⋆ jay thinks he’s the biggest and toughest person, but in reality he’s a total softie.

⋆ he hates when he finds himself falling for someone that isn’t a stereotypical ‘bubble headed blonde bimbo’, meaning he’ll actually have to try to get noticed by them. he especially hates when he found himself falling for you.

⋆ you were just some nerd compared to him, you didn’t care for sports, you didn’t show up to parties or games, you were just focused on your studies and graduating college—!

⋆ at first he started annoying you; throwing papers on your desk, bumping into you, knocking your bag over. when he finally got a reaction from you, he was over the moon, even if you essentially told him to ‘fuck off’.

“jesus christ, jonathan! fuck off, you’re so annoying!” you groaned and grabbed the piece of paper he threw at you, looking back at him and tossed it right back. you didn’t understand why he was smiling so much at you.

“thanks, sweetheart.” he smiled and grabbed the paper, un-crubbling it to see the small note he had written for you, one asking you on a date. he couldn’t help but feel a little sad that you didn’t notice, but he knew one day you’d realize what the papers meant.

⋆ the second you started giving him attention, he was using it to his advantage. moving into bright colored sticky notes so they’d pop out on the brown desk, if they stuck to your black bag it was obvious he was messing with you.

⋆ he’ll follow you around the school when he can, making excuses like he’s simply going to class or lunch, but in reality he’s just attempting to admire you.

⋆ be purposely started failing the class you had together so the teacher would force you to help him, causing the two of you to become closer somewhat, but you were still insanely annoyed by him.

⋆ he would act so dumb when you point out an obvious answer, looking at you with big doe eyes in an attempt to get you to just give in and kiss him already; but we all know that’s not gonna happen (yet).

⋆ he starts inviting you to parties, not surprised when you decline his offers at first, but after so many times you give in and show up to a overcrowded frat hour at 12 AM.

“jay, what the hell?” you looked at him with a worried expression, seeing him already downing shots in the kitchen with his friends, who were busy hyping him up. he looked up at you with a soft gaze, approaching you and leaning down to whisper in your ear. “just have fun, toots. let loose a little.”

he had convinced you to have one shot of pure vodka some kid has gotten his hands on, the liquid burned going down, causing you to gag and reach for the nearest soda, which just so happen to be jay’s. you snatched it from his hand, drinking it quickly to get rid of the taste. “god, that was disgusting!” you didn’t even realize he was staring at your lips, thinking about how you technically kissed because your lips touched the same spot of the fan.

⋆ this boy can’t let it go. the sight of you at that party will forever be embedded in his brain. he had managed to get a picture of you with a wide smile on your face, his arm around your waist, and his lips making contact with your temple. which that picture was now his lock screen.

⋆ the first time you caught a glimpse of the picture, your face became red. he tried to ignore it, but simply couldn’t, finally giving in to ask you on a date.

⋆ he went on a whole rant about how much he liked you and how pretty he thought you were, his own face becoming flush as he waited for you to say something—anything!

⋆ of course when you said you felt the same, he practically lost his mind! this beautiful person he had been crushing on for months, liked him back?? it was unbelievable!

⋆ he was a little afraid to tell him frat bros at first, but was happy when they were cool with it, and even let him invite you over occasionally.

⋆ you had grown lowkey close with his best friend, ted, the two of you ganging up on jay occasionally and making fun of him.

⋆ for anniversaries he begs ted to help him set up stuff for you, it’s small at first, but as the numbers and amount of time get bigger, the more insane the date was!

“jay, where are you?” you called out into the empty frat house, furrowing your brows at the fact the lights weren’t on and most people were probably asleep, forcing you to use your phone flashlight to not wake anyone. you made your way to his room, slowly creaking the door open, being greeted by the entire frat house shooting confetti poppers at you and screaming their heads off.

“jesus! what are you guys doing?” you pushed the confetti out of your face, looking up to see jay holding up a bouquet and a poster reading out ‘happy 1 year!’. you could feel the blush rising to your face, smiling widely and rushed into his arms, earning a kiss on the head and him mumbling against your hair. “i love you, sweetheart.”

⋆ by the time you two graduated together, everyone was fully convinced you were gonna get married. even professors knew you two were dating, some purposely seating you two far apart so you wouldn’t be all up on one another— even though you weren’t.

⋆ he had bought you a necklace for graduation, one that matched a ring he wore on his ring finger. the entire time he was waiting for your name to be announced, a wide smile on his lips as he finally heard it, probably being the loudest to clap and cheer.

⋆ after your friends all met up with each other, you tucked under his arm and his hand rubbing your side. he occasionally placed a kiss on your forehead, mumbling against your skin about how he was so proud of you and how much he loved you.

