"I really hate the racist hysteria in the fandom caused by the POC characters in the Haze story (and the way RC caved in to their demands)

Nobody in the Russian racist fandom gave a damn when an entire Sumerian (which, yk, is in the Middle East, with, yk, Brown people) pantheon got whitewashed in the Tiamat book

Nobody opposed the fact that they used white people (Manu Rios and Timur Simakov) for character inspiration while designing both of the KCD Indian LIs (which is why neither Amrit nor Ratan look like actual Indian men)

Nobody had any issues with the entire population of Egypt in SOTCN being light-skinned and Eurocentric

Nobody asked where are all the Brown people in the Heaven's Secret series. Which is weird considering it's using the biblical lore and the Bible describes the events happening in the Middle East and North Africa. So wtf is everybody so damn white?

Make no mistake, these people don't care about accuracy or respecting cultures or whatever bullshit they're trying to sell us. They just want to make everyone as white as possible even it's against the lore of the story"

Edit: I put another Snape - Grindelwald parallel in the post (them being dark arts prodigies lol), and also modified the Albus Severus Potter part and the first part as well (I wanted to highlight that both Lily and Albus have distinct eyes and that they were model students and magically powerful).

I also added one more parallel about Snape's and Grindelwald's antagonistic relationships with Petunia and Aberforth including them enacting violence (though it was accidental in Snape's case) on them.I also used Toby Regbo as Dumbledore and Jamie Campbell Bower as Grindelwald and used a different pic for Lily (I thought that since most of the meta covers their youth, might as well use their 'teenage' actors).Also I rearranged the Snape-Grindelwald parallels and the Petunia-Aberforth being antagonised by them parallels and I changed the Albus Severus Potter fancast too (he really gave me the, ✨ vibes, ✨ ,y'know?), and I added more fanart as you can see.

I also changed the Albus Severus Potter bit again.

these are the people i've found who most match how i see the characters in my head and who i typically use for edits and stuff. they're not perfect tbh but they're far closer than the popular ones to what i imagine them to look like (i hate all the popular ones rip)

sirius: i've used gabriel marques in the past (great hair) but recently I've converted to young steve winwood like this image is just sirius to me:

james. james is very difficult for me, i've never found anyone who I 100% like for him. the closest is timur simakov especially in this pic but his hair is obv the wrong colour and no glasses pics. :( the glasses are what make jameses difficult to find

Remus: luke newberry. idk why this isn't the MOST popular remus fancast. he was cast to play teddy. he's got the lupin vibes. lots of material, gay material even, for tiktoks or whatever the kids make these days. everyone is too cowardly to let remus be average but still cute in his own way

IMPORTANT CHARACTER INFORMATION TO NOTE AND SHARE (this could be important headcanons for initial plotting, mini bios etc, supporting docs): born deep in siberian wilds, stefan grew up with magic being something wild and wondrous, in a small community of people, some local and some not, practicing it in various different ways. perhaps that’s the reason why stefan’s own gifts are so unusual.

he has been sharply aware of magic around him since early childhood, it later developing into something almost akin to synesthesia: magic translates to colours, sounds and tastes to him, although it’s not always as straightforward as, let’s say, reading auras or detecting magic via a spell.it has always been a little weird. stefan themselves have always been a little weird.

perhaps it’s the reason why he has always felt most at home surrounded by nature. stefan didn’t really have many friends growing up, apart from his elders who passed down their various arcane and occult crafts to him; he only ever secured a handful of loose acquaintances when he went to get his degree in biology (the longest time he has ever lived in a city, absolutely awful); and later on his work as an expert in magical flora, with a particular specialization in harvesting magical wood, was more suited for frequent travel, than getting to know people (excluding a particular wandmaker who might or might not just be the best thing that has happened to stefan, not that he would say it out loud).

Do you know what Timur Simakov is doing now?? I use to be so obsessed with him back in 2015, and when I went back to look at his Insta, he changed alot, womdering if he still models.
