Hello, it’s a pleasure to join this lovely hell.

After Alice pestering me to start tumbler, going on how “fun” and “crazy” it is. Especially on about some creepy needle guy or whatever is interacting with the others.

I just finally gave in, so here I am.

Probably going to post about bear facts after I get situated with my search of a job.

So, about TMAGP episodes 01 and 02

There's a couple things that got me really worried:

The implications of being able (or not) to leave the OIAR, and

The two main ways the characters interact with the incidents

There’s a strong theme in both episodes about being able to resign or leave the OIAR. First thing we are introduced to, is Teddy leaving for another job. Lena tells Gwen she can leave if she wants, and Gwen tells Sam the same. The only exception is when Teddy tells Colin “you’re never getting out of here”,  “you couldn’t bring yourself to leave”. Knowing Colin is currently the one most obsessed with finding out what’s going on, as his job literally consists in closely studying how the systems work… It makes me think this job starts getting dangerous if you get too deep, take it seriously and let it affect you. Is Colin in danger?

Also, there’s two ways to classify the incidents in the OIAR. You either prioritize quantity, or quality. Alice does quantity, she wisely advises Sam to just get over with the incident caseload of the day, don’t read into the incidents too deeply, and move on. Gwen on the other hand takes it more seriously, and gets behind her caseload on purpose, because she classifies each incident correctly, paying attention to them. The question is, which one is more dangerous? Is Alice’s method similar to the way Gertrude kept the Archives messy on purpose, fucking up Jonah’s plans while also protecting herself? In the OIAR, Lena is the manager. You would assume she wants each incident to be read thoroughly and classified correctly, but it seems the opposite. She scolds Gwen telling her she’s behind her caseload again. And Gwen is pissed because no one takes her or the job seriously, and she thinks she would be a better manager than Lena. Is Lena actually protecting the staff? I can’t stop thinking about Gwen fucking Bouchard eventually taking control of the OIAR, forcing the employees to read deeply and research each incident, getting them all obsessed, their minds and wills lost into whatever power is in control…

This is all really bad news for Sam. Poor boy is already showing an affinity for researching, questioning everything, wondering, wanting to find out… He’s even researching The Magnus Institute’s ruins, for whatever connection he has with it. He would’ve been perfect meat for The Beholding. He’s gonna get balls deep into this madness, and fast. But Colin might be the one falling first…

Right so this week's Protocol episode was actually really good

Paperwork - Sam is still filing a bunch of paperwork that make me think of what people were talking about with The Magnus Institute's program that involved children back before the institute burned down. don't know the details of those tests btw

FR3-D1 - FR3-D1 is listening in and can think in some way. Sam was talking about he couldn't find anything about the institute, and immediately Chester started talking about the institute, presumably reading a statement directly from the institute

The Statement Itself - This episode's statement is seriously one of my favorites so far. definitely top 9 (hehe) seriously though, this was an amazing statement, with the luck and that description of what happened with Gary, and then the slightly ominous [Transcription ends. Statement giver declared dead by paramedics] was fun

Lena Seeing Things? - Gwen knocked on Lena's office door and Lena knew it was her. My first thought was similar to how Elias and Jon could see who was going into their office in Archives, but here it's probably just Lena being specific about her scheduling

Mr. Bonzo - I didn't participate in the arg but I know that he was at least a thing that was there, as well as some artistic recreations of him, so I know he is a somewhat important character. Also, Lena having Gwen go to the creator (?) of Mr. Bonzo and having her pay attention to his actions, stress, etc. is a bit suspicious

Teddy!! - Teddy just hanging out with Alice chatting about stuff. He mentioned that he was trying to get a job and got downsized the day he was hired, which, after a statement dealing with luck, makes me think it has anything to do with him leaving the OIAR. having some sort of curse of "you left so now no more job lmao"

The Ruins - Sam wants to take Alice to go and visit the ruins of the Institute, which... they're gonna be fine, it'll be fine, it's it's fine they'll be okay hahfhshxh

Extremely far fetched tmagp theory time:

In tmagp episode 1 during Teddy’s goodbye party Lena told him to clean up his work station before he leaves. Teddy responded: “hm? Oh I already d- oh. That’s- uh… Right, hang on, I’ll just-“ and turns off the recording. A little after Teddy has left Lena promotes Gwen and gives her an in into the “real work”. What if Teddy was in on what’s actually happening in the OIAR and now that he’s gone Lena needed to find a replacement and that’s why she promoted Gwen.

Teddy is a long long long descent of the Lukas Family and has no connections with them. [Me]

Sam hates confrontation especially with authority figures [Helined]

SPOILERS FOR TMAGP EP. 9

is it just me or does it feel like there's no real choice here? it really feels like it makes you think you have a choice, but you really don't. I feel like the case Chester read out really explained that. He didn't have to roll the dice, but he choose to and he could've stopped at any time but didn't? even at the end when he wanted to give the dice away and didn't want to roll them again, knew what happened when someone who gave them away did and he rolled the anyway, suddenly changing his tune? and then we find out that teddy is having trouble keeping a job ever since he quit?

my theory is that teddy is gonna end up going back. I think either there is no real choice, it's just making us think there is, or that it's an addiction.

So after ep 11, the current list of relationships goes

sam-alice: exes to lovers

sam-celia: coworkers to lovers

alice-celia: romantic rivals to lovers (+alice bought her coffee)

gwen-alice: enemies to lovers (THE COFFEE)

gwen-lena: enemies to lovers (i cant be the only one who sees it)

sam-colin: coworkers to lovers (hes the only one who worries about colins well being)

colin-teddy: lovers (its not cannon but at the same time theres no way its not cannon)

I see no way for this to be resolved other than an extreme amount of deaths leaving only two people to get together or protocule becoming cannon

I really hope its the latter

the way alice isn't convinced that teddy will stay in touch and then we haven't heard from him since despite him seeming like pretty good friends with everyone there...maybe the real tragedy isn't people not being able to leave but people leaving and never coming back...

I tolerate Gwen and she tolerates me, we keep out of eachothers way I guess. Alice is funny sometimes, except when she's being annoyong or flirting with the computers. Sam is um... new. I'm sad Teddy left (if he still counts). And Lena doesn't let me smash the computers so I don't like her
