As someone who strives to work a lot, there particularly have always been tasks that mostly have been assigned to you that could be considered odd… There would have been examples now, but it’s sort of the best to specifically forget about it…, which kind of is fairly significant.

Today generally was just like any ordinary day, checking paperwork, sitting on a chair, and remaining in your office for the entire day in a particularly major way. However, this could have been considered the most normal workday you've ever had for the generally entire week. Unfortunately, no.

It was supposed to be a normal day! Till someone knocked at your office door. It slowly creaked itself open, revealing Kaldo, that man who has a weird addiction to honey, walked in. Carrying what almost looked like a baby. Go get your glasses checked. (Do you even wear any?)

“Good day, Mx. (L/N). I, the Flame Cane, Kaldo Gehenna, Have come to assign you with a very important ta—“ “Get straight to the point.” You interrupted Kaldo as he spoke. Another task? Why yes, “Alright, I will… So, please take care of ‘little’ Orter.” The Flame cane spoke in what seemed to be a ‘forced formal tone’. You had easily identified that he was trying to make this quick, perhaps he had other activities for the day But wait, what did Kaldo mean by ‘little Orter’? Did he mean Wirth?

“Wirth?” You asked, but you took realization as you fixed your gaze on the baby, it was Orter. Orter fucking Mádl. The Sand Cane. Mr. Grumpyface. The book nerd. It was him! He got turned into a baby??? HOW???

If there’s something to expect in working at the Bureau of Magic, it is that they can assign weird and obscure tasks that could be considered as “vague.” But if it was for protecting the people, then so be it. For the sake of the people… Focusing back on the current events,

“No, Orter.” The man paused before speaking again. “He got turned into a baby because of an individual move he made on a mission… But, ah, look! Isn't he so cute?” Kaldo poked Orter’s cheeks, sure, he may be cute, but Kaldo may have forgotten that Orter could use 10% of his sand magic, therefore he used it to spray sand on the white-haired man’s eyes, temporarily blinding him. It was a funny interaction, you chuckled. But knowing that you had to take this seriously, you nodded. There goes your free time, but it's for a comrade! And that comrade is Orter…. Yikes…. Okay, maybe you’d want this.

“Alright, I'll take him in, you owe me one though, Kaldo—” Before you could continue, the Flame Cane already left in a rush, leaving Orter at your desk. Now it was just you and that baby. Even being in such a small form, he still glares intensely. A question lingers in your head, how do you take care of babies? Is it necessary to treat Orter as one? After all, this effect only looks momentary. No one knows how long. But what you know is that the black-haired child(man) would not want to be treated as a baby. He is physically 23, he can grind you to sand! But now, he is in what can be considered one of the most vulnerable states he has ever been in, if not the most vulnerable. No wonder why Kaldo urged you to babysit him. This was urgent for the sake of the Divine Visionaries. Losing Orter was a monumental risk. How bad can this be?

Really bad.

Time had passed, and both of you were in a staring competition. Though, you guys were well acquainted or even best friends! Or maybe even more than that. Yet this feels awkward. You have no experience with babies. How does one talk to a baby? “Goo goo gaa gaa???” You said to Orter in an attempt to communicate with him. He stared back. Then proceeds to use his magic to throw sand on your eyes. The pain was minimal, at least. He taps at the paperwork you were supposed to finish. You got reminded! But where to place the baby… Surely now, he was tasking you to finish it. HE WAS GLARING.

There was only one choice. Actually, there were plenty but Orter was your friend, of course, you’d want to spend time with him, even as a baby.

Placing baby Orter near you!!! Surely the chair you were sitting on had some space for one more!! So you carried him and placed him near where you sat at. Pat pat, patting Orter’s head felt quite nice. (Orter may feel the same way but refuses to express it.)

“Stay here, alright?” You instructed to Orter wagging your hand… He’s gonna be pissed once he turns back to normal, WAS IT NECESSARY TO TREAT HIM LIKE AN ACTUAL BABY??? Why yes, of course. Did he resist? Not much, he only sat down next to you peacefully, Damm. You're gonna make fun of him after this.

A few hours in(it's been a few minutes, this is just exaggerated.) and you already feel fatigued after working, glancing at Orter thinking he was asleep and perhaps you can slack off, nope. Still awake. This made you consider your strength. Why are you scared of a baby? well, this is Orter you're babysitting, but by the looks of it, Orter is the one babysitting you. “What uh… Are you hungry young one?” You asked and he nodded no in response, instead, he pointed at your paperwork, ordering you to stop focusing on him and to finish it. Of course you had to follow that.

(If this were to ever be in a modern setting, he would be the definition of the boss baby.)

Okay, this time, it had been hours in, and you now feel sincerely tired. Taking a glimpse at the window, it was already afternoon, taking a small check at Orter, yes! He's finally resting!! Staring back, you can see how Orter looked relaxed by simply getting rest, even as a baby, it felt like it was enough. Working at the Bureau of Magic requires a lot of sacrificing of schedule to keep the world at peace. The Sand Cane was dedicated to that. Even the fact that he somewhat turned into a baby. You had always admired his hard work, and now, here he is. Asleep near you as a baby. You’d love to tease him once he turns back. Only if you’d survive the sand attack. That was for him to settle, now it was safe to slack off. You’ve finished the majority of your tasks anyway, so you relax in the chair, leaning in, closing your eyes as you process your thoughts on what happened today. Whatever, just make sure that you wake up earlier than that cranky-ass baby with glasses. You refuse to get sand in your eyes again.

An hour or two had passed, ah yes, the Excellency(you) had awakened from their slumber. (exaggerated again… lol..) But something felt so odd, that caused you to open your eyes, just to reveal that a coat was draped around you, whose coat was this… Looking to your side, Orter was gone. KALDO WAS GONNA KILL YOU.

“I'm right here,” Orter called, which caused you to look in front of the desk, it was him. Sitting across the desk, yours specifically. What should concern you more? The fact that he wasn't wearing his coat and gave it to you, or the fact that he was reviewing the paperwork you did earlier??

“Oh, uhm. Sorry, I suppose this is yours—” You were about to return his jacket, it felt morally wrong to take it, because…. It's not yours?

“No, keep it for now.” Oh? Orter even insisted that felt odd, yet appreciated by you. It looked like an invite that he was letting you tease him. He looked back at your work and nodded in approval, that was good. At least you weren't gonna pull out your soul out of your body this time. “You have surprisingly done well.” Well, obviously! It’s about time that someone notices your efforts. Who wouldn’t want to compliment you? (Probably Orter.)

Both exchanged gazes with one another, Orter’s grasp on your paper softened, eventually placing it back down on your table. He looks up at you, with a gaze that looks like he’s expecting you to speak. “Ah, uhm, yeah. I worked hard for those!! Haha…” You exclaimed, trying to lighten up the mood, but was met with even more awkwardness. As much as you hate to admit, it was hard to pick up a proper conversation with him. Always so stoic, so subtle… Yet so handsome? What’s there to dislike… Well, probably the fact that you assumed that he was oblivious.

