day 9 and 10 baby!! ive been drawing so much recently and i think i feel a sort of burnout coming so uhm. thats wonderful. but ill try and persist and finish stickmintober impossibly late because i refuse to give up. school is starting soon though so these drawings will be slow sorry!!

anyway. for day 9 i interpreted the jewels as kids - specifically, henry’s kids, and in the drawing theyre arguing over whos henrys favourite. i think they would definitely be little rascals - i mean, look at their dad/old family (the toppats). i made their ages based off of when henry got them, so diamond is oldest, ruby is the middle child, and emerald is youngest. also, theyre all adopted since theyre all different nationalities - diamond is tunisian, ruby romanian, and emerald norweigan, as stated in the games.

for day 10 - im not sure if dave x charles is a rarepair, but i havent seen a lot of content for them - ive seen two oneshots max. anyway, i think theyre pretty cute together, and since they were the most rarepair-y ship that i could see myself shipping, i decided to draw them! yes, i know theyve never met, but if they met i think they would definitely like eachother. i do still ship polythreat/stickvin but i am, after all, a multishipper.

Okay that one fic I just reblogged (link in replies) reminded me of smth I realized the other day rewatching THSC.

Reginald was noticeably more alarmed by the carnage from the government's attack in PBT than his Right Hand Man was. Sure, it makes sense from an in-character standpoint, but if you're like me and hc Reginald as having been Clan-born, then that's a lot of sentimental value attached to the airship.

As much as we make fun of Reginald having sentimental attachment to the ruby (including keeping a piece of paper in the orbital station's vault), it's important to note that both mentions of Henry stealing the ruby come from the Right Hand Man.

While the ruby likely has sentimental value to both of them (the nature of which can be speculated), I get the sense that RHM cares more about it than Reginald might. Hell, who was the one who had to be stopped from chasing after it?

Reginald cares about the Ruby, but it’s not like that’s the only wrong Henry inflicted upon him. Sure, “we can’t let him get away with this again, not twice” could be referring to the stolen emerald, but it wouldn’t be the first time Henry wrecked his home and possibly loved ones in the process.

I don’t regret making this one bit UwU I made some @crown-of-roses-thsc next gen characters. I mean someone was bound to do it right? The sweet bean on the left is Ellie and Reginald’s son Timothy, in the middle is Wolf’s adopted daughter Phoenix, and on the right is Tim’s twin sister Rebecca. More info on these cuties below the picture.

Timmy is just a timid overly cautious bean. He wishes he was as brave as Ellie, but what he lacks in bravery he makes up for in smarts. Just like his father. The chain on his hat was a gift from Reginald.

He’s a very sweet guy and is loved by most of the clan. He’d be a great leader one day if he just learns to be a bit more confident in himself.

Next up is the reckless, majorly overconfident yet very loyal and well meaning Phoenix. Phoenix is…a lot. She’s basically Ellie 2.0 which her mama Wolf is teased about a lot. It’s really a wonder how someone as calm and collected as Wolf is able to raise someone like Phoenix. But despite all that they have a very good relationship.

Phoenix wants to be just like her mama. Expect for one thing, while she likes working in Wolf’s forge her real passion is for forensics. She doesn’t know why but something about figuring out how someone died is fascinating to her. But she can’t exactly Pursue that passion as a criminal…so she’s kinda at a crossroads. Does she leave the clan and her friends and mom? Or stay for their sake.

Lastly we have Tim’s twin sister Rebecca or as she prefers Ruby. Rebecca is the No nonsense one of the group. While Phoenix is often dragging Tim along on her escapades, Rebecca is the one making sure they don’t get themselves killed.

Her relationship with Ellie is a bit at odds. Rebecca desperately wants to live up to her mom’s reputation, but despite Ellie always telling her she doesn’t need too. She still feels unworthy. Reginald is the one having to keep Rebecca from overworking herself and reminding her to take breaks. Least she has Phoenix, her brother and their other friends to help keep her spirits up.

Meet my brand new characters/OCs! Yep, they are based on what you think. I might do Bio Cards for them eventually. I got inspired by someone making Toppats based on Sonic Characters lol.

(This is an info dump about Devin, so it might get pretty long...)

Okay, so! It all started when two Toppat members loved each other very much and had a baby. Which was Devin! They took care of him until he was 8 or 9 when they took him on a mission and ended up getting killed in front of him.

