is rot the one who killed enji? and when touya dresses up as rei and puts on makeup in timh, was that rindou or touya still?

Rot's the one that kept continuously freaking out and trying to kill Enji in timh, that stabbed him the one time, flipped out and started throwing stuff around in the kitchen, etc and the one that broke out of house arrest and ran off towards the end. Rindou is the one that was dressing up in Reis lingerie and putting on make up. Technically it was Touya that killed Enji, he was freaking out in the bathroom after the fact trying to chop off his hair and accidently stabbed him.

See it'll be easier to understand the differences in 7tgh bc they all have different preferred pronouns

In TIMH, at the house, would investigators find proof of Enji fucking Touya from DNA in the bed and on the body? Touya never finished cleaning up the bathroom, where his hair and own blood should be found as well. And I could be wrong, but did he leave the panties he was wearing in the bathroom or somewhere else? There also should be evidence of Touya dragging his father around, undressing and dressing him, and unless Touya cleaned it up, the uneaten food he made his father should be there too. There would probably also be signs that Touya had sexual contact with the dead body as well.

The hospital staff, now that Enji is dead, could also come forward with what really happened to him.

This is all to say, Touya could absolutely be found not guilty of murder by reason of insanity. The problem would probably be the Hero Commission and whoever else wants to cover it up.

Yeahhh I mean, that's kinda why I left it open-ended to kinda leave it up to readers imagination of what happened later so like if you wanna look at it that way you can.

In my mind though, i think you hit the nail on the head with the ending line there. If there was any evidence, it would get covered up by the Commission and Endeavor would be kinda made out like he died as a martyr. In my mind, they paint a very warped picture- "Number 1 hero murdered by his own son while trying to give him a second chance" type of story.

Touya kinda fucked himself over unintentionally during his breakdown after Enji's death, so evidence was tampered with. He had sex with the corpse, but he also bathed and cleaned the body after (chapter 27) so there wouldn't be much evidence there. You can also assume he cleaned up anything else (bed sheets, the lingerie, the clothes Enji wore, other stuff got thrown in the laundry) while he was in the delusion kinda just wandering around the house cleaning and cooking like he was doing before Enji died. The bathroom was the last thing to get touched bc it kept breaking him out of the delusion, he got some of it before he left but if there's any evidence it's in there.

The problem is that everybody painted a real fucked up picture of what was going on, Enji was trying to do right by Touya, Touya manipulated and seduced him, and then he was killed either intentionally or Touya was "so crazy" he killed him on accident. Touya internalized that so that's where a lot of his ideals come from. Shouto and Natsuo tried to work things out on the outside, but like Shouto said nobody was really listening and Touya was still made out like he was at fault and deserved it. (Think it's chapter 15 where Shouto explains that he's tried talking to people but kept getting shut down) so it's very... Best case scenario, they write Touya off as crazy and he's institutionalized again. He's a serial killer so, like, even if they do a not guilty by insanity, they're still gonna get him on the murders before, or other charges related to the Enji incident (like him invading arrest, dissertation of a corpse, cutting off his house arrest anklet, tampering with evidence). It's not really a secret the general people in that au don't sympathize with Touya at all, so he'd kinda be fucked if he ever did get arrested again.

What are some of the differences between this is my home and 7tgh if you don't mind explaining? I was hoping for a sequel to this is my home so indirect or not I'm happy

Ik a lot of people wanted a sequel to timh and 7tgh is about the closest thing you'll get to a continuation, though there is a lot of key differences that impact things- which is why I say its loosely connected.

The villain rehab facility in timh that the league were in does not exist in 7tgh.

Instead the remaining League Members were put elsewhere (Tartarus 2.0 and the place spinner and toga were at that specialized in quirks like theirs).

This adds a whole different layer to Touya's situation with house arrest because a big part of timh was that there were objectively a better option in the rehab program, even if it wasnt great, it was objectively not anything awful or fucked up and a lot of the stuff Enji was telling Touya was manipulation and scare tactics.

In 7tgh, the alternatives weren't helpful what so over and it was basically abuse of authority, dehumanization, rotting in a cell, etc. Had Enji not made the arrangements he did for Touya, Touya would have probably ended up some place like the rest of the League had, and been dehumanized and left to rot in a cell. Obviously, some would argue it's better than being subjected to a fuck ton of physical, emotional, and sexual abuse via Enji as well as family issues, being overmedicated, and public outrage but Touya (and almost everyone else) doesn't understand that. In a way, in 7tgh you could argue there was something Enji was trying to spare Touya from and protect him by pulling strings to have him on house arrest, because if he didn't he very well would have been mistreated in prison like the rest of the League was. It was still manipulation, but there's truth in it in a sense- and on paper house arrest looks like the better option if you didn't know about the stuff Touya endured with Enji.

The League doesn't know the full extent of Enji's abuse

The whole thing with Fuyumi and Natsuo visiting the league in timh and telling them about what was going on with Enji and Dabi didn't happen. The League doesn't know much more than what Dabi said in the reveal

Touya's backstory is different than in timh and in canon

Mainly Touya's backstory from 13-23 is different than in canon and what was hinted at in timh. He still got snatched by afo after the fire, but there's a whole other deal going on with Ujiko's lab. Obv family dynamics and how Touya grew up in the Todoroki house is different than canon, but that's more my usual hcs.

Post-canon stuff is a bit different

The war happened in both and they both left Dabi pretty fucked up physically. Main difference is timh Dabi only lost an arm, while 7tgh Dabi lost an arm and a leg. Both universes had Touya healed some via medical bs and quirk shit, but 7tgh Dabi probably had more stuff done, and less intense scarring due to that, though it was probably more experimental. Timh didn't go into a lot of detail of how Dabi survived or what was done to him medically to fix him though.

I'm sure there's more but those are probably the main ones? I think? If I think of anything else I'll add on