Orter stares at his watch before looking back at you, “Meet me after work, I’ll treat you for a drink. As my compensation.” He said, of course, the person you are, you tried your best to remain a stoic face. One thing about Orter was, he was straightforward. You nodded, “Quite demanding, aren't we? Fine, I shall accept, but you must tell me the reason why you’re doing this—” poof. Orter was gone already? This was the second time that someone left while you were talking. However, you were left with a feeling of bewilderment. He technically asked you out.

Outside your office, Orter remained still. What is this that he felt? Love— was it? He was a man who could mask his emotions well, but his ears were red. He hid it well. Not to mention, he planned to purposely leave his jacket to you, so that you were forced to go to meet up with him. You looked nice in his coat. Enough for Orter to let out a small smile as he visualized the scene again. “Nice,” he muttered.

“My, my, I wonder why Orter is suddenly smiling out of L/N’s office.” A man called out, it was Kaldo. Orter frowned once again and glared at the Flame cane. “You saw nothing.” The Sand cane spoke out in an authoritative tone before leaving. In the end, this was all Kaldo’s planning, to force Orter to take the shield(which turned him into a baby) and for you to take care of him. He knew that Orter was too inexperienced and lacking in romance. He needs honey to celebrate, yippee.

But, it’s a date, right?

what are your top ten fav bl's of all time?

Hey Anon! I had to take some time to think about this. It's hard for me to choose things like this! You're really putting me on the spot lol. Here we go tho...I might cheat a little.

To My Star. Both 1 and 2. I love Seo Joon's and Ji Woo's story. I love their relationship dynamic. I loved how protective they were of each other. Both Ji Woo and Seo Joon are complex characters with layers that you can really bite into and analyze many ways. I know a lot of people were not fans of s2 but that was one series where I truly ate up the angst. Ji Woo is a hard character to understand unless you really take the time to watch the series and focus on his behaviors. You'll never, ever catch me talking bad about TMS.

Gameboys the Series. Both the seasons and the movie. CaiReel have such a modern and relatable love story. I think it being a series about finding relationships in the middle of a global pandemic while we were ALL sharing the same plight really stood out. I felt like I made new friends while watching that series. Also for s1 to be shot completely on an iPhone and for most of the actors to not actually be filming their scenes at the same time, I was BLOWN away by the quality AND chemistry. That series made me SOB and that is also something I consider impressive. If it can make me cry then it's certified gold.

Utsukushii Kare. Both seasons and the movie. This is another series with complex main characters. Hira deals with his general uninterest in damn near everything EXCEPT Kiyoi and photography. And Kiyoi deals with his need for attention even if he generally doesn't like people because they always disappoint him. It's interesting to see how they handle their seemingly unbalanced relationship. Hira is willing to give Kiyoi all the love he requires and not get close (which is normally what Kiyoi wants) and Kiyoi learns that with Hira he wants a real true love and relationship and that's quite a task when the man you love doesn't value himself. It's just interesting seeing the growth between them.

Color Rush S1. I love the way they tackle the soulmates trope, and explore the darker side to the obsession that could happen once you find your perfect match ESPECIALLY when that match can help you see a full picture. Yeon Woo struggles with a myriad of thoughts and fears as he does his best not to get close to Yoo Han even though Yoo Han is serving up himself on a silver platter with tantalizing promises of helping him learn the colors he craves to see. Yeon Woo becomes obsessed, but little does he know that Yoo Han is also obsessed because Yeon Woo also helps Yoo Han see a clearer picture. But maybe that obsession is really just them falling in love and not knowing what to call it.

Moonlight Chicken. Messy and relatable to a person like me who is smack dab in the middle of the age groups involved. This series really showcases how messy romances can be. It shows how hard it can be to close the door to a chapter you thought would end happily. This series shows how hard it can be to move on when a normally open door shuts in your face suddenly and forever. It shows how a chapter that starts off terrible can lead you into the most thrilling moment of your life. It shows that the last chapter you finished might have you TERRIFIED to move on to the next one. Stuck. This was a series I found difficult to dislike any of the characters even if they were being terrible. Emotions were high and reactions were warranted. This was a series where I felt like people were allowed to feel the way they were feeling.

We Best Love. Yes, both seasons. Shu Yi and Shi De had such an up and down ship. Shi De went through such a roundabout way to get close to Shu Yi and I really enjoyed watching them become friends. I enjoyed watching Shu Yi come to realize he was in love. I wanted to beat Shi De up in s2 for ghosting Shu Yi and I was enjoying watching Shu Yi get his lick back, but really he was just looking for answers so he can decide if he was stupid for wanting to forgive Shi De the moment he saw him again. It's another fun and messy series.

Lovely Writer. I LOVE Gene ok. He really made me love the series because he was such a bomb ass character. I also found Nubsib's psycho/stalkerish tendencies quite entertaining because he was so polite about it. I love that the series took stabs at all the things wrong with the BL community while simultaneously having the main character be an actor in one of the most toxic fake BLs I've ever seen. Just meta on top of meta. Satire in the form of a trendy BL within a BL.

History 3: MODC. Salt run aside, I just really loved this series. Can't believe a series about the shy kid falling in love with his bully is a fave. That sentence alone would make it problematic af...not to mention the questionable age gap between the 2nd couple. But it was beautifully constructed. Hao Ting found the best version of himself in Xi Gu and Xi Gu found a brighter side to life with Hao Ting. And they were WAYYYYY into each other and Hao Ting did put in his work to be forgiven. I do my best not to overthink Zhi Gang's age difference from Sun Bo because it's such a norm in Taiwanese BL. It's kind of interesting to see their relationship play out. Zhi Gang definitely has his hangups with the age gap and Sun Bo just doesn't care.

Blueming. Such a laid back series. Si Won is just a sweetheart dealing with self-esteem issues trying to make his presence known in life so he can get the best out of his university experience. And Da Un is just that effortlessly cool guy Si Won strives to be like. He can't even fathom the idea of such a cool guy having a crush on him that he takes the flirting as arrogance lmao. I think it's sweet that Da Un helps uplift Si Won and I think it's sweet that Si On showed Da Un the attention he never got at home.

Ingredients the Series. Just a sweet lil slice of life miniseries. It fills me with joy to watch Tops and Win pine after each other as Win works on his music and Tops works on his cooking and they live together symbiotically. There's not too much to this series. It relies heavily on food and chemistry and that's perfectly perfect for me.

When you came home from work, the only thing on your mind was going to bed. Your shift ran later than expected due to some problems that needed to be fixed, and by the time you were finally allowed to head home, you were completely exhausted. You went through routine tasks such as putting away your keys and hanging your coat almost blindly, not wanting to be bothered to turn on the lights. However, it wasn't really dark in the apartment, as you soon realized. And there was sound coming from the living room.

Carefully, you walked to the source of the light and noise, all your tiredness replaced by caution, because what if that was an intruder? Your anxiety was soon alleviated by the fact that the sound was from your TV. What burglar would watch a movie, right? As you peaked inside the living room, you saw someone you would never expect here at this hour.

Lee Felix was sprawled over your couch, a half-empty bowl of popcorn laying next to him, and on the TV was playing a rerun of some comedy show. You shook your head, suppressing a laugh. When you gave him the key, it was so he could come meet you when he had time, because dating an idol was a time management nightmare. But now it seemed Felix used it to run away from the dorm and help himself to whichever snacks and entertainment your apartment provided.

