Under the Banner of Lenin, Under the Leadership of Stalin, Forward to the Victory of Communism!, by Iraklii Toidze, 1949.
The godlike worship of Communist elites appears the most ironic twist of Soviet communism. The writings of Lenin were treated as sacred text from a prophet and became the final justification of any act. Lenin's embalming further played on the Russian Orthodox belief that the bodies of saints decompose at a slower rate. Placing Lenin under glass in a state of suspended animation directly replicated the display of the bodies of saints in monasteries throughout Russia. In turn, Soviet officials violently opposed the display of saints and argued that their bodies were actually frauds made of wax; to prove their point, Soviets exhumed the bodies of saints and performed tests to determine their true consistency. Meanwhile, the waxy corpse of Lenin served as a "genuine" replacement. When Yugoslavian Vice-President Milovan Djilas visited Lenin's tomb in the 1940s, he observed the following: "as we descended into the Mausoleum, I saw how simple women in shawls were crossing themselves as though approaching the reliquary of a saint." Stalin also promoted himself as the "Father" of his people, applying the full force of the Soviet media to repeating the message that he alone could protect Soviet citizens from the evils of the world. During his reign, citizens were consistently admonished to "Be Like Stalin!" and for a time after Stalin's death it was suggested that he be made an "eternal member" of numerous Soviet organizations. In this way, Soviets elevated political figures to transcendental status unbecoming of the initial rhetoric of historical materialism.

i was given an invitation paper(1, 2, 4th pictures) and i wanted to find out more about Nino Tsereteli so i went to google and found a post with history of her. my translation skills from georgian are a bit bad but here is some information about her:
Short introduction
Born 13 october 1902, Tbilisi.
She graduated from Tbilisi Academy of Arts in 1928. her teacher was Jacob Nikoladze. She worked primarily in the genre of portrait.
She was a very talented person, of free thinking. Her profession was "unwomanlike" - she was a sculptress and worked as hard as a bee. Nino Tseretelis spouse was Shalva Amiranashvili, he was an academic and studied art. Sculptor Jacob Nikoladze's favorite disciple worked in the 20-30s of the last century, in ussr, she worked in an avant-garde style.
Unfortunately, most of her creations are lost. In our generation, her name is forgotten.
The first sculpture and torso
In 1927, Nino Tsereteli participatee in the exhibition of the Georgian artist's society. The portrait she made of a friend, which was also sent to the exhibition of Georgian artists in Moscow in the same year, had positive reviews on it. After that, as a recognized sculptress, she participated in all the exhibitions of the republic. Her first work was a bas-relief, where she sculpted a man. In 1927, she sculpted a woman's torso. Since art of women's bodies was not accepted, by doing this Nino took a bold step. No one knows who was the model or reference for her sculpture. Nino Tsereteli created "Svan Man" and "Svan Woman", by comission of the Georgian museum in 1932, Kote Marjanishvili's bust - in 1934.
Theatrical plays
Nino Tsereteli has also been in charge of several theatrical plays. For the first time, with the painter Petre Ocxel, she worked on Shakespeare's "Othello". She has also tried her skills in theaters decorative painting. In 1931, in a theater with a teenager audience, she first operated the play "in a distant way". In 1931-1932, for "Wilhelm Tell" in the State Opera Theater, with painter Soliko Virsaladze, she has made sketches of the costumes.
Death
"Time is running and what i have the wish to do, I can not do." - Nino Tsereteli often repeated these words. In 17th february of 1939, at the age of 36, she died of blood poisoning. When she passed away, her youngest son was four months old, and the oldest was two years old. Nino Tsereteli was buried at the Kukia cemetery.
