Just thinking about Pro Heroes Touya & Tenko being rivals, constantly one-upping each other, and it's always a surprise who is going to end up where on the Hero Charts because their rankings are constantly flip-flopping.

When they team up, though, they fight seamlessly and are a force that even the toughest villains fear as well as the envy of most Hero duos.

In interviews, when asked about each other, they keep their relationship vague - the reason why they're such fierce rivals and how they manage to work so well together during the times they team up.

There's rumors that they're actually dating but when asked directly, neither of them give a straight answer about it.

But then there's a particularly close call one day and both of them momentarily forget they've been keeping their relationship a secret to the public because they're just so relieved that the other is okay.

The next day, videos and pictures of them embracing and kissing each other amongst all the rubble and destruction from the battle (which is hardly even mentioned) is plastered everywhere.

Hear me out for a second: ShigaDabi no quirks AU where they meet in a psychiatric care facility.

Tenko has been a long-time patient there as part of a court-ordered thing (due to some more complicated stuff that's happened in his past that would be big spoilers for this AU and take way too long to explain so we're gonna skip over that for now) but with the improvement he's been making, he has a chance at potentially being transferred to a halfway house soon as long as he continues doing well and improving.

Then Touya Todoroki, the missing and long-since presumed dead son of popular politician Enji Todoroki, is admitted against his will after a failed attempt to expose his father's abuse ends with Enji gaining legal custody over him again, despite Touya being an adult, under the pretense that he is too mentally ill to care for himself. That argument of course also being used to discredit everything Touya said about Enji in the process.

And, well, that kinda ends up fucking everything up for Tenko.

"I know you're not happy, Tenko - You're fucking miserable and so am I," Touya seethed, pacing back and forth. "My family won't even fucking tell me what happened to my dad - Shouto, my fucking baby brother who is in High School has more freedom than I do, Tenko. What the fuck is up with that?"
