I came up with the idea of cosplaying King Jaffe Joffer from my favorite movie, Coming To America. At the time, Black Panther was coming out and I decided to make the cosplay for the premiere. My cosplay brand is Stand Out Cosplay, so I gear my cosplays to more nostalgic characters people rarely see like from Coming to America.

The costume is pieced together with some items that are made and some bought. Goodwill and other thrift stores are a cosplayers best friend lol. The hat is actually a hat from the “Varsity’s” restaurant with added fabric. The trench coat I got from Target, pants from Goodwill, I made the sash/jewelry and the fake Lion I bought online.

You rarely see this cosplay, so people freak out when they see it. It’s like EVERYBODY’S favorite movie. I get so many people yelling out quotes from the movie like “MY SON WORKS” to “WHAT IS THAT… VELVET ???”. Another cool story is that I ran into other characters from the same movie like Randy Watson and Hakeem in the McDowell’s uniform. We instantly became friends and a cosplay group.

Cosplay is literally MY LIFE!! I would do it even if there are no more conventions. I have been cosplaying for over 17 years. I am a Renaissance man, so I love being creative and seeing what I can come up with. I love the smiles on people’s faces when they see my cosplays. They tell me that my cosplays make their day and that’s my number one goal in cosplay. To inspire and see how many people I can make smile.

AWA (Anime Weekend Atlanta) was the first con I ever went to, so it has a special place in my heart. It has a video game room, tabletop gaming, various panels, celebrity panels, celebrity autograph booths, a dealers room, artist alley, anime viewing rooms, tons of cosplayers and usually a rave (dancing hall) during the night. I mean it usually appeals to everyone even if you are somewhat new to the culture. It’s always my favorite time of the year when fellow like-minded geeks come together and be one. Saints to sign running back Zach Zenner

According to multiple sources and first reported by Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the New Orleans Saints have signed running back Zach Zenner Wednesday afternoon. The signing came after the team had reportedly worked out former Saint back Travaris Cadet. To make room for Zenner, the Saints released linebacker Stephone Anthony. Zenner's signing is to give the team depth at the position, with the status of Alvin Kamara perhaps in doubt with knee and ankle injuries.

The 28-yr. old Zenner had played all four of his NFL seasons with the Detroit Lions after entering the league undrafted from South Dakota State in 2015. He has appeared in 36 career games, starting 6, with 174 rushing attempts for 685 yards and 8 touchdowns. His most productive rushing season came in 2016, when rushing for 334 yards and 4 scores. Zenner, who is 5'11 224-lbs., also has 27 career receptions for 263 yards.

In the event that Kamara is unable to play on Sunday against the Chicago Bears, veteran Latavius Murray will move into the starting role, with Dwayne Washington likely to be the number two back. The 29-yr. old Murray has 32 rushes for 138 yards and a touchdown so far this year, while adding 9 catches for 67 yards. He played well in the second half against the Jacksonville Jaguars with Kamara slowed, and looks to be a big key against the rugged Bears defense this weekend.

Maybe this road trip will go a little better than the last one.

When the SEC schedule shifted around, and we had to add those carpetbaggers from Texas and Missouri, the already-confusing rotation got a little murkier.

Auburn hasn’t seen much of certain teams from the East. Yeah, we play Georgia every year, but the other schools in that division are a rare sight around the Plains, and the Tigers don’t really get to see road campuses much either.

We last saw Florida a year ago, but before that it was 2011.

Kentucky was the opener this year, but it was five years before that since we saw them.

Tennessee was 2018 and 2013.

Vanderbilt, uh... 2016 and 2012.

Missouri? Just once in the regular season — 2017 on the road.

And South Carolina? It’s been six years since we saw the Gamecocks in an epic offensive showdown on the Plains. Last time in Columbia? It’s been nine seasons since Gene Chizik’s last big win.

This year, the Tigers get to head to Williams-Brice Stadium one of the venues in which they’ve played the least in the conference. Auburn has visited just twice this millennium (2006/2011), with another meeting coming in 1997. We haven’t seen these much, yet, both sides have quite a bit in common.

Anyway, both of these teams come in questioning themselves a bit. We know about Auburn’s struggles — the Night-That-Shall-Not-Be-Named in Athens and the Pork Paradox from last week — and how the Tigers are trying to get right and establish a run game and something on offense. Meanwhile, Muschamp’s boys started 0-2 before beating a COVID-depleted Vanderbilt team last Saturday.

That’s not to say that both sides haven’t done good things. Auburn’s defense took some hits lately with the loss to Georgia and the second half against Arkansas, but injuries took their toll on the Tigers. However, last weekend was the first time this year that the run game looked like what we expect out of a Malzahn offense. Tank Bigsby is exceptionally impressive in his Tiger debut, and he rumbled for 268 total yards last weekend, most since Tre Mason in 2013.

