PART 2 OF THE MADDEST OBSESSION HEADCANNONS. BRINGING THIS BACK CUZ IF WE DON'T GET CONTENT, WE MAKE THE CONTENT.

Christian is ambidextrous.

Gianna is left-handed.

Gianna gives Christian forehead kisses and it melts him on the inside everytime.

Christian is a shoulder-kisser. Cuddling? Shoulder kiss. Washing dishes together? Shoulder kiss. Waking up next to her in the morning? Shoulder kiss. Thanking his wife for anything? Shoulder. Kiss.

Gianna calls Christian "malysh" in a horrible accent just to piss him off.

Other times she reverts to "Allister" but Christian just pulls her close to remind her (against her lips, ofcourse) that they are both "Allister" now.

They have three children.

On days Christian is away on a work trip, he wears Gianna's hairtie on his wrist.

Gianna picks up on Christian's habits after Kat is born and finds herself aligning things or setting them upright unknowingly when she is distracted or stressed.

Christian breaks a jammed door when he can't get to Gianna during a powercut.

Gianna tries to seduce Christian multiple times during her pregnancy it works everytime

Christian has run out at 3 in the morning and threatened a taco truck owner just to fulfil Gianna's cravings.

Gianna checks out Christian's ass so often even Kat makes a habit of tilting her head and whistling under her breath when her Father is not looking even though she doesn't understand why her Mother does it in the first place.

Christian is always outwardly displeased (inwardly, at peace) whenever he sees his brother getting along splendidly with his wife.

Gianna stops forcing Christian to eat the sweets she makes but it doesn't stop him from licking her finger clean off the batter.

Christian has mastered the art of cooking with one hand because his daughter always wants to be held.

Gianna foaming at the mouth is speechless when she wakes up one morning to see a freshly showered Christian with his hair dripping wet, holding Kat in one arm and flipping pancakes in the other.

Sometimes Christian pretends to be asleep when he can feel Gianna watching him but he almost always ends up biting her finger when she starts trailing it all over his face.

Gianna has woken up to Christian snuggling against her neck with his arms wrapped around her, deep in sleep, too many times to ruin it by telling him he cuddles her in his sleep.

Christian is a girldad. Whatever his girls want, his girls get.

For his birthday, Gianna gets a number 3 tattooed on the inside of her ring finger.

For her birthday, Christian tells her another secret he's never told anyone else.

He's found happiness. Her.

Finished the second book the other day. Dreamworks please puss in boots this shit I'll give you a million dollars I regret to inform you that my smekday moment is turning into a smekday hyperfixation (⁠~⁠_⁠~⁠;⁠) oops. Sorry to all my followers who are probably Very confused dw I'm right there with you.

Funsize wasn't in it as much as I hoped he'd be, but I liked him a lot. I wanted to see how he'd look in the Dreamworks style. I also made him look a bit more roughed up and grimy than he is in the book, for character design as well as adding oomph to his arc even if it's short. Since this takes place 2 years later, I gave J.LOh the hoodie he had in at the end of TMOS. it's cute.

One day he took the wrong tunnel coming back to the trash pit, which ended with him getting sucked into a paper shredder. Even though he managed to hear it and slow down, he was going headfirst, and one of his siphons got caught in the blades. His arm also got caught when he instinctively reached out to stop his fall.

Like most adaptations, Home included, I did not so much headcanons or fic as a slightly alternate take on Funsize.

The idea was that after Bish left, he got cocky with his excursions. He quit using/making his maps under the assumption that he knew the ducts well enough, but you only have to be unlucky once.

The blades were short and they don't have arteries in their arms (headcanon that in a nutshell, boov can't bleed out unless an artery is hit. Their veins contract reflexively when exposed to dry air, but their arteries can't are you feeling the autism yet), so it wasn't fatal, but FS did get cut up pretty bad. He was blinded in one eye, and his siphon is unable to grow back due to his generally poor health living in an underground landfill. Even if FS improved his health somehow, he'd still have to remove the scar tissue, which is extremely painful without surgery especially for wounds this extensive.

Funsize's siphon has its own slew of problems. His balance is terrible, and since it's basically torn down the middle, clipping it shut isn't really an option. Mostly, he just steals various antiseptic/saline products from people's houses if he can find any, but he still gets sick from time to time.

