Toddler Terrans (1/?) - Malto Terrans

Terrans as a species are born from stone eggs created inside of Emberstone pools. They "hatch" in sizes reaching from a human toddler to a young child. Terrans who are born together are biological siblings.

The "toddler phase" is short. It's even shorter for this new generation due to the post-war era they are born into, to increase their odds in survival.

Since stasis lock doesn't affect your age as you remain in stasis for a long time with no way to wake up or die (that's cruel), it's safe to say that Terratronus is a young bot old enough to fend for herself (maybe Hot Rod's age) until she went to stasis lock buried under Witwicky.

She adopts her formal mannerisms after Quintus Prime (the only being she spent time with), who trained her with all the time he had to defend herself and from their enemies. Despite first impressions, she's still a kid.

Speaking of stasis lock and aging. It sounds awkward, consider that Skybound Jetfire from Void Rivals woke up as young as when he first left Cybertron (he was buried for millions of years).

How would you give names to the newborn Terrans? I don't like the idea of just coming from their heads. Perhaps the Autobots give suggestions until they like it? Using astronomy-related names like Aster or Callisto from the internet? That would be cool.

I actually imagine you could get a decent lesson out of the episode if the Terrans were being named by others. The Autobots and the Maltos both try to give their own suggestions for the names, the Autobots presumably wanting names that are more in line with their way of thinking while the Maltos fear that those names are being imposed on the Terrans, who are unfamiliar with Cybertronian culture and naming conventions. It could actually be a fairly interesting lesson for the kids about what names mean and why they're chosen. And it would prevent us from having a character named Hashtag.

The alternative is they get named behind the backs of the Autobots to their consternation.

If you've watched Transformers Earthspark at all, did you ever notice that Mandroid called the terrans Organic-cybertronians (or however he worded it, it was almost like that tho) but they're constantly being portrayed throughout the show as more cybertronian than organic? If YOU were in control of showing more organic traits for these organic-mechanic hybrids- example, Freckles or 2-coloured eyes or whatever that condition is called that has patches of different skin colour...? What would you utilize for the Terrans?

Organic based Cybertronians opens a whole level of uncanny valley, I especially take some pointers from the appearances and descriptions of ‘The Twisted Ones’ from FNAF.

1. I like to think that Techno Organic characters sort of have a ‘pulse’ similar to ours, just a general more rhythmic flow to their internals than your average Cybertronian character. Like say you’ve got to operate but everything inside is beating or moving inside while still 100% machinery. This might already exist in other continuities but if it does I’m unaware of it thus far.

2. Need of oxygen. obviously they don’t have lungs and use a form of fans or ventilation like the fandom has portrayed for ages; But as mentioned by TFA Black Arachnia at one point, their organic half wouldn’t survive trying to swim too far down. I think somehow Oxygen could come into play with how their bodies break down and process energon as fuel.

3. Less susceptible to rust and with a whole new different kind of resistance to diseases mentioned and created in Cybertron. Organic creatures have a whole different type of immune system, a hybrid character would have it’s own defense somewhere in the middle of the two. Just imagine Optimus comes around and they’re barely even sick so it’s no big deal, then he’s floored and barely alive after catching the ‘mild bug’ the kids have.

4. I’d say for skin patches, coloration, etc. it would depend on the minerals inside of and surrounding them in the cave water they were born from. Imagine one comes out of a completely stagnant body of water for example. Quintuss’s ember stone had made it uninhabitable for your average aquatic cave creature, nothing has stirred in there for who knows how long, so it’s still waters are nothing short of a breeding ground for horribly toxic bacteria. Rather than coming out gray they could come out pale watered down green, slimy yellow, sickly beige-orange, and all sorts of in between colors.

5. Possibly sweating and shedding tears. In the previous, maybe if they were born from toxic stagnant water then the ‘sweat’ or ‘tears’ would be dangerous for humans to touch so y’know, added bonus of people repellant. However both call to the need to be hydrating, which— huge plot hole btw, THE CAVE WATER IS STOLEN— so there’s be more urgency to that situation.

Earthspark Nightbird ideas!

Ok here's what I got:

-Enter the Nightbird is basically still canon more or less. The important stuff at the very least, the broad strokes. Like her being a human-made robot who the Decepticons captured and gave sentience to, carrying out their orders until she was knocked out in combat and taken back by the Autobots to her creator(s). I'd also want to carry over from that episode Megatron's praising of her and Starscream's feelings of jealousy as well as anger at the idea of being replaced by her.

-Works for G.H.O.S.T

-Also has a proper voicebox now

-Has a negative view of Megatron and the Decepticons due to how they abandoned her after she was knocked out and (in her eyes) recaptured

-Megatron especially. Which makes things awkward since they work for the same organization.

-Megatron tries to be nice and courteous to her but she is often non-receptive and tends to ignore, respond passive-aggressively or even just plain aggressively. Even if its been years, decades even, she still feels angry, hurt and betrayed by him.

-Megatron in the present feels bad for how he used and abandoned her in the past. He has tried to apologize to her and wishes to make it up to her somehow.

-If she and Starscream end up in a fight I could see the words exchanged being pretty intense

Nightbird and the Terrans:

-Initially tried to hunt them down and capture them for G.H.O.S.T., assuming they were Decepticons. Once she realized the truth though she stops and like Optimus, Megatron, Elita and Arcee keeps G.H.O.S.T in the dark about them.

-Nightbird feels a kinship with the Terrans once she finds out she and them were both "born" on Earth. She has always felt a bit alone, felt like there's no one really like her. So it becomes comforting to know there are now bots on Earth she shares at least something in common with.

-After she stops trying to hunt and fight them, the Terrans are very accepting of her. They (along with Robby and Mo) actually find her really cool. They love the whole ninja thing and all the different weapons she has on her.

-Could see one or more of the Terrans trying to smooth over things between Megatron and Nightbird they hate seeing family members fight

-Hashtag finds ship art of Megatron and Nightbird on the internet, shows it to them and the ensuing feelings of awkward embarassment make them both feel like they want to die lmao (not trying to start ship discourse I just thought this one would be funny and honestly in-character for Hashtag to do if we're being real 💀)

(note it's not ideal to introduce cats directly like with Twitch here, she's just small and squeezed through the baby gate to meet the new friend)

Just a random idea.

Since Terrans are born where textiles are commonly made and not on Cybertron (assuming that textiles and making them are nonexistent or at least very uncommon), they would have a security blanket or keep a precious plush toy with them. Or a huge plush (big enough for bots to hold. You may find them at a carnival or a shopping mall)! ❤️🧸 They can store them in their chest cavity or whatever space that’s equivalent to pockets and bags. Someone please draw that. 😆
