Pateidgekit was super young when Turtle tail died, Gray wing had her renamed in honor of her mother she takes so strongly after, but with his wing mutation <3

I totally agree with the TurtleTail stuff. I would have literally taken TurtleTail trying to speak up in Bumble's defense but get shut down quickly. Because at least in that situation she would have TRIED to help aid Bumble. I wish that part was handled better, her "apology" to Bumble is so weird and is written in a way that still tries to blame Bumble for... whatever reason. It sucks, I genuinely like their friendship in the beginning and both TurtleTail and Bumble suffer from the shit ass writing in DoTC (Just as every other character does but specifically the female characters). When Bumble apologized to TurtleTail (while Bumble was dying by the way), TurtleTail should have told her she didn't need to apologize for anything. Then TurtleTail profusely apologizes to her. None of this "Yeeaaahh... I'm sorry I guess but you couldn't live with us because you're lazy" bullshit we got in the books. Imagine the sheer impact and emotion the Erins could have put into that scene, imagine if Bumble's exile haunted TurtleTail's mind, and when she finally got the chance to apologize, Bumble was already on her way to death's door. Imagine if TurtleTail was the only cat who wanted to or gave a proper burial to her dear friend. Sorry for the rambling, I'm super passionate about TurtleTail and Bumble's relationship it hurts

Turtle Tail and Bumble BROKE THEIR BACKS holding up the entire Sun Trail book, they're like the only enjoyable part of the goddamn thing and then the Erins DID THIS

And it hurts because Turtle's pivot is out of nowhere. They're friends in Sun Trail! She KNOWS that Tom is a horrible person! Bumble didn't want to tell the secret because HE told her not to! What reason does she have to be like this?!

Do you notice that 'apologies' in warriors are almost always written as two-way, instead of the person who did wrong solely apologizing? A la Bramble's "WE should never have let it get this bad?" Constantly, cats who did nothing wrong are written as saying something like, "I shouldn't have been mad at you" or something.

Like it's equally bad to be upset about being mistreated as it is to mistreat someone

I'm not sure if it's possible to save the Bumble death without dragging the likeability of a bunch of characters down with it. The sheer amount of cruelty behind turning away a domestic abuse survivor because she's too 'lazy and useless' cannot go unaddressed somehow, either as a commentary on the Moor Group, Clear Sky's infectious mindset, or an inquiry to the morality of every character involved.

It could be a good sort of angst idea for Turtle to be trying to keep her fed in her exile, between caring for her kits and still trying to hunt for her AND the Moor Cats, but honestly, I crave a more meaty, substantial fix

Hey guys new little warrior cats tag game: Share your plus-sized headcanons in the tags!

I'll give some of mine to start off: Princess, DarkStripe, DoveWing, TigerHeartStar (though he's a little more on the stocky side), ShadowSight, BigTeeth, BugEater, TurtleTail, RedTail, MouseFur, MapleShade, BrokenStar, YellowFang, RavenPaw (after moving to the barn), Shnucky, MothWing, SquirrelFlight, LeafPool, ClawWhistle, Purdy, FrostPaw. Just to name a few

All my cats from generation 1! These are the cats I started out with (minus the older cats that pretty much passed away/went into the elders den. Phew! This took awhile to finish lol! All of these are the icons I will be using as I finish up gen 1′s story and at the start of gen 2 ! 

Flickerstar - Leader, used to be mates with thymeberry but now they’re bitter exes and shes happly dating the loner Wood instead

Raggedmoss - A chill warrior who like to keep to themselves.

Thymeberry - A handsome cat who is confident but also very stubborn and selfish. He is the one who Broke up with Flickerstar and started dating Larchriiple instead. He is however still interested in flickeerstar and only really cares about himself. 

Larchripple - She tries to be a respected warrior and mentor and cares a lot about what others think of her. She is mates with Thymeberry, a cat she adores. She arrived to the clan as a loner alongside her friend Silva. While she loves her mate Thymeberry it seems that Larchripple is perhaps in denial about her feelings for Silva.