FS learned his lesson though, he's very careful when venturing out, and he built the little hover stools as a safeguard if he does fall down the wrong way again. He’s still bitter abt everything (and maybe a little unstable tbh) but thankfully, he’s an optimist.

What are These Symbols in TDP?

seen in context of Aaravos, on startouch elf/celestial elf clothing, etc.

And, what do they imply for deep magic, star magic, and S6?

Let's call them First Elf Glyphs...

Short story: 1. They’re on Aaravos, TMO, startouch concept art, and celestial elves garments. 2. They’re tied to the deep magic symbol. Them being on startouch and celestial elves garments signifies the celestial elves were taught deep magic, or know the ties between star and deep magic in some way, Aaravos may have taught deep magic to the celestial elves or the humans due to the symbols place on the page. 3. they might be emblazoned spells because moonshadow swirlies were also used as spells (Runaan’s dance to activate his engravings, the ancient dance at the old moon nexus to open the gate between life and death) & 4. Startouch elves=First Elves + They remind me of the First One’s runes from She ra (which form words hence, glyphs.) If nothing else, this is a compilation of where they’re found.

Long story: First, why they’re relevant:

They're in Callum's sketchbook, a page we also briefly see on screen in a book regarding Aaravos.

This page in particular seems significant because it also connects to the eclipse imagery, and the half eaten/crescent moon which I believe both dictate important events but that's a theory for another day.

But by proxy, these symbols pique my interest. I feel like they're significant somehow,

a. we know swirlies carved into materials ie Runaan’s horn cuffs and dances on the ground can have significance as spells

b. we see them on Startouch garments:

-> Aaravos's cloak.

(which, as @kradogsrats pointed out, these shapes but the cloak especially imo looks like falling stars)

->Aaravos's tabard/skirt, front and back.

->Merciful One likely has similar aspects on their clothing, based on the similarities in their design to Aaravos.

->Aaravos's and Merciful one's tunics (example of above)

->the line arcing above the circle in the tunic is reminiscent of the signature celestial elf blindfold.

->And if we take a closer look, we see that Astrid is wearing similar garb to the startouch elves. So these lines can likely be considered first elf glyphs too.

We also see it on the concept art for Aaravos.

Every single version, save for the one on the far right, has some variation of these lines and circles (or at the very least, lines and diamonds for the earlier ones on the left).

This one doesn’t but it does have these constellations, which the symbols also seem to connect to.

->Lastly, Aaravos's hood...

It's tied, of course, to the deep magic symbol--that strange uneven sun shape we've seen several places so far.

Speculation Time

So, these glyphs seem to be tied to deep magic and the startouch elves in general. I'll get back to that in a second.

But first, (and I understand this is a more superficial connection) it's interesting because they reminded me of She Ra’s “First Ones” language and imagery too:

I find this especially relevant since Startouch elves also seem to be called the First Elves and this is confirmed by what Rayla says in S5: “In ancient legends, Startouch elves are sometimes called the First Elves.”

+ The First Elves had to have differentiated into the rest of the elves, and as it’s suggested and @random-fandom-ramble pointed out, “old magic” / deep magic is the root for primal magic. + as Aaravos may have mastered deep magic to master all 6 sources, Startouch elves are more likely to have mastery of deep magic / it seems like if you understand star magic, it’s easier to understand deep magic. So deep magic and star magic are inextricably connected, as are these related glyphs.

Hence, First Elf glyphs.

But why are they on the celestial elves' garb, what does that tell us?

While the celestial elves are said to be an "ancient" group of Skywing elves, it's unlikely they're as old as the First Elves themselves, so it's possible that Aaravos or another Startouch elf had a connection to them, passing down his knowledge. Plus, we're supposed to get a speech in S6 about Deep magic too. Could it be a flashback to him teaching these elves about deep magic?

Or, maybe some other Startouch elf founded it to begin with, to protect their knowledge when they left Xadia, leaving only "the last of the Great Ones," aka Aaravos. Maybe Aaravos and the Merciful One worked on it together.

But also, they specifically surround the image of the darkened star. Not a normal star. A fallen star--Aaravos. And it's next to the poem about Elarion. Could it be suggesting that Aaravos was the one to teach humanity these things about dark magic? Again- speech.

Perhaps. But there are other things to speculate on too, like

Do these glyphs serve a purpose? Why are they on these clothes?

