I've been seeing this all over the place and I love it!

I have been tagged by many who I would tag, as well seen them tag many others I would also tag.

So in no particular order and also with knowledge that this list can in no way be comprehensive because I sometimes have a hard time remembering every author I have ever read or liked but I'm going to do my best to list who I can. And cut it, cause it gets wordy here:

@sillyrabbit81 for a variety of reasons, not the least of which is she was my entrance to this fandom with Even If You Don't Mean It. Her Sy is goals, not to mention her fantastic gif making skills. I mean, just LOOK AT THIS!!!

@mayloma my lover of everything Walter (and more, I know; Sy and August and Henry get her love, too.) Her Hideaway Walter is especially delicious.

@geralts-yenn another serious contender for feeding the fandom gifs and inspiration, but an author in her own right. Lots of minor Cavill characters get love from her but I'd be lying if I said I was ever not thinking about her Sy from Bonfire. Also, thank you for the tag, lovely!

@raccoon-eyed-rebel is my series go-to. Seriously, the number of her stories I have been or still am following with glee is astounding. I'm still waiting for a conclusion to Fixer-Upper with Sy, but it's the way she agrees to write me into the scenes with my favorites that really seals the deal for me. Not that I need everyone lusting after my man, but please, do enjoy my Pumpkin Spice king.

@hope-to-hell just gorgeous, sensual, dark and sticky stuff. I daydream about her collab fic with Walter calling a phone sex line every now and then. Sad and Lonely Boys has an unexpected Mike twist to it, but it hits so hard, I cannot resist it.

@ellethespaceunicorn just goes crazy on every Henry character. She loves them all, spends her time researching (read "watching all his movies to get the mannerisms and feels right") and just churns out ideas like there is no stopping her. So many options to choose from, but I still want to see more of Love, Napoleon. Another friend I need to thank for the tag. (And please, you flatter me, too.)

@littlefreya Demon of Lust doesn't do her justice. She is a masterclass in Cavill fanfic. So many ideas, so many stories, all filled with fantasy and desire and just pure, unadulterated fun. You'd think I'd run to her Sy, too, but it's August who makes my heart beat faster when I think of Freya. The Way to Hell will show you why.

@winter2112rose creates cute domestic bliss with our favorites. Sometimes, a bit of angst works its way in, but that's okay. Trust she has the best intentions in mind for your fave. If that fav is Walter, start with A Detective and His Baby Cubs. Thank you also, sweetheart, for the tag!

@itbmojojoejo this is a throwback fandom for me. Most you maybe don't know of my love for Finan the Agile from The Last Kingdom. But Mojo keeps me fed with Finan gifs and also has an amazing TLK 1950's crime lord AU Crimes of Passion that has me hooked and desperately hoping her muse and her free time hook up again soon.

I'm sure there are more. I imagine you could check out my FWW posts to see some other wonderful writers and the things I've said about them already, too.

Fanfic Writer Wednesday

Here I go, here I go, here I go again...

Does anyone know what my weakness is? It’s men. 

Specifically men played by Henry Cavill and so when I go looking for fic these days, I’m looking for fic written about men played by Henry Cavill. You know, you’ve heard me. It’s Sy. It’s Walter. It’s August. Sometimes I even give Mikey a try.

@hope-to-hell​ gives me what I need. A masterlist full of good shit. And look, a lot of this is deep, dark, hedonistic, stuff. At least what I���ve read. I could be wrong, but if you’re looking for comfort or fluff, this may not be the place for you. (Anyone knows otherwise, feel free to point me there, because again, I have NOT read the entire masterlist.)

There is a ton of August Walker, including this amazing dark and sticky series, Dream State, that just begs for his demise to be fake. I regret not reblogging every chapter so I’m making up for it by rec’ing it again here.

Need Walter? (Fuck yeah, I need Walter) You’ll find plenty of him and with all his filth and de-stress needs, like in a Locker Room After Hours. Maybe some phone sex (with an unexpected twist of Mike?) Just some real deep and meaty shit here.

Mike makes a lot of appearances, so you get that, too.

