"The Faithful One"

I'm reminded of a place in my dreams,Every time I awake the feeling I have from the night before is never what it seems.

In my sleep I'm dancing above the clouds,But when I'm woke all I hear are voices screaming so loud.

I run I cry I fall to my knees trying my best to get away,I take pills so I won't have to feel the pain just trying to make it through another  day.

When I'm back in that trance my heart assures me the yells are because of something I have done. How do I escape the feeling of a hole in my heart as if I was shot by a loaded gun.

I drift off to a world where there are people just like me,Liars cheaters,abusers yes we are the enemy.

I can't stand to look in the mirror anymore,I'm trying to figure out a way I can get to where I was before.

If I could just go back in time and do it all again,I would stand tall on who I am and not let anything cause me to bend.

My Mother comes say take a stroll with me so we could have a little talk,I beg her to carry me because the pain of what I've done has me so weak I can't bare to walk.

I try to tell her how I've hurt the people who I love the most,How the screams of the wounded scratch in my soul tearing up my insides as if I was a ghost.

Mama,make the noise go away and tell the pain to stop,She say baby I can't the only way they'll cease is if on your knees you drop.

But I didn't mean to hurt them and cause them any pain,I only did what I knew because I've taken so many losses all I wanted was to gain.

That monster inside me came back again,You know the one I told you about when I was around 9 or 10.

he said if I did it his way I could finally have it all,I believed what he said did it his way now I see on the wrong name I did call.

Mama how do I get back to the place of peace again,She said come here baby girl let me introduce you to my faithful friend.

She held me close and walked with me so I could meet this Man,In white He was dressed with a powerful look in His eyes so strong because of it I almost ran.

He called me closer to Him I  realized I knew that voice from before,A voice full of love and compassion that made me fall face down on the floor.

He said you are mine and today I call you back home,He said I left you in the wilderness to see how far off you would roam.

Those screams you heard will bother you no more,I cast them down sent them home and locked every door.

They won't be back to disturb you and chase you anymore,But I can't take away the piercing they left because I need you to remember what you've done so you won't do any of those things you did before.