Meanwhile, South Carolina lost a close game to Tennessee to open the year, and played even with Florida for much of the first half before falling behind. The Vandy game was no contest, so they’ve had a chance to taste success. Tailback Kevin Harris is a solid power back, and Shi Smith is a danger on the perimeter, though, and the defense is adept at stopping the run (oh, joy!). Tennessee ran for 133 yards on 4.0 yards per carry, while Florida hit just 80 yards on 24 carries, and Vandy went for just 76 yards on 33 carries.

If Auburn wants to win, it’s almost certain that they’ll need to get Tank Bigsby and the rest of the run game going, but that might be tougher than it appears.

SERIES HISTORY: Auburn leads the all-time series 10-1-1, with South Carolina’s only mild success coming in a 16-14 win in Birmingham in 1933 and a 20-20 tie at the same spot a year before. Auburn has won eight meetings in a row, all since the Gamecocks joined the SEC.

LAST MEETING: 42-35 win for Auburn in 2014.

LAST WEEK: Auburn escaped Arkansas 30-28 with Anders Carlson’s game-winning field goal with seven seconds left. South Carolina had no trouble beating Vanderbilt 41-7 for their first win of the season.

KEYS FOR AUBURN:

THIRD DOWNS. It was a bugaboo against Kentucky and we thought, alright, game one. We let Stetson Bennett escape the rush in Week 2, and it was a trend. Now after Kendall Briles answered every single blitz that Kevin Steele threw at the Hogs on third down last Saturday and beat most of them, it’s a problem. South Carolina has the kind of offense that can move the ball on the ground and set up third and manageable. Auburn has to be better at giving the offense more opportunities to work, and the Gamecocks’ ball control attack will try to limit the number of drives that Auburn gets. Have to have more third down stops. Gus Malzahn needs to flip the script and that starts here and on the other side of the ball...

CONTROL THE CLOCK WITH THE RUN GAME. Tank Bigsby has emerged as a star in Auburn’s backfield, and his running ability is taking pressure off of Bo Nix. He hasn’t found the end zone yet, but that time isn’t far off. He’s the most talented freshman back we’ve had showing out since his position coach, and he’s the answer to set Auburn up with the desirable second-and-medium, third-and-short type of situations. If Auburn can string together some longer drives and pound the rock, then they can flip the narrative and do exactly what Arkansas wants to do. It won’t hurt being able to run the ball with some of the next games coming up either.

HEALTH. Are we getting some guys back? Yes indeed. Auburn’s offense only played 15 guys last weekend, but we should have a healthy Eli Stove back this weekend. His presence will pay dividends for Bo Nix and open up both the passing and running games. On the other side of the ball, K.J. Britt is still out after thumb surgery, but some of Auburn’s other defensive players should be back, preventing a late game slump like we saw last weekend.

IS GUS ALREADY COACHING FOR HIS JOB? I’m not the first one to say it, but if you look at some of the chatter around the internet, the loss to Georgia was another nail in the coffin for Gus’ time at Auburn. If we’d lost to Arkansas, it would’ve been a matter of time. Over his time at Auburn, there have been multiple times that he’s saved his job with clutch wins. Look at 2017. Look at the Iron Bowl last year. Despite the flaccid nature of the Georgia loss, Auburn could turn it around and may likely be favored in each of the next four or five games. Win those, and you’re back in the top ten, sitting pretty as you head into Amen Corner Pt. II. When Gus needs to, he wins. This could be the start of that just as the running game is starting to get going.

Nhà hát Lớn Hà Nội là công trình có kiến trúc hoàn hảo, quy mô bậc nhất, góp phần định hình kiến trúc, diện mạo của Thủ đô Hà Nội ở nửa đầu thế kỷ XX. Nơi đây vẫn lưu giữ những câu chuyện bí ẩn như: Tác giả thực sự của công trình này, nhà hát không hề có tiếng khi thử âm lần đầu tiên… Cuối tháng 6, Nhà hát Lớn Hà Nội chính thức mở cửa phục vụ du khách trong và ngoài nước tham quan, khám phá…

Tại sao công trình lại quá đồ sộ ?