There are dabblings of several other HC characters including this amazing shibari!Sy fic. You ever wanted Sy as a sub? You got it.

Look, there is a LOT. The masterlist has masterlists. It also contains non-HC stories, which, look. When you find a good writer, you just read a good writer, okay? Give it a shot. You may find something you like, something that makes you wanna shoop. And if not, that’s okay, too. It’s just a good idea to try.

Don’t forget. Writers crave your support. Likes are nice and all, but a good comment goes a long way. As do reblogs. Reblogs with comments??? Heaven. So get out there and show us what you got.

Fanfic Writer Wednesday

Yoohoo! Anybody home? I've been trying to reach you about your need for more fanfic in your life. It’s me. Charlie. C’mon. Open up...

Okay, well, lemme just leave this note here on your door. I have a piece of tape. It won’t mar the finish, I promise.

Last week I got myself caught up on this wonderful story, Blinded by the Fog, by @peyton-warren​ . It’s threatening to break my heart a little, but we’ll see where it goes. This week I want to remind you there is more to be had. Her masterlist has a few different characters available, from both Chris Evans and Henry Cavill (three-way of your dreams) as well as a little SPN (oh hey! I used to go there, too) and Stranger Things for good measure.

Personally, I love the Stick Handling series, which is less about hockey (like I originally thought) and more about spending your time with several men of your dreams. If you’re into that sort of thing. 

And then there’s this Walter thing I adore (Arresting and Arrested) and another (The Hidden Sun) I need to put my eyeballs on, because Walter is having a bit of a renaissance lately (can’t imagine why) and so I should check that out. You should too!

And look, some of the characters may not be your thing. But I challenge you to step outside of your comfort zone and try something new. You literally never know until you try. And how do you try? You click a link. You read a story. You like a story. You rate a story (give some feedback). You share a story (reblog, baby, reblog!) It’s what makes this Tumblr world go ‘round. It helps if you do your part.

Fanfic Writer Wednesday

Hey guys. Hey. Hi. It's me. It's been awhile. I got a little busy and I've missed several weeks in a row, but I'm going to try to get back on a track.

This week, I wanted to bring your attention to @cardierreh15. Cardi is my fellow Sagittarius and I love her spiciness.

She brings a wonderful voice and self-sufficiency to her characters. These women don't need these men to save them, but they sure know that it feels nice to be loved by them.

I have not started every series on her masterlist, but I do love the ones I have.

I recall starting The Guy Next Door, but I lost track of it and that is all my fault. But it's only fitting I bring this one to your attention now, since it's a dark and broody Halloween fic modeled on Scream.

I admit, Clark is not usually my go to guy. I don't know why. He's really cute, those curls and fangs, sparkling blue eyes that shine with the rest of his smile. And when he's Kal-El, well, ... see what I mean? How could I not invest some of my interest in this guy? Well, you certainly can - with Believer. See how you like it.

I have it on good authority that she has at least one, if not two, spooky season fics waiting in the wings for us, as well as (fingers crossed!) the next installment of a vampire!henry fic filled with lost and refound love, art, beauty, and music: When Love Finds a Way. I cannot wait!

And she took on a version of my fever dream about being the cop that pulls Henry over for speeding in Traffic Stop. I want to frisk that man!

There is more to discover on Cardi's blog, so do yourself a favor: take a trip over her way. Read a few stories. If you like them, let her know and then read a few more. Maybe even reblog one or two. Maybe with comments about what you loved about the stories. But you'll never know until you try. So give it a try.

Fanfic Writer Wednesday

I’ll be real honest. Oftentimes when I rec an author, it’s because I need a good place to store the masterlists I haven’t had a chance to fully explore yet.

@wolvesandhoundshowltogether​ is no exception. 

I HAVE read Kissed By Fire, once early on during my lurker days, and again late last year and I just love the freaking whole story and I won’t be sorry about it okay???!!!??? Firefighter!Sy? Are you kidding me?

I HAVE read The Grizzly and The Leopard and it’s highly possible I never reblogged it, but I’m linking here for ... reasons. (There are two. Syverson. August. mmmfff.)

