New in Shops ~ Protector of the Dead
I love the idea of a keeper of the dead, someone (or something) that ensures they rest easy. This design was originally on my Patreon, and I enjoyed the process of designing and stitching, especially all the curlicues.

i was SO fucking productive today. like i rocked this shit. i did so much art (5 drawings, 10 bracelets) + i ate good food [that counts] and i got in some movement physically [dofficult when youre disabled in the way i am] so basically i am relatively eneiched and in a little pain but i got lots of energy out mentally and physically, so my brain and body are both tired, which basically feels similar to an emotion so thats cool (i dont feel that many emptions or that often or for that long when it does happen+i feel them as ohysical sensations wjich is prob why it feels similar to the sensations of tiredness physically and cottony exhaustion in the brain, since they feel like physical sensatjons as well) basically this is as close to happiness as i usually get + i got to feel hyper which also feels similar to an emotion. it feels really similar to rhat rare sensation of excitement
#if this sounds weird just know i have aspd and schizo something going on#so i experience emotions differently and have different default states#and abilities to function#maybe to someone w a full time job that doesnt seem like much but physically and mentally making ten bravelets is EXHAUSTING#i have to use my brain for patterns and so whether i can do it fepends on how disorganized i am#and physically the pain it causes taxes me#but this is a happy post i feel great#i feel like a tortoise in an enriching large and properly heated and lighted enclosure#ive got different levels of substrate so i have to climb and decoration and plants to break up my environment and a dish of water#because tortoises DO need water availabke#my owner (me) is taking great care of me#this isnt oversharing btw its the perfect amount of sharing im RAISING AWARENESS /hj

The wardrobe source post
Have had several Asks about where I get my clothes, so here we go.
My general style:

My build: I am 5'10", around 155-160lbs. I am a trans man, so that means some fit challenges. 36R tops, 32x32 bottoms, 8ish shoe.
My preferences: I adore 1930s/40s outdoor "country gentleman" and work wear -- I am building a wardrobe here. I love texture and mixing patterns. I try to stick to natural fibers. I am spending more money on pieces that last longer and shrinking my closet to a modern capsule and a vintage capsule. (Though I will sometimes mix eras.) Brown is my favorite color.
Online thrifting:
Unclaimed baggage. Really great for giving higher end brands a shot at huge discounts.
Gem App. Fantastic for searching multiple sites like ebay, poshmark, etc.
Modern clothing:
Taylor Stitch. Standouts are sweaters and wool trousers. Sizing runs trim - I size up to a 38 here instead of my usual 36. This means it's a great source for smaller trans mascs.
Yiume. Shirts a bit thin, but fun prints and frequent sales.
Imperfects. Small range, but fun, higher waisted fishtail trousers.
Taft Boots. Comfy right out of the box. Great at making small feet look elegant. Men's sizes start at a 6.
Schott. Fantastic pea coats. Recommended by Derek Menswear.
Vermont Flannel. Super thick plaid, flannel shirts. Very warm.
Sterkowski hats. Range includes flat caps and captains/fisherman.
Spier & MacKay. Great winter coats, run a bit trim. Their trousers look hideous and despite a bit of a vintage look, everything else in the catalog is too low waisted and skinny.
LLBean. Great for sweaters. I love my grey commando style one.
Banana Republic. I like a lot of their older stuff, so a brand to watch on Poshmark.
New Vintage:
Cathcart London. Sweaters and jeans are great. Hit or miss fit on the rest. Frequent sales, small runs.
Darcy Clothing. Great all across the board. They are a film supplier, so restocks are regular. Their suspenders are hard to find, fyi, so search under "braces".
Revival Vintage. Dipping into poly blends, but a great selection of fairisle sweater vests.
JoBear boots. Great prices and styles, requires breaking in.
Focusers. Vintage glasses. They will replace lenses. Love the Peabody gold wire frames.
Old Glasses Shop. Frames you won't find at Focusers. You can try on frames before committing to an Rx, but have to pay for the return. Love their round tortoise shells.

Slooow down and meet today’s reptilian feature: the radiated tortoise (Astrochelys radiata)! It gets its name from the bright-yellow "radiating" (star) pattern on its domed shell. This herbivore munches on a variety of grasses, fruits, and succulents. For relief during extreme heat, it will burrow itself underground to try and keep cool. Once abundant throughout the dry regions of southern Madagascar, this species is now critically endangered due to habitat destruction and exploitation in the illegal pet trade.

CHOMPY PLUSH IS FINISHED !!!!!!!!!!

oh my little tortoise son, I love him so much
I made him completely of my own pattern! which is the first time I’ve ever done that, at least for a sorta complex shape like he is, and I’m very proud of him 😌
He’s made entirely out of plush fleece, has some glass beads in his legs for weight, and I think is life sized too!
I think someday I’ll make another with darker colors, (the ones I was originally gonna do lol) and one out of minky fabric, and if those go well, I might make a couple more to sell :D
