26/28 Dinner was my leftover raw vegetables from lunch, stir fried more vegetables & eggs, as I had fish soup, some of my extra vegetables, goji berries & walnuts for lunch. 24/28 I think playing with presentation & the use of colours, brighten dishes and make things look better, like playing with makeup. 22/28 "Protein & Fiber at every meal make burning fat no big deal!" Love this mantra just looking at what I've been eating! (so much more than in 2020) plus exercise these 14 days I dare say, if we know how to do it right, we don't have to become vegetarian or starve to become lighter or healthier. I know I'm petite but there is such thing as #skinnyfat and I'm glad I don't feel that #COVID20fat now. 21/28 Learnt that if storing tomatoes in the fridge, I should remove a few days before eating so they can return to room temp as it would affect the enzyme activity that impacts the flavor. Also to speed up ripening process, I should leave them on the counter. Since the tomatoes I received this round were not so ripe, I'll have to do that. 18/28 First day back to office, after 17 days of this challenge working from home, I had some learning points: 1. Breakfast/Snack/Lunch: Avoid adding garlic and onions, else u can't snack leftovers in office, even if secretly despite social distancing 馃槀 (but luckily no one was around me today but I was conscious enough of the garlic smell) 2. Snack/Lunch: Extra raw vegetables in airtight container is a great alternative if want to eat out with colleagues - - in case lunch meal doesn't have enough veges, we can have extra lunch back in office or as snacks. If not needed at least they stay fresh enough to be packed back home for dinner or other meals. 3. It is easier to go with the flow, when I know what are my alternatives. So I shall keep learning, doing, monitoring, adjusting. 17/28 Created my own kind of bubble tea = Chocolate Shake + Blueberries. Tasted not bad I could have used less water if I wanted it thicker. 15/28 It was 馃崋Brinjal馃崋 Day for me. Cause I didn't keep them nicely and I spotted mould when took the Big one out for cutting, so I decided to eat all of them before they turn worse and wasted. And that was how I found that grilled brinjal and grilled carrots which taste like steamed sweet potatoes after grilling - - taste great together! So yummy + steamed black pepper garlic dory. It was alot 馃槄so I snacked on them and brought over veges to the dinner and had some guava when I got sick of brinjal 馃槀 We had grilled Japanese food for dinner, so i brought my bowl of veges. Couldn't resist the smoked salmon (gone before I took photo) & unagi, squid tasted great too! 11/28 Felt bad for cheating yesterday hahah so did a little detox day and steamed more vegetables for breakfast & lunch together. 5/28 I learnt that not completely thawing the salmon was a good thing cause I rinsed the surface of the salmon thoroughly (let me know if I'm not supposed to do that, I'm just anyhow going with the flow as usual) before steaming everything together. Turned out just nice didn't even need to add any water or oil.