I KNOW I started The Bodyguard at one point and fell in love with it because, well, Walter. Somewhere along the line I lost track of it, but imagine my pleasant surprise when I found it while reviewing the masterlist for important details, like this amazing werewolf!Walter fic: His Moon.

Other details include the beginning of a multi-character Biker AU fic, Ramble On, that I’m always hoping will continue because if you don’t love the idea of HC characters on bikes I don’t know what you are doing with your life.

Sy, August, Walter, Geralt. This is what you find on her masterlist and even though I haven’t read it all, I have no doubt you won’t be disappointed based on what I HAVE read.

So, you know the drill. You have the power to make someone’s day. Read a fic. Love a fic. Comment on a fic. Reblog a fic. Shout it to the rooftops when you find something you love and let your local fanfic writer know all about it. It’s good for your soul.

Fanfic Writer Wednesday

Okay, it’s Wednesday again. And look, I do try to release these earlier in the day (Eastern US style), but there was this holiday weekend and things got busy and now it may be into Thursday in some places, but it’s still Wednesday here. So here we go.

Also, I know @littlefreya​ understands a busy life schedule. She understands how things can get hectic. She knows we can’t always get to everything we want accomplished in our fanfic world. But you know what? 

She has already accomplished so much! Have you seen her masterlist??? Pardon me. Masterlists??? (That first one is stories; second is drabbles.)

There is a metric ton of Henry on her lists. And Sy. A little Geralt, and Walter, and Clark, and Sherlock. Charles. Mike. There’s even one pleasant afternoon with Gus. I have a lot of catching up to do. 

But I’ll venture to say if you add up the stories, you’ll notice that besides our dear Henry, the one Freya focuses her attention on most is August. I hear tell The Way to Hell is one hell of a ride. And somehow, even though I know I’ve read Nasty, it doesn’t show up on my fic rec list. But it should. And I think there’s a whole little series of public smuttiness born from Poison Honey.

I’ll be shocked, shocked I tell ya, if someone reading this hasn’t already discovered Freya, but it doesn’t stop me from wanting to send a little love her way. And if you do discover something new? Even better. 

So get out there and try some on. Hit like and add a comment or even the coveted reblog. Or even better: Reblog with Comment! Even if you think your comments don’t matter, just know: They do.

Fanfic Writer Wednesday

Trying to get back into it and I recently saw a few reblogs of a story by an author I thought I recognized and when I dug a little deeper I realized “Yes!!!”

@daydreaming-in-letters​ has a masterlist full of more than just HC but that shouldn’t bother you. And if you really only want to focus on Henry, you can do that, too, here.

I found her through this amazing Hades AU, Worship and I am kicking myself everyday now for not finding time to go back and read the rest of her stories.

ESPECIALLY now that a mutual has called out this Geralt series, Daughter of the Sea, where I get to pretend I’m a MERMAID!!! How could I resist??? I love the lush imagery I found in Worship and I can only imagine the depths I’m going to discover once I find some time to read this one.

There are lots of HC and his characters to love on over at this blog. And like I said before, her masterlist isn’t limited to him. And if you are looking for some stripper AU fics, look no further and try this teaser for The Banana Club Auditions, then move on to August Walker, Steve Rogers, Napoleon Solo, Ransom Drysdale, Walter Marshall + Paul Diskant, and Lloyd Hansen. I doubt you’ll be disappointed.

And that’s just to start. There are more fics to find so if something I’ve mentioned doesn’t float your boat, move on down the line and try something else. Fanfic Writer Wednesday

Friends, I would be extremely remiss if I didn’t remind you at least once a day how much I adore @raccoon-eyed-rebel and her stories.

When I search back through my #fic rec tag, it’s so blindingly apparent. She has written a lot of really fun, unique stories that always surprise me and often make me swoon.

Want to pretend you’re in it for the long haul and babies with Sy? Get in line behind Lara, aka @keanureevesisbae​ (as well as me, except i don’t want the babies) and check out Fixer Upper.

