I have found it! The blog that writes fics for the dark turtles clones! HUZZA!
I personally think the clones have an interesting relationship with food. Considering how Darius “rewarded” them with it, they would definitely have an adjustment if they were to adapt into life in the penthouse
Now picture this. Chef reader that introduces the clones to beautifully made food/ cuisine that lands them in a sticky situation of becoming the personal cook to 4 unstable turtle clones.
Who knows, maybe one of the clones gets attached to more than just the new yummy snacks? Maybe they don’t want to share just the food? I see this as fluffy but honestly take it in any direction you want
but consider dark Donnie? Maybe a dash of dark Leo? :}
The Luxury of Good Food (Fluff)
Dark Raphael x reader
A/N: You finally found it!🙌🏻💚 I totally agree. There’s no doubt that they would have a strange relationship with food, and life in the penthouse would most likely take them a long time to adapt to. You asked for me to consider Dark Donnie or Dark Leo, but I honestly think this would work better with Dark Raph. Hope you’ll still enjoy!🖤❤️
------------
Warning: Spelling, strange relationship with food, Dark Raph being a cute goof🖤❤️
------------
You had been Cody Jones’ chef for some time now, making food for the young heir throughout the day. It was a good job and paid very well, and gave you your own room in the big penthouse, overlooking New York City. Along with that Cody had always been friendly, his robot butler Serling seemed somewhat happy to have you around, even if he never told you.
During your time on the job, you had become pretty good friends with Cody Jones, becoming one of the few people he had around on a daily basis. You became so close in fact, that Cody told you about the projects he was working on in his lab. One of them being a time window that would allow him to look into his great grandparent’s past, at least when he had finished it.
And Cody did finish his time window, except it turned into something other than a time window. It became a one time working time machine, and through the time machine came four mutant turtles and their rat father. See that, had never been part of your job description.
With five extra mouths in the penthouse to feed, your job became a bit more challenging. But you were happy that none of your knew housemates had anything against your food, eating it with as good manners as they could muster, enjoying every bite. You liked the four turtles and the rat. You liked them a lot. And it didn’t take long before you became friends with them too.
Then, a year later, your four new housemates returned back to their own time, even taking Serling with them by accident, leaving you and Cody back alone in the big penthouse. But that didn’t last long. Soon, after events that are too many to mention at this moment, you got four new housemates once more. The four Kanabo clones of the turtles.
The clones where… different. They took up much more space than their counterparts, only taking two of them to fill up a whole couch. They were louder, and spoke harder and faster. And they weren’t good at discussing things, but they were good at throwing, especially each other. You would never forget the time you walked into the living room, just in time to see Dark Leo and Dark Donnie throw Dark Mikey around like a football.
But when it came to food, they were much different than their counterparts. It wasn’t that they didn’t like your food. No, no, they swallowed it all right in front of you and Cody, scaring both of you whenever one of them accidentally swallowed a fork or a spoon. But not only did they just shovel the food down, but they also tried to steal food from each other. Dark Raph being the worst. He would almost jump over the table, pushing his brothers out of the way in order to get their food on his own.
To say it like it was, Raph was brutal. Whenever he saw you bring food to the table, he did small jumps in his seat, just waiting for you to place the food down. And once you had done so, he jumped on it, eating it so fast before his brothers could get any, that you had to return to the kitchen to make more. It was at the point where his brothers started screaming and yelling at him, telling him to leave some for them. And of course that brought up another fight, until you once again brought food to the table.
You couldn’t help but feel bad for the clones. You remembered what Dark Leo had said, back when Leonardo and the others still were there. You took what you could in order to survive. Food was a gift for when they had done great, and even then they had to fight for it. It was no wonder that Raph would go absolutely feral when you brought food in. He just wasn’t used to having so much food in front of him, his fight and survival responses kicking in whenever he saw an opportunity to eat, fearing that his dinner would be taken from him once more. So one evening when you couldn’t sleep, and decided to make your way to the kitchen in order to get a glass of water, you weren’t really that surprised to find Raph in there.
Raph stood with his head in the fridge, devouring all the food he could get his hands on. You guessed he had had a nightmare or was feeling anxious for some reason, and now he was trying to soothe himself the only way he knew. With food. Because food meant safety and survival. And as much as you wished for Raph to feel safe and comfortable, he was eating the whole stock.
“What are you doing?”, you asked, causing the red half turtle to jump from the fridge, a chicken bone sticking out of his mouth and a sheepish look on his face.
“I was just, uh…”, he trailed off, his clone mind shutting off in sudden moments of stress. Poor Raph. He had never been as quick with words as Raphael, and even then, he had a limited vocabulary.
“Step back from the fridge”, you calmly told the clone, making sure not to sound threatening in any way shape or form. And it worked. Raph stepped back from the fridge and closed it, looking at the ground sheepishly. Once again you felt pity for the kanabo clone. The poor guy was just trying to calm himself down.
You went to the kitchen island and pulled out a chair for him. “Sit”, you told him, before moving to the stove. Raph did as you told him to, taking a seat at the kitchen island, silently watching as looked through the fridge, checking what food was left. He watched in wonder as you moved around the kitchen. Cutting up vegetables and getting what little of the chicken that was left, ready for the pan.
Raph had never seen someone treat food like that. It was strange, and he was not used to it. Sure, he had eaten your food, but he had never thought about what you did to it, nor how much time you spent on it. Raph couldn’t help but watch in amazement as you worked.
When you finally finished the chicken and roasted vegetables and placed them on a plate in front of Raph, he eagerly picked up the plate, ready to tip all of it into his mouth. But you stopped him.
“No”, you said, holding your finger up in front of him, as if he was a dog. And to your surprise, it worked once again. Raph stalled, placing the plate back down, making you smile at him. Had he been any other color than red, you might have been able to see the blush he felt on his cheeks. “Eat it slowly”.
Raph did as you told him to, taking a small careful bite of the chicken. And to his surprise, he experienced something he had never experienced before. Taste. The good taste of your food. It was as if his mind was blown wide open. He had always known that food was good. It had filled his stomach and made him feel full and safe, but with his fast eating, he had never taken the time to actually taste his food before. But now he did. All thanks to you.
After that evening, Raph followed you around like a lost puppy. It did not matter if you had food with you or not - he just always seemed to be there. He would hang around you in the kitchen and even offer to help you with your cooking. You thought it was sweet and gave him easy tasks to do. It was actually quite nice to have an extra pair of hands in the kitchen, when you had to cook for four large half kanabo, half mutant turtle clones. And to your pleasant surprise, Raph no longer ate his brothers off the table. He did eat with eagerness, but he still took his time. The first time he used a fork, both you and Cody looked utterly surprised, wondering how that could be possible.
Well, it didn’t take long before you learned how it was possible. One day when you stood in the kitchen, cooking yet another dinner, Raph came in, just as sheepishly as usual when he wanted to help you cook. But that day he seemed more nervous than usual, his big hands playing with themselves. You couldn’t deny that it was adorable. It was like looking at a big teddy bear.
“Hey, Raph”, you said, turning down the heat on the potatoes as you smiled at him. “Anything I can help you with?”
Raph looked mildly panicked, as if he realized he now had to tell you what he had been thinking about for several weeks now. “Uhm… no, I- I just wanted to talk to you about something”, the red turtle said in a stammer.
“Oh?”, you asked, turning fully towards him, once you were sure that the food would get burned in the short time you weren’t looking.
Raph stood uneasily, shifting his weight from one thick leg to another, as he slowly and nervously found the words that would express how he was feeling. “I- I like you l- like I like your f- food”, the red Kanabo clone muttered, looking at the ground with his hands behind his back.
You looked at him for a moment, trying to figure out what he had just told you. And then suddenly you realized. A smile spread across your face as you took in his nervous demeanor, your heart fluttering at the sight.
“Aw, Raph”, you said, bringing him in for a hug that made him freeze in place. “I like you too”.
“Really?”, he asked, hope shining in his eyes, as he let go of the breath he didn’t realize that he was holding.
“Yes, really”, you said, letting go of him in order to turn back towards the cooking food, sending him a smile over your shoulder. “Now, how do you feel about helping me cook for tonight?”
The bright sweet smile that spread across Raph’s face was enough of an answer for you.

It becomes less shocking when Cody Jones becomes a center of a strife for the umpteenth time over a period of time when you get to know him, and his terrapin friends weren't really the start of Cody's magnetic misfortune that always finds him.
But before the turtles appeared and became caretakers who put the red-haired teen out of trouble there were other people, Serling, Starlee Hambrath and Y/N L/N, his 'supportive' uncle doesn't really count.
And when Cody's family friend, Y/N, happens to be around when on vacation, then they came to terms that as a second adult in Cody's life and as a friend they hold a certain responcibility that comes with involvement in Cody's troubles. After the fiasco on the Moon he and the turtles executed when Y/N wasn't around for a moment, they became extra sharp at observing so nothing would get past them again.
When Serling contacted Y/N there's a rule that had to be made not to bring them to the highest stress levels; first, make it clear that no one is hurt if that is the case, and then explain the situation. Y/N was just out shopping when the loyal robot caretaker made a call about a shooting and an ambush at the penthouse and they have a 'guest' who needs some painkillers that was out of stock at home, it took thirty minutes to get to the drug store and back to the O'Neil Penthouse but the ride up the elevator felt like it took an eternity while Y/N paced back and forth with the bags still hanging from their forearms.
The elevator's ring was almost deafening and Y/N barged through the metal door once it was open sufficiently.
A medbay isn't that far away, it has a straight hallway to be saved from trouble of getting through many doors and rooms to reach it. It wasn't long until Y/N could easily recognize the voices through the open, ring-shaped doorframe.
Even though they were ready to see who the guest is, someone Donatello described in awe briefly that Y/N's ears picked up on, they didn't expect to see this big, blue terrapin almost at the same height and size of Serling himself.
"— There's barely half-a-dozen minor differences between Leo's and that thing's DNA sequences."
Y/N almost missed what Donatello said as they kept staring at the unconscious guest on a medical bed that monitored the health, and judging by the force field around the blue terrapin it quite enough told them that they should be cautious.
"But Leo's Leo, and that's a mess." Raphael retorted soon after his brother's finished sentence, sounding grouchy.
With a deep breath, Y/N pushed themself off the frame and began to descend down the three stairs, waving at their friends. "Hey guys, I got the meds." after everyone greeted back in their own way, they went over to the turtle in purple. "So, how's he hanging?"
Donatello offered a brief polite smile their way before looking back at the red screen in front of him, resuming his attention at the medical and DNA reports with Y/N also looking at the text over his shoulder. "The Auto-docs will mend his wounds as best they can, then he'll need rest."
"What?! A fifth turtle?!" Serling's nonchalant posture broke down, his optics nearly popping out, with tiredness as he began to hold his metal head. "Oh.. I need to sit down..." as soon as he was squatted Cody tried not to snicker at the robot's silly gloominess.
Raphael had something on his mind to say about that, and was quite ready to hurl himself bodily at their injured guest. "That thing can't stay here! He just tried to off us! Again!!"
The older terrapin in blue stopped him before he could make two steps forward, hand at Raphael's plastron. "What are we going to do? Drop him off at the hospital and tell everyone to watch their fingers and toes?"
"He's in a portable force field that the Hovershell would have a tough time busting through." Donatello took Leonardo's side when trying to reason with their hotheaded brother, who means well but sometimes lacks empathy. "We can keep him here safely until he's stable enough to move."
"And after he gets betta', then what?" Raphael grunted, staring daggers at his brother's doppleganger.
Awkwardly enough, everyone fell silent and avoided eye contact after sparing a glance Raphael's way.
"... Don't everyone answer all at once." Michelangelo butted in with his comedic wit, and Raphael might have hit his little brother like he almost always does if Y/N wouldn't be there.
The turtle in red got a slap on the head back every time he did it to Michelangelo and Y/N witnessed it, over the short stay in the future Raphael learned to watch his three-fingered hands in their presence.
Y/N let out a short laugh, trying to keep the mood tense-less. "Well, you could always let the guy go? Also, I think I need explanation on how this guy came to be- like, what's his name?"
"Isn't freak good enough name fo' this thing?" Raphael scoffed snarkily and didn't notice the not-so-subtle side-eye from Y/N.
Donatello took it upon himself to properly answer so their friend wouldn't be in the dark about this whole situation. Cody was most excited to tell Y/N about the part where he was saved by the blue turtle. His childish astonishment always makes them smile, it's good to see him being a kid that he is even with all that responcibility over O'Neil Tech.
Y/N kept their eyes on the unnamed turtle, a clone, the one who with other three clones ambushed the turtles for the third time and then he risked his life for Cody in one day, in a spawn of twenty-thirty minutes. It was suspicious, to say the least, but they should show some gratefullness towards the injured guest nonetheless. That's how Y/N feels.
The more they stared at the one-eyed terrapin, he began to look less like Leonardo in their eyes. He may be a clone, with some little differency of his DNA from the blue-masked turtle, but Y/N can see that this turtle is his own person(?) and shouldn't be treated no differently. Although Y/N can understand the incredulous caution that is controlled by fear from the others, they decided to try see for themself who this blue terrapin really is.
When Cody was sent to bed by Serling, Y/N walked to Donatello who is still by the Force Shield as an excuse to have a better look at the giant turtle.
He is, for the lack of better words, not that scary-looking as the others portrayed him to be. They wonders if he's blind on the left eye, a round metal device is in it's place instead. The mini doc bots scatter around the bulk of his body, that may indeed look intimidating to some, especially given his height. Noticing that his breathing is shallow and slow, and a lot of bandages are over his body and arms, the laser he was hit with must have been quite a sucker-punch of pain. The thought alone made Y/N slightly grimace and the turtle in purple noticed, of course.
"Nasty wounds." Y/N commented with affinity and Donatello hummed as an agreement. "I guess you guys will need all help there is with this guy, I will put my hand to the work, no problem."
Donatello blinked in genuine suprise, turning to face them. "But you don't have to, you're here on vacation to enjoy Cody before going back to the Moon."
Smiling back, Y/N gives his forearm a gentle pat. "I know."
⋅•⋅⊰∙∘☽༓☾∘∙⊱⋅•⋅
Time flew by and day passed by day, until day fifth since their guest was hospitalized there arrived. When night coated upon New York, and the time approached at midnight, the blue turtle woke up with a startled gasp and immediately sat up, examining his hands.
"Hey, uh, guy?" Donatello called from the side uncertainly, waiting for him to look his way before continuing. He, his brothers and Y/N has been waiting for him to wake up for five days, many took shifts of keeping a watch over night until morning to feel more secure when having a clone of Leonardo over. They all were about to discuss who's up for a night shift until their guest finally regained consciousness, which was so sudden it slightly startled everyone.
"You've been unconscious for almost a week. How do you feel?" Donatello tried to sound genuine, even leaning in closer to the force field.
As expected, once their guest had a look around the unfamiliar enviroment and remembered the situation he's in, his perkiness turned into sour grumpiness. With crossed arms he made himself comfortable half-sitting on the bed and looking straight ahead, ignoring Donatello and his question with a light grunt.
Y/N looked over at Michelangelo that just came over with a tray that has food, medicine, and water. Leonardo at Michelangelo's left side had a remote ready.
"Here, um..." Leonardo slightly trailed off as he pressed and rotated some buttons until the tray began to levitate over to their imprisoned guest. "The force field is calibrated to accept that tray. Understand?"
"You're talking to him as if he's a pet..." Y/N sighed softly with a wry smile at the turtle in blue who only rubbed at his nape sheeplishly.
And, of course, Michelangelo couldn't help himself once more as soon as that tray entered the caged space; "Yum-yum's go innie, you, no come outy."
"Shut up!" the blue turtle growled, his raspy voice was dry and no doubt it was burning the inside of his throat. He was beyond agitated to be talked to like he's an idiot, and rightfully so. But he still caitiously leaned to the floating try, taking few, quick snifs while he scowled and glared at whatever his golden eye looked at.
"What's in it? Poison?"
"Poison? You think we'd save your life so we could feed you a ransid ham sandwich?" Leonardo almost sounded offended that his own clone would come to that conclusion when he should know him better than everyone.
"My brothers would." the blue turtle grunted and before anyone could pursue him into taking a bite he lifted his right arm, swapping the tray like a fly into the force shield that didn't let it pass through this time and everything fell to the floor. "Go stick it!"
Michelangelo covered his mouth with his hands and Y/N whinced at the sound of a broken plate.
"Oh, this is gonna be swell." Raphael rubbed at his head as he said it with utmost sarcasm.
And while Donatello tried to clean the mess with Michelangelo's help and Raphael observed like a hawk, Y/N walked to Leonardo and lightly brushed his hand to get his attention.
"I think you guys make him anxious." Y/N glanced over at the blue turtle that decided to turn his back on them all.
They looked back at the older turtle brother, who is still very much a teen kid to them.
"Let me handle it." they offered and Leonardo frowned slightly at the proposal. "I'll be careful. It's just food and medicine."
"I don't think this is- well... Safe."
With a sigh, Leonardo looked over at his unresponcive clone and at his brothers before looking back at his human friend, who has given him a little frowny expression instead of words that were not needed. He knows they'd keep asking with persuation until he'd have to give in. And he's certainly not ready to argue about anything today when he didn't get a wink of sleep from yesterday's night watch.
"Okay... Okay, go for it. But, really, be careful and don't get close." Leonardo rubbed at his tired eyes through his iconic blue mask, groaning with defeat.
Y/N beamed at him with a toothy smile and patted his shoulder. "Get some sleep, kiddo."
Nodding, the turtle in blue called his brothers and they followed after him with uncertainity but obeyed nonetheless.
Y/N was grateful for the silence after Michelangelo was pryed off of them when he tried to prolong their hug on his way out. Shaking their head and stiffling a giggle, and walking out of the Medbay to get some things.
The clone was left alone in the lighten room, the buzzing device of the force field was the only thing that broke the silence. And although he's glad to have shaken off the four turtles and the unfamiliar human, he indeed is thirsty and hungry and began to regret he didn't take that damned sandwich.
As some minutes passed, his beaten body began to ache all over that it was impossible to find the right laying position. He grunted and growled in frustration from the pain but as soon as he heard approaching footsteps he bit down on his tongue and stilled on his back. To be caught wiggling like a whiney street dog would be too embarrassing, it's bad enough he has to be locked up by his sworn enemies.
The blue turtle, however, didn't expect the human to be the one to come back, he rather expected it to be the red-haired boy.
He greeted them with a snarl, and observed them with squinted eye, when they looked at him.
Y/N expected nothing less, rather that they'd get yelled at, and although the tension began to make them more self-conscious about every movement they made because they were watched closely, they put on a brave face by smiling softly back at the terrapin.
"Sorry about those four, they can be... perky." apologetically chuckling from the sudden nervousness, Y/N re-arranged the things in their arms they got from the kitchen. They made their way to a table in medbay, that's right in front of the hospitalized terrapin where they put down the bread, butter, water bottle, a glass cup, and ham with an extra plate.
Registering that he's not answering, but still glaring while burning holes through them from all that staring, they understood that he may not be in the mood and they didn't want to push his buttons but when feeling a little awkward it's best to keep a conversation - even if one-sided - going. And Y/N is one of those who do just that instead of keeping their mouth shut.
"So— I don't know how you like your sandwich but I'll put more ham in it. Unless you do mind that, uh, hm..." their brows lightly furrowed as they mulled over something that invaded their mind in the middle of swapping some butter on the bread.
The blue turtle smelled a little fear from the human, and it was somewhat satisfying to know that, he watched now sat on the bed as they were making food that's apparently for him unless it's just a cruel taunting. But he saw nor smelled nothing fishy that could have poison.
"Say, I realized that I don't know your name, what are you called?" humming, Y/N finished the layer of butter on four bread slices and began to open the packs with ham.
Because Y/N didn't look this time they didn't notice the confused stupor the terrapin froze in.
A name? He is called many things, nasty names, but never have been given a name. Neither his brothers have names. Truthfully they never thought about getting one. They just call each other names like everyone does since their creation, they just went with that.
For once, that question made him feel... at unease.
"... I don't want to call out to you as; "hey, guy!" or "hey, man!" when speaking to you. It's just... not right. It's almost as if you're not a creature, but a thing." Y/N bit down on their lip as they perfectly placed four big slices on two breads before placing the untouched two slices at each bread, then they cut the two sandwiches in triangle shapes.
"Or if you just don't want me to know I can understand—"
"I have no name." the reply came out sharply.
Y/N was startled, still not used to the gruffness of his voice that always cut through the air with it's growling tone, that it almost made them spill the water over the glass. They were expecting to have just one-sided conversation because he looked uncomfortable with them there, this caught them off guard.
When they looked up at him, blinking, he just leaned back with crossed arms and glared down at them with disdain. "Monster or freak will suffice, or go ahead for something more creative, human."
Given the impression that he'd likey claw at them, if not worse, the idea if there wouldn't be the force field had Y/N shooketh. Oh, they had no doubt about that if he could, he would. This terrapin made it clear he's one hatefull fella and when someone feels cornered and/maybe injured they can become lethal and hostile, and sain person would rather keep their distance, this is no wild sewer kitten.
Y/N's question currently on their mind: is there a reason behind the spite? Normally, people, monsters and aliens alike have a reason caused by trauma or the way you're raised to be like this.
They did understood what their turtle friends had told them about the 'evil' clones and didn't took it lightly, but that's just one perspective to judge from, Y/N rather likes to have their own point of view on this from a first-hand experience when there's an opportunity. This blue turtle had yet to be scary to look frightening, so far he's rather intimidating and Y/N can't yet tell what exactly makes him tick so they would avoid that and avoid a tantrum — to put it lightheartedly.
With furrowed brows, they shook their head as if saying that what he said was silly and he returned that with his own frown. After Y/N filled the glass with water they put it on the tray next to the sandwich before roaming through the small packages to get his painkillers.
"Why would I do that?" they eventually asked and the turtle returned his gaze on their face, he couldn't respond because he had yet to come up with an answer. "You assumed that because I'm a human?" it may have, in honestly, made them sound a little offended.
Y/N put in some vitamin pills with the painkillers next to the glass of water before meeting his slightly distracted gaze. "Or is it because you were always treated like this and learned to accepted it?"
It was like a punch to the gut for the blue terrapin so he growled gutterly and turned his head to the side, refusing to respond and they didn't force him either.
"Sorry, sorry!" Y/N almost stuttered, they might have went too far. Perhaps it was unsensitive. "I didn't mean for it to sound so rude..... Sorry."
When it was silence that replyed to them, they picked up the tray and looked at the remote to the force field and immediately it dawned on them that they have no slightest clue about how it works. And Donatello might be asleep by now, Y/N would feel so bad and dumb to wake him up for such small inconvinience.
After spending a too much time figuring out which colorful button it is Y/N just pressed the one in the corner but instead of making the tray float and make the force field accept it instead the translucent, electric barriere dropped.
The futuristic technology isn't their strongest suit, they admitted they prefer things simple and almost retro, the only time they're hundred percent on Raphael's side is when he's on a hateful rampage about the tech...
Y/N paled when they first thought that they may have broke it and would have to wake up Donatello after all. But when the 'cage' activated once pressing the same button, weight fell from their chest and they confidently approached the blue turtle after the force field was deactivated once again.
He was a little weirded out by what they were doing the whole time that he couldn't help but stare and thought about calling them dumb.
And here they are. Face to face with no physical wall between them.
It's a little daunting that this creature is still towering over them even when hunched and sitting, and staring down at them. Y/N comes across very tall aliens every day so this is nothing unordinary. But this feels different. Somehow...
Ah, right, it's because they were told to keep their distance! But then again, they didn't actually promise Leonardo they'd do as he said but a part of Y/N still feels guilty, knowing how overprotective he can get.
Quirking their lips for the corners to lightly lift, Y/N presented him the tray proudly. As far as they know, they're an excellent cook and excells at home baking.
