i dont think its right for people to get into touken ranbu nowadays. the touken ranbu fanbase needs to be japanese women in their late 20s-early 30s who have had the same sword husbands for 5 years

Finished watching the first episode of Touken Ranbu Kai! I love how the main cast of the Honnouji incident is present since this is the anime adaptation of the stageplay, I wish the rest of the Swords would get more screening and coverage of other stage adaptations. In TouSute the topic of Oda Nobunaga never dies down even in Japanese history as Oda is one of the recorded feudal lords. Mikazuki being appointed to Saniwa is spot-on, on the stage — as I can tell how his VA Kousuke Toriumi would play. As expected his delivery lines reminded me of Hiroki Suzuki's role. Ah I love the adaptation so far even though it's all about Nobunaga again and again. Plus in TouMyu would mention him, regardless.

I wanna squeal cause I've been a tourabu since 2016 and I love Mikazuki Munechika 😭💜 I'm so glad that they're back with more adaptations and franchises as this is one of the super popular games in Japan!

Remembering "fun times" in Touken Ranbu fandom, where Kasen was considered the least popular among the starter swords.

But I encountered people too who literally went into rage just by mentioning the character. I mean, if you passionately hate someone, no matter what the character does, it's wrong either way.

Hanamaru and stageplay Kasen is actually pretty tame compared to the in-game one.

FINALLY watched the first 3 eps of touken ranbu kai and omg i missed the tkrb franchise sooooo much!!! i loved seeing the swords and the citadel and i loved watching them fight and do slice of life things and interact and i just. I LOVE SWORDS

i haven't seen kyouden (the stageplay that this anime is based on) so i am just sitting back and enjoying the odagumi drama

also i screamed every time kasen and sone showed up on screen

oh i’m always coming up with different ones, i can’t really pick a favorite! some of my physical appearance(?)-type ones are very dear to me though: Dio having a tooth gap. Rei’s gold tooth + secret tattoos & nipple ring + dad bod. Dimitri having a crooked nose because it’s been broken a few times. Ogata missing a few back teeth after his jaw injury!

11- Most unique merch you have for a fandom?

okay i’m a merch FIEND so this answer is long lol. i have a lot of various merch so i’m wondering what best qualifies as unique, hmmm…. 🤔 rare stuff? expensive stuff? novelty items? fanmade oddities?

how about i name some things that I Just Think Are Neat! some are really cheap and easy to find, others are a little more expensive.

-my sweet pool collection is very beloved (hard copies of the manga, assorted acrylics & buttons, OST CD, and i just purchased a listing on mercariJP that includes the Youji mousepad which was a holy grail item for me 🥹)

-posters & ticket stubs from the first ever Touken Ranbu stageplay that i actually got to see in Japan!!!

-and last but CERTAINLY not least, while trying to write my answer for this question, i found out that this little Dio polaroid bromide is verrrrry interesting! i got it from a listing of assorted secondhand jojo stuff i bought years ago… but i’m mentioning it because i was looking up my jjba merch just to see what things are going for these days and i found a listing for this item, alone, priced at 12,700¥???!??!! i’m guessing this is because J-World closed and this was a prize item. idk if this is a fluke markup or if it’s really just that rare… couldn’t find any other listings for it that weren’t years old and long-sold!

still blows my mind that touken ranbu is not very popular like outside of japan like??? the game has been around for like 7+ years and is going steady and has like?? last time i checked, three animes, one live-action movie, somewhere around 5 to 8 stageplays and just as many musicals and yet if i mentioned it then people would just go what is that??

to be fair it is, in the lightest most beloved way possible, a PowerPoint game so like yeah maybe there's a reason why it's not popular
