Done with Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana and it was surprisingly good. (Ys is very strange series for me)

(it was way better than tocs2, which I played last year. tocs3&4 still waiting)

Starts very slow, but then builds up by the course of the game. (The ending of chapter 2 is so unexpected, wtf) (good)

Some gameplay was.. not for me (raids).

The island is enormous even with teleports.

The villagers and your party members are good and the interactions with them makes the game shine.

All the parts about Dana were so good (unexpected), even though the design of their clothes is so awful (especially Danas)

The ending is very anime in a good way.

Enjoined the game overall.

Steam said I played 47h, but it feels longer. 👀

Well, I feel like Tumblr could've eaten a few of 'em right up since this site is far from functional, but I have a feeling it's mostly just on my part.

In all honestly, I have been receiving tons of them just fine, but it's only just recently that I've had time to even look at them since I got on vacation a few days ago. I've been meaning to answer them, but I've been mentally exhausted (mostly from screaming about poor decisions and half-regrets that I've piled up) and kinda overwhelmed, but I should be back on track eventually. Just need a bit more unwinding time.

But I'm sorry y'all for only answering a few asks outta the blue and just ignoring the rest, I'll do my best from here on out!!!

i like endings that show the lingering effects of a story (lotr, tocs2) and i like endings that let you extrapolate what's gonna happen next without feeling the need to wrap everything up neatly (nier automa.ta, collateral) and there's so many things where im like this ended too early or too late. this is all an excuse for me to say once again that nar.uto should absolutely have ended at chapter 698

Not particularly.

These are the three main things influencing the story for this AU:

Shadowbringers. Obviously.

And TOCS2/Tales of Berseria for other elements of the story, not so much MGSV.

Cold Steel 2:

Grabs the entirety of the build up we experienced in CS1 and uses it as fuel for every single hour, minute, and second of its playtime. It escalates and escalates and escalates some more. It takes every little thing you lived through in CS1 and gives it meaning.

Has even more gameplay mechanics that don’t become overwhelming or cluttered, or, in other words, adds to an already very good formula and makes it even better.

The music is out of this world. I can’t link anything because the thumbnails are HEAVY SPOILERS for people that haven’t finished CS1, but my GOD its tunes go Hard.

It’s more challenging than 1 without veering into Bullshit Difficulty. Your Blood Will Be Set Ablaze.

Rean retains his title of Heavyweight Good Boy Champion. You get to see him be an even Gooder Boy.

NEW OUTFITS. You can use the uniforms if you want but everyone’s bringing their actual street clothes now.

Jesus CHRIST the endgame is simply out of this world.

There’s a character in the game named Duvalie The Swift who is absolutely but-gustingly hilarious and she is, by herself, a selling point.

You’ll make Dreamer (me!) very happy (very!) if you play it.

And so we finally witness the end to this wretched fairy tale... TBH when I got my copy I immediately played the game until I finished it lmao no time for taking pics whatsoever. The wait was so unbearable ugh I just have to know what happened after the events of the 3rd game! 🤣 Thank you so much @nihonfalcom1981 for making these games, and @xseedgames & @nisamerica for bringing these to the West! I can't even count how many times these games made me cry though. 😭 From great story telling, to loveable characters and side characters, this series is just truly amazing. 😍 Hoping for more The Legend of Heroes games coming to the West *wink* Hajimari no Kiseki and Zero no Kiseki Kai and the upcoming Kuro no Kiseki *wink* 😉 I also have dedicated playlists of my Trails of Cold Steel playthroughs.