"Okay, Lee, you gotta get your pills first." when it was a heated growl that huffed into their face, they grounded their feet the best they can as they forced to lock gazes with him. "You'll feel better. It takes away the pain for some hours, you'll get a proper sleep. Also, no one will be in your personal bubble until you wake up." they went for the coddle tactic, it always works.
The blue terrapin, somewhat persued, took the medicine into his big right palm that has a darker pigment than the rest of his body, before registering their words.
Y/N was lifting the glass of water towards him before noticing he was looking at them with a frown that was far from sharp. "What?"
"Lee?"
With a soft flush in cheeks, they tried to fumble for sane words of an apology. They thought they offended him or something. "It just came out—!"
With a slight furrow of his bare brows and tilted head, he asked: "Why did you call me that?" it was almost chilling how calm and calculated he was now.
"I- uh! No... No reason, really... Just because." they muttered before hurriedly giving him the glass, and he understood the assignment.
After he drowned them down they put the trail on his lap and he began to gobble the bread like a starved man — which, starved, he probably was.
"Jesus, calm down! I'm not gonna steal it from ya." they couldn't help but laugh a little after the face he threw at them with a little rumbly growl, but surprisingly enough he ate slower.
After Y/N took another risk of leaving his side to drain the rest of the water bottle into the glass, they returned to exactly how they left him and he took the water greedily.
"Did you mind that?" Y/N gave him some time of quiet while he ate, but eventually asked right after swallowing the last bit of his third sandwich. "The nickname?"
"... Nickname?" he grunted with a mouthfull and watched with suprise as they sat down at the edge of the bed.
"Well, that's instead of a name..." Y/N hummed back, looking at their dangling feet and thought of how to keep a conversation going.
"I'll come up with other nicknames for you. Wanna hear them?"
The rumbly growl would have been a no but the slight nod that Y/N registered said otherwise. They took a mental note that he's one growl-y creature.
"Lee was one of those... Then I was going for Blue." when he said nothing but ate and grunted, Y/N continued. "There's also Leon... It's short for Leonid. It has a Russian origin, as far as I know." they looked back at him once noticing the way he perked up.
"But that's also a name they gave to a meteor shower, but it's called Leonids, it's around the Leo constellation. It happens around November, I think. And it's really, really pretty from the pictures and videos I have seen. But, sadly, they're also very rare."
"How rare?" the blue turtle wanted to kick himself to be this sincerely invested, and looked away from Y/N with a scoff.
He should be proud of himself to be showing interest that isn't forced, given what he has yet to do, but somehow this human had him hooked with the wonder of nature. Something you can barely spot in NYC, and especially when you live under cover you can't just go outside however you please, even though creatures and aliens are already walking among humans on earth for some years now.
Y/N watched him from his profile silently, smiling, before taking pity on him and stood up as they reached for the empty tray but they didn't register how stiff he became at their closeness. "They appear year but you need to have a good spot like somewhere far away from civilization to see it clearly in total darkness and, who knows, maybe we'll be able to see it this Autumn if we're lucky. I heard of some good spots in Europe where people go to watch the meteors nowdays."
The funny little plural pronoun they used in this sentence did such odd mess in the pit of his stomach, maybe something close to throwing up?
This unfamiliarity began to irk him.
Scoffing, and throwing the full piece of the sandwich, he nearly forgot about, into his mouth he made a lazy gutural growl. "I have no interest for such dumb things, travel especially!" he made himself comfortable on the bed and realized that no part of his broken body was aching. What a bliss.
Y/N looked at him knowingly over their shoulder, but said nothing.
When they walked back to the table to pick up the remote, they weren't feeling burning holes at the back of their skull for once, and it was nice. They turned the force field back on but when facing the blue terrapin they were met by the back of his dark shell. He fell asleep on his stomach, arms folded under his chin and softly snoring. After a good meal and comfy bed, he's out like a light. He looked almost too innocent now with how slightly curled up he is there.
"Like a baby..." Y/N chuckled to themself, turned off the lights and left the Medbay to clean the dirty dishes, they still can't let Serling do all the work around here, that poor, neat freak robot works himself up over the smallest things.

"Morning, Leon!"
The big blue turtle, who had to look through the gap of his forearms that guarded his face from the sun, threw back a frown of confusion at the human who had joined them on the rooftop balcony. It's extra hot outside today.
"Y/N-san, it's almost past noon, you slept through the whole morning." an old rat softly chided Y/N without looking over at them, instead he continued to take care of his bonsai.
"Oh, yeah, heh! It happens sometimes... Are the plants doing well mr. Splinter?" they asked politely and passed by their injured guest over to the wise mutant rodent, observing the careful snips of scissors on the little tree branches and leaves with curiosity.
Splinter offered a small, quick smile. "Yes, and the garden looks way better than when we first came here. Some of these plants grow surprisingly quickly."
Y/N hummed, agreeing and looked towards the small but greener-than-before garden. "Let me help you." they walked over to the rest of the pots with bonsai trees before the humanoid rat could protest.
With a sigh, Splinter navigated them which pot they should pick up.
"Why do I have to be here?!" the blue terrapin made himself known to them once more, after being quiet all morning he decided to voice his irritation towards the blinding sun. He growled at the rat, quite sharp teeth bared, and used his palm to cast a shadow over his face.
"The air will do you well," Splinter replied with calmness, returning to care for his bonsai. "Not to mention the healing powers of nature."
"It stinks out here! Too bright!" he continued to complain, covering himself with his arms when trying to lay down on the side but the sun rays were everywhere. "Why didn't you let me rot?" he aggressively asked, springing back to sit up and glare at the rodent. "Too weak to stomach it when things get rough?!"
It sounded like he wanted to provoke a reaction, but he tried it on the wrong creature.
"Weak?" Splinter parroted, speaking just as calmly as before, as he made a perfected snip of an unruly branch before setting the gardening scissors down. "It requires no strength at all to destroy but creation, healing, that takes true might." he looked at him over before facing him with the little bonsai in his hands. "Would you prefered that we left you to perish?"
These questions are seriously getting on his nerves, it always hits a weak spot he didn't know he had.
Turning away from Splinter, who went to place the pot where it should be, he was rather met with a sight of Y/N who carried quite a big pot with its bonsai and it looked quite heavy. Although they sweated and had quite reddened cheeks, they showed no struggle as they carried it on the table where Splinter works on his plants one by one.
Y/N straightened their favorite shirt, and cleaned it from some dust and dirt at their chest, before looking up at their hospitalized guest that kept on trying to cover from the sun. With a slight jump in the step, they walked close to him until stopped by the translucent wall of a shield.
"So, how are you enjoying today, so far?" chuckling, they looked at him rolling about like a rowdy child ever-so-innocently, hands interwined behind them.
A growl bellowed from under the cover of muscular, blue arms with a tint of annoyment as he settled laying on his belly. And they couldn't help but take pity on him.
"... You thirsty, Leonid? It is too hot today, the sun may be good for your bones but it's important you drink plenty of water. I'll go grab a glass for ya."
"Hm?" he rumbled back but when he was about to look at them from under one of his arms, they weren't there. With a grunt, he covered the back of his head and nape with his big palm. Although the sun was fine at first on his skin, because he's not used to daylight, it began to burn on his scale-y skin. The big robot Serling was supposed to get him water, but something must have distract the robot nanny when he hadn't came back for quite a while.
But at last he had time to think, plot and schieme. But the name he was called again made his heart beat all funny.
A name that would belong to him, to make him feel a little more whole. A fallen meteor out of many from around a constellation which they were tributed to be named slightly similar after. An irony of what he really is; a clone of the real deal, a fraud that has been predestined to be impure.
Leonid... He does like how it sounds, especially the shorter version of it.
He, Leonid, among many other newfound feelings he still needs to decipher, finally felt like somebody.
* 6:30 pm *
Day had yet to come to an end, be replaced by the night and Y/N didn't mind they had to prepare dinner to their guest along with some meds for the second time. It's probably for the best, Leonid can barely stand the sight of Donatello playing a doctor at him and the longer all four stick in the same room as him that he can't leave there's a risk of a raging tantrum.
Leonid can't stand Raphael and his belittling and offencive remarks, but he feels the same towards Leonardo. At last Michelangelo and Donatello can approach just fine, if Mikey wouldn't talk all the time and Don wouldn't keep muttering his coded science discussion with himself. Y/N would take full care of Leonid would they know what to do when it came to broken bones and fractured spine and shell. But beggers can't be choosers, so he had to let Donatello be in his personal bubble.
Cody was about to get some snacks that his close friend, almost like an older sibling, sneaked in behind Serling's back the day they came over at the start of their vacation — two weeks ago.
Speak of the devil...
Young Cody Jones has yet to master his ninja stealth, when taking out some dorito chips from a lower cabinet Y/N suddenly appeared few feet away by his side, that wasn't hidden by the cabinet door.
Busted, red-haired thief grinned as innocently as possible when he stood up with the bag of chips behind his back. "Y/N! Hey, I thought you're still on the balcony with master Splinter and Leo's clone?"
Y/N looked away from Cody's hidden, folded arms and opened the fridge they stood next to. "Stealing my snacks again, little Jones?" they cooed tauntingly as they pulled a pot with leftover soup out of the fridge and onto the kitchen island.
"And I just came from there, I wanted to get Leon sunscreen but Serling and guys came to take him back to the Medbay. I decided to prepare Leon dinner, at last."
Cody seated himself at the other end of the kitchen desk, opened the doritos and watched them prepare the remaining soup and adding more flavor so it would taste better and not like old shoes. "He has a name?" he asked with curiosity.
Y/N with a ladle scooped every bit of the soup, bits of mushrooms, potatoes and meat included into a smaller pot. They smiled a little bashfully to themself and were glad that Cody was rather paying attention to the chips.
"Oh, yeah. It's Leonid, actually." at last they hoped he took the name, he actually didn't tell them not to call him that and he is one of those that voices something they don't like. If he won't own the name then Y/N will call him that as long as he'll be here, they refuse to call him 'a thing that's cloned from Leonardo' like others do.
"Oh, that's cool!" Cody enthusiastically chimed before stuffing his mouth.
"Did you thank him yet?"
Cody paused mid-chow before swallowing. "No... The guys don't want me to go near him."
Y/N faced Cody with a frown right after putting the pot on the stove to warm up the soup. "I see where guys are coming from— but he took a hit for you and almost died. He may be 'evil', as everyone keeps reminding us both, but that's no excuse to be ungreatful. Everyone deserves gratitude, even some bad guys — Darius doesn't count."
Cody hummed and looked up from staring inside the chips bag for a bit too long, cracking a little smile at the last humorous remark. "Even when he and his brothers attacked us?"
"Cody, just like I taught you, you are not forgiving him. You are thanking him for his willing aid, and sure - you let him in and it would be a good enough 'thank you', but there's no wrong in being humble and thank the fella directly."
As they looked at one another, holding their gazes, Y/N knew that they managed to get at last the thought that counts into his thick skull. Cody nodded, taking it to account and received a wide smile from Y/N and they walked up to him to pat the top of his crown.
"Remember, when you feel what you should do is right then don't be afraid to do it even if everyone would disagree."
Cody chuckled and leaned into the caressing. "I would like to be free-spirited just like you... But I feel like if there won't be someone to guide me, I would do something wrong."
Y/N's heart crumbled for the kid, their family. "You have to make mistakes to learn from them, how else can you progress further in life? You can't be afraid of making them, you'd just be stuck on the spot, and not always will be someone there to pick you up." sighing, they took Cody into their arms and he welcomed the embrace quickly.
"And there is no problem that my amazing, lil' Jones can't solve on his own." they cooed gently into his red locks and Cody smiled against their shoulder.
"Thanks...." he muttered before Y/N had to return to the pot and hummed a reply back at him, Cody left with his snack all the while thinking things through. His turtle friends - family - want the best for him and protect him, but Cody needs to become independent because, as Y/N said, they won't be here forever.

* FOUR DAYS LATER, 12:03 pm *
It was quite late to be wandering about the Penthouse when everyone is asleep but Cody could hardly get a wink of peaceful slumber when he was bothered by his conscience, if he wouldn't do something about it he would end up without sleep that day.
But he took everything into consideration, to still be skeptical, while trying to the truth behind the heroic action Leonid pulled. He thought this all through for some time.
Raphael is the most cynical and Cody really wanted to dig more, not that he doesn't believe his family, and make his own opinion about their guest. Despite being told and coaxed into letting 'this thing' to be handled by his four terrapin friends.
He can't forever be told what to do! Doing this investigating made him feel a little more mature.
Y/N always taught him to be open minded and not to make hasty prejudices until knowing the whole context of a book — figuratively speaking.
The Medbay was almost empty, their injured guest seems to be fast asleep but from all that hrunting and squirming as he payed on his still healing shell Cody knew he's quite wide awake.
He knew that he shouldn't feel fear to go closer to Leon when the barrier is there to keep him in and the outside out, but he still had to muster up all courage he has to actually approach and talk.
Cody swallowed dryly and took a deep breath before he began to walk over to the force field to ask what has been bugging ever since the incident and only one creature in this Penthouse know the answer. "Why did you save me, I mean, you could have just not, you know?"
Leon, although awake, prerended he's unconscious. It was clear by the pointed silence that he intended to ignore the kid, pretend he isn't there, but he also knew the stalled chat was long overdue and he has to make some progress after being kept here for so long.
"Okay, forget it." Cody was ready to turn on his heel and return to his bedroom with defeat, and his head hung low.
"My fight isn't with you, it's with the four shellheads, then you went an' got in the way." Leon quickly blurted out before the boy could have left, but he refused to look at him as he grumbled and his hand flapped exaggeratedly high up while talking. And he didn't need to see to know that Cody didn't move an inch, neither left at all, but Leon could tell he was holding his breath to listen, and by smell he knew the kid was somewhat anxious.
Perhaps whatever Leon answers will be the key of the final decision, and if he were to answer right he could get closer to what he came for. Better play his cards right.
With a tired sigh, Leon opened his eye to stare down at his lap as his limb went limp by his side again. To be honest - which he hardly is - these questions about him are starting to be exhausting because he doesn't know the answer to them, but questioning his actions, that is easier to answer. Kind of like an answer he expected from day one and he studied the right answer. But every day it's something new, unexpected, new questions about whatever.
It just edges him more.
Being here actually made a mess of his brain, although he was prepared for whatever they got and was aware he can't crack under pressure, somehow they always poked under his shell even without intention.
"Look, I don't know, it just didn't seem right... Why I got asked so many questions!" Leon almost growled too loudly as he felt the need to be defensive and hide how confused he is himself and turned his shell at the boy to have the final say, which he achieved.
Cody, puzzled, went back to his room with a little more clearer mind and an idea.
⋅•⋅⊰∙∘☽༓☾∘∙⊱⋅•⋅
Morning couldn't come sooner, everyone except Splinter and Serling - like any other morning - gathered in the big, open living room to discuss today's agenda that also regards their absent blue terrapin guest.
"It's been weeks!" Raphael began, jumping in on the chance of free space to discuss a matter important to him after all the ordeal of training schedule and whatnot. "We better start charging Mr. Happy rent if we're runnin' a hotel here."
Not one day passed that Raphael didn't bring this up, but it seemed that today he was extra pushy.
Donatello unintentionally mimicked Raphael's crossed arms while being next to him, and he sighed softly before adding: "His bandages come off tomorrow- a few tests and then he's outta here."
"Have you guys noticed...?" before Raphael could nudge further the matter of getting rid of Leo's clone, Cody stepped in a little closer after a brief glance at Y/N that sat between Michelangelo and Leonardo on the cough as if to gather some courage spiritually. "It's like... He seems to be struggling with something."
He looked at them all, arms open to get a sign if he may speak from his mind further and Leonardo did just that and lifted his chin towards his red-haired friend, even though Raphael wasn't happy with the way Cody started but said nothing.
"What are you getting at, Cody?" Leonardo asked eventually and leaned his elbows further into his lap, showing he's all ears.
"Well he did save my life," Cody, rubbing his head, began to feel a little shy considering what he's about to say may sound naive, but he finally gets a say in this matter. "I'm just wondering if we could help him not be so bad... in theory." he humbly smiled and lowered his head, keeping his gaze locked with the leader in blue.
And Donatello wasn't really opposed to the idea, on the contrary, he's glad someone brought it up. "Technically, Dark Leo does share significant genetic traits with our Leo. And the nature versus nurture debate raises some interesting possibilities."
Cody smiled at Donatello, as if thanking him for a slight support before looking at the others again beamingly. "Yeah! What if we stopped treating him like a monster and more like a regular guy, just like Y/N?"
Raphael looked startled and looked at every person in the room, back and forth before facing Leonardo completely and crouched down to seize his pointed gaze at the floor. "Okay.. When did this bus take a left into Crazy Town!? Leo, c'mon, you're not buyin' this are ya?!"
But by the silent and distant look from Leonardo, everyone knew his mind had already decided through Raphael's protests. Hook, line, and sinker...
Y/N smiled up at Cody and he mirrored it like a silent communication between the two, they couldn't be more proud of him.
That very same morning Leonid was brought to the dining room to have breakfast with them, but he had to promise he'd cause no trouble... which he did agreed to instead of behaving - by having table manners, which soon everyone dumbly realized that he has none. At last Y/N could say they aren't so put-off by it, but they were also the only one trying to teach some manners like one would to a toddler, like any patient parent and the guys enjoyed to watch that while Cody could almost say: "I been there and had my share of it, I know the routine, enjoy it buddy", with all the fond childhood memories.
Suprisingly, today Y/N also swapped seats with Michelangelo from the usual spot of being between him and Raphael to be at the edge and conveniently right next to Leonid. If Raphael noticed this and was rather unpleased then he kept it to himself. He and Y/N weren't the best of friends, he was usually scolded by them like some brat but he really didn't dislike them either. It was a bit complicated to put into words. But usually when they all dined together Raphael found their presence next to him... comforting(?).
Leonid wolfed down his food, almost taking a bite of the plate as well as it was held to his face. Cutlery be damned. Everyone knows pancakes are good but his enthusiasm by eating them made the pancakes look double delicious, maybe the messy eating of his can put people out of mood for food which is understandable.
Serling walks over to the table, setting down another portion of pancakes and fresh, hot biscuits along with a whipped cream tube and cocoa for Y/N.
Leonardo barely could get one slice of a warm pancake before it was snatched fight in front of him, no pancake was left, and the turtle in blue could only watch Leonid by his left side as he put the whole stack into his mouth.
The blue terrapin chewed just few, hasty times before swallowing and moving forward to the maple syrup that Michelangelo was just using, the movement almost costed Y/N nose because they are sitting between the two. Leonid squeezed the 'life' out of the bottle and used up every drop of the syrup before tossing the used bottle over the table where it bounced at lead two times, nearly bumped into Cody and everyone watched it fly. The other full plate of food was next, Raphael barely touched the crusty bread when all of it was snatched from the plate.
"An' t'ere go the biscuits..." the terrapin in red mask emphasized with repressed growl, staring right at their 'guest'.
"Have one of mine," Michelangelo exhaled into his palm, passing his one biscuit onto his brother's plate. "all of a sudden food doesn't have it's usual appeal..."
Leonid couldn't not hear that last part even through all his munching, shocked and even felt close to be offended by such words. How can one say that about food?! Something he and his brothers can't afford. It's so bad that they sometimes have to go great, morbid lengths to get something into their mouths and they're just glad that digesting raw meat causes no trouble.
"Where I live, you fight for food, eat what you can, when you can—" he suddenly towered over the youngest of the four green terrapins and his olive-coloured plastron made contact with Y/N's brow before they could lean back, it didn't hurt but it startled them. "Or you starve!" he exclaimed and then threw the last little bread into his mouth as he glared at poor Michelangelo like he was a kid that didn't know any better because he has a different, better life. The terrapin in orange mask leaned back in his seat as far as he could but also was too scared to move a muscle.
Being one of those few that always came to the youngest's aid, Y/N didn't sat by doing nothing this day either. Also it would calm the other three brothers and the rat father from feeling like Michelangelo is being threatened.
Minding the bandages, their spread palm placed gently on Leonid's upper chest, close where the edge of his plastron is (it would have been inappropriate to push a man's boobs, covered or not, they are not close friends - same goes to touching one's stomach if it can be avoided). Y/N was only afraid to push, not to cause him any pain and they were glad to hear his muffled gasp was far from pained. Leonid would have obliged by sitting back down but staring Michelangelo down felt like primal challenge of intimidation that has always been in him since his creation, not really a genetic perk from being made by Sh'Okanabo.
"Riiiiight..." Michelangelo weakly chuckled when holding Leonid's gaze without knowing the intention behind it or what is he trying to prove as he grasped the courage he has regained when his savior interfered between them, and slightly swapping the crumbs from his plastron.
"Well, here, looking out for one another is pretty much what we do." he grinned toothily, it was far from mocking or belittling, he was just proud to share the way his family is and the positivity thrown in Leonid's face made him befuddled and he backed off. "You know the golden rule- karma."
Although he was thinking things through, Leonid subconsciously noticed the warmth that left his chest and he didn't have time to be weirded out by it now. Blinking, his scoff was almost as if dismissing whatever Michelangelo said was nonesence so he decided to voice that opinion: "You're the dumb one, right. 'Cuz that's the stupidest thing I ever heard." he snatched another plate of food and didn't think one would reply as he began to wolf down the eggs and beacon.
Leonardo was the one who proved him otherwise, not letting the conversation to end there, pointing at him first to grasp his attention in the middle of eating. "And yet you're here in a posh New York penthouse enjoying a hot breakfast, because of something you did—" he gave Leonid another reality check to think about, something new that Leonardo noticed his clone doesn't like. He smiled knowingly, and leaned back with crossed arm behind his head as he played more on the strings of emotions. "Saving Cody. Still sounds stupid?"
The boy lifted his head from his plate where he was cutting his food just a second ago, he looked directly at the blue terrapin with a genuine smile.
He is being thanked? By his enemies? By the nice kid whose sadistic uncle is now an owner of his and his brothers?
Leonid was cornered now by his own emotions that had instantly bloomed when Cody's kind eyes of emerald color landed on him. The food in his mouth began to taste bile, but not necesarrily because of the food itself, it even smells poison-free and he has an excelent nose at scents.
This gratefulness doesn't seem right. He shouldn't be thanked and feel this way. Everything was going according to plan, the only thing that's rauining it is him and his inner turmoil.
Is this... Is this guilt?
For a moment he wondered what he should do. What is expected from him to do.
Frankly, nothing should be expected from him, he had already done enough to save a life. Everything is fine, Leonid is aware of the situation he put himself into, but perhaps his will wasn't strong enough to jump into lion's den.
When the four brothers that are binded to him with DNA shown barely any compassion, it were these two humans that shown kindness and patience with the likes of him. It actually made Leonid believe he deserves any of this.
A hope he would be freed...
But subconsciously remembering his three brothers and the last bitter imagine of Darius Dun coiled at his heart like a barbed wire.
Finally grasping a grip over the cruel reality check after staring at the fried egg long enough, Leonid spat out the unchewed beacon back at the plate before sliding all of it over to Leonardo's plate.
"How's this?" Leonid ever-so-innocently grinned, it's not like he tried to put effort into practicing what Michelangelo tried to enlighten him about. But at last he'd get a kick of seeing his clone grossed out.
"... Thanks." although shocked and disgusted, Leonardo didn't have it in him to be anything but polite.
While everyone looked away from repulsion, Michelangelo silently made fun of his oldest brother and Leonid relieved his stomach by the loudest belch that echoed in the room after he was finished. Y/N was glad they had enough pancakes to eat before the blue terrapin was invading everyone's plates.
Leonid had made a mess all over the table and all over his mouth as well, taking out a paper napkin from the pocket, Y/N stood up to reach the big turtle and wipe his face. Y/N considered having a ladder at hand for once if they'd ever need to reach this mountain of a male again, but their laziness didn't agree with that thought - would have been easier if he laid down, no? Hah! As if this big, blue terrapin would allow himself to be this mellow for them.