A. emblazoned spells-> Maybe it's like the swirlies Ethari engraves into metal, such as Runaan's armor, as @beautifulterriblequeen said in their theory. Passive spell of protection, magic boost or some activatable spell in general? A spell of protection or durability seems more plausible as the part of the tunic underneath isn't frayed whereas the translucent part on top is (unless that's just for silly character design reasons) ....no! No silly character design reasons.... They write the show for us detail oriented people

-> strengthens their connection with deep magic/star magic

Alternatively, it:

B. signifies status in some way

->some lines and shapes may indicate higher/lower status

C. allows Startouch elves to connect with each other in some way

->like the headcanon I’ve heard of stars on skin glittering in a sort of morse code for startouch elves to communicate since space is a vacuum!

Anyways. Even if the Dragon Prince doesn't yet seem to have coherent constructed languages... I’m still hoping there’s going to be explanations later in-show or some way of deciphering these or finding a pattern in them.

The similarity to First Ones writing especially makes me think this will possibly have more significance than other glyphs. Perhaps we'll even find out their true meaning or even exact translation.

But... if nothing else, they're still used to draw these connections, between startouch and celestial, between star and deep, etc, that may be elaborated on more explicitly in the show. Hopefully we find out soon!

Take(me)out Fun Facts

I always forget to make posts on the Make Posts webbed site. So in honor of TMO hitting 200k for some godforsaken reason, here's some fun facts about TMO:

TMO has been completely laid out since before the story started, and the reason it's being posted so quickly is because I literally know exactly what I'm doing with every chapter and don't have to back-write much because I've already worked out the kinks. The crumbs y'all find in early chapters were dropped by whole loaves of bread, leading to the finish line.

Cloud and Sephiroth's POVs are intentionally written in their Advent Children voices, and I have them slowly begin to adapt to the people around them, adopting new tone and grammar-use over the years.

I write most of this fic in a notebook at work, and type it up on a laptop on my breaks.

The average chapter length of TMO was supposed to be 2k. The current average length of chapters (as of chapter 22) sits around 9k. Everyone I told who I insisted the chapters would be 2k not only told me on the spot that there was no way I could only write 2k, but they are still laughing at me. (In a good way.)

Sephiroth strikes me as Autistic.

Aside from the gym locker room, I've gone to reasonable lengths to ensure that things are canon compliant to either the OGFF7 or FF7R because I like going places people don't expect with canon.

I wait to put art in until there's a good scene for it.

There are three events that change the narrative/tone/genre of the story. Two are immediately preceded by Interlude chapters, and the last is a kiss.

ok anyway regular outfits!

santana tends to gravitate towards sporty but comfortable streetwear? like here, sports bras/graphic tees and sweatpants, stuff like that. occasionally she'll switch it up to jeans and a leather jacket (the rosa diaz aesthetic) but only when she's going out. her style doesn't really change much when she's at home, but i reckon she has stolen at least one of finn's shirts and/or hoodies and wears those in bed or when she's feeling particularly homesick

kurt likes to dress well, even if he's working on stuff at home, so he'll usually be wearing a button up and unnecessarily tight pants. cardigans if he wants to feel nice and cozy. if he's sewing and knows he'll be working for hours, he'll wear short sleeves so they don't get in the way. if he's just chilling, he will 100% switch to sth much comfier like sweatpants and those like,,, super thin hoodies he wears in s4? like the one he's wearing when he meets cassie july? i spent ages looking for any gifsets with that specific scene and i cant find a single one smh my head but yeah hopefully u get the picture

finn is a simple not very fashionable man. large shirts, sweatpants or basketball shorts and he is happy. he also tends to dress like s4 teacher!finn with soft warm neutral colours, oversized sweaters, etc. kinda similar to reid in criminal minds but lighter brown colours. it was 100% kurt's influence that made him dress better when he started teaching i don't make the rules here

britt sometimes dresses similarly to santana's sport streetwear but with much brighter colours. in general tho her style is probably the most inconsistent of them all, because she just wears whatever she feels like wearing. in every single video she has posted to youtube (aside from vb practice/travel stuff), all of her outfits are wildly different from one another. at home, she is a big fan of pyjama pants with lil animals/prints or plaid, and will combine it with completely differently-patterned tshirts. kurt is simultaneously horrified and charmed

