October's Tiny Reptile and Mini Amphibian: Van Gogh starry gecko and mudpuppy!

The Van Gogh starry gecko was first described in an academic publication in March 2024. These geckos are native to southern India and grows to around 1.4 inches. Only male geckos are blue, while female geckos are predominantly brown.

Mudpuppies are fully aquatic, nocturnal salamanders found in the eastern United States. They rely on their frilly, external gills for oxygen, and they grow to around 13 inches in length.