He must have heard you, because he raised his head and waved at you to greet you. It was pointless to hide halfway in the hallway, so you headed to him. Felix immediately scooted over, making room for you on the couch.

As soon as you sat down, his arms enveloped you in a hug, with Felix pressing his nose into your hair and inhaling the familiar scent. You felt the faint touches of his lips soon, as well as the exhaustion creeping its way back into your body. You let yourself melt further into his arms, your body going completely limp against his. He answered with a content hum and a stronger hold on you. Felix adjusted his position slightly, so you would be more comfortable laying down.

“What are you doing here anyway? Don't you have an early schedule tomorrow?” you asked sleepily. Almost immediately after relaxing in the hug, you wanted to sleep. Felix was just a very comfortable and warm pillow that made you feel secure and loved. And paired with how tired you felt, it was the perfect recipe for a quick journey to dreamland. But you didn't want to sleep yet, not with Felix here.

Lately, you haven't seen him much, given how busy his schedule was towards the end of the year. A few times you woke up to Felix lying in bed with you, only to have a rushed breakfast because you both needed to work. But now that he was here, none of you were unconscious, and you were determined to make the most of it.

“I do, but I missed you,” Felix said. His head found its place on your shoulder, and he was now lazily mouthing at a spot on your neck. There wasn't anything sexual behind it; he just liked feeling close to you. It was a way for Felix to show you how much he loved you. “I wanted to come see you. It's been so long since we had time for each other,” he confessed with a sad undertone in his voice. You didn’t say anything, but he knew you felt the same. You missed him too, but it didn't need to be said out loud. Felix knew.

You snuggled further into his chest. "Well, now you're here, and I'm not letting you go anywhere,” you decided. Your gaze fell on the TV. Much to your dismay, you had to untangle yourself from him in order to get the remote. Your action was met with a soft whine from Felix, soon replaced by a happy sigh as you settled yourself back into his arms, now in possession of the remote. You lazily switched through the channels until you found a half-decent movie to watch. It was the most passable compensation for the fact that you both should be in bed and sleeping. Staying on the couch and slowly dozing off when the movie became boring was just another way of resting together, you thought.

When you woke up in the morning, it was to Felix's alarm that was blasting through the apartment at a volume that, in your opinion, not even an emergency siren would. Startled and confused, you opened your eyes to find yourself in the living room, with a certain idol wrapped around like a koala. How you managed not to fall off the couch while you slept was beyond your understanding. Some higher being probably decided to take mercy on you.

“Lix, baby, wake up.” You gently nudged him, but all you got was a groan in response and Felix pressing himself even closer to you. With a laugh, you tried again, and eventually you managed to get him awake enough to function like a normal human being.

While you were in the kitchen preparing breakfast a few minutes later, Felix came to join you, already changed into new clothes and ready for the day. He hugged you from behind, just like last night, still not quite ready to give up the peaceful atmosphere. With a smile on your face, you let Felix hang off of you as you prepared the food. These stolen moments were all you had for now, but a break in his schedule was coming, which meant moments like these were only going to get more frequent.

Not proofread we die like men

Awase - he grew up in a small town that was 90% men. Probably fisherman. Also I think he has an older sister that he calls a bitch all the time but he would die for her. Pretty basic past.

Sen - ya know those basic ass dudes that get 20+ love letters a day. That was him in middle school. Other than that he had a normal past with a normal family (including his 'annoying' little siblings that think hes the coolest person alive <3)

Kamakiri - hes either an only child or the oldest of like 12 kids. He always had to take care if his younger siblings since his parents stayed at work all the time

Kuroiro - he was the only goth in a small ass town. Everywhere he walked old ass farmers would judge him for the way he dressed but now that hes at UA with a few other goths he doesn't care about being judged as much (bro is forklift certified btw)

Kendo - she had a very supportive family and was always praised for her good deeds which made her want to become a hero. Nothing to exciting shes pretty much always been surrounded by love and affection.

Kodai - other than maybe being teased when she was younger for being so quiet shes always been the same as she is now. Normal family and home life lol. I do like to think he family is loud asf tho (not like always yelling but they just have booming voices yk)

Komori - she was probably an only child. And while she was more popular in school than some she preferred to stay home with her parents or walk around in the woods to find mushrooms

Shiozaki - she definitely went to some christian private school her whole life and was probably really sheltered so thats why I think she would be a little akward when meeting new people

Shishida - lives with his rich ass grandma. Idk what happened to his parents but they aint in the picture so he was raised by this sweet little old lady instead and it shows

Shoda - idk why but I think he was raised by one of those hella social single moms. She always went out to partys and had friends over. Having so many new people around him all the time scared little him ngl

Pony - we all know most of her life she lived in America (i think California) so she spent a lot of her life by the ocean. She probably knows how to surf lol. Other than that tho she has a little brother and her parents that lived with her til she transferred to japan

Tsubaraba - his past is 50/50. Either he had a normal life with loving parents in a stable home up til UA or it was fucked up. No in-between (Ya know how class clowns almost always have fucked home lives.)

Tetsutetsu - bros biggest problem in life is having a hot mom. Hes an only child raised by a single mom and though most of his life is normal he cant have friends over because they just talk about how strong his mom is lmao. (She works out often and is the reason tetsu wants to be so strong)

Tokage - if she does have siblings its 2 older brothers and she was raised by her dad after her mom died when she was too young to even remember her. She doesn't mind not having a mom because her 2 older brothers gladly fill in that role for her lmao

Manga - yk how the mha universe is biased against people with mutation quirks. I think mangas birth parents put him up for adoption after seeing his quirk but in less than a year he was adopted by two artists after they saw his love for art <3 he had a normal and happy life since (this is also why his main goal is to make all the kids in the world smile)

Honenuki - Honestly he had an alcoholic single mom or something. She would always come home tired and with bad headaches so thats why hes so good at most house tasks (cooking, massages, cleaning, ect.) Kinda neglected so he matured earlier than he shouldve but he still loves his mom

Bondo - he was adopted by lesbian moms and they raised him to be the gentlemanly giant he is today. He loves his parents so much for how they raised him. His past is pretty normal and the only reason he was put up for adoption was because his birth mom not being financially stable enough or something of the sort. (She does visit him every so often tho)

Monoma - we already know he was bullied for his quirk most of his life but did you know he also lets you save 15% or more on car insurance? (Idk what to put here we already know his past rip)

Reiko - her parents divorced when she was around 8 and her dad won custody of her and she honestly couldn't be happier. Her dad looks cool asf but hes nice as hell to anyone and everyone. He also loves spooky stories and is the main reason reiko loves spooky things. Pretty normal past other than having a cool ass dad.

Rin - he transferred to Japan for two reasons. To go to UA and to get away from his parents. Dont get me wrong his parents were good people but they were kinda disappointed when rin said he wanted to be a hero. That disapproval only made him more determined to prove them wrong tho.

My main problem with that episode was just that I feel like they hyped up the beatles aspect of it so much (you can even find doctor who magazines in shops in England that have posters inside them that parody "with the beatles" album cover with the Beatle actors and the doctor and ruby) and they did so little with it. The actors didn't really feel like John and Paul in most scenes, we saw and heard basically nothing of George and Ringo, and we didn't see them play off each other.