Theo tư liệu chính thức từ website của Nhà hát Lớn Hà Nội, nhà hát vốn nằm trên một vùng đầm lầy thuộc đất của hai làng Thạch Tần và Tây Luông thuộc Tổng Phúc Lân, huyện Thọ Xương. Vào năm 1899, Hội đồng thành phố nhóm họp dưới quyền chủ tọa của Richard, Công sứ Pháp tại Hà Nội đề nghị lên Toàn quyền Fourer cho xây nhà hát. Tác giả đồ án thiết kế là hai kiến trúc sư Harlay và Broyer. Bản thiết kế này phải sửa đổi nhiều lần do nhận được sự góp ý của nhiều kiến trúc sư. Công trình được khởi công vào ngày 7-6-1901, dưới sự giám sát kỹ thuật của thanh tra đô thị, kiến trúc sư Harlay, một trong hai tác giả thiết kế. Người phụ trách thi công là hai ông: Travary và Savelon.Việc san lấp mặt bằng diễn ra rất vất vả. Hằng ngày có 300 công nhân làm việc, 35.000 cọc tre được đóng với khối bê tông làm nền dày 90cm. Công trình đã sử dụng hơn 12.000m3 vật liệu, gần 600 tấn gang thép; chiếm diện tích 2.600m2, chiều dài là 87m, chiều rộng là 30m, điểm cao nhất so với mặt đường là 34m. Mặt trước của công trình rất bề thế, những bậc thềm chạy dài trước nhà hát để đón thẳng xe của các quan chức thuộc địa đến xem.Những người thiết kế công trình đã tìm tòi, tham khảo kiểu kiến trúc cổ Hy Lạp Coranhtơ kết hợp với kiểu lâu đài Tuylơry và Nhà hát Opéra Paris để tạo nên một khối kiến trúc riêng biệt.Bên trong nhà hát trước đây có sân khấu rộng và một phòng khán giả chính diện tích 24x24m, chứa 870 chỗ ngồi, ghế bọc da, một số chỗ bọc nhung. Tầng giữa có nhiều phòng nhỏ dành cho khán giả có vé riêng. Cầu thang giữa lên tầng hai là một sảnh chính rộng. Cầu thang phụ và hành lang ở hai bên. Phía sau nhà hát là một phòng quản trị, có 18 buồng cho diễn viên hóa trang, 2 phòng tập hát, 1 thư viện và phòng họp. Nhà hát là nơi biểu diễn các loại hình nghệ thuật cổ điển như Opéra, nhạc thính phòng, kịch nói… phục vụ cho tầng lớp quan lại thượng lưu người Pháp và một số ít người Việt giàu có.

Lịch biểu diễn một tuần 4 lần vào thứ ba, thứ năm, thứ bảy và chủ nhật. Kinh phí xây dựng nhà hát được duyệt là 2.000.000 franc Pháp – một khoản tiền rất lớn vào thời đó. Không chỉ báo chí, nhiều quan chức trong Chính phủ Pháp đã đặt câu hỏi: Tại sao lại bỏ khoản tiền lớn như vậy để xây một nhà hát bề thế trong khi dân số ở thành phố thuộc địa này ít hơn rất nhiều so với Paris; phải chăng có sự cấu kết ngầm giữa quan chức có quyền duyệt chi với các công ty thầu? Hay cho tương lai của Hà Nội? Đó vẫn là những câu hỏi còn tồn tại cho đến hôm nay.

Ai là “cha đẻ” của Nhà hát Lớn ?

