Thanks to the Garcias, even in the apocalypse Clementine had the possibility to experience that awkward moment when you're at your friend house and his family starts arguing
I think about this exchange between Javi and Mariana at the beginning of S3 a bit
I always think about the memories of those who have passed in franchises like The Walking Dead, how the only way that our passed love ones won’t be forgotten is to remember them and spread their memories. How the only physical remnant of Lee that Clementine has left is his blood stains on his hat.
I wish this was expanded more on in S3, the final episode has Javier tell David that your legacy, how people will remember you, is important but I don’t think that was really a major theme of the season and I wish it was. Maybe if Mariana didn’t get Brian Griffin’d this would have been a major element of the story but who knows
The writers did kate dirty i love the way she prioritized the kids and even showed kindness to clem
that's so true tbh
kate was definitely done dirty and they kinda made her obsessed with javier (me too but like...) and if they had toned that down a bit i feel like people would like her a whole lot more, but if you're able to see past that then she's a pretty good character who cares a lot about the people around her
i just dislike the fact that she absolutely despises you if you don't reciprocate her feelings. i'm not too into her romance with javi but i feel like it ruins the playthrough a bit if you say no because it makes her bitter. the writers should've made her less pushy towards javier but part of me thinks they just didn't like her that much for some reason lol
there’s probably someone I’m missing but every woman I can think of in the walking dead games falls under one of three categories
- bad guy (major OR minor villain. think lilly versus someone like jolene)
- ship content (made to primarily be a love interest and the story could still exist without their presence. characters like carley (who can be replaced easily by doug) and sarita (was literally only there to further kenny’s downward spiral)
- sexism target (characters who are just kind of existing and reacting appropriately to the situations around them, yet aren’t really a massive deal. think people like kate and violet)