sugar is rich and it shows. she'll wear casual chic stuff but in very bright colours (pink-orange-yellow usually) and it's all very fashionable and expensive and i love it for her. she's a big fan of accessories, too. at home she sticks with that colour palette but will have a lot of like,,, fluffy stuff? fluffy socks, fluffy sweaters/hoodies with lil animal ears, fluffy sweatpants, you name it and she probably has it. there is fuzz everywhere. bright coloured fuzz everywhere you look. you can't escape it

quinn's aesthetic is very cottagecore. if she weren't a pro athlete living in a big city, you'd think she was some sort of gentle forest spirit. lots of pastel/floral dresses, skirts and blouses, very much the opposite of what she's like on the court. at home its just like,,, sweatpants, college tees, very comfort-based. she is way too exhausted to care what she wears at home so she'll just throw on whatever is clean

tina's style is kind of a cross between sugar's and quinn's, in a way? she's one of the more fashion-conscious girls; she leans more towards dresses than sug does but with earthier tones? also,,, idk how to explain this better so like,, look up mondrian and you'll probably see a bunch of these paintings,,, she would wear dresses that have this kind of aesthetic too. at home she'd probably dress similar to quinn - sweats/leggings, tshirts (but not oversized)

as you have probably noticed, i rarely draw the girls in anything other than their vb uniforms and that's just cause im too lazy for patterns. that and i like drawing them when they're playing so i gravitate towards the uniforms anyway lol but seriously i hate patterns and i should practice them more

Calais - this is the city in France where Paige and Warden are staying, I believe. prolly just getting acclimated and being adorable and domestic!

A New Oath - hmm. Pretty clueless on this one, one possible nugget is that it could be a reference to Paige’s initial branding of loyalty to the Rephaim? Perhaps Warden and Paige discussing their relationship and reestablishing their attachment to one another on more equal terms? (I’m clearly desperate for Paige and Warden content)

The Mask Rises - damn… so if the “mask” in this metaphor is Scion’s facade about clairvoyance that excludes the Rephaim, then this seems to refer to Scion doubling down, extending their control, etc., whereas later in the book the mask will “fall” and Scion will have to change their public face due to the Rephaim possibly making themselves known…

Waltz of the Anchor - Shit is probably going down! Anchor obviously refers to Scion, so “waltz of the anchor” is the dance the government is doing to obscure the reality of their rule. 

The Devil - oh shit, not this again! The Song Rising suggested that The Devil in Paige’s card-reading refers to the darkness within her that she has to resist. If this still holds, maybe she is confronted with her darker impulses again? I don’t see her turning evil though. Maybe The Devil is not referring to what we thought it was? Maybe someone betrays her?

Retribution - Uh-oh…. This is the end of the book, so shit is definitely going down! Probably lots of plot twists and moves and countermoves with Scion and the Rephaim. I get the vibe Paige has a big victory towards the end and then it all goes south real quick…

And I Breathed In - Damn. Sounds super apocalyptic. Been thinking about the ending and what apocalyptic shit might go down. This makes me imagine Paige being very nearly destroyed and then regaining consciousness. Could be that her spirit is trapped, or she’s physically captured, brought to the netherworld?? Or maybe I’m completely off base and it’s just an unrelated apocalyptic moment. Aghhhhhh I’m so worried!!

Remember the 16 baby SecUnits AU? Well, we’ve done a deep dive into SecUnit sport and we want them to play rugby sevens. If they rope in Murderbot or Three + ART there’s enough for two sides (no substitutes) + line judges + ref + TMO.

It’s very spectacular.

Notes: I think this is a legal play; the unit in the air has been yeeted by its teammate, but did not have the ball at the time of yeeting. It’s being passed to it out of the breakdown. I don’t think this showcases good play; the defence, also being SecUnits, should have expected something like this. But I have my limits as a speculative rugby artist.

ok was too tired to write this up last night but my final kaiba review per usual i shall go from most to least ugly attributes first of all visuals no one can afford to trust an art style like that lol not the one for the main characters but vanilla etc dear god no thank yew the racism was very distracting and disturbing and made it hard to focus until he was out of the plot and if it wasnt just 12 eps i might've stopped for that. criticism hard stop and no excuses or explanations can be made for smth like this