Có nhiều người cho rằng, Nhà hát Lớn Hà Nội giống Nhà hát Opéra Garnier của Pháp xây dựng vào nửa cuối thế kỷ XVIII. Tuy nhiên KTS Hoàng Đạo Kính lại không đồng tình quan điểm này, ông chia sẻ: “Tôi đã từng nhiều lần đến thăm Nhà hát đó ở Paris và thấy rằng Nhà hát Lớn Hà Nội không phải là phiên bản của Nhà hát Garnier. Bởi vì Nhà hát Opéra Garnier rất đồ sộ, nguy nga và rất cầu kỳ với 2.600 chỗ, trong khi Nhà hát Lớn Hà Nội chưa đầy 1.000 chỗ. Nếu có giống nhau thì có chăng là về chức năng, cấu trúc, không gian mặt bằng mà thôi.Còn về mặt kiến trúc, Nhà hát Lớn Hà Nội là một sự phát triển đặc trưng của lối kiến trúc Pháp ở một nước thuộc địa cuối thế kỷ XIX, đầu thế kỷ XX, trong đó có sự biểu hiện, tiếp nối của kiến trúc tân cổ điển và kiến trúc tân Ba rốc. Thậm chí có những nhân tố bản địa hóa rất đặc biệt, độc đáo và có giá trị thẩm mỹ tự thân chứ không bắt chước một cái nào của Opéra Garnier cả. Nếu đặt Nhà hát Lớn Hà Nội bên cạnh các nhà hát tiêu biểu trên thế giới thì nó rất độc lập, không giống nhà hát nào về mặt kiến trúc”.Cũng theo một tài liệu mà người viết có được thì GS.KTS Hoàng Đạo Kính, người chủ trì công cuộc trùng tu Nhà hát Lớn vào những năm 90 của thế kỷ trước cũng từng băn khoăn rằng tác giả của công trình này cho đến nay vẫn là một ẩn số. Nhiều kiến trúc sư đã tìm trong không ít hồ sơ cả ở Việt Nam và ở Pháp nhưng cho đến nay vẫn chưa biết được ai là tác giả của công trình này. Vì vậy, cũng dễ hiểu khi không chỉ các kiến trúc sư mà ngay cả chúng ta đều có mong muốn được tìm hiểu, làm rõ ai là tác giả thực sự của một công trình độc đáo ở xứ Đông Dương thuộc địa xa vời với nước Pháp mà lại chín muồi đến thế…(còn nữa)KTS Hồ Thiệu Trị, người sáng lập kiêm Tổng Giám đốc HTT Group, đồng thời cũng là người tham gia vào việc trùng tu Nhà hát Lớn Hà Nội trong giai đoạn 1995-1997 cho biết: “Năm 1994, lần đầu tiên từ Pháp về Việt Nam, tôi đến thăm nhà hát. Nhìn thoáng qua, tôi thấy công trình giống như những nhà hát ở Pháp và Châu Âu, nhưng khi quan sát kỹ, lại thấy phảng phất đường nét, chi tiết rất Việt Nam.Nhà hát Lớn được thiết kế rất đúng với tinh thần của kiến trúc thuộc địa, ở thời điểm đó, tại Việt Nam chưa có mô hình nhà hát lớn nào làm hình mẫu. Konjukcija između Sunca i Saturna nam donosi generalno vrlo dobre stvari u naš život (posebno ako imate naglašen Zemljani element u svom natalu) Uvećava nam fokus i koncentraciju, kao i izdržljivost i upornost ka postizanju dugoročnih ciljeva. Sunce je život & snaga, Saturn je forma & granica, pa tako zajedno, njih dvoje nam donose mogućnost da „složimo životne kockice“ tj da napokon stanemo na noge i dobijemo smisao života (cilj u životu)

Ova energija nam pomaže da uspostavimo balans i stabilnost u naš život. Vraća nas ritmu otkucaja srca Majke Zemlje i donosi nam dugo željeni osećaj sigurnosti i pripadanja nekome i nečemu što ima smisla i što se odmah vidi da će biti dugotrajno i dobro, pa samim tim nam popravlja i samopouzdanje, koje nam pak je potrebno da bi ostvarili svoje napr poslovne ciljeve. Ovo su susreti sa osobama čija zanimanja osciliraju između nauke i misticizma, genetičari ali i bioenergetičari, fizičari & biolozi ali i homeopate & travari, ali naravno zbog samog znaka Jarca tu je politika, arhitektura, arheologija, geologiija, građevina itd… Pojačano je interesovanje i za misticizam, divinaciju, magiju, alhemiju, astrologiju, tradicije i uverenja starih zaboravljenih naroda (tako da na neki način ovaj Sunce Saturn Merkur Pluton, po meni, je samo “provodnik” ovog Pomračenja koje se desilo)

Alvin Kamara has a 'high ankle-type issue' but might play vs. Bears, report says

Alvin Kamara is hopeful to play Sunday vs. the Chicago Bears, but the New Orleans Saints running back is dealing with a a "high ankle-type issue," according to an NFL.com report.

The injury will limit Kamara in practice this week, the report says.

Saints coach Sean Payton said after Sunday's win against Jacksonville that Kamara had a swollen ankle going into the game, and he also tweaked his knee during the first quarter.

Kamara played through the ailments, seeing time on 39 snaps for 59 percent of the Saints' offensive plays.

Travaris Cadet, who has played for the Saints on two separate occasions since entering the NFL in 2012, was reported to have a workout with the team on Tuesday. It's unclear how that workout went and if the Saints plan to sign Cadet.

If Kamara is unable to play vs. Chicago, running back Latavius Murray would be in line to carry the workload.

In New Orleans' 13-6 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, Murray took the field for 28 of the Saints' 66 plays, or 42 percent. His highest usage before the Jacksonville game came in Week 2's game against the Los Angeles Rams, where he was in on 35 percent of the plays.

Murray's statistics reflected his increased usage. His 79 yards from scrimmage — 44 yards rushing, 35 yards receiving — were the most he's had all season.

The Saints (5-1) face off against Chicago (3-2) at Soldier Field on Sunday at 3:25 p.m.