Silva - She joined the clan as a longer and became a medicine cat. She wanted to keep her name. She has a crush on Larchripple and hates seeing how sad Thymeberry makes her. Silva is a kind cat who cares a lot about her clanmates.

Turtletail - The clans medicine cat alonside Silva. He is an akward and careful cat and a very talented med cat. He alwats tries his best to help and is often seen out looking for herbs. 

Bristlefur - The loner who joined the clan with her kit Windkit, she died early on in a landslide.

Thymepaw -Larchripple and Thymeberry’s son. He is confident and a bully. The rest of the clan is worried about this brat turning into his father, who is a talented hunter but also very stuck-up. (It doesn’t help that Thymeberry is his mentor)

Shortcloud - Flickerstars apprentice, they’re a nice cat who has a bit of a prankster side to them. Shortcloud and Windcreek are mates. 

Sloefoot - A calm and nice warrior. Not much can be said about him as he mostly goes about his day, does his tasks and rests in the sun the rest of the day. He is however loyal to his clan and the only cat Raggedmoss seems to tolerate.

Newleaf

Mistshard returned to camp with a litter of 2 kits. They’re named Skipkit (male) and Luckykit (female). Mistshard refuses to talk about where they came from.

Brookpaw, Fennelpaw, Egretpaw, and Aspenpaw reach the age of six moons and are made apprentices. They are mentored by Elmclaw, Hatchfur, Stonestar, and Frostshine respectively.

Thistlekit escaped from camp to go explore, but was found and attacked by a rogue. Ospreywing was on a walk and saw this, helping Thistlekit escape. She asks Stonestar if she could mentor Thistlekit.

Ravendapple and Cherrythorn have been resistant to retiring, however at Stonestar’s insistence, they do.

Lightpaw and Icepaw are given their warrior names of Lightleap and Iceclaw.

Creekpaw, Ashenpaw, and Coalpaw are apprenticed to Oakstripe, Windleap, and Budflower respectively.

Greenleaf

The next moon, Turtlepaw and Troutpaw are apprenticed to Sleetstripe and Fernthistle respectively. Owlpaw has chosen to become a medicine cat apprentice, and is apprenticed to Patchbriar.

Fireclaw has received a prophecy, and she believes she is meant for something greater.

Foxpaw steps forward silently to receive her warrior name of Foxprance. Erminestripe and Apricotbloom do the same.

Cedarpaw and Thistlepaw are apprenticed to Spicewhisker and Ospreywing respectively.

Birchtail and Larchwing receive their warrior names.

Windleap has announced that she is expecting kits.

Sleetstripe admits he has feelings for Featherfade. However, Featherfade doesn’t feel the same way.

A rogue asks to join the Clan. She changed her name to Cloudshine to better fit in.

Leaf-fall

Pinepeak has decided to come out of retirement and use her skills as a mediator.

Jayshade has been looking forward to moons of rest as an elder, and retires peacefully.

Patchbriar watches as her kits receive their warrior names. They are named Brookrun, Fennelfluff,  Egretleap, and Aspensprout respectively.

Skippaw and Luckypaw are apprenticed to Nettleclaw and Foxprance respectively.

Windleap and Addersight welcome a litter of three kits. They name them Ivykit (female), Mousekit (female), and Iciclekit (male).

Rookwing and Robinchaser decide to retire to the elders’ den. They’ve had a good life of serving the Clan, and now it’s time for them to rest.

The Clan cheers for their three new warriors: Creekrush, Ashenpelt, and Coalfur.

Newly named medicine cat Owlheart still feels like there’s much to learn, but is reassured by Patchbriar.

Turtletail and Troutclaw receive their warrior names.

A rogue brings their kit Torn to the Clan, stating he can no longer care for her. Addersight and Windleap take her in.

Leafbare

Salmontail wishes to join the elders.

Stonestar names Cedarpaw and Thistlepaw warriors. They are given the names Cedarstripe and Thistlepelt.

Bumblebuzz and Robinchaser discovered a single kit. They decide to adopt him. They name him Talonkit.

Iceclaw announces she is expecting kits.

Patchbriar and Oakstripe have become mates.