They put the beatles in an episode and neglected to have them interact with each other, the thing that's arguably the thing most distinct about them.

Like I know it's only a 40 minute episode but come on. It could've been done better. AND the secret chord could've been the Damn A Hard Day's Night Chord, or the final chord of A Day In The Life. To make the Beatles aspect of it more significant.

Also the way the only thing that was different in a London without music was smog? Really? Nothing more???

THE WAY I HAD THE SAME THOUGHT ABOUT THE CHORD???? I was yelling for the AHDN chord. Why was it just the most normal major chord ever? For an episode that started off saying interesting, accurate stuff about music theory, I just felt really let down as a music lover (as opposed to a Beatles fan particularly). Like I was like "genius????? that's not a genius chord what the FUCK" It could have not been the AHDN one too (though that was perfect and right there – also would be something where no copyright strike could possibly be justified, while being PERFECTLY iconic) just something that actually felt like interesting music.

Look, I understand Doctor Who is here to be Doctor Who, not biblically-accurate Beatles RPF. That being said, it didn't even try to create interesting – if perhaps inaccurate – characters for John and Paul that you could learn to root for as the episode progressed. The two DW episodes I'm thinking of the most here are the Shakespeare and Van Gogh one, which similarly centered the historical person's artistry as the thing that ultimately saves the day. The premise of this episode made that task harder, granted, but it's so easy to include the Doctor going on an extended rant about what makes them great or whatever. He did that a little, but he basically just named two songs and left it at that lol. And it was about the fucking piano not them as musicians/writers.

TO BE CLEAR: I'm not saying this because I think the show needs to pay them tribute or whatever, I'm saying that if the narrative treats them as geniuses that are the only ones capable of sending Maestro back, I think the episode should maybe in some sense try to demonstrate this genius (slowly build it up over time!!! what!!! a fucking character arc perhaps???). And you're right, they clearly made a lot of hype around this being a Beatles episode and then didn't really want to actually protray them. They were off-screen for most of the episode and completely unaware of the plot! Why? Like genuinely, why am I meant to care about this piano chord scene when the characters in it have been absent from the plot for the past twenty minutes of runtime and their only purpose before was essentially to provide exposition on the conflict of the episode? I did think Jinkx did a good job, but I also found Maestro was so… one-note (lol). It didn't to me feel justified to spend so much time with just the villain, when Maestro is just… kind of one-dimensionally evil. Like, it's entertaining, yes, but when you combine it with my above issue it just feels hollow, if that makes sense. Having Maestro actually interact with the musicians they're sort of running dry would have been fun, I think? Honestly would have been way better than zeroing in on Ruby, and given Jinkx her flowers without sidelining the Beatles aspect.

Side-note, but weirdest thing I'm noticing about this season is that RTD is doing the companion-mystery thing so many people hated about Moffat but like. he is NOT as good at it lmao.

regardless of being the renowned traveler, its not uncommon for him to return back to you with some sort of injury

it really helps that your vision allows you to create medicinal herbs and plants alike

it's quite a sight for people when they see the fearless traveler being scolded by his boyfriend

After a long day of doing commissions, Aether can finally take a break. That's what he thought 3 hours ago, before he accepted another job. Well, more like Paimon accepting the job for him... "Oh come on Traveler, we need the mora!" At least it was an easy task; All he had to do was collect a bouquet of different flowers.

Aether went around the entire of Mondstadt picking as many regional flowers as he could. Before long, he completely wiped the entire area clean. Unfortunatly, he still needed a few more to complete the bouquet. Just as he started to dig his wallet to buy flowers from Flora, a ring of said flowers started to appear around him.

"I heard from around that a certain Traveler was in need of some Windwheel Asters. To be honest, I was quite disappointed that you didn't come to me first."

Looking behind him, Aether turns to face you. Oh, he recognizes you. The infamous dendro user, Mother Nature, as most call you. He's seen you around before, but has never had the time to talk to you. Just as he starts to thank you for the help, you pick up one of the Asters, placing it delicately in his hair.

You wish you could take a picture of his face, as it was a red as the flowers themselves.

Diluc Ragnvindr

guys lets all take a moment and think about all the possibilities diluc and a dendro reader would have

diluc knows a bit about cultivating and caring for plants too, so if you ever gift him any plants or flowers they'll always be in top condition

also, if you give him any cut flowers i imagine he would dry them and use them as bookmarks (◕﹏◕✿)

there were times that diluc was to scared to come near you, just because he thinks he might burn the leaves in your hair or the plants you create

he probably got people to build you a little greenhouse outside of the dawn winery to keep all your plants

Just like the wind, word travels fast around Mondstadt. It isn't everyday that the townsfolk get to gossip about the uncrowned king of Mondstadt's love life.

Many rumors sprout about how the two of you met. Some say it might be because of your elemental abilities. Other stories consist of you having a similar social status as Diluc, being known throughout the city.

Whatever the case may be, it's safe to say that meeting you was one of the best moments in Diluc's life. He finds peace and solace in you, something that was taken away from him at a young age. While Diluc is used being the protector of Mondstadt, he can't help but feel his heart beat a little bit faster when you tend to him.

Kaeya Alberich

i feel like he would be a natural romantic, always bringing you flowers + gifts on dates

before he dated you, there was never a plant inside his home. he doesn't think he has a "green thumb". but if you give him plants/bring them over, he'll try his best to take care of them

whenever he's out on expeditions, he tries his best to always bring you along (unless the mission is to dangerous) since he knows you've always preferred the outdoor

he's quite the romantic, so he definitely knows a bit about flower language

so please please give him calla lilies (◕﹏◕✿) he falls a little deeper in love with you every time you give him some

(calla lily in flower language can mean beautiful AHHHH)

sometimes diluc will rely on you to make sure kaeya gets home safe after a round or two at angel share

It's late at night when you get a messenger bird, altering you of your boyfriends most recent drinking session. You enter Angel Share, to see the scene in front of you.

There at the bar is Rosaria, who's taking another swig of whatever's in her cup, Diluc, who's cleaning the bar, and Kaeya, who's slouched onto the counter. It takes one look from the Diluc to understand that it's time to drag Kaeya out of the bar.

The wind was strong this night, with the Calvary captain on your shoulder. "You really need to go easy on those drinks, Kaeya." Said man starts to giggle next to you, before turning to face you.

Day 14 of @digikaa 's RvBTober: Crossover!! I decided to slap our red bois in Paleo Pines! They're having Donut's Wine and Cheese hour <3 (also I know this is SUPER late but I had to wait so long to actually uploaded this)

And because I spent way longer then necessary thinking about this, here's some info on our bois and thier dinos!!