Y/N, while in their own little head space, didn't even bother to took into consideration Leonid could attack them for being in his personal space, truth be told they forgot he's dangerous because these few days they felt that he was anything but threatening. He was acting 'savage' at times yet he wasn't hurting anybody, and he had opportunities to do so, something this minor was overlooked by the four brothers because they might have felt secure that the blue turtle is intimidated enough not to try anything. They also immensely ignored any disagreements the four brothers had been having against the way they didn't keep safe distance, even if there always was the translucent shield between them.
Leonid was quick to school his body into stillness, over his stay and interaction with Y/N he noticed they became more bold with subtle touches such as this. The first time was when they checked if he has fever and they were very careful about it, also asking him first before touching his forehead. This whole thing was so odd but... not unwelcome. The gestures always made him feel that damn tickling in his stomach that he soon didn't mind much. Leonid actually looked forward to being touched now, and he was content when it was something quick and sweet, nothing too lingering that would be troublesome to his sensations.
Raphael scoffed at the baby-ing that's happening right now in front of them all, he earned a soft kick from Donatello to his shin because he was mumbling things under his breath without realizing.
The plates and cups were cleaned first by Serling along with wiping the crumbs and drops on the table away, Y/N battled with the sticky syrup on Leonids cheeks and nose in the mean time while giggling at the dismorphed faces they made his face pull and although annoyed he let them enjoy it all the while grunting with low growls. Only this once he'll allow it.
When Y/N finished wiping Leonid's face, both finally but also sadly for him, Serling took him back to the Medbay where he would rest before getting checked up on again. Everyone watched from in front of the open dining room as Leonid was being escorted with handcuffs that were for safety measures. Y/N at the meeting in the morning demanded he wouldn't have them during breakfast but couldn't talk them out of it when he was being taken back even though he was inside the force field.
Leonardo, from in front of the group, faced his brothers when his clone was out of sight. "Well?"
"Too early to say." Donatello was quick to reply.
"He's a lot less... scary than I thought he'd be." Michelangelo shared his oppinion, shrugging nonchalantly.
"Guys!" Raphael barked, irritated as he stepped forward from the back. "Reality check— he's evil. Give this guy an inch, he'll take a spleen! I ain’t buyin' it!!" he yelled loud enough, making sure it echoes and is well heard to the big terrapin.
"Well, he maybe wouldn't be evil if folks would treat him like he's no different!" Y/N raised their voice enough to startle the turtle in the red mask. Huffing, and shaking their head with disappointment souring their face, Y/N turned on their heel to walk off. "We, unlike you, are just being grateful, Raph, it's not like we're giving him the penthouse."
"Oh, really?! With th'a way yer motherin' him I'd beg to differ!" for Raphael's chastising Y/N would be quick to be twice as mean but decided it's not worth it with this knuckle-head.
"Whoa, dude, chill." Michelangelo rested his three-fingered-hand on his agitated brother's shoulder. "It's not like we weren't the victims of this treatment from momma Y/N either. That's just how they are—"
"Yeah, well that thing doesn't deserve it! We let him live, that's good enough of a payback after everything he and those other freaks put us through!" tearing his shoulder from his brother's touch as if burned, he left as well, having the last word.
* LATER *
When lunch time was over that day, Cody wraped up his training fast and with Michelangelo they went to collect Y/N from the rooftop garden for the purpose to lift their spirits after this morning. They proposed a card game, the rummy, under the condition that the turtle in orange can use a calculator for the adding of numbers. But Y/N had another idea that took a little persuation on Michelangelo from both them and Cody.
"If you want to use the calculator for the game, then he can play." is what they said.
Pure, mean chantage. But Michelangelo really wanted an upper hand with the calculator if he is to play against the gambling fanatic Y/N — and Cody must have been infected from them too, because the two are eager to win and Cody isn't usually contestant. Michelangelo just tagged along because he can't stand boredom.
They went to get Leonid into their little group, behind the other terrapin brother's backs and with Serling's help to transport him to the lower floors where is a room mix of a library and gaming place, not big amd open but not small either. It used to be Cody's bedroom.
Leonid wasn't told what they're going to do other than saying they're going to the fun room and didn't want him to be all alone, as Cody said. But Michelangelo joked that he'd like to have someone close to his kin by his side when he's about to play with the beasts. But Leonid wasn't about to be forced to play with them or anything, if he wished he could just take a nap on the sofa in there, they promised him snacks and will give him different drinks Leonid hadn't tried yet. The last bit was what had him perked, he can't say no to food!
"Games?" Leonid rumbled as he sat down on the sofa with a window behind it, the only source that allowed natural light in the room. He didn't question the fact they let him out of the force field and the sarcastic robot left, but he was cuffed.
Michelangelo moved a coffee table closer to the sofa and sat cross-legged at a pillow on the rug floor, opposite Leonid. "We agreed on a card game for now, who knows, maybe we'll try other games."
"If you'd like to join the game then we'd be more than happy if you did." Cody chirped with excitement and bravely sat down next to the blue turtle.
Y/N grinned while shuffling the cards and sat on a pillow on the ground as well, on the other side of Leonid, maybe a bit too close by his feet. "You can watch or rest, Serling will bring the snacks soon."
"I'll just... watch." Leonid grunted and paid attention to the complicated shuffling of a card deck, when from the split pile of cards Michelangelo searched for a joker card but got none, Y/N began to give them each twelve cards.
Cody cringed as he was putting his cards together in hand. "No luck for me today, I guess..."
"Don't lose hope, junior. There are good cards in the pack, you just gotta get to them." Y/N hummed, although looking very pleased with their cards.
Michelangelo wasn't shy to share the information of his fortunate cards he's about to play with. "I can't relate, guys, my card deck is looking pretty good I might just close the game in your face right now."
"Which is why we're not gonna let you win." Y/N scoffed at the young turtle but it wasn't heated but playful, something Leonid had realized after Michelangelo replyed with his own playfulness.
"Hah! Bold of you guys to assume I'd let any of you win!" Cody grinned at them and leaned back to be sure none of these would peak at his cards, Michelangelo likes to cheat when it comes to these games.
"You saying that with that God-awful card deck? I'll make you eat those words up, chump." giggling impishly, Y/N watched what kind of cards the two are throwing out and Cody's would have been enough for them to get rid of some cards. "Ah, what's the count?"
"Forty-two, like always?" Cody hummed.
"Nope, let's go fifty-one this time!" Michelangelo grinned from behind his deck.
"That confident, Mikey?" the boy snorted softly.
"Awe, just let him. That way his fall will be greatly amusing." Y/N smirked getting rid of a Queen card, a high card, and Michelangelo's snarky surface cracked a little.
Leonid was greatly confused because these three were just threatening and insulting each other but differently. Very different from how he and his brothers attack each other, verbally and physically. The threatening didn't feel threatening. But why? Everyone wants to be the winner, then why not go great lengths to win? For the life of him, he can't understand them sometimes.
After five minutes, when Serling gave them the - mostly healthy - snacks and drinks, and left them be for the rest of the day only because he has chores to finish, the game went on and they all had yet to reach the right number to start getting rid of the cards. Leonid had caught up with most of how the game goes but has yet to understand the goal.
Comfortably laying on his side while munching on some chips with paprika taste, he observed as Michelangelo did a double take on the calculator, counting, but with frustration he gave up one card.
As soon as Y/N took a card from the deck, their eyes looked almost like shining stars as they meaned at their cards, Cody immediately registered the slight shift of change on their face and groaned longly: "Noooo..."
"Huh?! Huh?!! No! Don't you dare!" Michelangelo belowed and leaned to Y/N, thinking the 'intimidation' would stop them.
With a wide, toothy grin, Y/N began laying some pairs of cards. High cards and one pair with a joker, the smaller pair was of small numbers but they reached a little over fifty-one in count. And two cards were left in their hand.
"A-HA!! We're finally getting somewhere!" Y/N cheered and reordered the remaining cards in hand before getting rid of one. They basked in the small, sadistic victory of getting their opponents withered for being the first one to lay down some good sets of cards.
"Man, I guess I won't get a win this week." Cody sighed at his cards after pulling a card from the deck and dispossed of it just as quickly, but still tried to smile not to damper his friends' spirits.
"Give it time..." Y/N reached over Leon's face, almost bumping his muzzle, to pat Cody's knee to keep the boy enthusiastic.
Michelangelo, after picking the card from the dispossed deck and double checking on the calculator, began to lay down some sets of his own but still had five cards left after. "Yeah, take as much time you need, so I can win!" he used his 'evil' laugh while wiggling on his spot with excitement, fist pumping in the air.
Y/N retreated their hand, but not fully until stealing some chips from Leonid's bowl. The blue terrapin was ready to growl, to guard his food, but Y/N forced the chip against his gritted, slightly sharper teeth. Leonid, startled, relaxed his lips around the treat before accepting it into his mouth. His growl was just a rumbly hum and watched Y/N take another chip for themself, he hadn't the time to react defensively and let it slide. Cody took the chance of their guest paying attention to Y/N to steal some chips for himself too, and grabbed a handfull.
"Do you like the chips... Leon?" Cody asked before stuffing his mouth. He tried not to be too obvious with how he's getting the hang of the new way the blue terrapin is called. The boy feels ashamed that it's a bit of a struggle, being used to call him either a clone or a thing had became a terrible habbit he hopes to get rid of.
Leonid chewed slowly, trying to map and memorize the taste and texture that he now knows he isn't so fond of, before he swallowed so he could answer. "I don't mind it..."
"Dude!" Michelangelo gasped, looking up from his cards as he nearly let go of them. "The chips are, like, one of the best snacks in the world! How can you not like it?"
"It's too dry." the blue turtle shrugged and briefly wondered why the orange-masked turtle made a big deal out of it. "But has good crunch."
"You don't have to eat it if you don't like it." Y/N chuckled softly and looked up at Leonid, just now realizing how close his head is to them, the poor terrapin barely fit on the sofa and almost his whole upper body hanged over the mattress' edge, with one elbow on the floor helped him with balance.
Refuse food? Not eat when you have the chance? Not take a bite of an edible thing when having it at grasp felt like irreverence against food. Even if the edable thing would taste horrendously neither he or his brothers couldn't afford not to eat when finally getting their hands on something. And what if it's the only food he will have today? They all simply could let him starve till tomorrow and then hand him over to the Beast Keepers. It could be the his last meal. Leonid doesn't trust them enough to be certain they wouldn't let him starve, but maybe the humans wouldn't allow it...
"Serling also brought tangerines, it's a sweet fruit, try that." handing Leonid a plate of the little orange, half-moon fruit slices and handing the bowl to Michelangelo, Y/N waited for their guest to take a slice to know if it is to his liking.
Leonid sniffed the fruit slice before putting it into his mouth, as soon as his fangs popped it a sweet juice rushed all over his mouth and the tangerine wasn't that hard to chow or swallow. After the sugary breakfast he's now certain that it's sweets he's more fond of and chewy things are second favorite.
He grunted and took more tangerine slices and Y/N pleased by their fulfillment of having their guest pleased finally continued the rummy.
When Cody was hanging on a slimmer of hope was when the luck finally came to him. He got a joker and was able to finally let out some sets from his hand and reach the right count even with those 'garbage' sets. Now he's the only one with one card in hand and it gave him a higher chance at winning. The boy was exhilarated by the turn of events.
Michelangelo added a king into Cody's set but that's as far as he could go, after getting rid of a card he looked at Y/N as if expecting them to end and win the game.
It was the opposite, actually. After a lot of thinking when drawing a new card and looking over the sets of others laid on the table, Y/N kept the card and got rid of a different one. Still having two cards at hand.
The boys eyed them with suspicion when all they did was twitch a corner of their mouth into a tiny smirk, but they didn't know Y/N faked that smugness.
Leonid became intruiged by the way they're against each other during the game, the switch of theirs to disconnected from preoccupying when something outside the game has to be addressed had left him impressed. Their attitudes change from win-obsessed to normal individuals without much difficulty, with Michelangelo it's a bit questionable but he was somewhat 'tame' when they had a small pause because of the chips.
Cody took a card from the deck, by sheer luck, and got an ace of diamonds that one of Y/N's sets needed. He wasted no time adding the card with suffocated excitement and the card at hand was slapped picture-down on the disposable deck.
"YES!! I WON!!" Cody cheered, jumping up to his feet to zoom around the room while Michelangelo drowned in his lost but Y/N applaused for the boy's win.
"Ugh, let's play Racing and Betting instead, yea?" pouting, the turtle in the orange mask stood up and went to look for the board game somewhere on the shelfs next to the door, Cody went to help him with the search.
The two cards that Y/N held before adding them on the card piles to start cleaning up didn't escape Leonid's sharp eyes, he leaned closer to them before interrogating: "You gave up your win. Why?"
Y/N was a bit startled of the whispery, growl right next to their ear as they were putting the whole card deck away into its box. They blinked at him owlishly, not prepared for their guest's interest. Also, they didn't took into consideration that he might not know of these small, silly sacrifices one does for the other.
"It made Cody happy, didn't it?" they asked as if pointing out the most obvious thing, their brow arched up.
Leonid tilted his head with a sigh that blew hot breath into their face, not understanding where they're going with that. "But you aren't, 'cause you lost."
Oh... Oh, now they understand. Y/N smiled slightly. "Joy is not permanent when you do something for yourself, but for others."
"That's....." licking his lips, his gaze casted down as he tried to remember the right word to use.
"Stupid?"
"Hrmm... Weird. Yer weird."
Leonid met Y/N's gaze again when their lashes fluttered almost as if suprised. Then Y/N huffed a chuckle.
"I hear that often..." they grin toothily, around their eyes was a little wrinkle from the squinting.
Leonid thought it's a bit odd that they're amused instead of being offended and his stomach did a weird flip feeling, but it's actually nice not to deal with a miffy human.
Michelangelo slammed onto the clear table a green box with a cover of horse racers for the dramatic effect of disturbing those two, he was satisfied by seeing those two startled, before finally letting Cody to prepare the game. This play was a little longer and time-killing, Leonid ended up either napping or watching while snacking before they ended it with the last horse bought and with no hurry they all ate the dinner there. Leonid was taken to his 'bed' right after that.
Some might say that in the blue terrapin's position they wouldn't be bored and he might not argue but there were some moments that were.... nice. It was also peaceful. Falling asleep that night was without pain, no meds required, and he was content even with what will come tomorrow noon.
⋅•⋅⊰∙∘☽༓☾∘∙⊱⋅•⋅
At eight a.m. Leonid was woken up by Donatello, the purple-masked terrapin, for an early check-up and getting rid of his bandages for good after nearly a month. Leonid was still too sleepy to put up any trouble for the small turtle who was more than happy by that coincidence, they were done before Leonid could rub off the little bit of sleep left in his eye.
A light breakfast was served per Donatello's orders, Y/N put together a toast, fried eggs and a glass full of lemonade. It is light enough for the big test, right?
Michelangelo joined them with his bread and jam he stole from the kitchen while Serling was preparing the usual Tuesday breakfast for everyone. Leaning onto Y/N's side, folded, green arm at their shoulder he watched midst finishing his breakfast how his older brother played a doctor at their guest while he himself tried to eat without interruptions. Donatello only wanted to prepare Leonid for the upcoming challenge which would determine if his health got better or worse, also as any doctor would, the turtle in purple gave him further warnings of how and about what he should be careful in the future since Leonid barely made it out alive a month back.
Leonid's answers were a series of grunts, huffs, and almost unnoticable growls but Donatello became hardly bothered when such a thing was replaying every time, since day one. He accepted that this is perhaps how Leo's clone is telling him that he doesn't want him near, Donatello's presence could make him uncomfortable and the small terrapin didn't wish to push his luck of walking off bruise-less. What he did notice is that the clone was more cooperative and less aggressive when Y/N was near, which is why despite others' disagreements he kept Y/N near whenever he was caring for their guest.
"Dude, aren't you excided? You're gonna be able to kick our shells again!" Michelangelo grinned widely, mouth full and nothing but crumbs on his cheeks was left.
"Don't tempt him." Y/N tsked softly, head shaking and Donatello at his table in the corner did the same with a sigh.
Snorting uncharmingly, the terrapin in orange walked up to the small table next to the medical bed and with a graceful jump he sat atop of it. "I'm just sharing his thoughts outloud, he's very shy~"
Leonid spared him a side-eye, chowing on his egg that he put on the last toast.
"Keep it up, and you may end up on top of the hit list, Mikey." Donatello retorted his chirp from his spot. Like any other morning, he worked on his stuff with his morning coffee. Michelangelo gasped, his hand flew up to hold his heart for his brother's cruel words crushed it.
A little smile betrayed the frown Y/N tried to keep on their lips, the back of their hand hid their mouth and let out a soft giggle.
"Okay, you diva, clean up Lee's plate, it might just save your life. If only for a few minutes." Y/N smirked playfully and walked over to sit by Leonid's feet, their legs swaying back and forth over the edge. Enjoying the moment without that annoying force field that was always between them.
After more of Michelangelo's dramatic antics, he did took the plate and the empty glass and walked off to clean it in the kitchen. Donatello was deep in concentration of his work, whatever it is he's working on.
"So..." Y/N began, open palms squished in between their thighs. They waited for Leonid to get comfortable, laying on his side and facing them with a folded hand under a pillow he laid his head on. "Are you? Excited, I mean."
Leonid was silent for a minute, thinking and his gaze travelled all around their face. He grunted with a shrug of his shoulder. "I'd be an idiot to think they would let me go with a wave an' a smile... They're gonna throw me to Peacekeepers. Can't let a freak roam free out there." his answer was bitter, he looked away to get away from their saddened expression.
"I'm sure they will do the right thing. You have a family to go to." Y/N tried to coax him into a positive space.
"Family? Why would that be the reason?" Leonid looked back at them with a frown.
"Your brothers— family is important in your life, they are the number one on the list of responsibilities." they answered just as quickly. "They need you, I'm sure you need them just as much. It has been a month, I take you haven't been apart for this long? They must be worried."
Leonid bit down with his fang on his blue lip before his gaze distanced. "They don't need me." he sharply hissed.
This was quite a weak spot they decided to poke.
Y/N didn't take that for an answer. "You can't know that for sure."
"Neither do you!" Leonid growled back at them immediately, nearly sitting up. Seeing he had them startled and (surely) afraid he settled down again, refusing to speak another word and Y/N understood he closed himself off again and they felt bad for being the cause of that when they were doing so well with opening up.
Y/N opened and closed their mouth for a few times, thinking of ways how to apologize with the presence of Donatello's awareness weighting them.
"It was wrong of me to assume." they finally said with their gaze casted down. "I just remembered something similar to your case... The last time my mom was at a hospital for a long damn time, it was very serious, I was freaking out. I was studying abroad and couldn't just up and go. When I got to the hospital I was nearly walking through walls to find her... Scared some poor half to death souls too because I was fuming." they let out a weak chuckle at the recalled memory. "I may have selfishly projected my own experience onto you. I'm sorry."
When Y/N looked back at Leonid to find him giving them full attention. "... Why were you angry?" he finally asked, the silence persuade him to want to know more.
Y/N looked ahead them, staring at the wall as they thought of a right answer as their tights squeezed at their folded hands. "I was angry, sad, worried... Everyone does that when they feel helpless, that they can't help those we love even with the slightest bit of pain they're in because you want to protect them the more you care about them. And I, like so many others, took my frustration on those who were around me.. doesn't justify what I'd done and said to those people, though, it wasn't their fault."
Leonid stared at them with the slightest frown of both ambivalence but also a bit of understandment. He got what Y/N tried to explain through their story, yet he can't recall if he ever felt such anger.
Sure, he is angry almost all the time, and he witnessed his brothers getting beat many of times by many foes, but did he even once felt such anger? Perhaps, when Darius Dun was taking his anger out on them, that dark and twisted feeling inside of him might have been just that kind of rage...
A warm, small hand landed on his, barely covering all three of his knuckles. It grounded him.
Y/N scooted closer to his upper body to reach his arm and hold it. The gesture of comfort was still an oddity to him. "Leonid..."
He met their eyes and bravely held his ground not to look away, not when their tone was laced with shyness. But why the diffidence? Did they want to ask something?
"Did you..." enjoyed your stay here? And my company? I think you look happier, are you?
No, no, Y/N couldn't bring themself to ask that. Although the curiosity is eating at them and tomorrow morning Leonid will surely be released from this bed and this Penthouse, and they will never see each other again, they also feared the answer. It's a simple question of a host but her words didn't want to articulate. How embarrassing!
"D-did you enjoy your breakfast? I made it, but I still don't know your tastes so— was it okay?"
If Leonid detected that there was more than that, he chose not to point it out.
He thought it over, again aware of the taste left in his mouth. It really was delicious but maybe it would have been his yellow little brother that would absolutely love it.
"Yeah." he eventually nodded idly. "Was just fine to me. It's food, that's good enough."
Y/N exhaled a dry chuckle at that, smiling. "I asked about your preffered taste in food. So I can do your last breakfast the way you'd like."
For some reason, he did not want to hear that, something in his stomach flipped. Leonid can't wait to get his time in custody over with, but...
Enormous, blue hand gripped gently back at the small fingers in his palm almost instinctively. "... Sweeter food. I think I like that kind." his answer was reluctant with a huff.
It was enough for Y/N and they smiled beamingly, one of those smiles that had his ribcage tighten and made it harder to breathe.
It was noon when Leonardo showed up, no words were needed to let them know why he's there. Donatello, expecting him anytime soon, already put the force field up and Y/N had to sat on a chair next to it to keep talking with Leonid. Y/N stood beside the two green, terrapin brothers while Donatello programmed the field to be mobile around their guest's movements to a certain extend. Leonid stretched his muscular arms above his head, joints popped, and he was ready to go.
All four of them walked through the hallways and took an elevator to one of the lowest floors. The Holo dojo. A turtle shell-like room built for the turtles to have their battle practice in, it provides a realistic battle simulation. This is where they held their health test for the clone and everyone else waited for them there already.
The metal machine looked like it belong to a gym, it was one of those where you sat and push at the bar above to workout your back muscles and arms, but in this case Leonid will be pushing it up above his head as far as he can.
"All right, here we are." Donatello annanounced as soon as the big metal doors hissed open, allowing them to enter, they stopped not that far from the machine. "Last stop before a clean bill of health. Your wounds are almost completely healed, I just want to test a few vitals and then—"
"Out of your cage and in to the Peacekeepers'." Leonid cut in almost a little too aggressively, he glared daggers at the two small turtles in front of him.
It left Donatello a little speachless, unsure how to answer even though he was there when his brother's clone and Y/N held a discussion about it not that long ago.
"Um... Let's just get through the test." Leonardo didn't want any awkward silence to stall them, and clearly avoided answering what is quite a very important to-be-fate of their guest. He and Donatello lead Leonid a little closer to the machine and Y/N joined Cody by their right side and far from Raphael who was leaning against the wall, they still hadn't talked since that one breakfast fiasco.
Although the slightest of Y/N's departure had left Leonid at unease he didn't let it show, and it's not like they were leaving, Y/N promised to stay until the very end of this test.
Donatello stood beside the machine, a remote in hand. "Push on the bar as hard as you can, but if anything really hurts just stop."
"Yeah, then we'll draw yous a nice bubble bath and get you a massage." Raphael drew out with dry sarcasm, his hand made a squeezing gesture like that of a shoulder massage.
Although Leonid shouldn't expect anything different from the turtle in the red mask, his prodding was not what he thought he'd do. He reciprocated Raphael's mocking with a scowl over his wide shoulder.
Y/N spared the terrapin in red a frown, Cody was just unsure how to react but he too thought it was a little odd. What irked Y/N the most that even the brothers or master Splinter, although confused, hadn't said a word back. Something like "shut up, Raph" would just be enough and it's not that hard to say. But Y/N knew that if they were the one to say that then the two would end up arguing, and then would be asked to leave which is something they can't allow to happen.
