wanting to read silly stories but i dont wanna pay $20 (or more) for a book that i'll finish in one sitting and never touch again but ao3 is mostly fanfiction and finding good and complete oc stories there is hell but wattpad is dominated by 12 year olds who dont understand proper grammar and pacing

Hello, this is just a curiosity I have after rereading the mortal instruments for the millionth time (I genuinely am interested every single time, help me), have you ever thought about writing a book or even a small book series regarding everything that happened during Valentine's, Jocelyn's and everyone in the circle during their youth? Like a book detailing all their adventures, the love story between Valentine and Jocelyn (+Lukes jealousy), Maryse and Roberts story, everyone's time in the academy in Idris, how the circle came to be, what inspired Valentine and how he betrayed everyone etc.

I have thought about it! I even had a graphic novel project called The Secret Treasons that was about the Age of Valentine, Luke and Jolceyn the Teenagers. Alas, it never got finished due to me oversubscribing myself to too many projects at all times.

There is a story in Better in Black from Luke's point of view about the whole history of his relationship with Jocelyn up to the present of City of Bones, and so I did get to delve into some of that stuff, which was fun. And even if you didn't back the Kickstarter I do believe those stories will eventually make their way out into the world in some form or other!

Rereading your AWAU for the millionth time (because it's brilliant and so full of incredible characters) and it left me with two questions:

1. What do you think will be the next fic in the series? I know you have several in beta rn, and im also happy to wait, I'm just so curious as to what is coming next!

2. Will we get to see more of Priscilla and Shani in the future? Because I absolutely adore them and their friendship with Jaskier. And I also think pris and aubry becoming close, at least as friends, would be adorable.

I'm not entirely sure what the next part will be! It'll either be the Midwinter Council Meeting or the Exciting Letter From Marika, probably, depending on which one I finish editing first.

I absolutely want to get Priscilla and Shani into the Progress fics; I think I know how, too, which is always pleasant. (I'd like to bring Dara back, too!)

Summary: you're studying at university and living your mundane life, that is, until you meet Beomgyu. What will it lead to? Only time can tell.

Part 1!    The beginning

You never considered moving as easy, especially to the city you knew almost nothing of.

"New city, new life, new page", they say.

You agreed with the statement, to some degree at least.

Of course you were happy to get into the university of your dreams. Just how much happy you were. One wouldn't lie saying you were over the moon.

But..there are always numerous buts, right?

To begin with, you were quite introverted. Not that you had no friends, but it was difficult for you to get into new groups. "A way to open up, not as bad as it sounds", you thought, reassuring yourself.

Moreover, you never left your hometown before and knew absolute nothing about the city you were moving in.

Obviously you tried to get to know the city better, but were you good at navigating? Absolutely not.

But we always imagine things scarier than they are in reality, right?

Dorms were decent, the professors friendly, the students quite approachable. You even managed to befriend a few people during the first week. Life definitely didn't seem to be as difficult as you thought it would be at first.

Of course adjusting to the new environment wasn't easy, but it was still decent.

And you really enjoyed the classes. No matter how hard the work was, your eyes shined like diamonds every time you thought of how your life turned to be: studying in your dream university, getting the job you've been passionate about since...how long already? You couldn't have been more lucky, seriously.

Not to mention the newly found friends you've been together from morning 'till night. Let alone them being genuinely nice people, which you really appreciated, they shared your hobbies, your passion. You felt like you've got to experience the so called "y/n life", life of your dreams. Seriously, it felt just as surreal as a dream.

But, you weren't just lucky, you've worked your butt off to live like this. And you had no plans on stopping anytime soon.

No, of course you weren't the typical "good girl" or a "nerd", but you had a goal you aimed to.

You just lived your own life the way you thought to be the right one.

Never having too much friends, you enjoyed the company of a few close friends that surrounded you. Now, with new faces around you, you still kept your usual life style.

You were content with how things are in your private life and had no wish to change that, for now. "School, friends, studies, hobbies" now changed to "uni, friends, studies, hobbies".

"A partner" or "a boyfriend" never appeared in that list. It's not like you were too interested in dating, at least currently. Developing small crushes from time to time, you never got into anything serious. Guys in your school weren't the best ones, anyway.

It was like this and, perhaps, might have stayed just this way if not for Beomgyu, literally the perfect guy that took the same course as you.

You couldn't deny his great physique, but his knowledge was no joke, either.

Matching brains with good looks, the guy sent your heart in heaven.

At first, you didn't even try getting closer to him. He seemed to always hang out with his group of friends, just as you did with yours. The coming up semester exams and a dozen of homework you had to do every night didn't add up to your enthusiasm of getting with your love interest, either.