Want to know what it’s like to live in a house with EIGHT young Cavill characters? I mean, you won’t actually be living there, but like, you’ll get the drift and it’s amazing! Stop by 179th Crescent Street. 

Need some Dom!August willing to share you with Dom!Walter? Under Orders is your jam. (Also, do me a favor and beg nicely for neighbor!Sy to make an appearance. Thanks.)

Her Masterlist also has an amazing vampire!Au with hints and promises of a little reverse harem action with four Cavill characters (Natural) and several one-shots that make it pretty clear Mike is her favorite. Until you come across this Walter gem.

Anyway, my point isn’t to list every single story available, but rather to remind you there are amazing storytellers out there who love and adore your feedback. They’d literally offer up a first-born child in thanks. 

So find some free time, gather some snacks, take a gander at the list, and like, comment, or reblog. OR all of the above. It’s doesn’t take much. And it feels good to make others feel good. It’s okay if you only do it for your own endorphins.

Fanfic Writer Wednesday

Hey guys. It’s me again. Your friendly neighborhood writer recommender.

I don’t know if you know @thesaucynomad​ yet, but if not, you might want to take just a quick side-trip to Jess’s masterlist. Because, though it be short, it is definitely sweet spicy. And worth your time.

The only specific story link I’m going to provide is to the series Bad Ideas. This is not because nothing else deserves your attention and only because I don’t think the masterlist has been updated yet to include the re-posting of this very promising summer adventure with our favorite Texan stud.

As for the rest? It’s a couple one-shots and two additional ongoing series (one Sy, one Walter). 

What will you find? Dialog and storytelling worth its weight in gold. 

I mean it, y’all. These stories will suck you in and you will not want them to be over. (Plus, you know, sexy time with sexy men.)

You know what’s awesome? When a writer sees your reads and reblogs, and that boosts their desire to continue writing the stories that you love so much (provided, of course, they have the time. Adulting can still suck, ya know?) I see Jess reblogging old work and I hope it means there is so much more to come, old and new, because this fandom deserves to read these tales.

So you know the drill: read a story, like a story, comment on a story, reblog a story. Tell your author what you love, what hooks you in, what brings you back. Flail with them over the details! It is so amazing to see.

Fanfic Writer Wednesday

Hey-o! It’s officially my favorite day of the week again. The day I spend just a little more time than I usually do chatting up a fellow fic writer.

@ellethespaceunicorn​ is a lover of all things Henry and this makes them a-ok in my book. Elle is a newcomer on the Cavill fic scene, but they came on strong and put together a diverse masterlist in no time.

What I fell for was their Walter in Bright Like the Moon. but even though I’ve never seen The Man from U.N.C.L.E., they had me swooning for Love, Napoleon too! I can’t wait for the next installments of both these series.

You know what’s also awesome? Elle writes Black!OFCs with no apology. There are plenty of ways to write a character and to be able to infuse a little of ourselves into the stories we write is what fanfiction is all about. I love looking at all these scenes and scenarios from another perspective and still feeling drawn in and invested.

So if you have a moment today, take a look. Maybe find a character you haven’t read before or start a new series. Hit like when it strikes you. Leave a note or two to tell them what you loved. Reblog to let others know, too (that’s how it works best here!) Want to flail a little in the reblog? I doubt anyone will mind.

Fanfic Writer Wednesday

Morning!

Here's the thing. I was feeling like I might have to skip this week again, which I didn't want to do because I may have to skip next week (due to family vacation; we'll see.)

But this isn't about me. It's about you and me trying to spread some love. Scrolling through the tags of my favorite Army Captain, I came across a self-rec post from @darklydeliciousdesires and I was...intrigued. Mostly because some of the characters were NOT Sy. But I bit, clicked through and found an absolute fucking treasure trove of fic.

You guys. I'm not kidding. The depth of this masterlist of masterlists is mind boggling. It contains more than Henry and Co. but I just never think variety is a problem. To be clear: I only skimmed Henry's lists (oh and maybe I peeked at Tyler Rake because that man can get it, ammiright @littlegreenplasticsoldier ???) (Also sorry: I don't usually drop another blog in the middle of someone else's rec, but I just had to let Ali in on this one.)