"Okay, so," Donatello cleared his throat and got Leonid's attention again. "You'll sit here but I have to drop the force field, can I do that?" he asked, and deep down he knew for certain that Leo's clone wouldn't try anything.
Leonid nodded without hesitation with a soft humph, as odd as it may be an attack is not on his mind right now and if his brothers were there they might think of him as a fool.
Leonardo was already ready and on alert, hand gripping at the hilt of one of his swords at his shell.
The force field went offline and it was clear in the air that only very few were worried now that he was free and in full health.
For a second he lifted his giant arms to look at his hands. Pushing the bar is easy as cake, but he's subconsciously aware that his ribs may till hurt like hell.
Here goes nothing...
With gritted teeth and a growled grunt Leonid sat down inside the machine, gripped the metal bar above his head and began to push.
The sudden weight his lazied muscles had to lift was uncomfortable, it burned from the inside a bit as he tried to stretch straight up his arms midst pushing, and his lower ribs on the right side were aching but it wasn't painful yet.
At any other time this would have been a piece of cake, but now Leonid's breaking a little sweat. It agitated him to look so weak in front of his enemies, his clone, the boy, and Y/N...
Donatello watched the raising numbers on the remote's screen, Michelangelo sneaking up closer behind him to have a look because he was curious to a fault. The turtle in purple rubbed one of his three fingers over his chin as he calculated inside his brain, thinking the situation over.
"By this time I expect more muscle strength." Donatello looked from his screen at Leonid to observe closely. "The mass is there but we may have to hold him a few more weeks just to make sure."
"Maybe we should change his diapers too." Raphael's snide remark was so sudden and unexpected that it brought back Leonid from his thoughts, he looked over with a startling gasp at the smaller terrapin that approached and he could feel his elbows momentarily buckle. "And how about a bottle while we're at it?"
Cody immediately grasped onto Y/N's arm with a slight tug as he watched the scene unravel, a silent plea for them to do something because he didn't like where this is going, that feeling was mutual on Y/N's side too.
Raphael went past his younger brother and his twin, right over to the machine and the blue turtle that is inside it, as if suddenly charged up with the pent-up emotions he had been bottling under his shell this whole time.
As soon as Michelangelo slowly backed up to Cody it was Y/N who took his empty spot by Donatello. Ready to interfere if no one else will, it just seemed like everyone was curious where this will lead to and what is Raphael's intent.
"SHUT UP!" Leonid growled as he snapped his desperate order as soon as Raphael got too close to his liking, he had to look away and squeeze his eye shut.
This made Raphael want to poke even deeper. "I mean, how old are you anyway? Just a few weeks out of the test tube? Then we shouldn't push the widdle guy so hard!" he gesgured at the clone and looked back at others, as if wanting allies on his side.
No matter how much Leonid wanted his brain to focus on the heavy weights to lift the small terrapin's mocking voice kept drilling into his ear, the helplessness and vulnerability he was cornered into felt unfair, making the rage slowly bubble up to the surface. The machine slowly and unnoticingly at first began to creak and groan.
And to mention his creation out of everything, something he tries to forcefully forget every night when falling asleep, to forget the pain and how afraid he felt.
But here is Raphael, spitting that into his face again, he doesn't even know what he's talking about! He wasn't there! He wasn't a damn lab rat to be made into a slave, nor his brothers!
Leonid didn't ask to be made! He didn't ask to be cloned!
Y/N finally snapped, having enough of him trying to ridicule their guest, this was down right cruel. "Raphael!"
"Raph! What are you doing?!" Leonardo shook off his stunned expression, although it still held some puzzlement under that strict frown.
A guttural, almost animalistic roar along with creaking metal shocked everyone. With groans and growls that wavered because of the struggle, Leonid began to push the bar harder, higher, and past it's limit quite quickly as he tried to let out his anger that began to pressure his shoulders and squeeze at his lungs — begging for it to be let out. It blinded him and with no care that the machine began to break down in a series of creaks and cracks and whipped electricity that buzzed and nipped down the bones of his hands, he kept pushing.
Donatello didn't like the sound of the alarm on his remote and he quickly pressed few buttons, to foresee the damage and see the health results. "He's definitely feeling better...!" he sounded alarmed, anxiety crawling up at his lungs for he didn't know what to do with that giant of a turtle that ignored his surroundings and really wouldn't listen to reason but the machine is not going to hold much longer if he keeps this up.
"Hah!" Raphael shouted with triumph, pointing at the clone with accusation before turning it into a pumping fist. "I knew you were fakin'! Playing possum so you can jump as later!"
Y/N inhaled sharply, trying to get every last bit of courage in their lungs as they stalked towards Raphael, grabbed him by his muscular shoulder with no care if their nails dug into the skin or the armor and turned him around, yelling into his face. "Enough! Stop it! You're worse than—"
They couldn't even finish their sentence when with Leonid's last cry of anger the machine blew up in a thick black smoke, whipping both Y/N and Raphael away onto the ground while others ducked down to avoid such fate.
Although it knocked the air out of their lungs, Y/N was alerted enough to see a metal, ripped piece of the machine incoming at abnormal speed. They quickly pushed at Raphael's chest by repelling from their kneeling by their toes to quickly close the gap, he fell onto his shell.
A burning, sharp pain ripped across Y/N's upper back and it felt like as if their bones were tingling. In their heroic attempt, they put themselves in danger and took the hit. But it was better than Raphael being headless!
Y/N yelled with bursting tears in their eyes, body curling forward and their forehead hit harshly against the cold floor once they fell.
They couldn't notice the falling metal collum of the machine, detaching from the whole thing, right at their curled and trembling form. But Leonid did. And in just a nick of time, with something squeezing painfully at his heart and his guts in a twist but the general pain as if numbed, he jumped onto his feet and in one wide jump closer he punched the heavy metal away with his left forearm that was supported by the grip of his right hand for a better strong-arm.
The threat was effectively disposed of and Y/N was partly unharmed. Leonid couldn't understand it but such sight in front of him made him feel..... so many things he couldn't name but knew were very negative, but there was also this strange relief.
Without a thought he fell on his knee and leaned to Y/N's curled body, their soft sniffles had his heart hurting. The back of their shirt stared to get soaked with their own blood. The metal panel wasn't that sharp to leave behind a clean cut.
He wanted to put his hand on their shoulder, comfort them the same way they did once when he was in pain and the meds hadn't yet kicked off.
But his hesitancy stopped him.
Maybe he would have done bigger damage than help.
The familiar anger surged through him again and he aimed it at the turtle by his left. Leonid, wouldn't he had a second for recollection, would have tackled Raphael while he was still down on the ground but he just towered over him with a rumbling, teeth-baring growl full of hate until the force field surrounded him again and Raphael was shielded from his wrath. And Leonid was grateful, he would have thorn the small turtle to pieces.
When Leonid pushed himself to stand, glaring down at Raphael with resentment, from the corner of his peripheral he saw Y/N being treated by Donatello with Cody by their other side as they tried to kneel up. And Leonid was really... really glad that they're alive. But he wasn't done with Raphael yet, and his other two brothers by his side aren't going to stop him.
"Think you're pretty smart. Think you figured me out." Leonid spat as he leaned just an inch over the sitting turtle, his wide and pent up shoulders casting a shadow over Raphael and he was clearly uncomfortable even though he tried to hide it behind his glare. "You don't understand anything about me!"
Raphael couldn't move a muscle, his brain didn't will it as he stared up at the blue clone that just saved his friend's life without hesitation and now he felt like he must be gaslit into thinking he's the bad guy here, he didn't like it but he had no words on his dry tongue to grasp.
"But it doesn't matter," Leonid's tone was a manifestation of defeat itself, his deep and growelly voice turned ever-so-slightly softer. "I'm just a monster." looking away, with his last words he walked back to the broken machine, just enough away from them to have a room to breathe without raising a suspicion that he's trying to escape.
Leonid just can't understand what came over him. It was none of his business if their human friend would've ended up squashed but his body acted faster than he expected. He could have wrung Raphael's neck before the shield came back online, but he couldn’t make himself to do it. Why? Had the month that he spent here made him go soft? Especially towards his enemies? He has a purpose being here and it would have been "two birds by one stone" situation. Perhaps it's better he didn't took the opportunity or he would have been way far away from the goal he's nearing.
But is Y/N really okay?
Closed fist collided against the already-broken-enough machine with a repressed growl in his throat. The tense pressure didn't go away. In fact, it got worse.
"Stupid human!" Leonid growelled those words with no spite and as silently as he could.
Y/N got themself hurt and now they're paying for the foolishness. But maybe if he hadn't lost his self-control in the first place...
Thinking of them in pain, curled up and bleeding had him more on edge. And why?! He's a sadist at heart! He should be laughing at their agony! Why is it just making him angry instead?! Is it because deep down, no matter how much he tried to deny that feeling, his consciousness had him in a turmoil of guilt?
There was always someone to blame.
He is to blame.
That's how he feels and thinks it's the most logical explanation.
It's his fault that Y/N ended up wounded. That his naive foolishness of letting them close enough to have his emotions affected like this, that he cares, now he has to deal with this blame of himself.
He hates it! He doesn't want to feel this way! Life was much simpler before he came here, before he met Y/N!
It's his own fault that he got himself into this, he detests—
A sudden approaching presence had Leonid look over his shoulder, startled. The turtle from whom's DNA he was cloned from stood behind him with an unreadable expression, but his katanas weren't drawn. But the clone didn't know what to expect now, he'd quite messed up.
Leonardo, with a simple order to his clone, took him back to the medbay and fortunately Leonid didn't had to see Raphael's face on the way back since everyone left before those two did.
Donatello and Cody were in the Medbay already, backs to the entrance, but the only thing that grabbed Leonid's attention like a stop sign was a long, open gash over Y/N's shoulder blades. The terrapin in purple already had it cleaned and was beginning to stitch it up, Cody held onto a little tray with doctor's instruments and the other hand was gripped by Y/N's trembling hand.
"You coming?"
Leonardo's voice grounded Leonid once again. He didn't even notice he stood like a statue at the open door and stared a little too long at Y/N's bare back, his clone patiently waited for him.
With a gruff grunt he descended down the stairs and automatically walked over to his bed to sit down while facing the big window, keeping his gaze at his two-toed feet. Leonardo used the remote to keep the force field in place so he wouldn't be able to roam around again before he joined the three, wanting to inspect the damage himself to have some sort of piece at heart, he was worried sick.
"Will you be alright?" the older turtle brother asked as soon as he walked over the desk to be face to face with his friend, hand gently placed at their knee.
Y/N was squeezing onti their shirt they held by one hand to cover their front for decency, avoiding being naked as a wee baby, fingers ticking at every prickle of the needle. They were grateful that Donatello went slow. Looking up at the blue masked terrapin, tugging on a lopsided smile was a failed attempt to soothe his worry. "Other than sleeping on my stomach for some time, and not to mention it will be itching like hell soon enough, I'll live."
Everyone actually appreciated that silly attempt of a joke, but it didn't sweeten Leonardo's distress that much. "Y/N..."
"I'm the one getting needled through, let me ease up or it will take the whole house to restrain me." they sighed with a little distress and discomfort, wiggling on the spot for a bit.
Leonardo's grip slightly tightened before his big thumb rubbed gently over their knee. "Alright, alright. But if it gets worse we will drop you off at a hospital, whether you like it or not."
"RogeEEEE—!!?" Y/N nearly jumped from their skin as the next stab of the needle was a bit too painful for them, their grip on Cody's hand tightened roughly and Leonardo put both hands on each of their knees to hold them down. "Ow! Ow! Ow...!" their yell became a whimper.
"Almost done." Donatello muttered, concentrated on his work.
"You're doing great, Y/N!" Cody tried to encourage them, voice slightly pitched for his hand still throbbed with slight stinging pain from Y/N's hold.
Although trying to keep good on his silent promise to himself, Leonid had to look over, Y/N's distress put him on edge and he felt... helpless.
And it made him all the more angrier.
It proved all the more that he became pathetically soft for worrying so much, but because of Y/N's personal story from earlier he at last had a clue about those emotions he's feeling and, partly, why.
Leonid looked out the window stubbornly, even had to force his muscles into obedience to turn his shell on them again.
"Ahh, tell me it was the last stab?" Y/N whined.
"You're making Donnie sound like a murderer." Cody chuckled wholeheartedly, rubbing his thumb over their knuckles, and it made Leonardo break into a soft smile.
"Oh, come on you guys, I'm not that twisted." Donatello tutted playfully, grinning slightly.
"Not yet anywa-AUCH!! Damn!!" Y/N yelped, little tears stinging the corner of their eyes. Thankfully, it was the last stitch, they registered it by the snap of the thread being cut.
"Sorry," Donatello murmured softly, placing the needle and scissors back on the tray Cody held. "I will have to bandage you to make sure you won't move, rip, or irritate the stitching. I think you two should leave, I can do this by myself."
"Right." Leonardo curtly nodded and patted Y/N's crown affectionately. "Come on Cody, let's check on others."
And by others, he meant Raphael.
After they left and it was certain they wouldn't return, Donatello picked out a roll of bandages from the small kit and Y/N already waited with their shirt on their lap and lifted arms from their sides.
Donatello tried to make it quick for their sake, but wasn't any less effective with his work.
"Man, was it always this cold in here?" Y/N weakly chuckled, watching goosebumps awaken and little hairs stand on their arms.
"Hmm, there's an open window in the hallway, the cold air could be coming from there." Donatello answered casually, the cold didn't really bother him since it wasn't freezing but perhaps this was a hint that Y/N wanted to have some privacy with Leonid for the last time. He didn't question it.
When Y/N's back was bandaged and some painkillers were handed over to them, Donatello left and they put their shirt back on carefully, any straining movement pulled at the stitching and was near painful. With an inhale of bravery, Y/N walked over to their quest, facing his dark-blue shell that has four sharp spikes growing from the edge of it, two each by the sides of his head. They added a certain charm to his look, Y/N did not stare at them all the time — nope. Not at all wondering if a minimal contact with the pointed end is sharp enough to make one bleed, noooo....
"Heya, Lee, thanks for that quick save. You didn't get hurt too, did you?" Y/N interwined their fingers, hands resting against their lower navel.
Leonid debated with himself what is the better option; talk or be silent. If he were to chose latter option it wouldn't make them leave, he's sure of that. But what is he to make out of their chirpful tone? He just saw that painful wound. That flesh-thorn, raw, nasty wound that was fatefully inflicted because of his temper.
But a human can't take such an injury this well, they're too fragile... That's the impression he got since the day he held one by their throat. Y/N may yet change another one of his views on life, a different perspective he hadn't experienced in his quick-birthed life with twisted views from the very origin of Sh'Okanabo's DNA.
"Why did you take th' hit?" Leonid forced himself to ask, teeth bared and rumbly voice low.
The question got Y/N slightly confused. Didn't they just talk about it this morning? But the fact he began talking back they didn't want to stall with an answer. "Raph can be a jerk at times but he's family. I'd risk my life even if it was someone else in his place."
Something twisted and flipped his gut. He did not like that answer. Y/N is way too kind, especially to those like Raphael, and it is why they get hurt the most!
"You could've been the headless one!" finally looking over his shoulder at them, voice raised a notch as his brows pinched into a frown lines on his forehead.
Without a bat of an eye, they answered; "I know. But it didn't happen."
Leonid was on his feet within seconds, irked, wide shoulders squared up and almost hitting into the force field that is in his way, preventing him from touching Y/N — not that he was about to hurt them but automatically he wanted to put his hands on their shoulder and kneel down to stare at them eye-to-eyes.
"You're so stupid!" he growled down at them but there was no heat of resentment behind those words. It was worry.
Y/N smiled sardonically for a second. Then they nodded before meeting his gaze just as sharply, yet gently at the same time while they came up with another creative comeback. "Yeah, maybe even insane, but I would do it again... Even for you."
Taken aback, Leonid straightened with a strangled inhale, golden eye wide open as he was fighting his speachlessness. "... Tch! Oh, please...!"
Y/N jumped into his retort before he could continue. "You saved me. And I owe you one! Besides, it's the least I can do for a friend. If you'd ever need help with something, feel welcome to ask me anytime."
"No... No, I won't! Because we. will. never. meet again after this. We are not friends! Freaks and humans don't do the pitiable bonding thing." Leonid argued back stubbornly with an echoing growl, hitting lightly the side of his fist against the transparent shield not to cause an alarm and leaned against that forearm.
Y/N watched his frown twist deeper, taut mouth exposing a half of front fangs. They took a step closer to the shield instead backing away like any other logical person would. "Why do you say that—"
"Look at me! You ain't blind not to see what's wrong with all- all this!!" Leonid leashed out, the raw rumble of his growl must have vibrated through the ground because Y/N could feel it their bones. It was a very odd tingling in a sense that it didn't made them feel any close to uncomfortable, quite the opposite. But the blue terrapin, unfocused on things around him as he kept on ranting, didn't even notice the slightest change of their demeanor.
Y/N watched his big hand gestues, flapping up and down by his plastron's chest of unnatural color close to a lime's peel, it was quite a contrast against the blue of his skin, the purple armor and the small pop of red here and there but it complimented his honey-colored eye.
"The only reason I helped was 'cuz I didn't wanna take th' damn blame, those small runts would have thrown it at me, but it looks like I'm still at fault even after saving your necks!— Guess where I'll be going? To jail! For the rest of my life, like any other freak! So, yea, you are welcome, Y/N!"
It felt like he has a baggage of emotions he had no clue what to do with, they could tell that he needs to let it out. Leonid was always the one who did the listening, now it was Y/N's turn.
"I-I don't care about you one bit! Because if I would— I would be the stupid, insane fool just like ya are for wanting to befriend a monster itself!!" there was something that wavered his tone, it wasn't anger, no matter how furious he tried to look.
Y/N gave him all the room he needed, they to each and every word his heavy heart spilled. Once he caught a breather after letting out out, Leonid was suprised with himself and hopelessly stared at Y/N as if he would have the confirmation that he either went insane or them confessing to not paying attention, a part of him didn't mind if it would be the second option.
But by the look of it they hang onto every world. "Shit."
Letting the silence settle for a little longer, Y/N swept their observant gaze over his face, maybe waiting if he would wish to continue amd what is it he fears to hear.
Leonid's attention dropped onto Y/N's lips that opened ever-so-slightly and with a gentle inhale the air filled their lungs and it felt like a preparation for another word that would punch out his own breath, leave him dizzy, and his heart will yearn to understand another new thing that he'd learned.
It makes him feel like a fool.
"Well... Well, I guess, it's a good thing you're no monster. They aren't capable of feeling, or just barely have one or two emotions." Y/N susurrated, trying to put them in a more lighthearted mood while not dismissing his feelings. They lifted their right hand and placed their palm on the transparent shield.
Leonid's face softened at the slight droop of sadness in their voice but looking at the welcoming openess of their hand had his limp left arm rise and his own three-fingered was invited to be placed over Y/N's. Although the force field was cold, and had an odd buzz sensation to the touch, he could feel the heat of their human skin that spread through him. He wished he felt that warmth the first thing he was let out of the lab tube, and for the rest of his days.
"... I wasn't born, I was made. So how can ya say I'm nothing close to a freak?" Leonid exhaled a little defeatedly, his forehead made a contact against the shield, bringing him that much close to them.
Without noticing, Y/N was a step closer to the force field too, staring at their hands and the contrast of how his is thrice the size. "You are still a living being before anything else. You deserve to be treated like anyone else, same goes to your family and I feel ashamed I can't do much with how others treat you with caution..."
There was a pang at his heart because of her genuineness, exhaling though his bared fangs and half-open lips softly created a fog puffle right in front of him.
Leonid blinked to consciousness from the staring before using his forearm to rest his forehead on instead on the harsh surface.
He opened his mouth, prepared to tell them they don't have to feel that way, that it didn't matter to him, that he didn't care but it would have only been half of a truth.
Y/N beat him to ask their question that had plagued their thoughts right after that accident at the Holo Dojo. "Why do you hate yourself so much...?"
Leonid didn't know how to answer that, nor if he should answer at all. "I just do" answer doesn't feel enough of a reason now that he had it on the tip of his tongue. He has so many reasons but it's hard for him to word, he didn't know how, and if Y/N takes everything to heart wouldn't it burden them unnecessarily?
Y/N watched him close his eye tightly, a deep frown pinched between his brows, his thin blue lips pinched is and they worried Leonid is forcing himself to answer when he doesn't want to.
"Don't- don't answer if you don't wanna. No one has the answer right away either, don't worry about it." Y/N softly tried to reassure him, tilting their chin just an inch away from the cold force field but subconsciousness denyed its presence there for a second. "And you still have time to learn about yourself, don't forget that." they offered him a smile.
Leonid looked back at them, holding in breath without realizing as he let the words sink in before he slowly exhaled, tension leaving his body and suddenly he felt a little tired. Their words were somewhat comforting.
Y/N took the time to discreetly jawn into their palm. The painkillers seem to have finally kicked in.
"Go rest..." Leonid gravelly voice had a softer tone, it was pleasing to listen to.
They stared at him before eventually nodding. "Alright, but right back at ya. I will prepare you the breakfast I promised, tomorrow." Y/N's smile was big and reached their tired eyes.
Leonid let out a small, throaty chuckle at which Y/N's eyes sparkled with glee once registering that sound. His responce was a nod with a rumbly hum. Their refreshing kindness always left him wonderstruck.
Forcing themself to push away from the force field but Y/N kept on looking up at Leonid with a graceful, yet a little silly, toothy smile. It was... the most adorable look he'd ever recieved in his life.
Y/N waved one last time by the doorway and Leonid watched them disappear into the hallway, straining his ears until he couldn't hear the sound of their feet on the polished stone floor then letting out a long sigh before sitting back down on his temporary bed and looked forward for another home-made, warm breakfast.
Leonid just didn't know that fate that night had other plans for him and he'd have to leave with his brothers' help without a proper goodbye to Y/N and the food they'd work hard on to make just for him.
Perhaps in the distant future, he would be able to visit the O'niel Penthouse with his brothers as guests and not enemies but not now when he still has to deal with Darius Dun's abuse. But not for long, he had enough to be treated like trash and witness his brothers getting bruised by that disgusting human male that like a coward uses a big metal suit to dominate over them. Soon that man won't even know what hit him and then Leonid and his brothers would be free.

Lab Rat Part 1
TMNT 2003 x Reader
Opening setting inspired by the blood draining scene in the 2014 TMNT bayverse movie.
Reader has she/her pronouns.
The turtles are captured and taken to a secret laboratory to be tested on. But they are surprised by what- or who they find there. With seemingly no hope for rescue, they are forced to rely on the strength and bravery of their frail and timid new friend.
Warnings: violence, torture, abuse, mention of experimentation, blood, injury, electrocution, whump
✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
A pulsing headache, bright lights searing through his eyelids, muffled voices, and the subtle scent of ethanol. This is the uncomfortable sensation that greeted Leo as he drifted into consciousness. He blinked his eyes open to a squint, his blurry and slightly concussed vision trying to adjust to the room. In front of him, he saw a few figures moving around the wide open room of a low lit laboratory. Though it was hard to really make out the shapes past the bright spotlight shining in his eyes. He groaned and tried to move, finding his limbs restrained, arms stretched out on either side of him. Upon further inspection, he noticed a long thin plastic tube attached to his inner arm that snaked around the metal restraint on his wrist and fed down and out of sight. Squeezing his hand he tested the confines of the wrist strap.
“It’s a venipuncture IV… they’re draining our blood.”
Leo’s head snapped up to his right at the sound of his brother’s voice. His vision swayed at the fast movement and steading to find his purple clad brother restrained beside him.
“Donnie…? Where’s Raph and-“
“Hey!!! Leo’s up! How’s that concussion bro?” Mikey’s joking tone sounded further away.
Leo leaned forward as best he could and looked down past Donnie, seeing Raph and then Mikey strung up in a similar fashion as he was. Raph was still out cold with blood dripping from a wound on his temple.
