Since it’s officially September that means it’s basically October which means it’s HALLOWEEN TIME BABY!!! 

We’ve decided to bring back our Halloween Writing Challenge! 

The first year we did our Halloween Challenge SO many authors participated and we were all blessed with so many amazing fics. We’re hoping you’ll all come back to write us some spooky shit! 

We don’t have any set rules apart from these!

Tyler’s eyes used to shine like the sun, expressive, alive. His smile would split his face, dimples cratering his cheeks. His voice would bring a crowd to life, commanding, demanding attention. He’d twirl a curl of his hair around his finger when he was nervous, wrinkle his nose when he was confused, scratch his elbow when he lied. Josh used to read him like a book.

Now all that remained of that book were the beaten and bruised outside covers, the torn, shredded pages within stained with bloody ink, splatters and smears hiding away the delicate scrawl of lettering underneath, intangible, unreadable, forgotten.

okay so we had someone ask us to delete a fic (not a post, a fic) because it had Jenna portrayed as an abuser, we will not be deleting the post, and Cade (who wrote the fic) has said he’s not deleting his fic either.

i can understand if these types of fics make you uncomfortable but this person’s reasoning was because jenna is a real person. which sure, yeah that’s true but so are Tyler and Josh, so in that same vein wouldn’t you be uncomfortable with reading Joshler all together?? 

The fact is, none of what we post or is written by authors is real, which is why it’s called FICTION. if certain things make you uncomfy i’d suggest blacklisting keywords/topics/tags so you won’t come across it. asking us to delete something, and especially asking an author who worked hard to write said fic is extremely rude. people tend to read and write certain things as a way to cope or vent about something. it’s not your place to ask for it to be removed. hide the post, blacklist the terms, or unfollow us if you don’t agree with what we post, it’s that simple.
