I think about twins a lot in relation to Taskmaster.

One of a set of identical twins is on the show. They get a task saying "Get your sibling to do one task. You receive 5 points if no-one guesses that it's not you."

Or if both of them are on the show and on different teams, they get together to read a task that says "Swap places in the next task. If no-one notices you both receive 5 points"

I really loved the sibling dynamic between Guy and Paul in TMNZ S1 and I think it would be so good on the UK version.

i want so many of the tmnz/tmau tasks to be used in the og show (in their original forms not with a load of convoluted rules added) but none moreso than the fairground ride task in s1. both teams immediately putting paul's life in danger.... incredible television

Watching TMNZ S1 for the first time, and thank god Paul didn’t stick with this… choice of a haircut

I've just started re-watching Taskmaster NZ season 1 and god, I love all the contestants so much, they're just like me fr (anxious, over excited, annoying /pos, can play guitar, gay) but I want to blab about Guy for a sec? Because he seems to be the least favorite for a lot of people, which I kind of understand, but man, his "the people's champion" schtick and overconfidence is so funny to me. It comes across as very tongue in cheek, and the fact that the audience almost never responds to the bit just makes it even better. I also like how he's in a season with Angella, who is 1. the exact opposite and 2. the ACTUAL people's champion. Sorry for rambling, I just wanted to get this out of my system without talking about Taskmaster on main lol.

Hii anon ty for the ask! I totally agree about Guy. I get why people are put off by that personality but I find it so endearing. He might be my fave contestant from S1 tbh. I did feel kinda bad when he would actively destroy the set just to spite Paul (😭) but also that's the kind of chaos I adore from TMNZ.

isn't tm aus also run by the same ppl who did tmnz? might also explain why s1 of tm aus started off strong, they've already had some exp with the format 😅

I actually didn’t look into this before starting the show, but yeah, TM NZ writer Sam Smith is also on for AU so you’re probably right on that one. It makes sense though, since the way NZ would write simple-worded tasks is a reason why it’s so successful, and they definitely carried that over to the AU version.
