#try guys scandal
Text
What really bothers me about the try guys scandal is that there’s no word on or from Alexandria. She hasn’t said a word, she hasn’t apologized publicly. She deserves the same amount of blame for this, both of them had a part in risking the company and each other’s relationships. Waiting on a company statement about her job status or even better her own apology for hurting so many people. Im expecting her to at least apologize in the same vein as Ned’s apology.

Ya’ll I’ve just realized that like,,, if you tried hard enough you Could make Ned Fulmer’s affair scandal fit pretty seamlessly in with The Reynold’s Pamphlet from Hamilton. Like
The [Try Guys Scandal]!
Have you read this?
[Ned Fulmer] had a torrid affair, and he wrote it down right there! [ensemble points to various social media posts]
Highlights!
“The charge against me is [cheating on my wife]
For purposes of improper speculation,
My real crime is [losing focus and having a consensual workplace relationship] for a considerable time”
Etc., etc., I’ll stop there because I don’t want this post to get too long
Anyway it’s a very funny coincidence that The Reynolds Pamphlet lines up with this whole drama, and it’s a nice bit of humor to add to the “what the fuck” of it all

Basically agree with this one. Power imbalances and cheating can happen simultaneously. We don't use just cheating with someone at work as a reason to fire a person, we fire for abuse of power position.
Also, if you argue that Ned shouldn't be fired for cheating and then argue that Alex should be fired for cheating, you're espousing a double standard that is biased toward the man here.
The truth is hardly ever ever pure and never simple. (Edited quote from Oscar Wilde)

try guys snl skit
yep, its time to put my two cents in on this insanity of a "skit".
this was the most un-funny and rude way to make fun of a shit situation. while yes, the try guys community has been making fun of this issue, its been towards the person who betrayed the community in the first place.
this man fucked up his OVER EIGHT YEAR CAREER TEN YEAR MARRIAGE WITH TWO KIDS UNDER FIVE YEARS OLD. not to mention that the person he cheated with had been working inside of the company for several years as well, and that he had been in a relationship with her for months, she had cheated on her fiance of TEN YEARS AND WERE ABOUT TO GET MARRIED.
i genuinely don't understand why they have "the try guys" in the sketch are the ones saying the words "consensual relationship", when the only person who phrased it this way was the cheater himself.
i thought that snl was a funny, wholesome show, but it seems like today I am learning way more about their workplace management through this skit. today i learned that ned and alex, the two people cheating on their respective partners with each other have connections to one or two snl writers, snl is apparently well known now for having harassment issues, and has been said to have a bad environment for women in their workplace.
perhaps if you would like to talk about these kinds of situations in your workplace, you may want to look at the good way to go about it through the original try guys statement.

obviously i don’t actually want this to happen since it would be fucked up and cross a lot of boundaries, but i’m waiting for the absolute shitstorm that will go down on this site when someone inevitably writes an rpf about the ned fulmer scandal where the other try guys fight/emotionally support each other through the fallout

I just remembered that there’s a running joke on the Try Guys channel that their raunchy puppet Ronald, puppetted by Miles, hated by Johnathon, is the “head of second try HR”
So I’m just wondering how Ronald is handling the Ned/Alex situation

SNL roasted the remaining Try Guys for their 5 minute video response to them firing Ned. The audacity!
Major respect to the guys tho, they handled that with so much maturity.
