Kalego Answered: it being celebrated. Since the notification from myln (I assume the demon version of messaging app like line in Japan) such as message and photo, were constantly coming in, I turn them off for a day. Later, all message were marked as read.

Yknow, its really hard to discuss tumblrs recent decisions, because 90% of the posts discussing them are either factually inaccurate or show a lack of understanding about like, the reality of running a website (or both. Often both.)
But also tumblr continues to make decisions that Are completely insane and could not in any world actually contribute to increased revenue. So like. Theres no winning.

tfw your gaming desktop has less muscle than a 15w steamdeck ;w; but it still runs good
#daemon.md#techblr#i would love more performance for the times i actually play games#but literally everything else i do works fine#and is pretty fast#like modern low-end laptops are incredibly powerful#you wouldn't know it bc electron apps are resource-hungry as is a standard win10/11 install#(especially compared to back when w10 was new and praised for being relatively lightweight for a windows os)#if we didn't live in capitalist hell we would probably see framework-style laptops as standard#and you could select how rugged/sleek and how expandable you want it to be#and opt for higher quality keyboard + touchpad + screen#and put some 10w mobile apu in there#perfect video/messaging/note-taking/light programming machine#just don't try to compile large projects on it lmao#it makes me mad how we've got so far on silicon efficiency#we have incredibly powerful hardware at the top end#and we have still plenty powerful but very power-efficient hardware at the low end#like think of all the ewaste that could be prevented