Donnie followed his eyes and interrupted his thoughts.
“Raph got hit a bit harder than you did, he might still be out for a while.” He said with a sympathetic tone. “Do you remember what happened?” Donnie asked, in typical fashion checking for any brain damage.
Leo blinked for a moment, allowing for his mind to focus. “We were on patrol…”
The memory flashed before his eyes. It seemed routine, stopping a weapons deal from going down under a bridge by the Hudson. But when they had swooped down to start knocking out thugs, they had suddenly all been shocked with high voltage electricity. They were too stunned to find the source, the thugs stepping in quickly to knock them all unconscious before they could recover. The next thing he knew, he was here.
A low groan sounded from between Don and Mikey.
“Raph!” They all exclaimed, trying their best to turn their attention to their brother.
“Turn the lights off, will ya? My heads killing me…” He mumbled groggily.
Suddenly, a single loud clap sounded across the room, drawing their attention.
“Ah! I see you’ve all awoken. Well, mostly…” The dark figure snickered. His shoes clicked on the tiled floor as he walked closer and slowly emerged from the shadows.
A gangly pale man, slightly less than average height, thinning hair, and a white lab coat approached the podium. He stopped just shy of the base of the short staircase leading up to where the turtles were being held on display.
“I am Dr. Cobble. I am sure you are familiar with my close associate, Mr. Bishop?”
Leo, Mikey and Donnie all groaned.
“Him again? Doesn’t he ever give up?” Mikey bemoaned dramatically.
The doctor cleared his throat. “Yes, well, he was kind enough to supply us with this wonderful titanium steel adjustable medical grade holding platform. See how nicely they’re working? We can plug you full of needles and you can’t move an inch.” His giddy rambling shifted into an evil sneer that had Leo glaring daggers at him.
“In exchange, I am to provide Bishop with plenty of samples… of you four mutants. After all his trouble, I’m surprised by how easy it was to capture you!” He openly laughed at them as the brothers glared at him with trepidation.
“Now-“ Not allowing anyone time to respond, the doctor loudly clapped his hands again. This time the rattling of a dingy supply cart squeaked as it pulled up next to Dr. Cobble, pushed by another person in a lab coat. “Today, we are starting out with plenty of blood samples while you four get settled. In the meantime, I’ll have my assistant here patch up any open wounds. Wouldn’t want any festering to poison our precious samples after all!” He said in a sing-song voice and strolled away to another part of the room.
“….I really don’t like him.” Mikey groaned.
“Don’t worry Mikey, we’ll find a way out of here soon!” Donnie comforted him. Raph was still worryingly quiet from his head injury.
Leo had his eyes trained on the lab assistant gathering up a tray of what appeared to be bandages and antiseptic and carried it up the stairs, approaching Leo first.
Leo bared his teeth at him and glared with sharp eyes, a warning not to try anything funny.
The intern just looked at him with tired eyes and huffed, clearly unbothered as he instead passed Leo by and walked down to start with Mikey instead.
“Woah, hey- careful with that! Ow!” Mikey loudly protested. Leo and Donnie worriedly leaned forward as best they could to watch the assistant clumsily and not-so-gently rub an ointment from his coat pocket thoroughly into the large bump on Mikey’s head and slap a large square bandage over it. Luckily their brother’s injury was not severe enough to break the skin.
Mikey whined irritably as the bored lab assistant moved on to the seemingly unconscious Raph. He gathered some antiseptic on a piece of gauze and reached his hand up to wipe away the blood trailing down Raphael’s face. When suddenly, quick as lightening, Raph’s eyes flashed open and he lunged forward as far as he could, snarling and snapping at the assistant causing him to startle and stumble backwards out of range. He dropped his tray with a loud clatter and lost his balance, tumbling off the edge of the podium with a loud gasp. He hit the tiled floor with a thud followed by a long groan. Several of the other scientists in the room rushed to his side to check if he was okay.
Raph chuckled darkly. Despite the bleeding head wound he still had some bite left in him.
Leo looked over and gave his hot headed brother an amused smirk. Mikey was chuckling and Donnie sighed in relief, deflating a bit in his restraints.
“What happened??”
Dr. Cobble strut back to the front of the room, looking frustrated. Two other scientists rushed up to him and spoke to him quickly, while the group gathered at the base of the podium dispersed when two scientists carried away the injured assistant off to another room.
“I leave you idiots alone for TWO MINUTES and you’re losing control of the test subjects. It seems like you all need a little reminder as to what to do when that happens.” Dr. Cobble stepped forward and pulled what appeared to be a remote out from his pocket. He turned a dial and flipped a switch, and in seconds Leo and his brothers were alight as electricity surged through their bodies from the restraints on their wrists.
Dr. Cobble laughed shortly as he watched them struggle, before eventually flipping off the switch.
The turtles were left panting as they tried to catch their breath.
“See? Easy as pie. Any time they act up, just use a remote! That’s what we had them updated for, to include the new additions!“ He shoved the remote back into his pocket and regarded his team. “Now, who would like to volunteer to finish cleaning up these *animals*?”
No one spoke up or stepped forward. There was a hush over the room as the few left standing around shifted uncomfortably. Clearly less than enthusiastic about approaching the red one again.
“Really? No one?!” The doctor's expression pulled into a sneer as he clearly became angry.
After a brief pause, a small reached up from the back of the room.
Someone had volunteered.
Dr. Cobble's expression morphed into one of twisted amusement as he straightened.
“Ah… my dear (y/n)… Have you decided to make yourself useful today?”
There was another pause and the small frame concealed in shadows shifted uncomfortably. They weren’t wearing a lab coat, Leo observed.
The doctor appeared to grow agitated at the lack of response and curled his hand into a fist.
“Come. Here.” He jabbed at the space in front of him as he ordered.
There was a quiet gasp from the small form, followed by the padding of bare feet across the tile as they approached the doctor.
The room was still. Leo’s breath caught in his throat as the form of a frail young woman in a white papery hospital gown and a ratty gray cardigan, crossed into the light and stopped timidly in front of Dr. Cobble, her eyes downcast. She appeared to be close to Leo and his brothers in age.
“There. That wasn’t so hard, was it?” The doctor cooed in mock comfort. But it didn’t last long. He frowned at her with cold eyes and thrust a finger in the direction of the abandoned supply cart.
“Take some bandages and disinfectant up to the mutants and treat their head wounds. And be quick about it.” He followed with another loud clap that made her jolt, before she quickly nodded in confirmation and scurried over to grab what she needed from the cart. The rest of the laboratory personnel easily returned to their duties, no longer paying attention.
Leo looked over at Donnie and caught his brother watching the small figure with the same puzzled stare as he was. The purple turtle caught his eyes and they shared a questioning look before turning their attention back to the girl. She piled up a tray with gauze, bandages, and another bottle of antiseptic, before carefully ascending the stairs towards them.
She locked eyes with Leo first, and tried to offer him a small shy smile as she stopped in front of him. Her hair appeared to be unkept and overgrown, and noticed a strange metal collar fixed around her neck that caught the light as she moved. The skin peeking out underneath looked red and chapped.
“Hi…! Um… I’m (y/n)… what’s your name?” She quietly asked, her voice barely above a whisper. She wasted no time crouching down to place the tray at his feet, carefully extracting some disinfectant onto a piece of gauze as she glanced up at him intermittently to show she was listening expectantly.
“Uh…” He glanced around first to check that Dr. Cobble had left. “Leo… my name is Leo.” He offered, feeling his brow ridges crease in confusion.
The girl straightened up and faced him again, poised with the gauze in hand.
“Leo!” Her expression seemed to brighten marginally. “Can I touch you with this? I need to disinfect your cut before I put a bandage over it. I-If that’s okay.”
Leo was honestly a little taken aback by the request. “S-sure, do what you need to.”
He watched her nod at his consent before slowly reaching up in his line of sight, so he could watch what she was doing, and gently dabbing the damp gauze at the tender spot on his head. He flinched and hissed a little at the sting, making the girl pull her hand away and locking eyes with him.
“I’m sorry, I know it hurts a little. Can I keep going? I promise I’ll be careful.” Her eyes carefully searched his, her brows knit with concern and a hint of uncertainty.
Leo hesitated at such careful treatment. It almost felt like a trick. What did she have to gain from this? Who was she?
With no other current options, he sighed and pulled a half-smile. “Go ahead.”
She searched his eyes for a moment longer before returning to her task. Diligently swiping away the dried blood on his temple before stooping down and returning with a thick bandage.
“I’ll just apply this bandage and… there! We’re done. Thank you Leo.” She flashed him a small grin before pulling the tray over to work on his brother.
Leo blinked as he processed the interaction, lightly baffled. Then Donnie’s stuttering caught his attention.
“Y-y-y-yes! That would be fine, Miss (y/n). Please proceed.” He looked anxious as he watched her bend down to handle the supplies. She must be giving him the same treatment.
“Luckily, it looks like you aren’t bleeding anywhere… so I’ll just need to apply a little bit of this salve before covering your bruise with a bandage.” She held up the tin and let Donnie thoroughly look over the packaging, patiently making sure to flip it over so he could read through the ingredients and instructions. Once he seemed satisfied that the salve would be safe to use on his skin, Donnie gave (y/n) a grateful nod of approval. She then opened it in front of him and swiped out a little glob of the ointment, lifting her hand up slightly to his face after Donnie leaned down to try and smell it.
“It might hurt a little when I apply it… is that okay?”
Donnie met her eye contact and shyly smiled. “Yes, go ahead.”
And in the same manner she did with Leo, she gently dabbed on the ointment, doing her best not to prod at the swelling lump. Donnie made no noise of complaint. Then she reached down and retrieved a bandage.
“Okay, last step. Almost finished...” She looked very focused as she flattened the bandage into the right spot on his head. “All done! Thank you Donnie.” She pulled her hands away and looked at him kindly, before collecting her tray and moving over towards Raph.
This left Donnie with a similar look of bewilderment that Leo had from the exchange. He seemed a little lost in thought as his gaze drifted over to meet Leo’s, to which Leo raised an eyebrow at him, quietly asking the same question he was thinking.
“Oh no. Get that shit away from me.” Their attention was drawn over to Raph’s venom.
“I-I’m sorry! I won’t do anything you don’t want me to! I- my name is (y/n)…”
“And why should I care? I don’t want no scientist’s lackey touchin me. Now get lost.” Raph bit out angrily before settling again, his head hanging forward a bit limply as he relaxed. The girl looked downcast and seemed a bit lost, but fixed her hands together in front of her and made no move to touch her supplies or Raph.
“Don’t mind him, he’s always grouchy. Nice to meet you (y/n)! I’m Mikey.” The final brother piped up and pulled her attention. She looked over at him surprised, but quickly changed into a light smile.
“Nice to meet you too, Mikey. Is your head okay?” She asked him a little less quietly, seemingly emboldened by his outgoingness.
“Oh this? Yeah, this is nothin! You should see the other guy-“ Mikey spoke as animatedly as he could while fixed in place, his head moving around while he spoke. She giggled a little bit.
“Say, you don’t look like a scientist. Do you work here or somethin?” Leo and Donnie immediately perked up at the question, Mikey hitting the nail on the head.
“Ah- I-!” She stammered, looking nervous.
“WHAT ARE YOU DOING???” A booming voice burst through the room.
All the boy’s eyes shot up to the sound of Dr. Cobble angrily striding back over to the podium. (Y/n)s whole body was wracked with a violent tremble as she suddenly shrunk in on herself. Leo and Donnie couldn’t see her expression from their angle, but from Mikey’s eyes flashing between her and the angry doctor, his expression faded from deeply concerned to mad. Raph lifted his head up to regard the doctor with glaring annoyance.
“You should have long been finished tending to these freaks. And now I’ve caught you conversing with them?? I DID NOT GIVE YOU PERMISSION TO SPEAK!! Now…” The mad doctor’s eyes drifted over to Raph, and with wide eyes looked him over. “Oh…! Oh ho ho…!! And it appears you still haven’t finished your job!!”
He took a step closer to the stairs, his head tilted in question and his wild eyes bore into (y/n)‘s trembling form. The girl hiccuped and shuddered as she tried her hardest to muffle her erratic breathing. She did not dare move.
Dr. Cobble reached into his lab coat pocket and pulled out the remote again, not breaking his stare. (Y/n) flinched with her whole body at the appearance of the remote, but remained quiet. The boys all narrowed their eyes at the doctor in challenge, ready to feel the jolt hit.
The doctor’s face stretched into a grin, and with the remote’s setting turned up high, he flicked a switch.
But it wasn’t the same switch.
“AAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!”
To all of the turtle’s shock, the electricity didn’t hit them. (Y/n) shrieked at the top of her lungs as her whole body tensed from the powerful volt that erupted from the collar around her neck. The poor girl dropped to her knees and hugged herself tightly as she spasmed, unable to escape the waves and waves of painful electricity that wracked her body.
“Hey… HEY!!! STOP THAT!! THAT'S ENOUGH!!!” To everyone’s surprise, it was Raph who started yelling.
“QUIT IT, SHE DIDN’T DO ANYTHING WRONG!!” Mikey joined in, furious.
Dr. Cobble only laughed as he watched the show. After what felt like far too long, he toned down the dial and shut her switch off. (Y/n) fell limp into a slouch on the floor. The smell of burnt flesh and iron reaching their noses. Their only sign she was still conscious was her shuddering breaths.
“Was it not you who volunteered for this job? You disappoint me, (y/n)! I let you roam around the lab today! Gave you a responsibility! And you not only neglect your duty, but I catch you speaking behind my back!”
The doctor paced back and forth at the bases of the stairs like a predator, easily ignoring the murderous glowers from the turtles as he kept his attention trained on the young girl.
“I’ll give you another chance to prove yourself…” Dr. Cobble’s voice softens in mock empathy. “Finish up your job, quickly and silently, and your testing today will be minimal. Am I understood?” His tone was cold and final. (Y/n) nodded quietly from her spot on the floor.
“Good. Now hop to it.” And with another loud clap, (y/n) startled into action.
She grabbed the gauze and spilled some disinfectant onto it, and leapt to her feet. Dr. Cobble stayed put, his eyes boring into her back as he watched her do her job. But still she paused. She sniffed wetly, biting her lips into a line as she hesitated in front of Raph. Her hand poised and trembling in front of his face but not moving to clean his wound.
“…hey. Hey hey hey, it’s okay. You can do it, okay?? I give you my permission, or- whatever. Just do it!” Raph scrambled to encourage her, realizing that what she was waiting for was his consent. He looked her up and down with palpable concern, actually seeing her now.
She reached up, and still with trembling hands, cleaned the gash oh so gently until it was cleared of blood. Then quickly retrieved the bandage and carefully smoothed it over the tender bruised spot on his head.
When she was finished, she picked up the tray, and almost stumbling from her shaking, rushed down the stairs past the overbearing watch of the doctor. She placed the tray on the cart, and joined by two men that appeared to be armed guards, was quickly escorted out of the wide echoing laboratory down a hallway that led out of sight.
The brothers were stunned in silence as they watched her go, flinching slightly as the sound of a heavy metal door slamming shut broke the spell.
“Well! I think we all learned a very valuable lesson today.” Dr. Cobble started cheerily, seemingly relaxed from his crazed state. He turned to the four turtles, regarding them strung up and half bled dry on their steel crosses, and sneering smugly.
“Do not disappoint me.”
To be continued.

Raphael x Parker Reader- Extra (TMNT 2014/2016)
The insistent ringing of your phone makes you groan. Rolling over in your bed, you grumble, picking it up.
"(Y/N) come quick!! Something weird happened!!"
Mikey sounds scared but also excited.
You scramble out of your bed to get clothes.
"I-I'll be right there!!"
What was waiting for you at the lair?
~~~~~
"How..."
"We have no idea how it happened." Standing before you are four very human teenage boys. Donnie you can only assume is the lean tall male with a pair of spectacles on.
No shell, no scales. Mikey is shorter with dark hair. Leo you conclude is the male with the blond hair and green eyes. He's holding his swords in his hand and looking at his back in annoyance. Raph...you were drooling over Raph. The human form was a fair depiction of what you thought of him. Strong jaw, muscled stature and those intense smoldering eyes. You need a minute to gather yourself. This is all too much too fast.
"(Y/N)?"
You jump, because in your staring, you barely saw Raph move. Of course human Raph is certainly attractive but...you never realized how much you appreciated their differences before now. His gait and demeanor hasn't changed, but everything else has.
"D-Does Donnie know how to change you guys back?" you divert your gaze.
"I have no clue. These readings make no sense. The change was spontaneous, unplanned. Our DNA has literally warped itself, no trigger. "
He continues on a rant meanwhile Mikey is unbuckling his pants. He looked down in slight disappointment.
"Wow, it got smaller." you blush.
"MIKEY!!" Leo and Raph yell at him.
"What? I was just checking." He zipped up, and you kept your eyes on the wall.
"I vote we got out!"
"Absolutely not, we have no idea how this happened and when it'll wear off." Leo objected.
"Exactly, that's why we gotta use it while we can. Come on, you can't tell me you're not curious. This is the first chance we have to go out there without worrying about being mutants. " You understand Mikey's yearning.
"Please Leo." Mikey is pleading, and you feel for him.
"Leonardo." Splinter walks over, placing a hand on Leo's shoulder. He doesn't say anything, just looks at him. Leo releases a deep sigh.
"Fine, but we're still together. No running off. If you feel anything weird you tell me and we leave immediately. "
"YESS!!!"
Mikey is overjoyed, and it makes you smile.
Since the beginning, Raph hasn't taken his eyes off you. He looks down at his hands, then over to yours.
"Out in the open..together.."
Maybe this really was a blessing in disguise. Leo is searching for a strap for his blades.
You laugh.
"Leo, maybe it's better if you leave that stuff here. People aren't gonna react very well to you walking around the city with two katanas. " His shoulders slump in an adorable way.
"But my blades.."
He's actually pouting. It's so cute. Raph slaps his shoulder. "Quit being a baby, ain't like we gonna chase around criminals. " He's right, it's the first time they'll be outside just to enjoy all that New York has to offer. You're kind of excited to see how the day will turn out.
"Onward!"
Mikey cheers. Donnie is packing some of his equipment in his bag. "I'll see if I can work on this while we're at it." He states. You follow, trailing behind a little. Raph comes to your side, taking your hand and you look over. Your fingers interlock, and you grow silent. It's so weird to be holding his hand like this, but not unwanted. He doesn't look at you, just continues forward and you grin, leaning into his side.
You place a quick peck on his cheeks, and they burn red immediately. Your eyes light up. "Raph are you blushing!" He's trying to glare, but with the flush in his cheeks, it just makes him look so cute.
"I ain't." He denies. You giggle. "You so were."
He picks you up unexpectedly and you squeak. Those green eyes hold you captive. He leans in, and you close your eyes, but he stops a hairline away.
"Now who's blushing."
"No fair!" you protest.
"Could you guys stop flirting for one minute." Leo says boredly. You bury your face into Raph's chest, blushing.
"Shut up." you grumble. Leo just smiles.
~~~~~'
Mikey was literally staring in awe at every store. It was hard to keep up with him. Of course they told April about the change, she was more than happy to join. So the plan was to head to her apartment after Mikey was done gawking at every little thing. Leo and Donnie were somewhat the same.
"We've never really seen that much of the city from down here." Donnie states in awe. A girl stops in front of Donnie.
"Hi, I was just a little lost and hoping you could give me some directions." She batted her eyes a couple times and you were struggling to hold in your laugh. Donnie didn't look bothered in the least. You sort of figured he didn't realize that girl who was obviously flirting with him. So he gave clean directions, and she smiled. "Thanks handsome." She gave a quick kiss on his cheek running off. Donnie stood there in shock.
"Donnie you player!!" Mikey said, slapping his arm. Donnie cleared his throat.
Leo was smiling. "Something tells me she didn't really need directions."
You joined in their laughter, turning you fully expect Raph to be acting just as excited as his brothers, but his eyes were watching you.
"Ra-" He leans down and kisses you, and it's so sudden that you squeal. Leo and Mikey groan. "We're heading to April, you guys can kiss all you want on your own. " Raph barely acknowledges their words, and you moan when he deepens the kiss. You force yourself to pull back because you're in public and as you look over you can see a few people staring. "Raph.." you whine.
"We're going to your house. "It doesn't sound like a request. He just pulls you along, and you follow mesmerized.
~~~~
The second you step in the door you expect to see Aunt May, you're confused on why she isn't there.
"Right." She was still helping the principal.
You turn to Raph, a bit nervous.
"A-Aunt May isn't gonna be back for a while." You mumble. Raph just kisses you again. You're a bit surprised. Raph isn't usually this needy. He's a lot more attentive. You barely have a chance to gather yourself. He backs you up and you knock into the table. He pauses for a second, panting softly.
"Take me to your room." he'd been teasing about blushing earlier, but you were probably as red as a cherry right now. Taking his hand, you nod, guiding him up the stairs. He followed silently. The second you got inside you were pushed up against the wall. Not that you were really complaining. But this whole thing felt so sudden.
It's only a second before he takes you into his arms. You aren't that shocked. No matter what form he took, apparently his strength stayed the same. He lowers you onto the bed slowly, still leaving kisses along your neck. The moment you touch the mattress, it becomes real. This is Raph and you're about to... you brush your hands along his hand.
"That's right."
You lean away, and Raph stops. "What's wrong?" You slide out from under his body, inching backwards.
"I-I can't Raph."
It's clear that he never saw this happening. Raph looks down with a bitter chuckle.
"Guess no matter what I'll forever be a freak huh. Thought for sure you'd want to since I was human. " Your eyes grow wide.
"I-Is that why you were being so..forward?"
He shifts, sitting at the edge as he looks at the ground.
"It ain't your fault if you don't want to. I should have asked first. "
He really was that scared of you rejecting him as himself.
"Raph.." You feel horrible. And here you thought he was just really horny. You feel like an idiot.
"Raph it's not because of who you are that I don't want to do this. "
His head raises, and you move closer, taking his hand.
"I..I've never, you know, done this before. I-I didn't want my first time to be with this version of you. I want...the real you.."
"Wait, you're saying you want to do turtle me?"
"W-Well when you say it like that it sounds so dirty!"
For a moment he thinks he dreamed the words you just said. But the pretty flush of your cheeks and the way you're playing with your fingers to distract yourself, he can't help but feel so lucky. How did he manage to snag someone like this. He isn't quite sure.
"You really are something else."
He drops back unto the bed pulling you with him. You giggle when he hugs you, kissing every part of your face.
"Ya kinky little shit." you blush, smacking his arm.
"You're lucky I love you Raphael!"
"Don't I know it."
The Hoodie (Raphael x Reader)
Word count: 1090
Fandom: TMNT (2014/16)
Warnings : Mild cursing aND EXTREME FLUFF
Raph often wears a hoodie. It’s black, and has red print on it, advertising the popular skateboard brand, Thrasher. Seeing as he was absolutely huge in ever way, this particular hoodie was a size XXL. It fit him perfectly, and often he’d wear the hood up so that he could walk amongst the humans. Of course, it had to be at night. Humans weren’t colorblind after all, and could totally tell when there was a green face amongst them.
Raph took midnight walks at lest twice a week. He loved the smell of New York, and how all the people were just as mean as him. It was nice to be included. At the moment, the turtle was taking a midnight stroll along back alleys and watching all the humans.
He watched as a man came running out in front of him. “Hey! Give that back!” Someone yelled behind that person, screaming in anger. You were currently trying to retrieve your phone back from this total asshole who just swiped it out of your hands. “Come back here with that! That’s mine!” You screamed, eventually tackling the man and trying to pin him down. Raphael watched, waiting for something to happen so he could jump in. You looked like you had it all handled until the guy flipped you over and kicked you in the chest.