Anyway. I am so glad I found this list. Did I mention I'm going on vacation? Need some beachside reading and this will do nicely.

Of the few series I started (Reflecting Light with Sy x OFC) and one-shots (Cotswolds with Henry and Little Whore with Geralt) I read this morning, I can say this: The details are amazing, the storylines hook you, the fucking opening fight scene for Tyler and Liliya in Borne of Bullets and Bloodshed is heart pounding, and the smut is impeccable.

I think this writer has a different focus than me of late, but there is still plenty of Henry and his characters for you to read about and drool over if you haven't already. And if you find a new pretty man to lust over in the process, how can that be bad in the slightest?

Read it, love it, reblog it and shout it to the rooftops. Your local fanfic writer will be forever grateful, I'm sure of it!

Fanfic Writer Wednesday

Okay. Okay. Okay. I’m using this week’s FWW to remind myself that @angryschnauzer​ has an entire masterlist that I need to find time to read through.

Why? Because right now, I’m jonesing for more As Sweet As Honey, an absolute dream of a story with my favorite captain, Sy, who likes to post thirst traps on IG promoting his honey and fresh baked bread. And he has a hot tub. Just what is not to like?

And because I noticed when I was perusing said masterlist, that she also has a Pirate!Sy! It’s meant to be a cheesy romance CRACK fic, but imagining swashbuckling Sy has me all kinds of ways. PLUS a second chapter brings more HC!Pirate characters that I’m sure are not to be missed!

I know I’ve read Moonlight on the Sand because who could resist Werewolf!Sy? And I’m pretty sure I recall What Your Husband Can’t Give You, with Mike. Young stud shoveling the snow in your driveway? What I cannot figure out is why I didn’t both hit Like and Reblog on these. It’s probably because I read them early on when I was just dipping toes and unsure if I’d stay awhile. But here I am, stuck on Henry and all these amazing stories. As a bonus, there always seems to be more to find! Along with Sy and Mike, her masterlist has August, Walter, Geralt, and Sherlock too. And  few special guests I’m sure you won’t want to miss.

So if you’ve been around awhile, Schnauz may be nothing new to you. But if you’re new here, do yourself a favor and head on over to check it out. Don’t forget to let her know what you liked! Fanfic Writer Wednesday

Hey! Hi! Hello!

It's my favorite day of the week again, and of course, I want to talk about one of my favs.

Look, the masterlist for @geralts-yenn is short and sweet and that should make it super simple for you to binge the whole thing and then ask for tags for her intriguing Vampire!Melot series, as well as follow her for all-around awesomeness.

Yenn, or Nina if I must (😘) is just a wonderful all aroung blog. She started off giving all the love and support to the Cavill writers out there and, then, lo and behold, she found her own writing bug.

Now, it's clear from her masterlist that Mikey is her fave. And that's fine. Leaves more Sy, Geralt, Walter, you name it for the rest of us.

But honestly, no. I know she loves them all. And how do I know? Because she also spends her precious time editing photos of the man and making me swoon. Or cry as in this case.

Do yourself a favor today. Or tomorrow. Or whenever you have some time. Check out her blog and decide for yourself if all the gloriousness of Henry Cavill that she splashes around is worth your dash. I definitely think it is.

FanFic Writer Wednesday

Hey fam. Hello. Hi.

So along time ago in another life, I used to do this thing. And I miss it. So I'm gonna try to start doing it again.

What is FWW, you ask? It's just me sending love to fanfic writers on a Wednesday. It is usually writers for my current fandom. Sometimes I crossover.

These days, you're probably gonna find mostly Henry Cavill + Character writers.

If you follow me for anything other than HC, you may be interested in seeing some old SPN recs here. They are SUPER old, and I cannot vouch for the links any longer. At some point last year, I went through and tried to verify they were still active, but that doesn't mean some more writers haven't deactivated since then.

I will try to keep that list updated with new HC writers as I post them but you can always search #fww or #fanfic writer wednesday if you want to find these.

Trying to get something sorted for this evening, but if not, watch this space next week. Until then...