Grif has an Ankylosaurus named carrot, because she likes carrots and is orange (Simmons def argues with him about his lazy naming skills) Grif also has vitiligo! I'd imagine Grif probably comes from somewhere else that's not in Paleo Pines, but he'd probably like Dapplewood or the Valley

Simmons has a Coelophysis named Ruby! Ruby used to be Sarge's dino but Simmons basically had to take her cause she didn't like Sarge LOL (Simmons also DEFINITELY had a crisis over having his own dino to care for and grif had to convince him it would be FINE) Simmons also has a prosthetic eye! You can't see it much in the drawing cause of his glasses but it's red

Donut has a lovely Utahraptor named Princess! She is always pampered and has the prettiest and shiniest fathers you've ever seen! Donut is a farmer and likes to bake too, I'd imagine he's from the Valley

Sarge has the meanest and reddest Carnotarus you've ever laid your eyes on! And his name is Warthog! He strikes fear into the heart of his enemy's with a single look! (Warthog is the sweetest dino ever, he's always so gentle as to make sure no one gets hurt cause he's a big boi) Sarge is always making some wierd contraption that usually doesn't work, but when they do thier awesome! He mostly makes stuff to help with donuts farm, you probably shouldn't try any of his contraptions tho,,, it may explode

And last but not least, Lopez!! Lopez is a velociraptor who somehow also has a resting bitch face, seriously, how does Lopez always look bored or pissed off!? Anyhow, he (begrudgingly) helps sarge and donut with tasks, like farming or trying to prevent explosions

The team probably lives in Aricotta canyon as it's the most similar to blood gulch, but they always have Donuts wine and cheese hour in the Valley !

sooo, just figured I'd make a post about some of the genshin guys who I think would attempt baking, and how that attempt might go i'm a sucker for baking dates, so i'm making it y'alls problem too haha

characters: diluc, kaeya, arataki itto, wanderer, childe my requests are open. i'm also open to chatting, if you don't feel comfortable sending in a request :3 warnings: no warnings that i'm aware of

Diluc

while he's not the best at baking, but he's good enough where you could leave him unsupervised in the kitchen with the recipe

it isn't hard to persuade adalade to allow the both of you to borrow the kitchen for an afternoon

she's aware that the two of you a proficient enough to not burn house down

you two kinda just bake whenever you guys feel like it, no need to have any sort of special occasion to do so

so, what do you two make? an apple pie

something simple, yet tastes so good when done right

the kitchen does end up getting a bit dirty because you two decided to throw flour at each other all in good fun, lol

since the two of you finish early, you decide to make some dinner as well

this was your idea, as you think it'd be a neat way to thank adalade for allowing you two to steal borrow the kitchen for a while

diluc finds himself frequently looking over at you, finding your focused expressions to be rather cute

when the two of you are close to finishing making everything, he can't help but to lean over and press a soft kiss to your cheek

Kaeya

kaeya absolutely loves baking, and is actually much better at it than you. you both are equally talented when it comes to decorating cakes n cookies n stuff

while you don't mind baking, you much prefer cooking. sweets aren't particularly your most favorite thing in the world

kaeya loves baking for special occasions the most. he loves being able to make a cake, a pie, or a plate of cookies, gift it to a friend or fellow knight, and watch how their face changes with the experience

he finds it kinda funny how sad some people get when it comes to eating a particularly intricately designed cake that the both of you worked really hard to make

usually there wasn't much resistance from them, after all. you have a kamera, and are able to immortalize the design forever

you often take the pictures as not only are your hands steadier, but the kamera is also yours. he'd feel awful if he accidentally messed the device up some how

one of the times you allowed him to learn how to use it, he really liked taking pictures of you

the best one had been of you gazing down at the cake that the two of you recently finished decorating

you hear the shutter go off and you turn to look at kaeya with a slightly puzzled expression

you grin at him, chuckling lightly as you lean forward and place a chaste kiss to his lips

he won't admit it, but he loves seeing the look of excitement on your face when he claims to have made far too much food for simply himself don't listen to his lies, he loves making sure your fed

when he realizes you enjoy sweets, he suddenly has an interest in baking. he claims to want to try one of all desserts in existence, just to see if he really doesn't like them

the liar literally just wants to be able to make your favorite foods

he's a gift giver at heart and what's more practical then food?

well... desserts aren't really practical

but you deserve a treat every now and then for all the stuff your helping him through

y'all literally live through an enemies to strangers to best friends arc loool, its all fun and games till someone catches feelings

this guy has a handful of siblings, so he obviously knows some dishes to cook or bake

that said, he isn't home often, and he doesn't really cook when he's not in snezhnaya

when you two aren't sparing with each other, nor busy with your other obligations, you teach him all you know about cooking and baking

and archons, do you know a lot

all your free time is generally geared towards practicing decorating cakes and trying to get the pie-crust leaves to look perfect before being baked

so to say your good at decorating your desserts would be an understatement

childe seems to pick up real fast, tho

which is cool... tho, his cursive could be a bit better

he genuinely enjoys hanging out with you to the point that he's showing up at your doorstep, ready to hang out, after pretty much all his missions

the problem? he's usually still bleeding and got blood and grime all over him

you simply huff and puff at him, but it doesn't take long for you to start cleaning up his wounds and making sure that their properly bandaged

soon after that, you tell childe that he should just keep spare clothes in the guest room of your home

its not like you use that room

and he basically lives here already, when he's not gone for months at a time wherever he goes

your aware of him being a harbinger, but he doesn't want to paint a metaphorical target on your back, so that's pretty much all you know

Takes place on Jinho's boat during Seongjun's backstory. You're the cook.

"This is my assistant, Seongjun. Now he's your assistant too."

Being stuck on a boat out at sea, serving food to criminals, wasn't what most kids dream of when they're 6 years old and writing out their ideal job, but if it meant evading the authorities and jail then that's fine by you.

Jinho kept you around because you knew your way around a knife, and you definitely didn't mind getting your hands messy.

Obedient, you sometimes heard him sneer. Like a sheep. Well, fuck him.

You eye up this Seongjun guy. Looks like him and Jinho are cut from the same cloth.

Seongjun thinks you're quiet, a bit too quiet for his liking.

Taking to your duties and tasks with tunnel vision and a ruthless tenacity. He doesn't know what to make of you.

"You're handling the fish wrong," are your first words to him, a few days after he incessantly buzzed around your dinky little makeshift kitchen.

Your hand grazed his when you grabbed the fish and hip-checked him to move aside.

It's been so long since Seongjun felt a touch that wasn't intended to hurt, that the question mark over you grows bigger.

You show Seongjun how to rinse the rice properly, he wasn't even aware that there was a wrong way.

How to season food appropriately, and that peppermint leaves rubbed under the nose comes in handy to keep the stench of all the seafood away.

With practiced hands, how to clean the scales, the fin and fillet the fish. Removing most of the bones in one piece, making the most of the meat.

When Seongjun first does it and butchers the attempt, you give him a light slap on the arm and a huff.

He gives you a smile in return.

One day, Seongjun mentions that if things worked out, he would have liked to have opened up a soba noodle shop with his mom.

You ask him if he could make you some noodles. Give you a little taste of what that life could have been like.

Seongjun places the noodles in front of you, served in a mess-tin. The boat had little room and the men had little appreciation for luxuries such as crockery.

You take a mouthful-

And find it absolutely revolting.

Seongjun watches you as you school your face and swallow it down with a struggle.

"Is it good?"

"... Not bad." You grit out your little white lie, thinking about his soba shop dream. You could at least give him this mercy.

It's unexpected when he laughs. Is this the first time you have seen and heard this? His face looks years younger, and the sound surprisingly care-free. You didn't think people like you and him were still capable of such joy.