2) structurally hmmmmhmmhm mixed feelings..so much if not most of the show seems designed to make u feel distanced from a sense of space and time so that it all blends together a bit and its kind of hard to go beyond the snippets of narrative youre given and this is the kind of sentence that makes sense to me rn but if i reread this tmo i would have no fucking clue what it meant so i will try to explain for instance i think its very hard to have strong feelings abt the timeline of events pre-story when they are all drawn like that like everyone involved here seems to be an adult according to the story right but like all i am saying is if everyone in kaiba looked like an actual normal adult design i think the once was a dictator but now is not so bad actually arc would be much easier to reject if that makes sense like u could feel a more clear connection to the passage of time and the fact that warp took his sweet time achieving the corruption his power brought him and so on and so forth WHICH IS ALSO JUST. LEFT SOOO UNCLEAR IM CRAZY. LIKE WHAT HAPPENED... ACQUIRED MOMMY ISSUES... -> APOCALYPSE..? THAT HE ENDED... 3) the thing this inevitably leads me to tho is like how much does this necessarily matter tho bc design choices in plot structure and visuals were all intentional its absolutely not supposed to feel particularly grounded in reality and it has a very unmistakable fairy tale quality to it that makes me inclined in some ways to forgive the things that frustrate me bc that was just the story they were trying to tell and it was still affecting in that form idk conflicts conflicts... bc also u know.. what zero was saying um the politics of whatever the fuck was going on with popo im just scratching my head anyone care to explain miss madhouse

4) but now we can get to nice words that shit did get to me so bad wtf chroniko .... chroniko.................. mannnn i did love so much of it a lot a lot wrt the basic plot w memories the art the symbolism the music the animation love and friendship and gender my god the amount of gender... going insane. 4 me the very clearcut prominent issues i did have with it complicate the idea of recommending it i don't rly know what i would say but i still thought the show was very beautiful and overall i did rly enjoy it and am glad to have seen it :)

October 11th...

...is when Book of Travels is coming out.  But I’m in the beta test (I thought I’d missed it; I hadn’t) on my slow computer.  This is okay for me -- the game is meant to be slow and contemplative.  A TMO (Tiny Multiplayer Online) game, it’s also designed to minimize player contact (unless, of course, you want to, and there are also things to do in the world that require multiple people, such as activating certain wards and stuff), so for an introvert like me, it’s a dream scenario: I can, and have, met people with whom I wanted to form a party, and I have avoided everyone else.

Plus, the art is absolutely amazing. (I’ve posted about this before, but I just can’t get over it.) 

An intriguing aspect of this game is that you can’t communicate with full text; you have images (”emotes”) that you can click on that then emit from your character, and you can string them together to ask questions, or make recommendations or statements.   So you have to learn the visual language, and be creative (unless you use an additional tool like Discord, of course).

In this Second Age of Making, they’ve added tons of new assets.  Like steam boats!  Eee!  I’m a really boring beta-tester -- right now, I’m playing my standard character class (”The Dimmed”) with the same TOW AU story as before: Æthel has gotten shunted into the world of the Braided Shore and is now wandering the world searching for Max and Aurelia.

I should also make Max as a character, since there is a character class that has a companion child (though I don’t think that one has been made available in the second beta yet tho).

Oh, and the music is glorious.  It really is a relaxing and zen game to play, and very narrative-driven.  Hard core combat types like DH would hate it, but I love it.

Yours Alone

This is my first writing a short story that wasn’t for English class and that was just for myself. I am trying to use creative writing as a way to improve and expand my art, as a means of creating plots and improving my storytelling skills. Getting my mind into a place where I can see the whole picture and tell a story.

Sometimes I think about the Old World and what it must’ve been like, things changed very suddenly a long time ago. It was generations ago, so it’s not like I know much about it, but I often find Old Things and make up stories about them. There are stories too, told by mothers to their children. They say things were smaller; animals and plants. Bees were the size of your thumb and flowers didn’t grow bigger than a hand. I don’t know if I believe those, it seems too far fetched. It’s fun to think about though, and I find myself thinking about it when I’m not thinking about collecting, or about her.

She also takes up many of my thoughts, especially when I’m away from her as I am off finding and collecting. I remember when we first met. I was alone a lot back then. My parents chose to live away from villages, instead deciding to travel on their own. I had never seen another person besides them until I was ten years old.

