If you can't see the color coding, open the link to this post in a web browser and not the mobile app. Did not color code the translation section simply because it would've been A Big Mess because 1) eng and jpn aren't 1=1; they're not always going to line up 2) formatting on tumblr takes ass years

As you've probably already noticed, in the ChroNoiR video, there's English sprinkled throughout. That English is a direct translation of the song's lyrics. Those felt mechanically-translated (to me anyways) and wasn't a full translation of the song. so it made me :(

All I did was fix up that mechanical translation and translate the parts that weren't written :)

敵わないな、君の笑顔に - translated as I really am no match for your smile. i cannot explain 敵わない in a few words, it's like "when your loved one/oshi smiles at you and youre like. ah. my heart cannot take this. im going to die (emotionally) / aka how a stan twt feels after seeing their oshi". thats what it means

ユートピア, katakana for utopia. a utopia is a place of ideal perfection; in this case- them laughing together among the starry sky

ユーフォリア, katakana for euphoria. It's a feeling of well-being or elation; in other words happiness

speaking of wording in this song, i would like to take this moment to appreciate natsushiro-san for the amount of 叶 and they put in the lyrics for this song. 叶 is the kanji written for kanakana's name; it means a wish/prayer/etc. to come true; to be fulfilled

oh yeah. lets talk about the title because I Love Astronomy

Geminids is a meteor shower that was discovered sometime in 1862, the constellation it's in is Gemini and it's near Castor (a star in Gemini). I think this is common knowledge, but Gemini is latin for twins.

At the bridge of the song, it shows a casket, two of them actually and the text 0 years ago, with the zero going up until the end of the bridge, it stops at 150 years ago. Geminids, the meteor shower, was discovered sometime in 1862; which is about 150 years ago.

Furthermore, according to a JP user in the comment section (空耳), Kuzuha once answered a question asking how old he was and he answered "I don't know, I stopped counting, but maybe I'm about 150 years old" Coincidence? I think not.

In the beginning of the video, it shows the symbol for Gemini and then it transitions to the dates for ChroNoiR's previous MVs as well as the uploaded date of this MV "Dec. 20 - present. 2020". When the song starts, the letters for Castor can be found above Kanae. However, Pollux, the other twin, cannot be found anywhere (or at least I can't find it).

At 4:00 in the video, it shows visuals of both Kanae and Kuzuha, with an overlay of their previous MVs. Except, Kuzuha has an extra overlay featuring the caskets at the bridge. Implying, Kanae has no memories prior to that.

Normally in reincarnation stories, your memories stay with you. However, Kanae doesn't seem to have any previous memories.

I like how CNR are compared to that of twins (twins share a really intense bond). I think it matches CNR's friendship really well 'cause they're both really close friendship-wise and are always paired together unit-wise, you can't have one without the other otherwise it wouldn't be CNR. Or something like that...

56 out of 64 spots in the bracket have been filled. List of advancing songs is below the cut.

For the preliminaries, there are 86* songs competing for 8 open spots in the bracket. (again, full list below)

The prelims will be structured as follows:

Part A: *2 songs - a mini pre-preliminary round of sorts between two versions of "Play" by shr - the original Kagamine Rin version vs an UTAU cover featuring Matusdappoiyo, since both versions were submitted. The Winner of this round will participate in part B. (One day long)

Part B: 85 songs - 17 matches of 5 songs, with 1 winner each. I will be releasing 3 or 4 matches every other day to stagger them. Winners of part B will move on to part C. (16 days long)

Part C: 17 songs - 2 matches of 8/9 songs, each with the top 4 songs advancing. Both matches will be released the same day (One week long)

if anyone has any objections to this, or any better ideas, lemme know now, bc that was the best I could come up with. I didnt want the first round of matches to be between too many songs at once, as I felt that would probably be less accurate, and more intimidating so less people would listen to all the songs....... idk