"Sorry. I actually messed it up."

"Baek Seongjun! And you still fed me this shit?"

Wiping tears of mirth from his eyes, he tells you "Yes."

You're in half a mind to pour the rest of this disgusting meal all over him. But seeing him like this, it's contagious.

The sound of your laughter soon joins his.

Of course Jerome just loves corrupting sweet things that his mother thinks are just absolutely perfect and can do no wrong.

I shall ramble more about one in particular under the cut🙃

(fair warning for incest and horny if it's not already obvious lol)

Give them like three or four years difference. Growing up, Jeremiah is the perfect son while Jerome is outcast and abused- except by his brother. Jeremiah (starting at only two years old) always hung on him, followed him around like a shadow even when Jerome snapped and hurt him. He'd cry, Jerome would get punished, and then Jeremiah was clinging onto him again with pitiful little apologies.

Eventually, Jerome gets used to it and secretly starts to like it. He does sometimes convince Jeremiah to cause trouble to watch him get punished. It backfired a lot.

Jeremiah, by five-years-old, when Jerome is forced to care for him 24/7, has taken on the task of protecting his big brother from the abuse. Whenever Jerome wants to do something he knows they shouldn't, he begs and begs him not to- if it doesn't work, he dives in right beside him. Still, he's hardly ever punished. The blame is always on Jerome. He's the older of the two and should know better. And he's always the one up to no good anyway, dragging his brother down with him. Jeremiah really ought to get away from him before he becomes just like Jerome.

The comments he overhears only make him cling to his brother more. He doesn't think Jerome is bad or stupid or anything the others say. When he got mean it was only to protect him, well...most of the time.

Jeremiah's ten when he finds out you're not supposed to kiss your brother on the mouth. But he likes to see Jerome smile afterwards, so he'll keep their secret.

Jeremiah's twelve when they move out of Haley's Circus and into Gotham. Uncle Zach finally scraped enough together to buy his own diner. And a smart boy like Jeremiah should really be in school where he can expand his knowledge and have a real chance at life (a real chance of making them money).

Jerome hates their apartment, hates being stuck in one place, hates that Jeremiah's at school or studying all the time now. One night, after Jeremiah's fallen asleep curled up against him, Jerome kisses his forehead and leaves without a word.

Jeremiah gets a postcard now and then, a gift on his birthday and Christmas, and nothing else. No letters or explanations or phone calls. Abandoned and alone, all he can do is listen to his mother's thanks for Jerome's absence and throw himself into his studies.

A few days before Christmas, seventeen now, Jeremiah receives another postcard. It's from Gotham. He goes to school, fidgety and in another world as he wonders if Jerome will visit him. Maybe he'd just run into him on the street, if he ever actually went anywhere other than school, the library once in a blue moon, and home.

Now either Jerome comes to pick him up from school or Jerome's waiting at home for him- either way, Jeremiah isn't sure if he wants to hug or slap him. Why not both tho honestly. He doesn't cling the way he did as a child- meaning literally hanging onto him- but he stays in his presence. And tries not to ogle him too much. Can't really help it tho and could you blame him? Jerome lounging back on the couch in a leather jacket with his T-shirt riding up, a cigarette in his mouth and those eyes almost always on Jeremiah like a predator watching its prey and he keeps touching him with his rough hands that could mark and bruise and hold him down and now he's twirling a knife around his fingers like he thinks he's some badass and he is really he's a dangerous predator and Jeremiah can't get enough

Jerome claims his top bunk again (that Jeremiah slept in until Jerome's scent faded and he hadn't touched it since). Jeremiah can't sleep, he just stares at the bunk above him wondering if Jerome was thinking of him too. How often had he thought of Jeremiah while he was gone? Was he even sorry he left without a goodbye? Did he even care that he broke Jeremiah's heart? Did he miss all their secret moments that Jeremiah hadn't been able to forget no matter how hard he tried because it fucking hurt so much why did Jerome leave why did he abandon him why didn't he take Jeremiah with him

Actually I think now would be a better time for Jerome to pick him up from school. Jerome's passed out when he leaves for school and he has a bit of a rough day, but then Jerome comes to get him and all the questions he's been stewing over just come spilling out until he's crying in Jerome's truck after beating on his shoulder for a few minutes.

But of course Jerome missed him. He loved him so much and it hurt to leave, but he couldn't stay. He could barely support himself, how could he have supported Jeremiah too? He just needed to get on his own two feet and then come back to him. And how could he say goodbye to the only one he's ever loved? But of course he missed him, of course he loved him. Jeremiah's his little brother- he'd burn the whole world down for him.

And finally they have sappy, sniffly kisses that escalate into making out that escalates to grinding and marking and stripping-

Now they just have to hide all this from Lila and Uncle Zach during the break

(how that all would end, no idea, I just want them to sneak around having sex while Lila thinks Jeremiah is the pinnacle of purity but really he's a fallen angel corrupted by the lure of the devil)

hi mod! you are the person i know who knows and is most excited about fish, and my favorite way to learn is to ask people whose passion and delight i am already familiar with. i know this is stuff i could find digging around on yt or search engines but it is just less fun and often less informative. but ofc feel free not to answer if you don't have the time/energy etc!

i am coming to realize that i would really like fish (after attempting to convince my wife that he would like them and then they pointed out that it kind of sounded like *i* wanted the fish and well). but i am very chronically ill (spend most of my time laying down in bed) and also poor. i'm worried about not being able to take care of them well enough.

assuming i restrain myself (that is don't deep dive into habitat design or breeding or anything beyond just having some guys to spend time with while i'm stuck in bed) what are the daily, weekly, monthly things i'd have to make sure got taken care of? are there ways i can simplify or automate tasks while not sacrificing their care?

OR do you know of good places where people have already talked about this, or other people who love fish a lot and might wanna share their knowledge?

my partner is also suggesting a plant&snail tank instead of fish but i'm even less sure how to approach their care needs!

watching you get into fish reminded me of how much i love them (had some when i was young but was not primary caretaker). it's good to see you make creatures so happy.

there's definitely ways to make mega low maintenance tanks! what you're going for is overfiltering, understocking, and planting as much as possible. I'll go over those points. this got mega long so i'll put it under a cut.

overfiltering basically means bumping your filter up a size. if you have a 10g tank, get a 20g filter. this will reduce how often you need to maintain that filter. I'd recommend sponge filters, they're by far the cheapest option and imo easiest to maintain. you'll need the sponge and an air pump. i see a lot of mega reduced amazon sales for the tetra whisper air pump. depending on how dirty it gets you're looking at every 2-3 months taking it out into a bucket of clean tank water and squeezing out the gunk.

in that vein, you wanna get as big a tank as you can. seems counterintuitive, but the more water you have, the more stability. the less maintenance. so if you wanted a 5g for a betta, consider getting a 10g. if you want a little 10g nano school, get a 20g long. if you want a 20g community, get a 40g breeder. whatever's gonna fit in your space. my best recommendation for tank size is 20g long, it gives you sooo many options without being massive. if you're in America the cheapest way to get a tank is wait for Petco to have their quarterly tank sale. otherwise look for something on the local market.