You were currently laying on your back now, gasping for breath, seeing as you’d just been pummeled in the stomach. Once you got the chance to catch your breath, you sat up and found your phone landing in your chest. You looked up, only to see a huge, dark figure in a Thrasher hoodie walking away from you. You started forward, trying to catch up with the guy.
“Hey man, thanks a lot! Nice hoodie, do you skate?” The person said, now standing next to him. Raph chuckled, looking down at them. “Yeah, a little bit.” He continued walking. “Nice! I’ve always wanted to. Anyways, thank you so much.” The person gave him a quick side hug and was off.
Later that night, Raph was laying in his bed. He couldn’t sleep, mostly because he couldn’t get them out of his head. Raph was clutching his hoodie in his big strong arms, and smushed his face into it. He could still smell your scent from the side hug. You smelled wonderful to him, and it was making his heart race. He had to speak to you again. He had to find you somehow. He was determined. That night, Raph slept with his hoodie, the sleeves wrapped around his neck and his face buried into the hood. He could smell you, and he didn’t want it to go away.
The next night, Raph slipped on the same hoodie, and went out for another stroll in the same alleyway. He was going to try and find you again. And you just so happened to be walking your dog, phone safely in your pocket. “Hey, look! Big hoodie guy again! Never caught your name by the way. I’m Y/N.” You walked up to him. “Heh, yeah. I’m Raphael.” He leaned down, giving your dog some nice pats on the head. “Me and you should totally have a skate date! You should teach me!” You happily grinned. Raph looked a little unsteady under his hood. “Uh, that’s not really gonna fly well, Shorty.” He attempted. But you had to get that date, didn’t you?
“Come onnnn! Is it because of your face? Are you self conscious?” You prodded. “I guess you could say that.” Raph replied, crossing his arms now. “You can show me, man. I’m chill!” You said, now holding your dog in your arms. “Well, I got nothin’ to lose anyways.” Raph shrugged. “But ya can’t tell anybody, okay?” He made you promise. “I got it.” You agreed, and he slowly pulled away his hood. “…..Oh.” That was the only thing that you could manage to say. He sighed. “I knew it was a lost cause.” He began to put the hood back up. “No—Its fine man. You’re cool. You got my phone back, and my dog likes you so…. You can’t be that bad?” You said, honestly shaken up. This guy was a fucking turtle. Literally. You could see the faintest smile on his scarred lips. “So… skate date?” Raph questioned. You planned a meet up, and then you parted. Not without a quick side hug, of course.
Raph fell asleep that night, once more, with his face smushed into the hoodie, smelling your sweet scent.
The next two days went by fast, and finally Saturday came around meaning your date was only a few hours away. He had the biggest smile on his face as he pulled the hoodie over himself, and then headed off, skateboard in hand. And you, wearing jeans and a (favorite color) hoodie, also with skateboard in hand. This was gonna be one amazing night.
The two of you met up at the skate park that had been closed down years ago, graffiti everywhere. Raph showed you a few tricks, and you were having a great time. “Hey, can you show me how to do a kickflip?” You asked, turning to look at Raph. “Y-Yeah, sure, Shorty.” He stuttered, and stepped forward, positioning your feet and holding your waist. “Alright, now jump, and pull this foot under, while you stomp on the end. Got it?” Raph commanded, and you nodded. And you performed your first kickflip.
Then came your time to walk home. Raph escorted you, his face getting hotter by the second as he held his arm around you fashionably. He walked you up to the doorstep, and you stood there for a good few minutes. “B-Before I let you off, I was wondering if maybe… uh… we could switch hoodies?” He questioned, fiddling with his hands. God, he was never like this! Why now?! You just giggled, “Only if I can get your number, Green.” And you two compromised.
You went to bed, cuddling his sweet scented and cologne covered Thrasher hoodie. Raph went to bed, holding your tiny little hoodie, clutching it in his big hands and treasuring your scent. And then his phone went off. You’d sent him a picture of you in his huge hoodie, the sleeves lolling over your hands, and a big smile on your face. He cherished that picture, and stared at it for a good while, just smiling like an idiot.
“What’re they doin to me? God, I love em’.”
Glowing
Tmnt x reader
Pt 1
TMNT reader insert- first of a longer story- but i think I'll write it as a master post and not a series
Basically me writing my ideal version of TMNT, just because I have no paitience, but works with any version of the turtles... except maybe 2k18....
Anyway, if you guys like it, i would love to actaully make it seem more reader focused, this first part is still pretty void of any turtle x reader lol
FEEDBACK MAKES IT MORE FUN FOR BOTH OF US
Anyway....
The Ninja turtles run into a human like mutant who is after the same kind of ooze as them, but when they keep crossing paths, they realize they have a lot more in common than that.
There was one thing that made mutants hard to identify- other than the fact they were so good at hiding. Sometimes, there were ones lucky enough to seem human at a glance.
You were one of those mutants- and right now, you had a problem. That problem was plural; other mutants- who looked much less human than you.
Turtleish actually.
You landed hard against the roof, shoes scraping against the old cement as you tucked into a roll. The glowing can of ooze was warm against your side, pinned between your torso and your arm. It made it much harder for you to run, which was probably the only reason you hadn’t outmaneuvered your pursers yet.
As you sprinted across the moonlit rooftop, you could hear the silent movements in the shadows, the deft patter of feet following after. If you had been anyone else, that probably wouldn’t have been possible. The movements of your pursuers were as quiet as you had ever encountered, and it didn’t help that you were in the middle of New York City. They seemed to know how to stay hidden- and they were gaining on you.
You chanced a brief look behind you as leaped over an air vent, head snapping back forward for your eyes to land directly on one of the mystery mutants.
Yeah- it was a turtle.
Your eyes widened at the tall, muscled figure a few yards away from you, brain quickly digesting the red mask, sai’s, and aggressive stance. He was blocking your path.
You rolled your eyes and pulled out one of your guns from your chest holster, pointing it at the dark green turtle, still running. The red-masked mutant’s eyes widened and he immediately dodged out of your way, bracing himself for gunfire. You simply kept running, leaping off the edge of the building that the turtle had been guarding. Sounds of dismay and annoyance rang out from your other pursues followed by a loud exclamation you couldn’t exactly make out.
You made it to the other side of the next roof, glaring down at the large gap between the next building and yours. The way you had taken to get here had been much easier, but now the canister of ooze you had under your arm made it harder for you to just walk through the street with the civilians. You bounced on the balls of your feet impatiently, trying to run through and pick an option as fast as you could. The only ways of getting away with the chemicals seemed to be getting down the street and hoping no one thought you were suspicious enough to call the cops or fight.
You decided to take the easier option.
You placed one foot up on the ridge of the building, but then suddenly a whistle cut through the air and you rolled backward, just barely avoiding the sturdy bostaff that slammed down where you had been standing. Pressing the ooze more closely to yourself, you watched as the taller turtle moved the staff to face you, a small smile on his face. He was clad in heavier equipment than the last- and seemed to have goggles strapped to the front of his head.
“Hi.” The purple-masked turtle offered, pointing the bo staff in your direction, staying low in a crouch.
You didn’t respond to his greeting verbally. You lunged forward and grabbed the staff, yanking hard and pulling it toward you. The turtle let out a yelp of surprise as he stumbled, and was probably just as shocked when you kicked him across the face.
Having moved him out of the way, you again went for the building’s edge, when a chain wrapped around the edge of the ooze canister, tugging you backward. You held on tightly, rolling backward into the pull and through the next pursuers legs, pulling hard. The orange-clad turtle was flipped onto his back, arm dangling on the other end of the nunchucks. He was staring up at you with big eyes, much less angry than you would’ve been. All that came out of his mouth was an excited giggle of surprise, one that you could barely hear as you ran once again for the building edge.
You jumped over the ridge and slammed down onto the fire escape, beginning to flip down through the metal bars as the three turtles began yelling at each other. You smirked slightly, knowing they couldn’t be crazy enough to follow into the view of civilians, and once you hit the open streets, you would just hitch a subway ride and be home free.
Suddenly, another turtle swung in from outside of the fire escape, kicking you against the wall. You grunted as you hit the bricks, ducking quickly as the blue-masked turtle punched where you had just been standing, surging forward and jabbing your shoulder into his plated stomach. He likewise slammed back against the staircase, looking at you in a new light. After that brief second of rest and sizing up, you lunged for the next set of stairs, which the turtle blocked with his arm, stopping you each time from passing under or over him. You weren’t going to be able to beat him with one arm. You groaned in frustration and tossed the metal canister into the air, the turtles focus immediately on the ooze, which gave you the opportunity to grab his still slightly outstretched arm and judo flip him, slamming the turtle down against the ascending staircase. The canister landed between your feet and you let out a breath, pushing the (h/c) strands of hair out your face as you picked up the container.
You scrambled down the rest of the fire escape, landing loudly on the dirty cement below. The alley tucked just a few feet away from the bustling street and you rushed toward it, hopes rising as you neared the human packed area.
Those hopes were dramatically crushed in the same way you were, slammed down into the pavement by large feet. Your skull brushed against the pavement as your arms were pinned under you, the cannister popping out of your grasp.
“No-” You grunted hazily, your vision swimming as you attempted to get up.
“Mikey!”
“What?”
“You- you can’t just jump on people like that!”
“It stopped her didn’t it?” The turtle exclaimed, a sense of indignation in his almost surfer like accent. The other voice scoffed, and you could feel three other pairs of feet hitting the pavement.
“You could have crushed her.”
“I didn’t.“ The turtle- Mikey- replied, leaning down and turning your head to the side, “I didn’t crush you did I?”
You groaned in response, one hand reaching out to your head, pulling away and looking at the dark blood that was now smearing your hand. Mikey seemed to take the response well, nodding up at the others.
“See? She’s fine!”
Mumbles of disagreement rose up from the turtles as they stared down at you, the tall purple one reaching down and picking up the ooze. Your eyes widened, cloudy brain clearing as you realized you had lost the canister. You surged upwards, Mikey yelling in surprise as you threw him off of you. But before you could reach the turtle, the red and blue turtles both had their weapons pointed at you, keeping you from the other.
“I wouldn’t do that if I were you.” The red-masked turtle growled, his voice unmistakably accented. Your eyes leveled with the two weapons, sizing up your four opponents. You might have been able to take them all on at once before your head had cracked against the pavement- but now? There wasn’t much of a chance… but you needed that ooze. It didn’t matter how little of a chance you had.
Your arms snapped up to the holsters at your ribs, fingers wrapping around the handles of your guns, which was met by a katana pressing close to your neck. You froze, glaring at the blue-eyed turtle. He stared back, knowing you had nothing else to do.
“Let go of the guns.”
“I need that canister.” You snapped back, eyes hard as you glanced between him and the ooze.
“So do we.” He replied simply, taking in your black military grade outfit.
You shifted on your feet, fighting the urge to rush forward, even with the katana in your way. They didn’t understand and you didn’t have time to deal with them. You needed those chemicals.
“Raph, take her guns.”
“No! Hey- don’t-” You let out a loud groan as the guns were wrestled from your sides, Raph smirking down at you as he tossed the weapons around in his three-fingered hands.
“Okay… Mikey do you still have those bungee cords?”
“Aw- not my bungees Leo, you know I was going to try to use those!”
“Would you rather she follow us?”
“No…” Mikey replied, grabbing your shoulder as Leo kept the sword close to your head.
Panic was beginning to build in your chest, realizing that they were going to leave you there, and you weren’t going to be able to…
Your gaze snapped up to Mikey, and you raised your hand, grabbing his arm. A loud yelp rang out from the shortest turtle and he stumbled away from you, his arm swinging uselessly at his side.
“Mikey!”
Your hand glowed softly, the mutagen in your veins pulsing. You stumbled backward, ready to run, but was stopped by the crushing grip of the red turtle.
“Let me go!”
“Not after what ya just did ta my little brother-”
“Oh, he’s fine! Just let me go!”
“Raph!” Leo hissed, rushing forward. “They’re going to hear her!”
“Well, what am I supposed ta-”
“Help! Help, I’m being k-” The tallest turtle lunged forward past Leo, his hand slapping over your mouth, muffling your screams. You wiggled in Raph’s grip, body brimming with frustration as they yelled over your sounds of the struggle.
“Donnie don’t touch her! You saw what happened to Mikey-”
“I’m touching her face! Raph is holding her off the ground- what difference does it make?”
“I don’t know! I just-”
“AH! She’s licking my hand!”
“Donnie. Donnie- don’t you dare let go. It’s just-”
“It’s wet!”
“I know! Just wait till I-”
“My hand!” Donnie exclaimed, “I can’t feel my hand!” Just as he was saying so, Donnie’s hand grew limp, just as Mikey’s arm had. You laughed in triumph, shaking your head free of his now lifeless hand.
“Woah- her tongue is glowing!”
“It’s kinda gross,” Raph said.
“You mean cool.” Mikey quipped back as you began to yell again, which was muffled by Leo placing a ripped bandage over your mouth. You screeched as Donnie duct taped the bandage to your face, struggling to do so with one working hand.
Eventually, the turtles had you duct taped and tied down to the fire escape ladder, arms behind your back as you struggled to get loose of the bungee cords.
“You don’t think she's going to break those is she?” Leo asked warily, looking at his youngest brother.
“No way! I was going to use those to bungee off the empire state building. If they could hold me, she won’t be able to break them.”
Your eyebrows furrowed at the comment, wrists working feverishly to break through the cords.
“So we’re just going to leave her?” Donnie asked, still nursing his hand.
“We have to, she’s too good to not just follow us,” Leo replied, staring down as you shook your head.
They couldn’t leave you-you needed the ooze! You screeched as they began to climb back up the fire escape, about to disappear into the night. Mikey suddenly stopped, looking down at you for a moment, his brows quirking up in sympathy. And then as fast it had come, he smiled down at you and waved. You stomped your foot as the last turtle hopped up onto the roof and out of sight. You strained against the bungee cord, waiting to see if any of the turtles would change their minds. It would’ve just been easier if one of them stopped to ask you what was wrong.
Instead, you had to follow them now. You sighed, standing up straight and pulling your wrists apart, the bungee cord stretching to a point where you slipped one wrist out, and then the other.
They really should’ve checked how stretchy the bungee cord was. Because now, you had to go and find their hideout. You needed that ooze. And you were going to get it no matter what.
Only you - Raphael x Reader [TMNT Bayverse]
@pancake-chan48 I was thinking that it could be something where the reader / s/o could be some sort of small villain but is more of a stealer, kinda like cat woman? It can be where Raph and the reader tease and taunt each other for the thrill of playing cat and mouse but let each other go every time. They could run into each other and Raph might ask her out for a date? You can change anything you want or I can come up with another request if this one isn’t your style/taste!
I hope you like it ♥
Note: All characters are adults
Thanks to my baby @zerasieghild for the beta reading ♥
A large figure was making its way among the tall buildings of New York, in the dark of the night. He had to be quick or he wouldn’t catch her. Raphael looked forward to see those (e/c) eyes which shone bright like two stars. He was alone, he didn’t need to hear his brothers’ jokes about how “(not so) lil’ Raphael fell for a thief”. He didn’t know if it was because of her tight black tights which showed all her perfect curves, or because of her sense of humor, but ever since their first meeting, when he failed to catch her, he’d always found himself thinking about her. He needed to know you better, he needed you. With those thoughts in mind, he sped up to reach the jewelry store situated downtown.
________________________________________________________________
When he finally reached the jewelry store, almost all the jewels were gone and Raphael could make out a black silhouette running away from the crime scene. Without wasting anymore time, Raphael followed it, jumping and running among the town’s buildings. Once he got close, he could finally make out your iconic (h/c) hair tied into a long ponytail. You turned your head just for a moment, noticing the red bandana on the turtle’s head, you couldn’t help the grin forming into your face, before turning abruptly to your left, hoping that the move was enough to lose him. Indeed, Raphael was too busy admiring you that, when he noticed your change of direction, he went directly against the wall. Lucky for him, his reflexes were fast enough, and Raphael was able to hold on to a billboard.Staring at your retreating form, he couldn’t hide his grin either. You’re clever, but he’s cleverer and know every little shortcut in New York, underground and surface likewise.
________________________________________________________________
You were almost there, a little more and you could finally reach your hideout. You were deep in your thoughts, thinking about how much money you’ll be making from your loot that you didn’t notice that something was about to hit you. Suddenly, you found yourself on the ground, staring up at a pair of blue eyes hidden behind a red mask. “We meet again, big boy” Smiling back at you, Raphael, who’d trapped your body between his muscular thighs and was careful not to crush you under his weight, took your well-stocked purse, tiding it on his hips. “Haven’t you learned the lesson yet?” Giving you his hand, he effortlessly brought you up on your feet. “Well, what can I say, I do enjoy being punished” You purred while swinging your hips sensually as you were walking towards him. Looking up right into his eyes, you started to massage his plastron with both of your hands. Gulping, Raphael grabbed both of your hands into his. “I was wondering if… we could make a deal”
Your raised eyebrow was a sign for him to keep going.
“This time, I’ll let you go…” “This time? You always let me go big boy” “Let me finish…I let you go, and you…you-come-on-a-date-with-me” Raphael mumbled the last part so fast that you struggled to understand what he’d asked you. You could swear there was a shade of pink on his cheeks. “Aww, you’re so cute when you’re all shy like this” “C’mon woman! Yes or no?!” “That’s the Raphael I know” You struggled to stop your giggles, teasing him was your favorite hobby. “Well big boy, are you sure you wanna go on a date with me? I mean, you don’t even know my name” “I know a lot more about you than you think, (Y/n)” Now it was Raphael’s turn to laugh at your surprised face. “I don’t know how you discovered my name, but I think that a date is a good way to discover more about you…so yeah, let’s do this” To that, Raphael brought you up and started to twirl around: you’d made him really happy. “Okay, okay big boy let me go now” you said, still smiling at him.
When you finally were on your feet again, you got up on your toes,pecking Raphael on his left cheek.
“Well big boy, since you know everything about me, I’ll wait for you to pick me up whenever you want…until then, goodnight”
With that, you disappeared through the night, leaving Raphael on his own. He was still touching his left cheek, he hadn’t expected you to accept his invitation. He didn’t care about the fact that he had to think about something to make your night together the best night of your life, something really hard for someone that couldn’t show up in public; the only thing that kept his mind busy right now was you, only you.
Skinny Dipping
Fandom: TMNT Character: Leo, others mentioned Relationship: Leo/reader Request: I really enjoy reading your stories. There so interesting and very cute, I love them! I was wondering if you could maybe do a Leonardo x reader story, from the 2003 version of the turtles or the new movies/Micheal Bay version of them and the two are already in a loving relationship, where the reader loves to swim but feels sad they can't swim as fast as the turtles can so Leo offers to teach them. And while they swim, both of them notices things they really like about the other being wet and in the water, like how the skin shines, the hair flows or how the bodies move, maybe Leo notices how the breasts move, which leads to some kissing then maybe some love making in the water. Sorry if I'm doing this wrong, I wasn't sure where to put the request. Thanks for sharing you're wonderful stories with us all and I look forward to whatever else you do next. You sat by the stream, huffing to yourself as you watched as Donnie and Raph raced once again. This was the winning race, the one to decide who would win. The guys had come out here with April and you to a little, private get away which allowed everyone a little bit of time to relax. you had failed straight away, barley able to get half way by the time Mikey had reached the finish. Through a few races, Donnie ended up against Raph. you loved to swim, but hated how slow you were compared to them. “You’re not normally this sore a loser.” Leos voice drew your attention away from the race as he sat at your side. “No, but I just wish I could do it as well as you guys could.” You shook your head, looking back to the race and seeing Raph emerge victorious as Mikey serenaded him. You couldn’t help but smile and clap. “I could teach you.” Leo suddenly said, drawing your attention back to him. “Yeah?” You smiled. After a few months together and nearly 3 years of friendship, you and Leo were very close. There was a joke that you were more like a married couple than only a few months into a relationship. “but it has to be a private lesson.” You turn to him, smiling as you thought of him in the water iwt you, by your side. Your request was quickly granted when Mikey said he was going to get pizza for the winner and Donnie and Raph followed him through the small stretch of trees to the house you were staying in. You jumped at the chance. Getting to your feet, you walked over to the stream, Leo following. Walking in till you were up to your waist, you crouched and began to swim out to the deeper area. Leo followed, but was still able to stand a little when you could reach the floor of the stream. you tread water as he said about how they had learned. You had an advantage because you didn’t have a shell or the same mass. you quickly grew tired of what he was saying. He spoke in jargon like Donnie did some time. So you lay back in the water, looking up at the sky. It was getting dark, but the sun still offered a little light. you didn’t notice Leo stop speaking as he watched you. Your body was only a little under the water, your head, arms and breast being the main things that were prominently out of the water. While the two of you had had sex plenty of times, he always admired your body. Even today when you had come in your swim suit. He wanted nothing more than to pull you to one side and kiss you. your hair fanned out around you in the water, reminding him of some kind of water maiden. Beautifully emerged in the sparking water at sun set. perhaps this lessons wasn’t such a good idea, seeing how the house and his family were less than a 3 or 4 minute walk away. But there was something about how beautiful you looked that made him want you even more. You looked over at Leo, smiling at him before moving in the water so you could swim to him. Once in front of him, you noticed how his eyes darted down to your breast which were very buoyant in your swimming costume. Smirking, you knew what he wanted and what he was thinking, but was too much of a gentleman to ask. “You know, I think my swim suit is too tight around my chest.” You smirk as his eyes snap to yours. Pulling your straps over your arms, you pulled down the costume, allowing your breasts to float a little, your nipples now hard from the cold water. Leo sucked in a breath, unable to believe you could be so bold. His eyes darted in the direction of the house but when he saw no one there, his hands reached for you. One pulled you closer to him in the water while the other ran over your breasts. To you, they looked better in the water as Leos fingers brushed over your nipple. You held back a groan as you reached out to grab on to his shoulder. Leo pressed you against his body so you didn’t have to worry so much about keeping yourself afloat but that didn’t make your situation any better. You wrapped your legs around his hips and instantly felt his hardened member press against the thin layer of your swim suite. your body pressed against his hard chest, and you couldn’t help but moan slightly. Both his hands moved to support your back as the small waves made the two of your move a little out of sync, grinding against each other. Your chest was pressed against his and you had never noticed how harsh a surface it was until your sensitive breasts were pressed against it and rubbing against him. your hands ran up his arms and shoulder, feeling how wet and smooth his skin was. The new sensations drove you insane as you looked up to Leo. He seemed to be enjoying this as much as you were. he liked the way you moved against him in the water, how your breast looked pressed against his chest and how the waves made you grind against him in a new way. Lowering himself down so he was at the same level as you in the water, his lips hovered above yours for a brief moment before kissing you. The coldness of both your lips was only counter by warm mouths. You locked your arms around him, pulling yourself up slightly as you kissed him passionately. His hands ran up your sides, brushing over your swim suit. You wanted to take this so much further, but you had to show him you wanted it as well. Reaching below the water, you pulled your swim suit down your body. Pulling your knees up so you could get it off your legs, Leos hands instantly found your sides once again, growling into the kiss at the feeling of your soft skin in the cold water. You shivered at the touch as you held your swim suit in one hand, the other wrapping back around his neck. you opened your legs to wrap back around him and he could feel your hot entrance now pressed against his cock. Leo shivered, his hips buckling against yours as your grinded against him. Before long, nether of you could bare any more. The two of you moved to the shore. You ended up just a little out the water. The waves were still able to reach up to your shoulders before retreating back down. You gasped as you spread your legs for Leo just as a wave came up and hit your most intimate area. Leo was between our legs in a heartbeat, lining himself up with your entrance. Unable to hold back any more, he pushed inside of you with ease. Both of your let out a soft groan of pleasure as the waves came back to the shore. From Leos reaction, he felt them too. He thrusted in and out of you as his lips kissed down your neck and back up, seeming to enjoy your wet skin. Your swim suit was still in your hands and you grasped it, the pleasure nearly unbearable. It wasn’t like leo to be so impulsive. Especially when it came to the two of you. Sex was sort of a planned thing. He had never really been into just grabbing you and taking you. No, it was planned, request. He sought full permission before even attempting anything. He didn’t fully understand that you didn’t need to give him verbal permission all the time, until now. He could feel how your body moved against his, how you wanted him. He would have stopped in a heartbeat if you asked, but you didn’t. “L-Leo.” You gasp, dropping your costume to the side as you wrap your arms around him. When he raised his head to look at you, you pressed your lips against his own, kissing him. you were so close, you knew it. The feeling of him moving inside you, the constant waves that moved over the two of you and the feeling of his wet skin against yours was just too much. You broke the kiss to moan as leo pulls back, raising himself on one of his arms by your head. The other snakes down your body and between your legs to your clit. He rubbed circles there was two fingers, making you moan helplessly below him. The extra friction was all you needed. Your orgasm claimed your body, making you shake slightly as you pulsed around him. Leo growled at the feeling as he came inside you. Panting, Leo was only just able to keep himself from collapsing on you. He leaned forward and started to kiss down your collar then up. “Would you like to stay here or go back into the water?” Leo asks, kissing your neck. “I don’t know if I could tread water.” You gasp a little at the waves again. “I’ll keep you safe.” Leo chuckles, pulling out of you to get to his feet. He offered you a hand and you accepted. He helped you to your feet and the two of you returned to the water. It felt nice, since you skin was now hot after the love-making. As promised, he kept his arms around you as he lazily guided you both through the water. Until you heard footsteps. You ducked so the water was right up to your chin. “Hey, foods nearly here!” Mikey shouted through the trees as he came into the opening by the stream. “okay, we’ll be there in a minute.” Leo called as Mikey nodded and left. “Maybe we should skinny dip more often.” You giggle as Leo leads you back to the shore. “Maybe even tonight?” Leo looked at you with a smirk on his lips. Looking like it was a plan.