With no one to care for him, the Toppat Leaders (Reginald and RHM) decided to take him in and raise him as it says above on his card.

He turned out to be one of the best Toppats in the clan (obviously), but he was also very reckless. He would often rush into things without a plan and end up succeeding by a pure miracle.

Devin is also pretty lighthearted and cocky with him facing his issues with a smile and joke.

Well, what are his relationships with Reginald and RHM?

I'M SO GLAD YOU ASKED.

Reginald:

They have a close bond with Reginald being Devin's go-to for emotional support. Reginald shows his affection and concern for Devin a lot more openly. He's usually the one to fuss over him when he ends up doing something dumb that got him injured. He also taught Devin how to use swords with both hands, one he was old enough. (I read a fanfiction where Reginald knew how to fight with swords, and I thought it fit so well for his character.)

Right Hand Man:

RHM is a lot more subtle with his relationship with Devin but is not neglectful. They've spent enough time together that Devin knows that RHM cares for him just as much as Reginald does. He shows his affection and concern through his actions more than words, and it is the one to patch up Devin after he does something stupid. They like to train together by fighting one on one which is Right's favorite style of fighting.

(He's also pals with Burt, Carter (my oc), and Cathat (friend's oc), but I can always expand on that later if you're REALLY interested.)

What's he like during different endings, you ask?

Well since you asked!

Government Supported Private Investigator:

Devin doesn't show up on screen really for this ending, and instead has more offscreen importance.

When the government came to arrest the leaders and most of the clan, Devin fought his hardest to stop it but didn't succeed, which got a lot arrested. He also lost his arm in the airship crash and was taken by remaining Toppats to help him survive.

Once his injury was taken care of and he woke up, he was made the new leader. Of course, he took the position, but he wasn't ready for it. His main goal after this ending was to break the previous leaders out of prison. (Also, he gets a cool cybernetic prosthetic. Aw, like father like son.)

Pure Blooded Thief:

Devin isn't really on screen for this one either and really only shows up at the end with the leaders. Right wants to do something about Henry stealing the Ruby, and Devin is on board with it, but Reginald talks them both out of it. They all escape, but now they really don't like Henry.

Rapidly Promoted Executive:

Devin is on screen more as he runs with Reginald while Henry chases them down. (He would've been with RHM to fight with Henry, but he was told to go with Reg and who is he to disobey Right?)

Anyway, after Right is defeated and Henry tries to get Reginald, he's tackled to the ground and stopped by Devin. So they fight it out while Reg tries to get help. (I have fails and a success for this part, but I'll save that for another time.) Henry finally gets advantage over Devin and slams him into the wall, which knocks him out.

Of course, there's the whole betraying government thing, and Henry becomes leader. Devin is not happy with it...

Relentless Bounty Hunter:

Same thing as the previous ending, but this time, once Devin woke up and found out about it, both him and Right were rightfully pissed about it. Both of them become a terror to the government and work together to get that space station up in orbit so they can go break Reginald out.

(I might talk more about the Completing the Mission endings, but this is already long, and I have no idea how interested people will be in this guy. 🥲)

Rubies and Dragon's Breath gems. The second one is apparently something that humans have to make, but imagine that is something that is real in the THSC universe. The first one is because it's his birth month gem.

With him being half-Chinese, you would think Jade would be his favorite, but ah, family memories have made it not his favorite unfortunately.

She's super ready, she stole some gems and she's gonna make him a really cool bracelet or w/e he wants XD

1: Amy doesn't like when people touch her hair due to it being pulled a lot when she was younger. They only let Ruby and James touch her hair.

2: Extremely random, but I headcanon that Carol's dad is Terrence and also that Terrence adopted RHM. So yeah. Carol and RHM are siblings, and Reginald killed his father-in-law.

3: I feel like explaining how leadership works in the Toppat Clan, so here we go.

Whenever a leader is killed, the new leader is chosen according to this system.

If the leader has a biological kid that is older than 18, they become the new leader. Carol was 20 when Terrence was killed, so technically she should've been the leader, but she gave it up to Reginald instead.

If the leader doesn't have a biological child older than 18, then the adopted child that is older than 18 (if there is one) is chosen.

If the leader doesn't have any children older than 18, then it's the right-hand man that's in charge.

And no one knows what the fuck to do if there isn't a right hand man.