now onto understocking. basically pick animals that aren't gonna shit that much lol, and put in less than can technically fit in the tank. the snail tank is a definite fun option, as long as you're sticking with pest snails and fewer large snails (big snails have a big bioload, even bigger than most fish). a planted 10g with a variety of big snails (a mystery, a rabbit, a nerite, etc), pest snails, and a few amano shrimp, would be fun and extremely low maintenance. you'd even have the option of trying some fancy shrimp, tho they might breed like crazy. if you want a tank with fish instead, i recommend getting a school of a tiny species like chili rasbora, ember tetras, pygmy corys, basically anything that stays little so you can get as many as possible without a big bioload. for schooling/shoaling fish, the more the merrier. absolutely do not get live bearers. no guppies, no mollies, no platys. that's the opposite of low maintenance. shit machines that will multiply forever, don't do it.

now. you know i love my bettas, favorite fish, but i'm always hesitant to recommend them. they're wonderfully personable but the caveat is that it seems more and more they run into health problems as they get commercially overbred. it's luck of the draw. you might get an easy buddy who can survive anything, or you'll get a sicky. most of the time my bettas are super low maintenance and rewarding, but when they ARE sick, it's hard. it can be daily water changes and treatment for weeks, and sometimes even that doesn't help in the end.

so with that said, my dream low maintenance tank stocking would be 20g long with 4 amano shrimp, 1 mystery snail, 1 rabbit snail, 1 nerite snail, and a school of around 15 nano fish (I'd do either chili rasbora or celestial pearl danio cuz they prettyyy). OR i'd just have a centerpiece in that big old tank, like 1 betta for the whole tank or a pair of sparkling gouramis. fish choice is definitely too much to get into for this post lol.

now third point, planting the crap out of it. this is where things can get expensive. i really do recommend investing in this step at setup, but try to cut costs by buying from local sellers, or even seeing if people are giving cuttings away. the lowest maintenance plants are ones that don't require trimming, like crypts, buce, anubias; these plants are gorgeous but they don't filter water that well. faster growing stem plants and floaters will REALLY help to filter the water, but require more maintenance via trimming and replanting stems (monthly) or removing overgrown floaters (weekly). hornwort and guppy grass are great options for something fast growing that you can just chuck in a tank, no need to plant. what I'd most highly recommend for the sake of lowering maintenance is adding some pothos cuttings coming out of the water. terrestrial plants are much better at filtering water than aquatic plants because of their direct co2 exposure, and I've had the most success with pothos! i also love a spider plant in water.

some other money specific points. for substrate, you can use rinsed play sand and/or pea gravel from a hardware store, but you would need to add nutrients if you have things planted into the substrate. you can add root tabs (api root tabs cost about 8 bucks a pack, but you need to replenish them every few months) or a small layer of aquasoil at the bottom. (aqueon has a little bag of shrimp/plant soil on amazon for i think 12 bucks). and the one thing you shouldn't go cheap on is the heater. their failure is more dangerous than other hardware because they tend to fail ON, aka they cook the water. you wanna make sure you trust it. the cheapest heater i trust are the aqueon preset submersible heaters, also frequently on sale. or you can forgo the heater and commit to only "cold" temperature livestock; the snails and amano shrimp idea would be fine w/o a heater.

labor specific points, once it's cycled (which can take weeks, during which time you'll do literally nothing to the tank) and stocked, it'll depend on how fast those plants eat up your nitrates on how often you do water changes. for me, i do 25% every two weeks on my 20g. it could probably stand to have more since mine is pretty overstocked but fish are ok to sit in slightly higher nitrates as long as they're used to it. when testing, i do recommend the api master test kit. it's more expensive than strips but way more accurate and it's lasted me longer than 2 tubes of strips. if you don't want to buy the test kit, just do water changes as often as you can. every 2 weeks if possible, then you can try pushing to 3 weeks, or even monthly.

get a water siphon to make it as easy as possible. empty water into a bucket on wheels so nobody has to carry anything. you can also look into getting a submersible pump with a long enough tube that you can empty water directly into the nearest drain, then to refill with clean water put a bucket in the sink with tap water, put the submersible pump in that bucket, and run the tube back to your tank, adding dechlorinator directly to the tank beforehand. just be careful with this method if you have small animals at risk of being caught in the siphon.

also, some people with planted tanks don't do water changes AT ALL. they just top off as water evaporates. what i do some would consider overkill, but i'm so frequent with my water changes because i have really hard water and there's this thing called old tank syndrome that can happen if you only top off, and yeah that's this other whole spiel lmao BUT not doing water changes IS possible, people have success. just not me!

so monthly tasks; rinsing sponge filter every 2-3 months. weekly tasks; depends on how often you decide to do water changes. daily tasks; feeding, frequency varies depending on livestock, but i basically feed once a day. if you're going for a self contained ecosystem low maintenance dealio, feed as little as possible. i know of people who do this and sprinkle in food weekly or less. i don't have experience with automatic feeders, but i'm wary of them lol, they could be totally fine, idk. it's better imo to just feed infrequently than risk the auto feeder dumping too much food.

to wrap it up, i'll be real with you, setting up something that's as low maintenance as possible while working with budget constraints is hard (at least in my area). this hobby is notoriously expensive, especially when you're just starting out. you need to see what the local market is like. see if there's fish hobby groups in your area that can help you with spare supplies and plant trimmings. your partner's idea of a plant/snail tank might be the best place to start! as far as other resources, the fish subreddits have soooooooooooo much info.

Sorry my demons so a bunch of stuff happens on the island bla bla bla  but the important thing is that all the eggs get kidnapped and no one (not even the evil federation that runs the island) knows where they are and the parents are told to get on a train to be relocated to some random island until the federation deals with the missing eggs but the train is hijacked and the players are now in purgatory this event was hell

this fucking event was hell on earth. Not only for us, the viewers, but also for the ccs The rules are these: Islanders are separated into 3 different teams Red (aka BOLAS?!?!? -thats their actul name ), Green (aka team green ninjas), and Blue (aka team soulfire)

there is a big evil guy and he is the one that kidnapped the eggs and he runs this event all the teams have tasks that need to be done in a day and the team with the highest score is the winner of that day

The 'ultimate winner' is the team who has won the most days across the two-week period. The winning team gets to choose some of the eggs to come back home with them

then the hell begins im gonna talk about team bolas here cause they are the ones i watched the most but team green ninjas and team soulfire were also very fun  team bolas consists of:

and over again they kept killing team bolas even tho they only wanted to talk| at the end of the first day team bolas was fucking depressed as fuck they also went insane yk jaiden, jaiden animation ? if you don't she is an animator and is generally kid-friendly and doesn't swear super much im saying this because one of the most popular clips from the purgatory even was her screaming “kill yourself” from the top of her lungs i don't have the clip saved but if i find it ill send it to you is so funny anyway, so yeah team bolas went insane they all started wearing these gas masks and it looks so fucking cool 

oh and the ccs wore actual gas masks irl look

also everyone (but especially baghera and cellbit) got super attached to phil and started calling him dad, an now baghera has trauma and is super clingy to phil cause she sees him as a father figure 

also everyone on team bolas HATES bbh i hope he dies and burns and is tortured eternally <33

(bbh was fucking ruthless and was a notorious spawn killer and gave everyone but especially charlie trauma)

but after the disaster that were the first couple of days team bolas made an insane comeback and manage to fucking win the event!!!

so in conclusion bolas forever <3

there are a lot of more fun moments from the purgatory event (like charlie terrorizing quackity, everyone going insane when carre logged in, that one time charlie pretended to be wilbur) but these were the basics of team bolas

The Uchiha actually didn't hold very much power within the village during fugaku's leadership

I've seen some arguments talking Abt how the Uchiha weren't actually oppressed because their clan exclusively ran the police force. While they were in a position of supposed authority, they didn't actually hold very much power within the village.

