Recently, my friends got me into actual cardboard Magic: the Gathering and decided to make myself some tokens for my main deck.
So here are some wolves, based largely on Indian wolves and my pet Runa.
Let me know what you think!
And, if you're interested, you can find my portfolio here, with all the links to my social media and commissions page.

Hi fives for Making Voja, Jaws of the Conclave. Wolves have needed a naya commander for a long time, and Voja was a great character choice and solid design.
I also love that, in the same set, we also get an amazing Tolsimir, which will slot into my Tolsimir wolf commander deck very nicely.
Glad you enjoy it.

Tolsimir did it
He knew about Teysa's death way too early. Like Kaya had just left the agency, and the ghosts wouldn't have told anyone.
He was at the party, talking to two of the (intended) victims (Teysa and Aurelia)
Etrata was wearing Selesnya threads. There's no way he wouldn't have noticed
The hammer assassin had white fur on his coat, likely from one of the Ledev Guardian wolves (if not Voja himself)
This seemed to be the most important piece of evidence, if Proft's reaction is anything to go by
Also, after this evidence was discovered, someone released the mole god in the evidence room. This was the only real piece of physical evidence that could be there.
Eating a seed and turning into moss is a very Selesnya spin on the classic cyanide capsule
Assassins are being brainwashed using psychoactive pollen, again in the Selesnya wheelhouse.
I don't have a motive yet, but it's absolutely him.

Griffnaut Tracker (Murders at Karlov Manor No. 17, Illus. Svetlin Velinov)
One area of Ravnica worldbuilding that I often find myself wondering about are the city's "outskirts." As far as we know, the plane of Ravnica is entirely covered by city. But even in modernmetropolises, the city limits usually include some parts that are not as built up as the center, or borderline countryside (like the mountainous western part of Tokyo prefecture). So could it be similar on Ravnica?
Most Ravnica sets are set within the tenth district, which is essentially the heart of the city - so the backgrounds are usually filled with buildings. However, there have been some instances where the environment seem less urban. Take this forest from Return to Ravnica, for example. It looks like the central districts are off in the distance, and the part that is shown here is slightly tending towards the "rural" side. This mountain from the same set also seems to show the city center giving way to a low-rise surburbia kind of region.
In MKM, there are another few examples: This forest, this Island, this Plains. Going by how Ravnica is usually portrayed, you'd expect to see a mass of huge spires on the horizon, but the sky is mostly empty here, and the buildings that are there are around four stories tall at their highest point. The art for Tolsimir, Midnight's Light also shows him standing in what seems to be an empty field (although since Vitu-Ghazi is visible in the distance, I suppose this is a smaller area that was leveled during the Phyrexian invasion).
The background on Griffnaut Tracker seems to give us another glimpse at "rural Ravnica." There's a huge spire and some city blocks on the right, but in the left, beyond the Selesnya Guildgate, you can see meadows and natural hills, with a river slowly winding through them. Clouds are obscuring the horizon, so I guess one could argue that this is supposed to show a big park, not the countryside. But it doesn't really look like a Selesnyan park, does it? If that was the case, I'd expect to see a lot more landscaping, trees and groves interwoven with architecture, etc. The background right here just looks like a stretch of not-built-over land that's maybe maintained by a few rangers.
Of course, I don't think Griffnaut Tracker (or any of the basic lands I mentioned) confirm the existence of a "rural Ravnica." It's still fully speculative at this point. However, I do like the idea that there are far-off parts of the city where the plane almost retains some of its original, natural surface. Having fringes like that makes the setting a bit more realistic/diverse. It's something that would be nice to see explored a bit in future visits to the plane - even if it's just in the background like here.

Etrata still lives, Tolsimir remains dead, the finale was all Kaya.
Still, Alquist made good on his quip about making Etrata his assistant.
Now I need a team-up card of these two.

“Say, Aresaan, mind lending me your light for a moment?”
“Again, Ossett? Be quick about it.”
The angel complied, flapping her wings to bolster their fading glow. Before her, an armored minotaur took advantage of the light now flooding the alleyway to hastily scribble down a word on the sheet of paper in her hand.
“‘D-I-E-G-E-T-I-C.’ Thanks a million!” Ossett chimed, as she tapped her pencil’s eraser against the paper. “I swear, I must’ve spent fifteen minutes trying to figure that one out. This is a hard crossword!”
“What a waste of time,” Aresaan muttered.
“Oh, quit it. You wouldn’t give me any light if you really didn’t want me to do this.”
“That’s…hmm…”
Ossett returned her attention to her crossword as Aresaan fell silent. She hummed a low tone while pondering the answer to another question, prompting the angel’s eye to twitch in frustration.
“It’s ‘Tolsimir,’” Aresaan managed, through gritted teeth.
“Ah, that’s it! Thanks a…”
Ossett up at Aresaan. The angel had been staring intently at her crossword, but upon being noticed by her partner, quickly leaned back with feigned disinterest.
“I thought you were just saying this was a waste of-”
“I was,” Aresaan grunted defensively. “And, it is. That’s why I’m helping. So you get done with it faster. And so…a commanding officer doesn’t walk by and see us neglecting our patrol for…this!”
Ossett gave her partner a knowing smirk before returning to her crossword. “If you say so.”
“I do! I do say- Er, ‘zino,’ not ‘zibs.’”
Aresaan pointed down at Ossett’s crossword. This earned a quiet laugh from the minotaur, who had been about to write down the wrong answer.
“Thanks again, Aresaan! Say, you’re pretty good at this!”
“…Thanks.”
Just then, the light from Aresaan’s wings began to dim once more. Before she could flap to re-brighten them, however, Ossett raised a glowing fist to illuminate the paper, much to the angel’s chagrin.
“Wait. You-”
“I thought you would appreciate the chance to answer a few!”
“…Thanks.”
“Welcome!”

Smash or Pass: Tolsimir?
Eh, pass. I don't really know him at all, personality-wise, and tbh elves have always been a bit too "we gave them a tiny cosmetic change so technically they're not human" for me. All in all, there's just nothing to pique my interest here.
(…I would ask if I can pet Voja, though. I doubt he'd say yes, but nothing ventured, nothing gained.)
