Tvd 4x22

Stefan gives Elena some hard truths that she needs to face her pain and grief and Elena runs away but admits he’s right a few minutes later. Meanwhile, Damon’s angsting about if Elena really loves him or not and leaving all the emotional labor of caring for a grieving Elena specifically for Stefan.

I maintain that if Nina stayed, it’s only a matter of time before we circled back to stelena. Damon is a hilarious flop all season and Elena will still pick him, but it’s framed as her worst choice.

Meanwhile, Bonnie gets the shaft. I like to headcanon she’s bringing Jeremy back for herself but frames it as for Elena because she struggles to put herself first, even when she’s doing dark selfish magic. Poor neglected child.

Hii so I just started watching TVD for the first time and I was hooked purely because of Stelena. I've binge-watched the first three seasons and it's because of SE. I love them so much and I've been reading about what happens in later seasons and I just can't put myself through it. I love the show so much and I want to keep watching but part of me wants to stop before the breakup so I can pretend it doesn't happen. I love the characters of Stefan and Elena both so much and from everything I've read about what happens to them, I don't know if I could bear to see it happen.

As a SE shipper would you say continuing the show after 4x05 is worth it for the few Stelena moments or is it better to just turn in early?

Also do you have any other ships in other fandoms you'd say are similar to Stelena?

Honestly, you'll be really frustrated after 4x05, like there are episodes with the big SE moments like 4x19, 4x21, 5x04, 5x18, 6x04, 6x22 where like people will probably reference a lot and then there are the other smaller moments like in 4x10, 4x11, 4x12, 4x16, 4x22, 5x01, 5x02, 5x03, 5x06, 5x07, 5x19, 5x20, 6x21, but there is a loooooooot of bullshit in between and the quality of the show just gets worse and worse. So it's up to you.

In terms of other ships in other fandoms that are similar it depends on what you mean by similar so it's just best to look at my list of OTPs and "explain why you don't ship a pairing" which can be found in both the general TV masterlist and chemistry master list.

I always think that The Wolf counts as TVD. 🤔 It's the same universe, at least. And the end of TW2 is really a rewriting of TVD S6. 🤣

But also, once upon a billion years ago, my first ever KC fic was actually set in TVD S4. It was a twist on the Silas thing, and then picked up from 4x19 to 4x22.