⋆ of course— you moved in with each other, living in the same apartment complex as some of his buddies, where all of you would often meet up and hold small parties, just like the ones in college.

- watching him clean his glasses, or push them up the bridge of his nose while working. seeing them fogged up during winter days, the way his eyebrows punch together at the sight of the fogged glass. taking them off and wiping them with his shirt, sighing before putting them back on, and reaching his hand back out for you to take.

- laying in bed, late mornings or early nights. head on his chest and tucked under his chin, listening to the thump thump of his heart pumping blood through his veins. the sound of his soft breathing, the feel of it as it brushes against your skin, how warm & jarring it is. his one hand on your side or hand; stroking gently with his palm or fingers. his other hand focused in your hair or on your hairline. pushing back stray strands, or brushing his fingertips against your skin; in circles or strokes.

- planting on the first day of the season, a random day he took off to spend with you, now knee deep in dirt and admiring you with so much love he thought his heart might explode. helping you with placing the seeds and covering them, ensuring they're the right depth in the ground. (you know all of this, but having him guide you is relaxing and makes it an even more enjoyable experience.)

- taking his beetle into the city, getting passenger princess/prince/royalty privileges. his hand on your thigh, moving to brush hair out of your face at stop lights, his eyes always instinctually looking for you when the car is stopped. going to museums and restaurants and shops, holding his hand or fingers or looping your finger in his belt loops; wanting to hold onto him at all times.

- waking before you only to make you breakfast. he has to rush into work minutes after you get settled at the table, but seeing your face, kissing your lips, with the morning sun casted through the windows is all he needs to function. why have his coffee when he has you?

- we all know he's on the older side, he has an older man routine. comes home on long days, sits in his chair with his lamp and reads with a glass of wine (or whiskey if the day was bad enough). pats his thigh and sits back, beckoning for you to sit in his lap. he'll have you curl into his chest, his hands splayed across your hips or sides or stomach, keeping you pinned against his body. he reads to you, in a gentle voice. kisses pressed against your forehead with care, hoping you fall asleep so he can tuck you in while he does paper work in his office just off the bedroom.

- him getting dressed in the mornings, in the same order each day. pressed pants, shoes, shirt, tie, jacket, + a scarf if needed. (his watch only comes off before showers, he puts it on immediately after getting out + his white coat stays at the clinic.)

- staying by his side in the maze on spirit's eve. you pretended to be brave, only to get scared shitless and end up with him trying to protect you. he was just as scared, but some of that fear left when he realized he could make you feel safe, that he could protect you. that he isn't all that weak.

Baseball Chris and Matt hc’s;

notes; hello! I don’t know if anyone is interested in this idea but I really love it so, here’s some hc for it! I suck at hc’s so bare with me but I hope you enjoy these and yeah!

Chris:

- he’s the pitcher, no doubt about it. The power and precision he has with the ball throws the other team off every time.

- He’s also good at batting but it’s not his strong suit and he’s ok with that!

- Early to every practice with Matt just to warm up before the rest of the e team shows up

- Now when you and him start to date, he didn’t expect you to come to his games especially with how early the relationship was. He didn’t send you the schedule, not wanting to put pressure on you to go.

- But when he saw you at his first game of the season, wearing his sweatshirt he had given you on one of your dates with his number on the back, he wore a grin the whole game and you being there was his “good luck charm”.

- So from then on, you were at each game, home or away. You sat with his parents and Nick as you watched the boys play, wearing the sweatshirt or a shirt Chris had given you that either had his last name or number on the back. He claimed it was because he didn’t want them anymore but you knew it was because he liked seeing you in them.

- Likes to put his hat on your head after a game and watch you complain about it being sweaty, but he can’t help it. You look cute in his stuff.

- Has a handshake with you before games for extra luck

- You help him but eye black on and he likes to put some on you if you are ok with it. Usually puts his number on your cheek.

Matt:

- he’s either at 3rd base or he’s the catcher. Both very good spots for great catchers, and I feel like Matt has great hand to eye coordination.

- he’s loves to bat, loves the thrill of it. Again with hand to eye coordination, he’s good at knowing when to swing and what ball is good or not.

- Matt drives himself and Chris to practice early and usually goes to the gas station or a drive thru after practice as a reward as Chris puts it.

- Matt invites you to come to his games, sends you the schedule and tells you if it’s home or away, but also tells you to not worry if you don’t want to or can’t, that he understands.

- It wasn’t even a game, it was the first scrimmage of the year before the season actually started and you were there. Sitting with his parents, watching the game play out as you chatted with his mom about everything, cheering him on while you did. (Chris too).

- After the scrimmage he drops his bag and lifts you up in his arms as he just holds you and thanks you for coming. From then on you tried to make every game and scrimmage they had, late or early.