TMNT Raph x Reader - Raph’s Karma
OKAY SO I HAD THIS IDEA its set as like a hybrid of the 2012 and the 2016 worlds where the turtles start off as relatively short as in 5'2 like in the 2012 series and then over like 8 months they have like this exponential growth period where its one mother fucker of a growth spurt and they turn into Bay turtle height and build and stuff.
WARNINGS- cursing, the limbo between platonic fluff and romance that does your head in, typos (typing it up on my phone), its pretty lengthy
“Hey, Short-Stack,” you call, eyes skimming over the figure reclining on the couch.
There’s the slightest growl in response as the terrapin turns onto his side, facing away from you. You knew he was awake, he’d been pretending to sleep for about an hour now. He’d been too still, you knew the way he slept. Raph was prone to tossing and turning unless he has something to hold, (a pillow or a blanket for example). A small smirk slides onto your face as you transfer your attention from the pinball machine to your favourite turtle.“Pickle-Bean, wanna join?”
“What the fuck is a Pickle-Bean?” Raph exclaims, rolling over to face you before throwing his hands up in frustration at your teasing. He stands up, cheeks flushed with embarrassment and rage as he walks towards you. “Seriously, do you even think before you say shit like that?”
You narrow your eyes playfully as he comes to a halt a couple feet before you. Standing to your feet, you smirk at the couple inches of height that you have over him. “First of all, watch your language. You’re not tall enough to get onto the teacup ride at an amusement park let alone be swearing like a crack-addict suffering withdrawals,” you say, raising an eyebrow towards the end of your point. “ Secondly, ‘Pickle’ is pretty self explanatory and ‘Bean’ I thought was fitting ‘cos you’re like a smol bean but one that has excessively violent tendencies.”
Raphael blinks as he slowly registers both the multiple direct and indirect insults thrown in his direction. You watch as his cheeks redden and his fingers twitch towards the sais strapped to his hips. You’d be intimidated if you didn’t think he looked like an angry Chihuahua barking at a Pit-bull. You weren’t stupid, you knew he’d knock you on your ass in a fight but you aren’t weak and you’d beaten him in an arm wrestle more than once so you like to think that counts towards something (granted, he was sick and incapable of even standing- but still).
“What do you want?” He questions, pulling his hands away from the handles of his sais. Your mouth quirks to imply that you’re impressed by his restraint.
“Considering this is my last week here before I’m shipped off in the name of education” you grimace at your own words, “I figured I should make use of my time with the friends I have here because chances are I won’t be making any over there.”
Raph’s jaw is tight as his hardened expression softens considerably. “Yeah,” he whispers. Your mouth opens and closes just as fast, unsure of how to respond to the almost vulnerable response. He blinks before clearing his throat, “I mean, yeah? Who said we were friends, you dork.”
“I took pity on your short ass, figured that a ninja your height must have some sort of a complex.” You stick your tongue out at him in which his eyes follow it’s movements subtly. A pink undertone travels beneath the skin of his cheeks as he shoves you out of the way lightly.
“I’ll still kick your ass,” Raph mutters as he pulls the lever to release the pinball. You eye him affectionately, noting how the blush still stains his face.
“Maybe...” you muse. Leaning in to whisper lowly in his ear, “that is if you can even reach it.”
8 Months Later
You slide down the grimy ladder, residual moss making a point to leave slime coating your skin. You resist the urge to gag as you wipe your palms against your jeans. You’d almost forgotten just how much you hated this part of going to the lair. The sewer lines never failed to remind you of the movie ‘It’, hence why you’ve always asked for a turtle to meet you at the entry whenever you were visiting.
Speaking of, you’re slightly disappointed that no one has come to meet you. You’d reached out earlier to Leo, informing him of your arrival and your plans to come visit them soon. You had made the mistake of assuming they’d send someone to meet you as was routine, after eight months you guess it was a little silly to have made that assumption.
A puddle behind you is disturbed, a loud and deliberate splash resounding off the walls of the tunnel. You spin around, eyes wide and heart pounding within your chest. The area facing your back is mostly shrouded in darkness, but you can see the faint outline of a large silhouette hidden neatly in the shadows. Had you not been accustomed to spotting this you would have not noticed. Unfortunately, you did.
Your breath catches in your throat, a loud gasp slipping from your lips. You stumble back immediately craving distance. “I see you,” you state shakily.
There’s a thick silence.
“I let you.” His voice is loud, raw and holds elements of instability. You blink, a shiver running down your spine. His tone was both entirely familiar and painstakingly alien to you, leaving you in a flurry of disorientation.
“Step into the light.” You say, daringly.
And so, the beast obeys. 6′8 feet of raw strength and power is unveiled by the dim lighting. Your heart leaps into your throat as he approaches you, your gaze struggling to drink in his expanse.
You catch sight of the all too familiar smirk gracing the creature’s lips. Then the eyes, while a different colour, still vibrant with a familiar soul behind them. Finally, you see the bandanna. Red.
Your jaw drops.
“What do you think, sweetheart?” The voice is playfully mocking, however the new deep quality made it so much more sensual than you remembered. He moves forward, leaning down to shorten the distance between your faces. Your eyes are wide, roaming over his features unashamedly. A large finger gently pushes your jaw closed from beneath your chin.
“You know,” he muses. His mouth is by your ear now. “I think I’m fully equipped to give you that ass-kicking now.”
Hi! I love your writing so much I’m so happy I fell on this account 💖 Your dark turtles works made me think of a scenario for the 2003: Fast Forward series? 👉👈
After Dark Leo gets wounded and is kept in the turtle’s medical bay, reader brings him food and checks up on him. He tolerates reader and even slowly gets to enjoy their company. Dark Leo feels territorial at the sight of Leonardo with reader knowing he clearly has a crush on them. He starts being jealous and feels the urge to steal Leonardo’s place to get reader’s affection and claim them.
Caught Between Light and Darkness (Angst..?/Fluff)
Dark Leo x reader x FastForward!Leonardo
A/N: Today we’re doing a crossover between the Fast Forward boys and our Dark Turtle cuties. I love it!😍🖤💙
Warnings: Jealous dark Leo, and Leonardo trying to show off😂🖤💙 Oh, and faking of pain.
So far, the plan had gone mostly as planned. Leo had gotten access to the penthouse, even if that meant he now was locked up behind a holographic field that was only lifted when Donatello or one of the other turtles had to get in close, in order to take a look at his wounds. It wasn’t hard for Leo to fake irritation, as to be honest, he found his counterparts very annoying. Always so happy and bright, with a tendency to turn on the light before he was ready for it, causing him not only frustration, but headaches and the kind of pain a kanabo clone would feel from sudden light. Absolute pains in the ass they were.
Well, most of them. There was one that Leo wouldn’t necessarily call a pain, but only a minor irritation… or maybe just a little prickle in the side. You were… not exactly like the others. You seemed to understand how lights worked with Leo, and took the time to slowly turn on the light. And you brought him food. A lot of food. Even after the first day where Leo flipped a tray and told you to leave him the hell alone, you continued to come with food, with or without the other turtles. Sometimes you would just come into the med bay and do nothing but sit and talk to him. At first Leo found it strange, and spent a long time trying to figure out what you were trying to do. But as time went on, Leo came to a realization - you were not trying on anything. You were there simply to talk to him. To keep him company and to check in on his well being. And that… had not been part of Leo’s plan.
Leo had only been in the penthouse med bay for a week, and he already found himself looking forward to the moment that you would walk through the door, with food or not. Though he never smiled your way, or gave any sign that he had come to enjoy your presence, Leo waited and looked forward to you, every single day. Sometimes he would even act like he was asleep, keeping a small eye on you as you made your way around the room.
For a time Leo forgot what he actually was there to do - to make the turtles trust him, giving him the opportunity to let the other dark turtles in, all so they could prove to Darius Don that they weren’t as thick headed as he liked to call them, and deserving of better ways of living. More food for Leo and his brothers was one of the main reasons he decided to do this, but as he laid still, watching you with half closed eyes, he momentarily forgot that goal. Instead he found himself wondering if you had always been so nice and sweet. He must have overlooked it while he and his brothers fought their counterparts. But even back then, Leo had noticed your beauty. It was hard to overlook, even when his focus had been on his non kanabo counterpart, and his annoyingly fast moves. That little blue covered grimling could make Leo’s blood boil sometimes. But he had never felt his blood boil over the same way, as it did one of the following days.
Leo sat out on the balcony in his medical bed, kept from going anywhere due to the energy shield surrounding him. Laying his side, trying to protect himself from the sun in the sky, that kept blinding his eyes and making his head hurt. Not off to a good start.
It had been Splinter and Donatello’s idea to pull Leo out in the sun, so that he could get some “fresh” air and some “healthy” sunlight, being kept company by Splinter doing gardening and Donatello practicing with his bow staff on a mat.
Splinter tried to engage the annoyed kanabo clone in some friendly conversation, but was only met by grumbles and spatting sounds from the large blue turtle. Leo had no desire to talk with anyone, while the sun was cooking him alive. What about kanabo did these people not understand?! Donatello had said something about his turtle side, but Leo couldn't care less. The sun was nothing but a burning ball of pain, and Leo wanted it gone. Fucking drown it with the water Donatello had provided him on the side table. Had it not been for that damned energy shield, Leo might just had snuffed out the life of the sun, and then thrown himself on the still overly happy and talking rat and turtle, grabbing them with his bare hands, and-.
“Do you guys have space for two more out here?”
Leo’s anger and frustration was instantly replaced by intrigue and curiosity, along with a small amount of longing, and maybe even… happiness, the moment Leo heard your sweet voice.
You stood in the glass doorway from the penthouse to the balcony, a mat rolled up under your arm, making it very clear that you had intended to train out on the sunny balcony. Your presence brought life to Leo, but before he could move in his medical bed, someone came into view behind you. The exact same someone that Leo would throw into the sun before dunking it with water - Leonardo. The sight of Leonardo with a mat under his own arm, put a big damper on Leo’s mood. Of course he was there too.
“Of course, (Y/N)”, Master Splinter said, smiling at you and his eldest son. “There’s always space for more out here”.
And so, you and Leonardo folded your mats out on the balcony and begging stretching, warming up for your training.
Staying on his side with his shell facing the sun, Leo forced himself not to look at you and Leonardo training together. But then Leo heard you laugh, finally looking at where you and Leonardo had now started going through stances. Leonardo stood behind you, positioning your body the correct way, every once in a while tilting your hips, accidentally tickling you as he did so. With every small tickle, you instinctively would move your arms around yourself, meaning that Leonardo would have to reposition your arms once again, for a moment wrapping his arms around your from behind. And that almost sent Leo spiraling. Especially when he realized how much Leonardo was enjoying it. With every laugh that escaped you, and movement of your arms, Leonardo would laugh, playfully scold you, before doing the whole deal all over again, at one moment even hugging you from behind, while the two of you almost fell over laughing. It was a blood boiling sight that hit Leo with a sudden realization. If Leo had started growing fond of you, then was it possible that his DNA source also had? It hit Leo harder than a brick wall, and caused a headache stronger than the sunlight ever could. Just like Leo, Leonardo had developed a crush on you. A big crush, only rivaled by Leo’s.
Leo watched you and Leonardo, feeling his body tense up and his breath growing shallow. He clenched his fist and grinded his teeth as you and Leonardo started sparring. Seeing you listening to Leonardo’s every word, your attention fully on him, as you did your best to improve your punches and ducks, your smile and eyes sparkling whenever he praised your doings. But when Leonardo suddenly grabbed your arm, followed by a series of movements that had you pinned on the ground underneath him, with Leonardo smiling proudly above you, Leo couldn’t take it anymore. He couldn’t just watch his sun loving counterpart attempt to take over your heart. No, Leo had to do something about it.
And so, Leo threw himself on the ground next to the medical bed, making sure to land on his injured arm, and let out a loud cry of pain. You reacted instantly, pushing Leonardo off of you, and screaming at Donatello, telling him to turn off the energy shield. Donatello scrabbled in haste with the buttons on his forearm, before the shield was turned off, allowing you to hurry to the side of Leo.
You made your way up to Leo’s head stretching out your leg, before rolling him onto his back, allowing his head to rest on your thigh, while you began undoing the wrappings around his shoulder, in order to take a better look at his injured arm, all while Donatello quickly made his way over to help.
With his head resting on your thigh, Leo could look directly up at you, quickly catching your eye as Donatello started to move and bend his arm. Leo faked an expression of pain, causing you to hold onto his head, softly rubbing your thumbs against his temples in soothing motions. Leo had to swallow his deep churr before it could boom through his chest, and break the scene he had put on. Yet the small sound he accidentally made caused you to grow even more worried, focusing all your attention on trying to calm him down while Donatello continued to check his arm and shoulder.
“You’re okay, Leo”, you spoke softly, your words like butter to his ears, while your fingers continued to make soft shapes on his face. “You’re doing great. Just relax, and it will be over before you know it”.
“Thank you, (Y/N)”, Leo said, straining his voice to make it sound like he was in pain, throwing a quick look towards Leonardo, who stood with Master Splinter. While Splinter looked on in concern, Leonardo stood with his arms crossed, a showling look on display. Leo had to bite his tongue in order not to smile. Of course Leonardo knew what Leo was doing, his was his clone for fuck sake. He could easily tell when Leo was faking pain. But was he going to say that out loud, and risk your anger? Hell no. Instead he would just stare disapprovingly at Leo, letting him know that he had caught on to his little act. And so Leo looked back up at you, finding your concerned eyes, while enjoying your warm hands against his face. “It’ll get better now that you’re here”.
I absolutely love that you write for the dark turtles! I rarely see anything for them and there’s so much potential for stories with them, other writers are missing out!
Anyway I’m rambling. I’m not a writer but have had this story idea for the dark turtles. Being clones of the turtles and a mix of their dna I’ve always personally headcanoned that the dark turtles possess deeper connections to their turtle counterparts. Ex: quirks, mannerisms, interests, skills, and even memories. With that in mind here’s the story base.
Darius creates a dark clone of reader in hope that he can use them to infiltrate the turtles group and generate mistrust after seeing his dark turtle clones fail with their head on battles (I guess readers dark clone would be more spy like? More shapeshifter like?). What Darius doesn’t anticipate is that the dna connection between the dark clones and the turtles also somehow share their interests/ mannerisms/ and memories. Since regular reader and turtle counterpart are in love, Darius now has two of his clones falling in love with no understanding why or what new emotions and foreign memories they’re both experiencing
I guess this could be angsty or fluffy depending on how you look at it. I personally like a blend of both but just have fun! This was just something I thought I’d send your way, hope it sparks some inspiration for more dark turtle fics! Love your writing!
In Light And Darkness (Angst/Fluff)
Dark Leonardo x reader
A/N: I agree! There’s so much potential with these boys, especially when they never finished their story💚 I also agree with your headcanon. I think that they have the same characteristics as the original turtles, just with a darker twist, like how Dark Mikey isn’t just happy, but manic. But with that being said, I’ve decided to make it with Dark Leo, with focus on Dark Leo and the dark reader’s bond, and how Darius might be very oppressive to that. Hope you enjoy💙
------------
Warnings: Punishments (withholding food, isolation, forced to sleep in cold rooms, fear of further punishment).
------------
Darius was furious, his anger raining down on the four Kanabo clones in front of him. Once again they had failed him. Dark Leo’s plan to infiltrate Cody’s penthouse from the inside had failed, with Leonardo sensing his plans from the very start. It had ended in a surmise, sending the clones home empty handed, with no progress made. They were now even further back than square one, and Darius blamed them for it. Especially Leo.
Their punishment had been severe, with Darius withholding food from them. He did not care that Dark Leo had started sharing the small lumps of meat with his brothers, instead of fighting over it. If that was what they wanted to do, then that was their problem. But there was something Darius noticed about Dark Leo that caught his interest. Under Leo’s fingernails was something that looked like hair. And not just any hair, but your hair. The color and length matched. It had gotten there after Dark Leo accidentally pulled your hair during the squirmish, pulling you out of one of the other clone’s wild attacks, aimed at their own counterparts. But this action had caused his original counterpart to momentarily pull back on his peaceful and friendly demeanor towards the dark clone. But this hair gave Darius an idea. An idea he was sure would work out in his favor.
The clones were pushed out of the room while Darius contacted Sh’Okanabo, in order to show him the hair and tell him about his idea. Sh’Okanabo was intrigued, finding the idea interesting enough to give it a try. Especially with this dreaded planet, that refused to buckle under for his mighty rule. The Dread Lord had done many things throughout his dark life. He had taken over planets, leaving them in constant darkness. He had torn down civilizations, watching them crumble to the ground as their people turned into his own kind. But he had never made a Kanabo clone of a human. Sure, he had turned humans into Kanabos, but never had he created a lab made clone. And so, he agreed to Darius’ plan, bringing the hair to his lab.
It didn’t take long before Sh’Okanabo returned to Darius with a satisfied smile. It worked. He had created a human kanabo clone, with more of his own abilities than any of his turtle clones had gotten. He presented them with your dark clone, who for the most, looked like a normal human in shape. Your hair and hair color had not changed, but your skin was a dark Kanabo purple, and your eyes the same kind of yellow as the turtles. Your fingernails were long and claw-like and your teeth sharp. Yet somehow, it was still obvious who you were. You were a kanabo clone of (Y/N) (L/N).
The turtle clones watched in astonishment as you showed off your abilities to Darius. Like your creature, you had the ability to shapeshift. Turn your body to mud in order to move across the floor, before rebuilding your body on the other side of the room. Your strengths were heightened, making you much stronger than your counterpart. When Sh’Okanabo ordered the turtles to attack you, they were shocked to find that you could throw them about easily. Or most of them. One clone had not followed his creature's order, standing back with an unreadable expression. This had caused Darius' anger to rain down over the blue clone, telling him to do as his superiors had told him. But Leo refused. He would not attack you, and neither would he attack a clone of yours. Not with all the memories of his counterpart flowing through his head. All of his sweet memories with your counterpart.
This decision had caused Leo yet another punishment. No food, and he had to sleep in an isolated cold corner of the dark storage room. And Leo did just that, still refusing to do anything that could hurt you, even if you were capable of protecting yourself.
As Leo laid in the corner of the dark room, his arms wrapped around himself, he had not expected company. You came to him in the middle of the night, with a blanket that Darius had given you, and some of the extra food he had showered upon you, believing you to be his new big super weapon.
“Hey”, you whispered, placing a soft warm hand on his big arm. Your warm touch and your small greeting reminded him of memories that weren’t his own. How your fully human counterpart would do the same to the source of his DNA, comforting him whenever something had been bothering. And each and every time, Leonardo had felt a flutter in his heart, just like Dark Leo’s heart was doing at that exact moment. But while Leonardo would smile at your counterpart, and make his warm emotions clear for you, Leo frowned in confusion. A Kanabo was not meant to feel these kinds of emotions, and even with access to all of Leonardo’s feelings and memories up until the moment Sh’Okanabo extracted some of his DNA, Leo had never felt such a thing. Until now.
“What are you doing here?”, he asked, rubbing his tired eyes.
“Just checking up on you”, you said, scooting closer to him in order to hold up the big slab of meat for him. “I got something for you”.
The raising heart beat in Leo’s chest was new. I did not know what to think of it. His Kanabo nature fought against it, but the other half of him enjoyed it very much. Enjoyed the your presence next to him.
He took a hold of the slab, his yellow eyes fixed on the red meat, before he looked back to your face. For a moment he wondered if you always had been so stunning or if his eyes was playing tricks on him.
“You know that Darius will punish you for this if he finds out, right?”, he said.
“Then he’ll just have to punish me”, you said, before wrapping the blanket around him. Even though it didn’t cover him fully, Leo couldn’t deny how nice it was to feel at least a little bit of warmth. “Now, eat”, you said, turning to look at the big storage room. “I’ll look out for Darius”.
“You don’t want any?”, Leo asked.
“I’m already full”, you mumbled. “Darius has pretty much been showering me with food”.
Leo nodded. Of course Darius had done that. Trying his best to build up that intern competition between the brothers that Leo had been trying to tear down. And now they would have to try and compete with Darius’ new favorite.
You sat there and looked out, while Leo ate with eagerness. The meat almost melting at his tongue with the blanket warmed him. And everytime he looked at you, he couldn't help but feel something. Something he knew from Leonardo’s memories. Something that Leonardo often felt when he looked at the DNA source of you.
Once Leo had finished his meat you smiled at him, making his heart beat just a little bit faster.
“I should go now”, you said softly, slowly moving in order to stand up. “You need all the sleep you can get”.
But Leo didn’t want you to leave. It was nice to have you with him in the dark corner of the room. It brought him some sort of comfort. Comfort he had seen between your counterpart and Leonardo, both in his memories and in the penthouse. So when you leaned onto your knees, placing your hand on the floor, in order to use it to push you up from the floor, Leo panicked a bit. His big hand grabbing onto your write, before pulling down to him.
You yelped out in shock as you felt back against Leo’s plastron, but that shock was soon replaced by a smile as you felt Leo place the blanket over the two of you, his big arm wrapping around you, his face buried into the back of your shoulder.
“What happened to the fear of Darius’ punishment?”, you asked with a teasing smile, holding on to his blue arm.
“I don’t fear Darius!”, he grumbled against your shoulder. “I’m just… feeling cold”, he continued sheepishly, hiding further against you.
You turned over in his arms in order to face him, your small black claws tracing small circles on his cheek. “Do you want me to stay tonight?”
Leo sighed, his eyes staring off into the distance. “Darius will get mad”.
“I don’t care”, you whispered, resting your forehead against his plastron, your fingers moving to his chest, continuing their small circles. “Do you want me here?”
“Yes”, the Kanabo clone said, resting his beak against the top of your head, taking in your scent. You did not smell like your original counterpart. No, but to his Kanabo nose you smelled sweeter. It was almost intoxicating.
“Then I’ll stay”, you hummed, cuddling closer against him. “And Darius can’t do shit about it”.
And so you stayed with him throughout the night, comfortable in each other’s arms, as sleep took a hold of the two of you. And as Leo took in the warmth of your skin against him, he couldn't care less about what Darius would say or do in the morning. Not with you by his side.
