Back to the regular Sneak Peek schedule!! Just had my final show for Stage crew and celebrated with a good dinner with friends,

this isn’t meant to be like an informative post because I truly have one half an idea of what I’m doing

So I do feral colony care & I also occasionally deliver attempted road kill (aka injured animals I find on the road) to wildlife specialists.

The way I learned what to do was essentially through frantic Google search, so I would recommend just being paranoid and googling things out of boredom ahead of time so if you ever end up in this situation you know.

I tried looking up wildlife care in the area and we DO have a rescue, but they take a very long time & also about 3 other supposed rescues on Google were dead ends. Like the numbers didn’t exist or went to tree services for some reason idk.

For the one that exists you just get the animal off the road (hopefully into a box) and give them the address/cross street.

What REALLY works is the emergency vet. You would probably need to call your local emergency vet and ask if this is a service they offer, but I take all injured/sick strays and wild animals that can be moved to the emergency vet. Mine has paperwork that you fill out to sign over your right to the animal and confirm it’s not yours, you can call them to ask for updates on how it went, and they will typically hand the animal over to the relevant rescue group when they’re stable.

I have taken them 3 cats two turtles and a concussed raccoon and they’re super helpful. I just call ahead and let them know the situation and ask if I should head their way (bc I need reassurance and the answer is always yes). It has cost me 0 dollars. You should buy wildlife handling gloves tho.

So if you’re in that situation Google the emergency vet and ask if they can help.

Also if you’re turning over a stray (or like any animal you found really) write down exactly where you found them on any paperwork they give you, even if it’s like in the corner. I also sometimes write down the strays name & I usually give them the exact location where I free my TNR cats (address + “if released do so to the far right of the building near the bench”)+ any other bonus information I think they may want.

Ex: Charlie is a TNR cat and his colony location is (here).

my face is THROBBING what the hells. i have taken painkillers, brushed my teeth, swilled mouthwash and a salt rinse and my face just. hurts. ugh. recovery is miserable :(

had major dental work done and I was prescribed painkillers, opioids type. I am confident in myself to take them normally and not give into addiction tendency but I also feel like im breaking my sobriety and feel really guilty? they were the pillar of some of the darkest time of my life, I lost years to them, they almost killed me. Not sure what to do here. The pain is bad, I know they'd help, I know I wouldn't go overboard. But still.

I haven't had painkillers since 2017 when I went thru withdrawals to stop. I haven't had alcohol since then. I haven't had weed for four months now. Been totally clean. Taking them feels like im ruining my progress.

Iwao knew it wouldn't stay quiet forever, and the inevitable storm of well wishers as knowledge of Eijiro's death spread had only just started tapering off this week.

Sato had joined the fray, and Natsumi were more than welcome. Extra hands were helpful (although neither Diran nor Iwao we're going to let Natsumi do a lot in her current state) as people trickled in and Akira made people nervous or pity him or someone had actually gotten mad and struck him about the whole thing.

Still, Iwao had to admit the company was nice. More to do than worry about Mitsu and the kids or Akira or Eijiro...

Another knock at the door, preventing him from dwelling on those thoughts for long.

He hadn't been expecting.

Her.

The demoness's plump lips pouted, "i heard the news~ that poor thing, that must have been awful scary for such a tiny thing~"

"... How'd you find out," surely- nah... But what if h-nah...

"ohhh, that little shinigami is frightfully upset about the whole thing! About being cheated, you know how you men get about these things," Lorelei shrugged the suggestion that the Alley felt it was owed Eijiro somehow, and that Iwao should understand the feeling, off with a dainty gesture of a gloved hand. Diran had let out a breath he had been holding at the Alley's mention, as Iwao remained in Lorelei's way, "Well, I think he's pretty damn," he cleared his throat, "dead. And you don't seem to have him either so I think we-"

"ooo is my wittle Kiki doing okay~?" She clasped her hands, pouting her perfect lips and- Iwao shook his head, he suddenly had a wicked migraine, "Yesyes, he's fine."

Lorelei huffed. Fine, be that way, "Well, he's not here, but let Kiki know Mani's offer still stands. He'll just have to take me up on it instead."

"Offer," Diran interjected before Iwao could get the question out.

She giggled, "Yes, Mani made him an offer, but he's not here, so if Kiki's interested, I'm authorized to fulfill it~ Although I'm sure he really wanted to be a game piece again," Lorelei tacked on bordering on sarcastic but dripping with sweetness still, "but do tell him I came by at least, pretty pwease?"

"i- sure, of course, ma'am," the demoness smiled warmly, oh there now, he couldn't quite get free from her, could he now? She blew a kiss as she walked off leaving Iwao standing confused, head throbbing in the open door, about that whole exchange.

Between whatever that was and the damn wolf coming around from time to time now too- Yeah, Rem sure did buy this place, didn't he?