Your life flew by just the same, only a little flutter of your heart everytime you crossed your ways with Beomgyu reminding you of the crush you had on him.

A month passed like this, and the night before your semester exams arrived.

It was almost midnight when you finished rereading your notes for the millionth time, thinking of finally going to sleep. When, suddenly, you heard noises coming from one of the dorms. Once you opened your window to see what was going on, you could clearly hear someone play the guitar.

"Just the perfect time to do that, eh?" you thought, wondering whether the person was so sure about their academics or simply decided not to study at all.

As curiosity got the better of you, you tried to see where the melody was coming from.

Oh how surprised you got once you realized that it was, in fact, Beomgyu's dorm that the guitar play was heard from.

"Really? Never thought he also knows how to play the guitar", the thought popped in your head, leaving you wonder just how many other skills the guy has.

While thinking of that, you suddenly heard him play a familiar song. Too familiar even, it was one of your favourites.

"So we even share similar music taste, huh.." you thought, the idea of actually trying to at least get acquaintanced with Beomgyu popping up in your brain for the first time.

He wasn't bad at all, somewhat reminding you the image of your ideal type even.

With that thought, you closed the window, sliding down onto your bed and soon drifting off to sleep, accompanied by quiet chords of Beomgyu's play as a lullaby.

So I’ve been rereading your being(s) in love series for like the millionth time… aaaand well that sorta led to me getting a clematis tattoo behind my ear the other day bc he makes my heart clench and my breath catch and my throat tighten and my eyes water every time I reread sweet clematis. That book is not a traditional romance at all. Structurally, the love interest, the actual focus on the trauma and mental health (as opposed to mentioning them and then magic healing cock happens or whatever), and it was also so, so stressful and taxing to write. But I am very glad I did. Clematis speaks to a lot of people and that makes me very happy.

Now, a) this isn't awkward and awkward is my middle name, so trust me on that one. and b) I am not going to ask for a picture because I don't know your comfort levels and also because the tattoo is probably still healing BUT I am going to ask if it's a little fairy or if it's a clematis flower/vine or something. You don't have to answer, obviously, but I do wonder.

Also c) aaaaaaaahhhhhhhh!!!!!! fanart type stuff already makes me scream so a tattoo aaaaahhhh!!!!

and then finally, d) please imagine how divinely grumpy Flor would be to know someone has a Clematis tattoo that he can never get because fairy healing.

PSA EVERYONE:

I decided to rewrite chapter 2 of the cherry blossoms/virgin!Choso series for the millionth time 😭

so, if you read the original chapter 2 and are confused as to why chapter 3 is so similar, I am so sorry 🫶 I will explain my thinking + what I changed here

I felt that I got too ahead of myself on the original chapter 2 that I posted; I got really excited to upload a second part and I rushed into it too much. when I went back and reread it, I kept wishing that it was more of a slow-burn because that just felt more accurate to Choso's character to me. I felt that the original pieces were lacking that characterization I wanted to express, and I wanted to fix that

SO, what I ended up doing was (sort of) splitting the original chapter 2 into the current chapter 2 and chapter 3:

new chapter 2: Choso and reader have a fun little make-out sesh that eases the two of you into the whole scene before he's just like actually down your throat 💀 it's on the fluffier side but I feel like it makes the whole story flow a lot better instead of Choso getting his first bj before a kiss like what was I thinking

chapter 3: gets right down to business; much smuttier than ch. 2 and has the same concepts as what I had written in the original ch. 2 (I am so sorry if this confusing to follow) but I expanded on all of the ideas a lot more so there is still a lot of fresh content

I hope that this makes sense lol - but basically I just took my original chapter 2 (if you were one of the lovely people who read it) and added a lot more plot between the start and finish <3

I am so sorry for my haste in uploading, but I promise I will be better in the future <3 thank you all for bearing with me and for all of your sweet comments and likes. I am having so much fun writing these little stories and it makes me so happy to see you guys enjoying them as well! I just want to write stuff that I feel is deserving of the characters I write for and for all of you kind people who read it 🥹🫶

Idk how much of the Bambi/injured series you have planned out but an idea I came up with whilst rereading it for the millionth time is Bambi finding a way to get in contact with jenni (through maybe a teammate or alba/eli realising Bambi needs jenni and calling her) and telling her all about the situation with alexia which leads to jenni being extremely protective and sticking up for Bambi, maybe flying over so that she can give Bambi a hug and also throw hands with alexia like alba did which leads to some serious grovelling on both alexia and olgas part when they realise they extent that the neglect went
