Okay, so here is what I'm thinking about for a while with Yuu's headcanon:

Yueme's hairstyle in the beginning

Like coming from another world, they don't have like nice elegant hair like any other yuu's. They have to have messy hair. Once they settle in Ramshackle, they can't afford to get a proper haircut, so they have been having this messy hair from Chp. 1 through Chp. 4. They could only use a hairband to tie up their hair up to a ponytail. Nad hair clips for the hair bangs

After Chp. 5 during Vil and the VDC group giving money to the player Yuu, for Yueme, they can get a proper hairstyle but then the Charon destroyed the Ramshackle dorm. Yueme was not happy. After Idia and Ortho's overblot, Yueme demanded their dorm to be fixed with Idia's money.

Idia repay the favor, Ramshackle got a proper fix, and also gave Yueme money.

Yueme been having this hairstyle throughout their first year in NRC to their second year. Scars have been healed and learning how to do makeup from Vil and Rook.

Once everyone went back home for the summer, Yueme's hair started growing. He has been wanting to grow his hair a bit longer he got inspired by Leona's wavy hair. Since they gave up on finding their way home and told Crowley they wanted to stay, Yueme started taking care of their hair thanks to the trio of Ramshackle ghosts advice. Yueme wanted to surprise their friend group now calling the third years since they aren't first years anymore.

With a bit of makeup and daily face care, now they look absolutely stunning. Epel like it since he wouldn't be the only one mistaken as a girl. The Adeuce thought Yueme might have been a girl this whole time (that's a different au). Jack, Sebek, and Ortho approve.

idk i have a lot of thoughts about Peregrine but I'm kinda like, unsure how to express them.

Peregrine is one of only a Very few characters of mine who got a design before I'd come up with the broad strokes of their story. it's basically always the other way around, with Evi and Evla being the only other two exceptions.

And that design is of a kind faced, pretty, black man.

I don't think I regret making him black, but there's this constant hesitation when I'm writing him or considering drawing him. I don't worry that his story or design are problematique ™ I worry about people deciding they are because they want to start shit.

I'm a gothic romance guy, I write stories about horrible tragic relationships that always feel at best bittersweet, but i worry putting a black man center stage in a story like that will be taken out of context. That Peregrine being unfaithful will be willfully given meaning it simply doesn't carry.

and like, it's that hesitation that keeps me from getting anything done with his story. I can't afford to pay sensitivity readers, and even if I did and made absolutely certain there was not a single problematic line in the whole thing, the people who see a black character as something to overanalyze and tear apart for having even a single character flaw will still start shit that could very well put an end to my art career. because that's just the risk you take when you're a small creator trying to do anything more inclusive or more complicated than a kids cartoon with a token poc background character and i just Hate that. for like, how it stifles not just me but all artists' ability to include poc in works deeper than a puddle without risking Everything to do it.

and tldr: I'm just so fucking Frustrated and just want to tell a story about a guy falling in love with his husband's secret Wolfman twin brother bc that's a fucking premise and a half but I'm having to worry about purity crusades instead.

Someone in the dash said britney's new song wasn't it so naturally i went to twt to see the reactions and now i wonder if her stans are the precursors of those toxic fans who would hype the worst song in the world solely to stay "loyal" to the artist they idolize (which, tbh? is more harmful than beneficial to the artist bc it gives them the wrong idea and mskes em believe they actually did great) or if kpop stans are spreading their toxic beliefs by, once again, hyping the hell out of a bad song for the sake of "loyalty" because THE AMOUNT of stans saying people are being ungrateful for not liking the song and not streaming it enough to hit n°1 is just... 🤯
