You know what I think would've made season 2 of TWDG more compelling? If instead of Kenny, we spent the game with Christa.

Cause, let's be honest. Kenny surviving the alley (or the floor trap) in S1 is a little ridiculous. Out of respect for his character and his arc, he should've died there instead of being turned into what he was in S2. Plus, Christa disappearing / dying off screen is super underwhelming.

I think to have spent the season with her, and focus on how the loss of her baby impacts her, it would've been more compelling than what we get from Kenny. Plus, it would make a lot of sense for her to be hyperfixed on protecting AJ after Rebecca dies; she views AJ as a surrogate son for the child she lost.

I'm not the biggest fan of Jane, not in the slightest, but I don't hate her character. I think, had her character not been pretty butchered - especially in episode 5's ending scenes - a Christa vs Jane fight would've been more compelling to me. Though, if you do the typical fandom thing and replace Jane with Luke in that scenario, you have an even harder decision.

I don't know, I just feel like Kenny completed his arc in S1, and S2 kinda spits in the face of that. Meanwhile Christa never really gets an arc at all

I realize I never did post the rest of my TWDG furry redraws. These are like... SUPER old like... older than my Quarry ones, so forgive me for the quality I was just starting. Anyway yea Lee was always my favorite (No bias at all)

Couple of TWDG unpopular opinions

Season 2 would’ve been better if we replaced the Cabin group with the 400 Days characters or even better, replace Arvo with Eddie and use the 400 Days crew and Tavia instead of the evil stereotypical Russians and just have the final episode of Tavia and co getting revenge for losing their home and it ends with either Clem choosing to save Kenny or Nick

Killing off Omid and never mentioning Christa ever again was stupid

The story would be better if Clem was looking after Christa and Omid's baby instead of AJ

Ben, Sarah, Nick, Luke and Mariana being killed off was pointless

TNF should’ve been about the season 2 ending. Either Clem alone, Clem in Wellington or Clem with Kenny or Jane(or if they didn’t kill him so stupidly, Luke) and Clem building her own community and raising and protecting AJ

Only mentioning Lee in the final season was a disservice to Kenny, Jane, Luke, Alvin and Rebecca. The fact that Lilly never mentions Kenny and even wishing he were still alive so she could kill him herself would’ve been enough and Clem shutting her shit down in a similar Kenny style. "I am glad Kenny smashed your piece of shit father's head in. God you are still not over it are you? All this hard bitch is just for show isn't it? After all this time, you are still the same scared little girl crying for daddy's help. Well get the fuck over it, Lee had enough of your bullshit and I have too. Go to hell Lily, tell Larry I said fuck you!"

Not going back to Richmond after getting AJ back was honestly bad writing in my opinion. Clem and AJ already had a home waiting for them with a family who wanted Clem to return. Ericson is a nice place, but unless there is an explanation as to why they didn’t go other than “...shut up, that’s why” it’s really fucking stupid. If it were up to me, Clem would’ve sought help from Javi, Gabe and Richmond get the kids back instead of James. The rescue is a success. Lilly and her people are dead and we get the choice to either return to the school or Richmond. Or hell even the choice to go back to Clem’s old house as was in the cut ending with AJ(or Christa’s child if they didn’t erase that plotline) and whomever your love interest is.

I was thinking about this today as a hypothetical, but what if Lilly wasn't the Delta mission leader Clementine reunited with and rather someone else like Kenny or Christa? Since we never got a confirmation on Christa's fate post Episode 1 Season 2 and Kenny's is up to determination and speculation (somewhat) if you choose to go to Wellington and stay (or leave Kenny and go alone).

I feel like the Kenny in charge of the group the Delta sent out would work better in the Alive!Kenny + Alone ending, personally because his character arc is complete in the Wellington + Stay ending, IMO. Also, I'm still salty we never got a conclusion for Christa ever.

I've actually gotten a request for Christa as the leader in place of Lilly for my What-If series, so that's an idea I'll definitely be exploring in the future.

As for Kenny, that actually seems pretty plausible, since we know that in an earlier version of season 2 he was supposed to be the leader of Howe's rather than Carver. Kenny coming back as a villain is a very interesting idea. Especially with the path you've laid out, where Clementine leaves him at the rest stop. Kenny would be a thoroughly broken man in that timeline, having driven away the people he was trying to protect. Based on how he changes from season 1 from season 2, we already know that Kenny is prone to forgetting the lessons he's learned over time, so I could see him becoming bitter and dangerous in the years since Clem and AJ left.

Oh, I know what happened to Christa.

The aliens got to her first, but unlike Luke, they didn't make a clone of her. She wasn't a good candidate, she didn't have a big group to infiltrate and the aliens didn't make the Clementine connection until they already had Luke.

It's really a shame. I hope she and Luke were able to eventually escape back to earth.

Season 2 but instead of Kenny returning Clementine reunites with a Christa who's still resentful towards her, but through the game they're forced to work together to survive and escape Howe and the final choice is between Christa and Luke (or leaving with Jane right before it happens).