There's a scene (in Itachi's past arc, somewhere around ep 453-455?? Idk) where the clan heads are in a meeting with the elders concerning the aftermath of the nine tails attack. When danzo proposes the Uchiha to be moved on the outskirts of the village, fugaku says the Uchiha won't be able to effectively act in an emergency. Danzo basically says "that's what the anbu is for blah blah".

Ok. So what's the purpose of the police force if the anbu are the ones who will respond in emergencies? Also, add on the fact that the anbu are ranked higher than the police force, so they can't even arrest an anbu without a warrant. Btw I know the anbu are essentially the cia (as in they handle international conflicts rather than domestic ones within the village), but they still partake in handling emergencies within it as well, so their duties overlap a little with the police force.

The apparent purpose of the police force is to resolve domestic and minor incidents in the village, which I would argue is a waste of their power (considering they're one of the most powerful clans in the village). However, the actual purpose was to ostracize the Uchiha. Why else would the police force be exclusive to only the Uchiha? I'll give tobs the benefit of the doubt and say he really did have good intentions with creating the police force (even tho it's canon tobirama is prejudiced toward the Uchiha but oh well), but that doesn't change the result of the uchiha being ostracized. Ik he had no way of predicting the circumstances so don't come at me tobirama simps (jk you guys are great)

It's heavily implied that the village doesn't trust the Uchiha in serious cases (nine tails attack), so they stick them with simple tasks and monitor them on cameras (bc thats how you show a clan you trust them ig...). While launching a plan to overthrow the government is probably not the best way to deal with your grievances over the position your clan is in, that doesn't make the Uchiha entirely wrong for it (tho that's up for your personal interpretation). I personally think that it makes sense and they're justified in their way of thinking. They're Shinobi, it's not like every problem can be solved diplomatically.

Kinda got sidetracked but basically I'm saying the Uchiha didn't hold as much power as anti Uchiha lads think they did. Honestly this post was just based on a different post I saw that talked Abt how the Uchiha had a monopoly on village authority and I disagreed so I wrote an essay lol.

hmmm depends on why the darling is frightened tbh are they always afraid or is this started after cerelos took them the first time? i do imagine he'd be pretty upset and even offended, though he won't outwardly show his feelings. he'd probably start ordering the servants to disappear whenever the darling is in sight, be invisible, to further isolate them, to force them either to face their loneliness and/or accept cerelos as their emperor and husband. since humans are in nature social, they'd naturally long for some form of company and possibly some skin to skin contact.

in short, since the coecrced sex doesn't seem to do enough, cerelos would've likely infict some psychological damages on his darling to force them to accept him. he wouldn't be…physically abusive, no, but he will emotionally and mentally cripple his darling without relying on cruel words and uses some amount of gaslighting.

regardless, you will only have him and you will love him. he is, after all, your emperor and husband. why wouldn't you embrace him and his power?

The thing about aerith you just shared is fascinating. If we're going with the theme of " there's nothing I don't cherish" and the complete 180° of Zack's character with aerith in terms of stereotypes of heroism.

With Zack, Cloud cries for a good person. Someone he idolized.

With Aerith, cloud cries for uh not so good person (I'm being generous here). Someone he treated severely most of the time.

But both he was grateful for. Both he cried for. Just like with anything. Like, look at how he described jessie in Rebirth. We know she didn't treat him well but in cloud's perspective he was grateful for her reaching out to him. Giving him materia, inviting him with the gang for pizza. I think once wedge told him that she's just being a prick, he ended up being more relaxed about it. But you know what's up? He doesn't think of her romantically AT ALL. Not even a prospect even for a milisecond. She's actually very similar to the way aerith was written here btw.

But yes, long story short. He cherishes everything. Good and bad. But there's only one person he'll ever come to be attracted to and in love with. Tifa obviously duh.

But yeah, like you said, she's an awful person who so happens to be one of the "good guys" in the story. If a clumsy guy can be a hero (Cloud), if the perfect hero can be a hero (Zack), if the perfect heroine can be a hero (Tifa), then, the most questionable person can also be a hero (aerith).

Lol the Sibling energy going strong here, if you noticed what I mean 😂.

But overall, It fits. It's a game with the theme of LIFE in it. We meet so many people.

So in short Nojima is challenging us through aerith to see that. Don't lavish her with flowery words nor look at her through rose tinted glasses (puns intended). LOOK AT HER. She's a POS but she got friends who care for her. She may take them for granted A LOT but she will be there to help save the planet they live in. That's one way to look at it.

But Cloti is TOO KIND still lol. So they need better boundaries and standards for friendship.

Also low key aerith reminds me of gollum here. Gollum is ACTUALLY a hero himself. And if Frodo (cloti) didn't let him into their circle, but they did due to their kindness. They will never be able to kill sauron. So Gollum, by sheer greed and all. Bit Frodo's finger, catches the ring and falls with it. So if they never let aerith into the group, welcomed her with open arms, she wouldn't have been able to do her task and see to it as much as she can. Than alone.

That was long but yeah. Sorry to aerith fans since I compared her to gollum. But it has nothing to do with his looks, just the function he has in the story. And HE IS A VERY IMPORTANT CHARACTER.

That's what I think. What's interesting tho is at least Cloud has the interest and self awareness of knowing he doesn't or does but wanting to prove he deserves Tifa. The modernized Yamato Nadeshiko. Meanwhile aerith is the complete opposite. She just believes she's entitled to it regardless. Zack has uh, an interesting type I'd say. It cringes me he's into "city mouse" but notice the animal she's being compared to lmao. Tbh they're kind of the same in one aspect not only their upbeat personality. Zack would never bat an eye on her if she didn't had the same complexity she had with being weird and different. Same with aerith, she'd never care at all. This will never apply to cloud even if he ends up being a soldier, because he wants to be special afterall, he will never understand aerith and zack's insecurities. But Zack doesn't think being a soldier is special, he feels like a monster but still he wants to be a hero.

I mean nobody has any issues with Cait Sith, a literal Shinra spy, being a good guy. Nobody has issues with Vincent, a former turk who probably did a lot of questionable shit, being a good guy.

Cid also worked for Shinra and knew Ifalna and never tried to help her despite seeing her around Hojo's lab, but he's a good guy.

Everybody is a flawed hero, but Aerith's flaws are worse because hers cause harm to her own friends. Everybody else's personality flaws are external in nature and project outward towards other characters who aren't part of their group, but Aerith and Cait Sith's flaws project internally to the group. Cait gets ousted after betraying them and Aerith dies.

It's almost like those harmful to the greater good of the planet are removed from the party. Cait returns with a better attitude in a new robot body, but the one that betrayed them also dies.