I had been wandering a bit too far from camp and came close to a village. That’s where I saw her. She was a ggirl about my age, but so completely different. Her skin was dark like rich soil and her hair was cut short,  close to her head. Very different compared to my pale complexion and shaggy hair I tied out of my face. She was so graceful as well, she was dancing and playing with a few other girls, her skirt flowing with her movement. And then she laughed, and  it was the most incredible thing I had ever heard; I was completely enthralled. I left before she saw me and went back to camp.

It would be a few more years until I would see her again. By then I had met many more people and visited quite a few villages, joining my parents as I was old enough to help collect. I had become very good at collecting; I could forage and hunt, and I knew what Old Things were useful or valuable. I would go out collecting in the wilds and bring things back to the villages to trade. I would always trade for things from the women, since I liked them a lot and they knew how to make things I couldn’t. They’ve been the ones who make all my clothes, salves, pockets, and various equipment.

I even remember the kind crone who took the body of the first moth I ever took down, turning it into an amazing cloak that I still wear to this day. It had been quite a day when I came across the huge moth; I don’t hunt much, but moth pelts are so soft and durable, and the meat is amazing too. The auntie took the moth and, in exchange for some of the meat, offered to make my cloak. They made some very delicious stew from it.

After a few years of collecting and trading I found myself back at the village where I first saw her. I was still fairly young—  maybe fourteen, it’s hard to remember exactly— but I was mostly living on my own by then. I did my usual routine, going to the houses and talking to mothers and grandmothers, trading, getting to know people. That was my favourite part of collecting, talking to people.

Afterwards, I went to the market. It was a delight to find that this village was big enough to hold one, since  a marketplace is a great place to trade both wares and gossip. I headed to the marketplace, and that’s where I saw her. I had almost forgotten her, just barely escaping my memory. She had a stall selling flowers and herbs with her mother, in exchange for things like eggs or soap, and Old Things on occasion. I didn’t particularly need flowers or herbs, but I knew I needed to talk to her. I traded some Old Things for some dried chamomile; I could make into a pain relieving tea that I estimated would come in handy around the new moon .

Even after those years, she was still stunning. Her hair was longer and  resembled a cloud. Mine was still tied up, but I had gotten an undercut for the summer. We talked and I told her about some of my things and where I had gotten them. When I somehow made her laugh I felt my legs turn into pudding. Eventually I had to go, and while that was disappointing I knew that I had work to do, given there’s never been many collectors in the area. She said she wanted to see me again and that she hoped it was soon. My heart swelled.

I came back sooner than I usually would, just to see her. I cannot describe the way she lit up when she saw me, with a smile so bright I almost couldn’t look at her. She was so glad I came back, saying she was hoping I’d be back so she could hear the stories of my adventures once again. She loved them, even if they didn’t seem all that exciting to me; there were no tales of me epically slaying beasts with my big strong muscles, save for that one moth that I had turned into my dear cloak. It simply wasn’t really my style to resort to pure muscles alone, which I do in fact have, thank you very much. No, most of my stories were just me foraging in far away places and places people simply didn’t like.  Some of those scavenging trips were through Old World ruins for Old Things. All of the Useful Things are easy to trade, and I particularly like the Interesting Things you can find; buttons, jewelry, pictures, and any other strange items that I think are neat. I told her some of the stories I made up for them, of the people that used to own them and the world they came from. She laughed at the idea of tiny bees. Not even the larva of a bee is small enough to fit on a finger, much less an actual bee.

As time went on I came back more often, and she knew when I would come and would wait for me. We spent more and more time together, and I would bring her things I would find. In turn she would cook for me and give me a place to stay. The years went on and I knew I was hers, though I don’t think she’s mine. She has so many people who love her. I, on the other hand,  didn’t have much family to begin with, and when my parents passed away she was there for me.

That night I cried in her arms and became someone only for her. I think I was hers alone for a long time, since the first time I saw her smile.

I’m on my way back to see her now. I’ve been away longer than usual; I knew that before I left. As I’m approaching the village, the familiar smell of wildflowers and chimney smoke wafts through the air, filling my lungs. It’s getting late with the sun is just past the horizon. I can see her now, and as she calls my name on the outskirts of the town  I’m already home.

“ You were gone such a long time this time around,” she says to me. “Are you tired? I’ve run a bath if you want to join me.”

I can feel the swell of emotions trying to well up behind my eyes. She means so much to me, from her laugh, to her personality, to her hands I take in my own. “You know I’m yours alone, right?”

She smiles like a sunbeam. “Of course. And I am only yours.”