Did I hear mating season? jekshfjsjhsh well don’t mind if I do. Just imagine: the turtles “mating season” being more of an uncomfortable but manageable slump some time in the spring-BUT after meeting reader and developing a new crush things start to take a change. At first they think nothing of it-expecting the season to go just as it always has, then as time goes on it becomes more and more apparent that something is VERY wrong. Side effects like possessiveness/ aggression/ courting/ nesting/ libido+their urges all suddenly rear their ugly heads to the turtle that is frantically trying to manage his primal instincts and dick
Mating Season With A Crush (18+)
Dark Turtles x reader
A/N: The lucky wheel did a spin and decided on the Dark Turtles for this one🖤💚 This may not be exactly what you were looking for, but I thought it would be fun to play around with the mating seasons of the Dark Turtles, and how it may be different from the original turtles. There’s a lot of potential with all that Kanabo stuff🖤
Warnings: Talk of masturbation, imagination about sex, a porn game, and talk of former pain (not the reader).
Common For All Dark Turtles:
The Dark Turtles had only had one mating season in their new, half mutant turtle, half Kanabo bodies. Yet the memories of their counterparts many years with springs in the back of their heads, made them prepared for what was to come. Yet they were all surprised when their season became less intense than their full blood turtle DNA source. Sure, the dark turtles became more aggressive during this time, but they did not feel this intense need to relieve themselves in their hiding spots like their counterparts did, but they did feel a strong possessiveness, both for food and the few belongings they had. To them, their mating season was horrible, almost painful. With spring the days became longer and the sun stayed up for longer, and for a Kanabo, that was not good news. And neither was it for Kanabo clones. But of course their turtle side has to make them more sensitive these times, only causing the pain, confusion and discomfort to become worse. During that one time, all four of the Kanabo clones had found themselves wishing that their seasons would have been like their counterparts, only making them horny instead of hurtinging. So of course, as they came closer to their second season, the clones expected it to happen again, dreading the upcoming weeks. But to their surprise, upon moving into Cody’s penthouse, their mating seasons took quite a turn.
Dark Leonardo:
That one mating season Dark Leo had experienced, was nothing compared to what Leonardo had been through, with his long seasons that never really seemed to end, until he finally gave into his urges. But Dark Leo had never felt these urges, except the one for punching his brothers growing a lot stronger whenever they came close, feeling this strange pain inside of him intensify whenever they came too close. So when spring time came around in Cody’s penthouse, Leo expected that to be the case once again. But to his surprise, no pain came around as he felt his season come closer. Instead he felt something else. Something that reminded him of what Leonardo usually felt…
As his season crept closer, Leo found himself staring at you more and more, and strange need to be around you growing and growing, coupled with extreme annoyance whenever one of his brothers talked to you. He had once punched Raph out of nowhere, when the red turtle had asked you something pretty innocently, causing both you and Cody to ask him panicked questions. But Leo thought nothing of it in the beginning, thinking it was a sign that the pain and irritation would be coming at any point. But pain never came. Or, at least not a pain Leo had tried before.
One spring evening, as Leo laid in bed, staring at the ceiling, wondering what this strange feeling was, he felt this extreme urge grow between his legs, pushing at his cloaca in a way he had never tried before. It was almost painful. Almost. But Leo knew what that feeling was. Leonardo had felt it before. But where Leonardo would have tried to push it away, not wishing to give in, Leo gave in. Untucking himself and giving in to all of his urges, surprised by the explicit thoughts he was forming about you, dreaming that it wasn’t his hand around his dick, but your tight count.
That night Leo stayed in his room, realizing the extent of the crush he had formed for you, and how it might be the sole reason that he wasn’t rolling around in pain, but instead fucking his own hand.
Dark Raphael:
The only reason Dark Raph had hated his first mating season was because of the pain. The irritation and the need for punching something had never been knew for him, but the pain was really something he could live without. It made him angry. So angry that he wanted to break something. Raph knew that Raphael had often been angry while on his season, but not in the way Raph was. For Raph, the mating season had been nothing but loathing, but for Raphael, it had been a strong irritation that his urges just wouldn’t stop.
As spring came around one more time, Raph was expecting the pain to come out of nowhere, making him horrible and angry. But the anger and pain never came. Instead his own head was flooded with your scent and your sweet smile, making Raph’s knees turn to jelly. Raph had already been aware of his feelings for you for some time, but this was different. It was stronger, the picture of your beauty playing in his head over and over again. And it scared the big Kanabo clone, making him hide out in his bedroom, while his thoughts about you turned further and further to the naughty side.
It didn’t take long before Raph started stealing pillows from the living room - the pillows you had been sitting with a few days before his season started - and brought them to his room. Here he was quick to give into his newfound urges, his hips pounding the mattress while burying his face into the pillow, taking in your smell like he was addicted, imagining it was you that held onto him, begging him to go deeper and harder. He did that for a whole week, finding the need in his cloaca return everytime he came. It was almost frustrating.
Although his mating season was much more pleasant now, with no strange pain running through his body, he could not help but long and feel like a madman, dreaming and hoping for the day he could bury his dick inside of you, instead of his big soft mattress.
Dark Donatello:
Just like his counterpart, Donnie liked to think that he was too smart for a mating season. He couldn’t be bothered, having so many other things that he wanted to spend his time on. But during his first season, Donnie could not fight through the pain that went through him, causing him to hide out in a dark corner of Darius’ storage room, not wanting to be seen or heard, pushing the sun and spring as far away as possible.
But many things changed for Donnie when he and his brothers moved into Cody’s penthouse, taking over the old rooms of their counterparts. It was here that he discovered that Donatello had stopped fighting against his mating season, finally deciding to enjoy it. Donnie found Donatello’s old VR headset, and the program he had made for it. Esensically, it was a porn game, with a customisable player and NPCs.
This headset soon became Donnie’s best friend during his second mating season, customizing the player in order to look like him, and the NPC to look like… you. Donnie could not deny it any longer, especially not while making sure the NPC’s hair and face looked like yours. Donnie had developed a big crush on you, and during his second mating season, he wanted nothing more than to share it with you, hoping that you could calm the growing need pushing from his cloaca.
The whole next week, Donnie locked himself up in his bedroom, and fucked the NPC version of you over and over again, in every possible way he could think of. On his bed, over his desk, pressed against the window, in the bathroom or directly on the floor. And it was during those many sessions, that Donnie couldn’t wait until he had looked through all of Donatello’s old things. Maybe his counterpart had been hiding other things that could help him relieve himself while entertaining his fantasy about you.
Dark Michelangelo:
It might have been Dark Mikey’s often manic state, but the pain of his first mating season did not bother him as much as it had done to his brothers. He had been the one that would poke his head around, and purposefully anny his aching brothers, to the point where they would try to mangle him. It was a strange thing. It was like the pain never touched him, or maybe he even enjoyed it. Or maybe Mikey was just lucky. Like he told his brothers; “Come on guys! It’s not that bad!”
But then Mikey and his brothers moved into Cody’s penthouse, and Mikey was smacked in the face with your beauty from the moment he walked through the door. And that was the start of Mikey’s growing crush on you.
When spring then approached along with the turtle clones’ second mating season, Mikey was shocked to find that it did not feel like it did the last time. Mikey became jumpy and anxious, almost fearing that you were nearby without him knowing. He wanted you to be around, really, but you made his heart beat and blood pump in a way he hadn’t tried before. For the first time in Dark Mikey’s short life, he did not enjoy the adrenaline that ran through his body.
But once in the comfort of his room, where Mikey wouldn’t fear your beautiful eyes looking his way, he could let his mind wander. Mikey could stay in his room for days at the time, feeding on the big scratch of snacks that Michelangelo had left behind before he went back to his own time. But it was here that Mikey could be alone in peace, and touch himself to the thought of you, bringing himself to one orgasm after another, all in an attempt to calm this strange new feeling that his counterpart had been such a big fan of.
Once the week was over, Mikey finally emerged from his room. He was tired, looking forward to a time where he wouldn’t jump whenever you looked at him.
Sick of routine (Donatello x Reader)
Word count: 2341
Fandom: TMNT (2014/16)
Warnings : Mild cursing
Today was like any other. Work was done, and you were on your way home. It was a dark, autumn evening. It was around seven-ish, and the sky was lined in purples and blacks. Walking through the crowded city streets of New York City, you found yourself in a trance of routine. Everything was normal, and every day was the same. You just wanted something new, was that too much too much to ask for? Maybe some news would come, and something different would come around. A girl could only hope, right?
And yet, there was something else in store for our sweet, sweet Y/N.
Donatello and his brothers had been off on their nightly shenanigans. Patrolling the city, hopping from rooftop to rooftop, and looking over these dear citizens they’d come to love. It was kind of sad how every single night they were off saving the world and its people, and they got no respect. They got no love at all. Was it so hard to ask for a thank you every once and a while? But Splinter had told them time and time again that it wasn’t about the thank you; it was about getting the mission done.
You were still walking, taking a small back street that lead straight to the building you stayed in. You were invested in your phone, looking down and reading some article about the vigilantes of your home city. You sighed. That was all that was ever on the news these days. You looked up from your phone, and found yourself accidentally bumping into a big, brawly man. Tattoos scattered his leathery, sweaty, scarred skin. His eyes were red around the edges, and the whites were yellow. Deep circles lined his disgusting face, looking as if he’d either been beaten up or had not slept in some time. Either way, you wanted nothing to do with this guy. He scared the fuck out of you!
“I—I’m sorry sir, I didn’t mean to bump into you.” You said, letting out a nervous chuckle. He grinned, revealing disgusting yellowed teeth. It made you shudder. He grunted at you, though saying no actual words. You nodded as if he had actually uttered something, and began to walk around him, but you found that instead, he slithered his muscular arms around your waist. “That was very rude of you to just bump into me and think you could just walk off, hm?” He grunted, pushing your hair behind your ear. You could feel his nasty breath, smelling of alcohol and weed up close. “Please get off of me…” You whimpered, strangling to move away. “I don’t think so~” He cooed, and made a pass at you, grabbing your hips. It made you yell out. “Get off of me, creep!” You wriggled out of his grip after stomping on his foot. He slammed you into a wall, caging you in his arms, making you cringe away. “You dirty sl-“
“Hey asshole! Over here!” A voice came calling from behind him.
Four huge- maybe 7 feet tall -figures jumped down from behind him, letting off a loud thump. You could only see their shadows, but the disgusting man was dragged off into the darkness, leaving you petrified in fear against the wall still. You just stood there as the four continued to pummel the gross culprit, hearing agonistic screams and a loud “What the hell ae you?!” Before he was knocked out of his misery.
And you were standing there like an idiot, unable to comprehend all of this. “Go on lady, you can go home now.” A gruff, deep voice said. You were knocked out of your trance. Was this the change you were looking for? “Th-Thank you…” You said, still dazed and confused. “No problem, now go home, lady!” He said again. “But- I want to see my heroes?” You said, curious now why they stayed in the shadows. “No, no, no. Promise me, you don’t want to!” A rather nervous voice now spoke up. “But—I want to say thank you to your faces. I promise I won’t judge!” You explained, now stepping closer.
Out of reflex, Donnie held his hand up to stop the lady from coming any closer. He hated people getting too close, seeing as he always had to keep Mikey away from his stuff. He stared at her. She looked completely normal, like any other human. But there was just something about her. But he was quickly knocked out of it when Mikey spoke up. “Not to burst your bubble, dude, but your hand isn’t exactly in the shadows.”
You, on the other hand, had begun to get close enough to see what exactly these people were trying to hide. A hand came thrusting out at you, and you instantly screamed. The hand was big, green, and absolutely hideous! What the hell were these people?! You stepped back, but they stepped forward. “Nice going Don!” The red masked creature yelled. You looked away. All you saw were their colors and faces. Red, blue, orange, and purple. They were disgusting and huge and…green?! Covered in spots, and leathery skin like a dinosaur. That was all you caught. You didn’t want to look at them anymore. You didn’t want to face your fears. You were going to have nightmares tonight about these freaks. You had asked to see them in the first place, after all. You were afraid, scared to tears. That’s right. Tears streamed down your cheeks now, burning hot as they hit your cold, cold skin. “Get away from me freaks!” You yelled, stepping back and not daring to look forward. “Hey, you asked for it, lady!” The deep, gruff voice yelled back. You couldn’t take this any longer, now, and began to run home, as fast as you could, hoping those dinosaur people wouldn’t follow after you.
Donnie felt really bad. He had his eyes on you the whole time. This reminded him of the reason why they never got thank you’s. This reminded him of who he really was, and why they had to stay in the shadows. He watched you cry, watched you as you screamed for him to get away. It hurt him, really bad. He wanted so badly to change how he looked. He wanted to apologize to you and make you feel better. He turned away as you screamed and ran home. He couldn’t bare to watch any longer.
Now, you were in bed. You couldn’t sleep, and kept tossing and turning. You didn’t want to think of those hideous freaks. But you couldn’t get them out of your head. Sure, they saved you from that guy, but… they hurt him. And they could hurt you that same way if they wanted. You finally fell asleep, your eyes fluttering closed, and your tossing stopped. You were having a nightmare about the dinosaur people, just as you had predicted. Chasing you, thumping the ground with every step and…
Donnie had made his mind up after hours in the lab. He was going to go apologize to that woman, or leave her a note if she was asleep. He hadn’t talked to his brothers, which was a terrible idea. But he just felt so guilty…
The huge green people were throwing things at you now, screaming, catching up just as you were beginning to lose your breath. You felt so weak, and they were gaining on you…
Donnie stepped up to your building that he had watched you go in, and took a few peeks in a few windows before finding you. Your bed was pushed up against the window, so he could get a good look at your peaceful, sleeping face through the opened blinds.
Now, you fell, flailing your arms. You screamed in agony as your body was crushed under their weight, laughing, screaming, laughing….
Donnie tapped on the window, and watched as your eyes fluttered open.
Oh god, one of them was here.
He tried to smile, waving at you lightly.
You gasped, jumping up and falling off of your bed. You’d gotten a pretty good look at whatever the hell this guy was. He was probably coming to hurt you or something, or kill you for seeing him.
Donnie frowned, watching you fanatically hide. So, his plan wasn’t working very well. He tapped at the window once more, and found that it was open. He slid the note under, allowing it to flutter down and fall onto your bed.
“I’m not going to hurt you…” He whispered in a gentle, sweet voice.
You shuddered at the words, and closed your eyes, staying down for ten more minutes until you were sure he was gone. He’d left a note?
‘I’m sorry. Me and my brothers didn’t mean to scare you. Our appearance is not our fault, and we’d like to request that you don’t tell anybody about us, for the sake of this very reason. Again, we’re very sorry.’
And two nights later, he came to visit you again. This time, you didn’t look away. In fact, you didn’t know what to do. You just stared at him, and you could see that you were making him extremely nervous.
For two nights, you were all Donatello could think about. He felt really bad for scaring you, and he just wanted to make sure that you were okay. He wanted to make it up to you. He decided to visit you again and try to apologize in person. But, it only got worse. Your eyes were on him the whole time and it was making him uncomfortable as he stood there in front of your window, the blinds drawn. You were staring at him, as he attempted to apologize, but instead he was a stuttering mess.
“I know I’m not human, and I know that’s really scary. I just… w-wanted to s-say sorry again for s-scaring you. I---- I have to go.”
And with that, the dinosaur man- who you now realized was a turtle, was gone. “Wait, purple!” You yelled after him, but he didn’t look back.
Now, two weeks after the attack, you had gotten to actually having a conversation. You learned who he and his brothers were. You learned what he did, and learned his name. Donatello. And you couldn’t get the name out of your head.
A whole month after the attack, you had befriended his brothers. Michelangelo, Raphael, and Leonardo. They were very disapproving of their purple clad brother visiting you and talking to you behind their backs, but they all seemed lonely, and at that, happier with a new human friend. And to be honest, you were happy too.
And now, to today. Seven months since your attack. Since the day you screamed. Since the day that you’d found your turtle. Donatello was now your best friend. You hung out almost every other day, and talked for hours on end through text. You and his brothers were friends too, but not as close as you and Don. He had been the one to befriend you. He had been the one to apologize. He had been the one to come out and tell you it was a mistake. And you were thankful. You still felt bad for screaming, and hurting his feelings, as you had learned. But out of it, you earned a new friend. And…. A crush. You didn’t want to admit it, but you were absolutely infatuated with the purple masked turtle. He was smart, and funny, and honestly pretty good looking compared to the human dumbasses on the surface. He cared about you, and that’s what mattered. But after screaming and calling him a freak for the first time you met him, you didn’t feel confident that he liked you back, or at least in the way that you did.
But thankfully, you didn’t have to.
You were together now, you watching him doing something on his computer. He was so invested in whatever he was doing, you just wanted to catch his attention. You stared forward, and stuck your tongue out. He didn’t budge.
“Psst!” Nothing.
You tapped him, and there was no response.
Making sure there was nothing on the counter, you leaned over and laid on your back, staring up at him. “Hehe, I can see up your nose.” You booped him, pushing his glasses up.
“Stop being so cute, Y/N. I’m doing work.” He responded, though you got a small smile out of him.
“You stop being cute and doing work, then.” You chuckled, and stole his glasses.
“Hey, give those ba--- Wait a second, what? You think I’m cute?” If turtles could blush now, his face would have been steaming red. You could see as his eyes softened and his hands shook, that you finally got him.
“Hehe, yeah. Now, tell me how many fingers I’m holding up.” You said, holding up three fingers.
Donatello didn’t respond, and instead the shaking continued. He was getting a little sweaty, and was looking away. He had the smallest smile on his face, and it was honestly the cutest thing to you.
“Three, dummy!” You laughed, and leaned up, pushing his glasses on his face.
“I love you, Y/N.” He whispered under his breath, trying his best not to look at you. Anywhere but you. Your hair splayed out about you and your beautiful face- he just couldn’t take it.
“Hm? What was that?” You were going to say something else, but then you were shut up.
Donatello leaned down, pressing his lips to yours for a good six seconds, giving you both time to think about what he’d just done.
“I’m sorry… I just k-kinda uh-“ He was sweating again, and was extremely flustered. You thought it was adorable! You just shook your head. “I love you too.” You said softly, making him smile. That was possibly the happiest you’d ever seen him. You couldn’t help but giggle.
“D-Does this mean…?” he whispered.
“Yes, of course.” You shut him up with another kiss.
I’ve got you
Fandom: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Character: Leo Relationship: Leo/reader Request : I've spent a majority of the past 24 hours reading all your TMNT readerfics. If you still do requests, I have a very angst filled one. Can you do a Leo x Reader Fanfic where he discovers the reader about to take his/her own life (I've gone through some things recently and it would mean a lot to have my childhood hero/crush save me..)Keep up the amazing work. I can't wait to read more as I have a habit of checking back frequently. Tears ran down your cheeks as you stared down at the gun that was sitting on the floor in front of you. Despite it being nighttime and the room being in the dark, you could see the gun and where the light of the moon bounced off of it. It seemed to torment you. Teasing you and at the same time, terrifying you. Quick. Virtually painless. It would be over so quickly. All you had to do was pick it up and hold it to your temple. God knows you’ve done it before. But that wasn’t with a real gun. It was with your fingers when you would joke about and pretend to shoot yourself in the head. This gesture would normally be during one of Donnies rants and would make Leo chuckle. Leo. The name alone was enough to make you question your decision. He was the only real thing you held on to. You had been feeling numb to everything in the normal world but the second he walked in the room, you felt different. Like you were important. And that’s how he made you feel. His presents demanded respect and yet he would drop to one knee in front of you and kiss you hand if the chance was given. He would cancel everything for you. He would drop everything if you needed him, even for the stupidest reason. And while you thought of the turtles as family, he was different. letting out a frustrated groan, you pulled at your hair. “Just reach out and pick up the gun!” You growled to yourself, tears now stinging as the cascaded down your cheek and dripping off your jaw. You squeezed your eyes shut, letting out harsh breaths. Darkness. Pure, black darkness. That was what you wanted. But out off that blissful darkness, you saw Leo. He was smiling at you. That look in his eyes whenever he saw you. He looked at you like you were a goddess. And suddenly, that eternal darkness seemed very lonely. Opening your eyes, you looked at the gun. It was an inanimate object, but you felt it taunting you. Daring you. “he'd be better off without you” a nameless voice whispered in the back of your mind. “They all would. No one will care if you’re gone or not. In fact, they would be relived. Who would want to deal with a pitiful and worthless creature like you?” Lunging forward, you grabbed the gun and shoved the barrel in your mouth, your finger hesitating on the trigger. You were sitting on your knees, your back straight and your chin high. “Go on, do it.” The voice whispered. You closed your mouth around the metal, feeling the coldness as you ran your tongue over it. Tilting it slightly, you aimed to make the bullet go diagonally through your skull. You had heard of people surviving a shot to both the back of the throat and through the front of the brain. So you were being careful. The thought made you laugh. How can you carefully hold a gun in your mouth? Especially with the reason you had for doing so. The voice whispered again, edging you on. Closing your eyes, you felt the tears still flowing freely. A part of you wondered about the afterlife, if there was one. What it would be like? Or if you were just thrown in the ground and left to rot. You wondered if anyone would come to your funeral. The turtles and Splinter wouldn’t be able to. You could almost imagine the heartbreak on Leos face. His eyes glistening with fresh tears, his jaw shaking to keep the sobs in, his eyebrows knitted together. “Please.” Leos voice make you jump, a part of you thinking you had imagined it. But when your eyes flew open, you saw he was here. He was kneeling in front of you, the same expression on his face as you had imagined. But his eyes werent filled with hurt and loss, they were filled with fear and desperation. Your eyes widened upon seeing him. He was never meant to see any of this. Although a small part of you thought he would be the one to find your body. “Please, don’t.” Leo whispered, his voice breaking as he held his shaking hands up to you. But you couldn’t move. You were frozen in that position. The tears you were crying were no longer individual tears but just felt like 2 streams coming from your eyes. You managed to chock back a sob. But you couldn’t bring yourself to tear your eyes away from his. They were pleading with you, begging you to stop. with every second you looked into those eyes, you heard the nameless voice beginning to fade away. And as it faded, you regained control of your body. Slowly, you opened your mouth and pulled the gun out till the only thing connecting the two was a small trail of saliva which broke. You saw how hard your hands were shaking as you held the gun to the side and dropped it. As it clattered, Leo moved fast. He grabbed the gun and threw it to the other side of the room before wrapping his arms around you. You fell limp in his arms as he hugged you tightly, breaking down and weeping on your shoulder. You wrapped your arms around his neck and could feel the sobs wrenching through his whole body. But as the shock left your body, it was replaced with regret. Not regret for not pulling the trigger. Regret for thinking about it. “Im sorry.” You whispered, before you broke down. you let the sobs escape your lips as your body trembled. Leo pulled you closer to his body as he shook his head. “don’t, don’t. Its not your fault.” He whispered back to you, holding you closer. As he spoke, that nameless voice mumbled ‘it is’. And you instantly began to pull away from him. “I’ll just hurt you. Please let go.” You begged, struggling against his grip but failing. “Im sorry.” Leo whispered, making you fall limp again. Why was he sorry? He hadnt done anything. In fact he had just saved your life. Leo must have felt you questioning him and he pulled back to look you in the eyes. “Im sorry I didn’t realize how bad it was. How much pain you are in.” He reached out and pushed away some stray hairs before running his hand over your cheek. You instantly leaned into the warm. “I’ll away be here. No matter what. There is nothing that hurts me more than you being hurt. I’ll try help you. I can try and help you get through this. I wont leave or abandon you. I cant. I care about you too much.” As leo spoke, you could have collapsed if his arms hadnt been holding you. He said everything you needed to hear and more. You threw yourself at him, your arms wrapping back around his neck and your face burying into his neck. Your sobs were mixed with ‘thank you’s. “I got you.” He whispered in a soothing voice as he rocked you gently. “I got you.”
