Page of doodles figuring out Lamp wings. Lamps are masters of folding membranes both for the large ships sails and for much smaller air foils. Unlike bird Lamp's don't tend to flap their wings (as it's rare one would modify themselves to have the muscle attachment points for that) instead using them more like a plane with thrush coming from a jet engine within the tail.

Teary Dancingstar is the leader, she is really young and funny, doesn't seem to like being leader a lot though XD, cats tend to call her Dancingstar but she honestly prefers being called Tears or Dancingtears, dunno why!!!! her mate (Cunning Duskrun) also prefers to be called Runningdusk instead of Cunningdusk or Duskrun, theres a lot of freedom on names which is awesome!!!!!!! i love reading about more traditional clans online but its nice to see something original, makes me feel like im having an EXCLUSIVE CLAN CAT EXPERIENCE NOT MANY WILL HAVE!!! which is EPIC!!!! XD

BTW they do have healers and second-in-commands! thats doctor Snippy Mintmoon and deputy Good Frozensun! Runningdusk says Frozengood is a really sweet old man, while he says he's really just doing his duty LOL!! Snipmint seems to agree he's helpful (i couldn't get a lot of info out of her she's so serious!!! O_O) they sem to do a lot of tasks and stuff together which is cool OwO! I spied on them talking about Starclan (le epic ancestors xD) and he didn't understand it a lot but Frozengood was intent on listening, they're a fun duo.

Eveningpaw was there also, apparently he got hurt or something, that's the other apprentice who will be training with me!!! im excited to be friends with him he seems so nice, hes kind of shy and doesnt get along with a lot of people but i will do my vERY BEST to gain her friendship, her mentor is Runningdusk, he and Dancingtears adopted her apparently, funny family tho i barely see them together :P

OH OH and theres Thrush Tanglepelt and Egret Cleverleaves, Thrushtangle is an older warrior who is training MEEEEE :3 as a nymphclan warrior apprentice YES ze is SUPER NICE to be around and i was so excited to have zir training me we are gonna be a fantastic duo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and Egretleaf is like, a guy whos there, it doesn't do a lot besides train, battle, hunt and hangout with Frozengood OH YEAH Frozengood is helping with my training too

together we have decided my new name under nymphclan is FRIEND MOSSPAW!!!! once i complete my training my surname will change again to have a suffix that instead of representing my apprentice status will represent one of my noticeable features, but i love this name already im sooooo excited >w< cant wait to begin!!!!!!!! wish me luck everykitty!!!!!!! will be updataing you all!!!