- Gives you a bunch of his older baseball clothes from early highschool years or even middle school that had his number on them so you could wear to games.

- Loves when you stand by the gates and are behind him, if he is the catcher, cheering him on and knowing you’re there. Likes to wink at you after striking the opposing team out and maybe blow a kiss- (he likes seeing you blush)

- For senior night, he definitely has you come out with his family. Says you’re just as important to where he is now as the rest of them.

overheating anytime you look at him, and overheats more from the panic of not knowing what in the fuck is wrong with him.

as most of the ninja do- he goes to nya.

he explains everything, all of his symptoms, the way your glances make him panic and overheat.

she smiles almost immediately, instantly knowing that he's twitterpated.

having a meltdown and Ted just picking you up and holding you to his chest. you cry and shake but when you're calmed down a bit he sits you closer to his knees and holds your face, thumbs rubbing your cheeks. tears wiped away with one sift motion, a lingering soft kiss to your forehead is placed.

"what happened, hun?" he'll ask, eyebrows drawn together and eyes glancing over the frames of his glasses.

you whimper and hide your face in his shoulder, wanting to disappear and become one with him. he sighs, nose nuzzling into the crook of your neck. soft kisses placed amidst your skin as his hands press on your back; fingertips rubbing over your shirt.

"do you want to talk or a distraction?" you shrug and he gives you a few more moments of silence and affection, feeling your body relax in his hold; the tension dissipates quicker than it came. he asks again, and you answer with distraction.

"good, hunnybunch," he hums, he rocks you side to side in his lap. he hums a soft tune before he reaches over by the coffee table, grabbing the remote in his hand. the TV gets turned on and he sets you beside him, tucked into his side as you calm down a bit more. you glance up at him, chin on his chest as he rubs up and down your back, fingertips circling shapes.

he's scrolling through Netflix, probably on a search for your comfort show, something to distract you and help you stay grounded. things have been rough lately, and he just wants to make things easier on you.

he looked so soft from where you were, serene and comforting. his glasses perched gently on his nose, falling slightly. hair dampened from his shower, but styled in the bit of a swoop he always has. he looks so.. relaxed. you curl up into him, arms wrapped around his middle and leg tossed over his lap. you want to be one with him, and close isn't close enough.

Ted laughs as he feels you press closer to him, "are you okay, my love?" a kiss is placed at the crown of your head, his lips linger and a hum reverberates through you. you sigh, gripping his sides, bunching up the fabric of his shirt in your balled up hands.

you shrug, "better," then press your cheek to his shoulder. his arm wraps around your waist, pulling you closer as he turns on your favorite show; adjusting the volume and pulling a blanket up over you both.

"I love you," a gentle whisper into your hair, and your body relaxes even further. you feel content, and happy, entirely happy with where you lie.

his hand rubs up your back, resting right in the middle of your spine as you reach up, fingertips on his jaw as you bring him into a soft and sweet kiss.

"I love you too."

space camp boarding school (bs) au thoughts (chuckle boys)

a/n; I'll do more x reader base headcanons after a while but for now have my silly lil thoughts on the chuckle boys at space camp boarding school😌

charlie is the one that gets every question right during presentations. everyone rolls their eyes at him when he answers (I think it's hot but whatever-)

ted is the best leader, so team exercises, missions-- that's his forte. he's also an amazing communicator so he definitely gets stuck in positions where he's always in back and forth communication with someone.

schlatt on the other hand would seemingly be the jock, and he sort of is. best volleyball player across the entire school. every section and level possible. its safe to say he wins every championship he can, and is definitely the team captain.

charlie enjoys academics the most, although he has a tendency to slack and rely on just *knowing* which annoys the hell out of his crew trainers most often. SO MANY MEETINGS WITH THEM !!! they're always on him about actually trying, and that slacking is setting a bad example. does he care? not really!

ted is a mix of a hands on learner and an academic fella. he loves any project that involves steps and physically working on it. goes absolutely feral when it comes time to do any sort of rocket launch. seriously is bouncing with joy!!

schlatt could care less about academic learning although he's always been the most interested in space history. it's just intriguing to him how much has gone into space exploration over the years. his favorite fact is the first rocket in recorded history was actually a weapon that was created with a bamboo shoot and gunpowder :3

all three of them love activity nights. what are activity nights you may ask? every saturday evening there's an optional activity that lasts for an hour for the whole school (space camp is on their own campus and the levels each have an hour back to back, theyre not gonna make the advanced acad kids suffer by doing scavenger hunts with the space acad kids) sometimes it's trivia night or a scavenger hunt or maybe it's something like cookie decorating!! it's always fun and space related and all three of them find it enjoyable in some capacity.
