Shax had a tough time delivering Crowley's mail at The Ineffable Con:
After collecting the Traitor's mail for months,

teaming up with a doppelganger,

interrupting intimate moments,

using threats

and demonic karate skills,

and chasing the Traitor around the entire Moor Hall, while the Traitor was chasing his emotional support angel,

Shax asserted her dominance and delivered the mail
and could finally have some time for herself.

Many thanks to my very own emotional support angels @fuzzywhispersbear and @drimmsydra ❤️ The whole weekend has been an absolute blast!

Ok, the funniest thing just happened right at the end of The Ineffable Con.
So short, some of us took a trip to Tadfield with like busses and it was all really lovely organized, and we had rented the community building thing, and walked around the village (which really is tiny, like there are 3 streets) and taking pictures of benches and streets and shit, then eat some crepes and hang out in the building.
9pm comes and we get ready to board the busses back, when who rund out and starts shouting, the realy life version of R.P. Tyler.
Like, Im not kidding. Old guy, with a dog and a stick up his ass so far, it's tickling his brain.
He starts yelling how we are to loud and we should leave...while blocking us from leaving.
His shouting seems to attract more people, since people comes out of their houses to watch or yell too. Some are holding dogs or cats, some are saying we are traumatising their pets.
Another person comes and tries to mediate between the villagers and the bus drivers.
Honestly, that was the best ending and they will never know why we found the whole thing so funny.

THE EVERY BIG ART from IneffableCon/TIC5

Julia (X and AO3: @do_it_to_julia) was literally the first person to say hello to me when I entered the lounge in Moor Hall, she offered me tea (I know this is a normal thing for a Brit to do, but I am from the Northern Wastes and we have no manners).
I don’t always instantly click with people, and I don’t always have that much in common with perfect strangers. Not to be sappy or anything, but running into Julia before I ran into everyone else was exactly what I needed to ease into the whole convention thing. I’ve never been to one before!
Thanks to Julia, the collaborative, Big Art mosaic now exists. Everyone who wanted to participate colored one of 64 pieces. It looks amazing! I think someone in California won it in the art raffle - imagine having this on your wall!
I colored three pieces, but only remembered to take a photo of one. The text is in Norwegian and is a translation of the ‘no nightingales’ dialogue. The stars are, of course, the THREE (yes, three, google it) stars of Alpha Centauri.

We could've seen. bus.
Peter Anderson, in his Ineffable Con 5 session, was asked about the name of the boat in the pile of items that the procession climbs in the Season 2 intro. He didn't know off the top of his head. But he did follow that up with: "Speaking of which, did anybody look at the bus? What was on the bus?"
He didn't really elaborate on the bus, other than it "was a special Good Omens bus."
Let's assume for the purposes of this post that he's talking about a bus in the intro, which was the current topic of conversation. (Rather than the actual, in-service bus that was wrapped to promote the series.) I am pretty sure this is the bus in question:
So what's on the bus?
There's an ad on the side, which is interesting. Wings for Victory was a fundraising effort in 1943.
And there's also what looks like a route identifier on the front:
I think this says GO2 (as the route number): Soho, Green Park, Victoria; Soho Square. That's a fairly reasonable bus route; the actual 38 bus takes a similar one.
In the X-Ray, Peter Anderson also brings up where the bus is going. Very briefly. So clearly it means something to him.
There is one more thing I found, because of course there is. Amazon did a behind the scenes tour of the Season 2 set as a prize for a promotional contest. There was a bus involved:

Interestingly, there was also a TikTok including the bus which shows a different set of stops for the route.
What does it mean? I have no idea. Ours* is not to reason why; ours is to deliver packages. Of research. What do you think?
*and by Ours I mean Mine

The Hastur and Ligur sets I contribute to this year's auction for Alzheimer's Research UK, organized by @theineffablecon, in honour of the late Terry Pratchett. I was looking forward to this auction, thank you so much for organizing!
I made the Hasturs and Ligur over the span of all of last year. Hastur, as usual, turned out well with no problems. Ligur, also as usual, gave me all kinds of problems with the proportions, because I changed yarns and because Ligur is just like that ;) He turned out well but it was a struggle.
My favourite parts are always making the toad and chameleons! I love the toad's derp face (with heart eyes this year!) and the little toes! And the chameleon is just such a nice shape and it's fun to play with the colours for the stripes. Blue and pink chameleon have heart eyes too!

My main takeaway from TIC5 today?
I will never be able to think of Rich Keeble without shouting the words
Christmas FUCK
ever again.
That man was brilliant. I hope he'll be back in S3.

What's In A Name?
Written for @theineffablecon TIC5 Zine - check out the PDF version here, because it's pretty.
Rating: M
Summary:
Crowley and Aziraphale can argue about anything. They've had 6000 years of practice, after all.
But when a well-worn argument about politics takes an unexpected turn, they find themselves on completely new ground.
Excerpt:
In an antique bookshop in Whickber Street, there was silence. There were no customers wandering between the shelves, no classical music playing on the gramophone, no whine of a kettle boiling in preparation for a cup of tea. Only the faint, muted hum of the crowds and the traffic outside.
That is, until the front door banged open and an angel and a demon strode in, deep in the middle of an argument.
“Still can’t believe you voted,” Crowley was saying.
“I’m blending in ,” Aziraphale said, shaking his head. “I’m officially a citizen of this country, and thus I am doing my patriotic duty. I wonder why you don’t. And not just because of your disdain for the candidates.”
It was an argument that, if not quite as old as time itself, was at least as old as the advent of bureaucracy. Aziraphale immersed himself in his human persona, taking all the rights and responsibilities seriously, whilst Crowley regarded his own persona as little more than another layer of clothing, to be worn and discarded when the fancy took him, nothing ever more than skin-deep.

Crowley's mail for The Ineffable Con
Here's a detail of Crowley's mail that Shax was handing out to The Ineffable Con participants as a gift.
Making these brought me immense joy because it felt like giving back to the fandom, which is full of amazing people whose creations I enjoy every day. So these are for all of you, my dears!

And there was a little surprise in each of them

Some of the letters are still up for grabs at the Bandstand in Battersea Park in London together with some amazing art by @drimmsydra and @fuzzywhispersbear! (See details in the previous post.)
Aubrey Thyme's sign was created by @onlylurkingreadingstuff and used with their permission.

🌈✨🍎The Temptation of Aziraphale🍎✨🌈
It’s been such a WHILE since I /didn’t/ use Procreate on my iPad (in which, as we know, our mistakes have no consequences). It was only going to be a quick doodle, but I got myself kinda obsessed and stayed in the creative room after the ending ceremony of IneffableCon for three hours to FINISH IT.
I had such a good time in that room. I’m gonna post more things we did there once I get the right handles from the relevant people.

I virtually attended @theineffablecon* this year, and had a blast. One of the ways the organizers integrated the virtual attendees into the con was with a series of creative contests called the Trinity Trials. Each one had a GO-realted prompt that we could interpret any way we wanted. I made a little crochet whale for the first trial, and won that category!
There were so many amazing entries, and you can check them all out on the TIC5 website. ("I'm big, aren't I" made me lol irl.)
*TIC is a volunteer-run fan convention that raises money for Alzheimer's Research UK. Hats off to Rachel and Bethany (and everyone else behind the scenes) who created a space for fans from all over the world to come together in order to celebrate Good Omens and honor the memory of Sir Terry.
