MEET VENUS

I created her a few months ago, and finally had the guts to reveal her existence. Here’s a few things to know about her:

Created as a spy by the Creator to spy on the Celestial Family since Earth refused to help him anymore

Creator put a built-in shocker on the back of Venus’ head if she ever started thinking or doing things for herself, so she wouldn’t become like Earth

Killed/harmed anyone that got in her way

Creator considered Rosie a distraction, and warned Venus if she ever got too attached or ‘put on the wrong track,’ he would do something to Rosie

Would shock Venus if she did anything out of line

Rosie is my other OC, and I’ll make her Ref sheet when I’m done with some commissions. Nova is @mcyourlocalartnerd OC

OC Character descriptions (Click names for more extensive explainations)

Sky: Age: 10 Cause of death: A victim of the July 16th incident. What she doin?: She haunts the daycare, messes with electronics, and blends in with the daycare children.

Star: (Sky's older sister)

Age: 17 Cause of death: Electrocuted in the Fazcade What she doin?: Keeps to herself in the Fazcade, mostly. She enjoys the karaoke there, and usually can be heard humming from the upper floors.

Venus:

Age: 15 Cause of Death: Found drowned in the waters of Gator Golf. What she doin?: Scaring children, breaking stuff, being generally unhinged

Holly: Age: 9 Cause of Death: Murder via stabbing & blunt force trauma. She's one of the many children Vanny killed while collecting remnant. What she doin?: She mostly stays wherever Bloodmoon is, but can sometimes be found in the Pizzaplex around it's more eccentric residents.

Venus is, alot like Lunar, a person that was accidental made an Astral Body. Same situation as Lunar. Except.. Well, they didn't get there powers under control in time. They came back for a bit against there own will to help Lunar. They really hate Lunar because of it.

They generally don't like anyone, but they tolerate Solar, Earth, and Sun (surprisingly) more.

There abilities generally handle the mindscape. I haven't fully mapped it out, but i know they can easily access other peoples heads.. Besides the other ABS.

im still working on this but ITS DONE!!

ART DUMPS ON YOU LOUDLY

Cosmo is my silly TSAMS oc built to check dimension safety before entrance. Eventually, Mandela (purple green and white silly) came along as a computer virus, locking him out of his dimension for good. He began to slowly go insane without someone there to keep him company as he hopped dimensions every few days when he stumbled upon Venus (the energetic little guy who can be seen next to Cosmo in one of the drawings holding a wrench).

Venus is another tsams oc of mine. He was built by Eclipse in hopes of him being able to keep him alive as the star slowly drained his life. He replaced parts of Eclipse’s body so often that he practically shed his skin every week, causing Venus to work tirelessly every day until Cosmo found him and yanked him from his universe. Cosmo and Venus now travel together and go on adventures between universes.

Oh, also, cosmo’s lizard collects data and projects the screen he types on.

oh- and some of these are wips, especially the first one. That’s a perspective doodle of Cosmo.

“BORDER” Art Exhibition by Mongolian Artist Tsogo Mijid

OPENING RECEPTION: Exhibit Reception: Saturday, March 7, 5-7 p.m.

BORDER is a solo exhibit of works by Mongolian artist Tsogo Mijid featuring a mix of contemporary paintings, Tsam dance masks and soft sculpture works, curated by Eriko Tsogo. This exhibition is the outcome of Mijid’s residency with the International Yurt Art Residency Program in collaboration with the Mongolian Culture and Heritage Center of Colorado, and is supported by Denver Arts & Venues Cultural Partner Program.

Installation View:

BORDER offers a critical review on themes of immigration and the marginalized identity, inspired by first-person narratives of the artist’s life dating back two decades of residency in Colorado since his immigration to Denver from Mongolia.

Born in 1965 in Ulaanbaatar, Tsogo Mijid lives and works as an artist, arts administration professional, and art educator in Denver. Tsogo has had numerous solo and select group exhibitions in Mongolia, Hungary, Germany, Russia and the United States. His artworks are owned by Nobel Peace Prize laureate the 14th Dalai Lama, and the Denver Art Museum, with permanent installations at the Denver Zoo and Meow Wolf Denver. Tsogo remains one of the few Mongolian artists in the world to follow in the ancient art of the Mongolian Tsam mask-making tradition.

Over the course of his 35-year career, Tsogo’s commitment to creating powerful images of the marginalized life is unwavering. Having lived through various political systems in many different countries, Tsogo remains a versatile artist whose different art practices continues to reflect his migratory experiences. In each of the cities where he has lived over the course of his career, Tsogo continues to be a key figure merging both Western and Eastern cultures.

The International Yurt Art Residency Program (IYARP) was founded by Mongolian American artist Eriko Tsogo in collaboration with the Mongolian Culture and Heritage Center of Colorado in 2018. Every year IYARP awards two multi-disciplinary artists a one to three-month cross-cultural residency studio exchange experience in a traditional Mongolian yurt. IYARP has a multi-fold mission to create cross-cultural artist exchanges between Colorado and Mongolia, and encourage artistic and cultural enrichment through diversity, while promoting social justice, academic discourse and creative capital surrounding social policy and environmental sustainability on a cross-cultural platform.
