Demon twins? Demon twins. 

Damian? Good at the assassin side of things, at least for a four year old, but Danyal? He’s okay, but he’s far better at things like poisons and bookkeeping. Which is honestly? Okay. They’re the League of Shadows, and sure a majority of the members are assassins, but it’s definitely not all there are. So? Danyal starts getting medical training. 

Not to say that either of the boys don’t know their fair share of violence and healing- it’s just better to let them play to their strengths. One doesn’t keep a league over centuries if they just have one type of warrior, or even just warriors. A variety is needed. 

So one gets trained more towards the business side of things. Damian may be better at wielding the weapons and killing- even if neither have had their first kill quite yet- but Danyal shows far more proficiency at acting, at masking who he is and gathering information. 

Damian, when he’s first sent to their Father, doesn’t mention his twin. Not because he’s jealous or hates him or anything like that. You just don’t talk about someone in an undercover mission in the League, and it’s not something he realizes isn’t a rule everywhere. 

Needless to say, the Bats have more than a mild freakout the first time Damian mentions a twin who will be coming to the manor now that his mission is over.

I think modern au Skywalker Twins would both be equally obsessed with trains and hot wheels and shit based on how ship obsessed both of them are in canon. However they both have definitely gotten exposed to too many soap operas and so sometimes they have really intense races between their cars and sometimes they have elaborate car weddings where the cars marry each other and sometimes a train bursts in to interrupt the wedding to reveal they've been in love with the hotrod since they both had training wheels

Hi Jobey, hope everything is going well!

What's your opinion on AEG? For me frankly, the weird cartoon physics, bright colours and my strong childhood memories of and love for the model series make it impossible for me to watch, it just feels wrong for me.

Also, for better or for worse (in my case, the latter) AEG got a hold of our boi Donnie 😭

I love cartoon physics, they're very funny for kids and I think the genre's not a bad fit for an iteration of TTTE. Wilbert Awdry himself dug his Tom and Jerry cartoons lol, and sometimes you can really see the influence. I expect the next generation of TTTE fans will look back on this series very fondly, and we old fogies are just going to have to accept that or else go shout at some clouds.

I don't like the babyfaces at all (Thomas's is particularly punchable), but then again "the faces are too weird for me" has been every non-fan's criticism of every portrayal of the characters ever since 1945. Kinda how it goes. If you like the stories well enough, you'll learn to like the faces.

It seemed to me (as someone who never actually watched AEG) that the true sin of AEG is the severance of the TTTE universe from a recognizably Real World, with Real Jobs, and Real Stakes. RWS/TTTE is about community and service and, crucially, trains. It's not about 🌈i m a g i n a t i o n 🌈 and it's really irritating how tv execs keep trying to shoehorn that in.

All this is to say... I didn't know Donald and Douglas had been roped into AEG yet until you sent this ask!

i know in canon they arent even related but i think it would b extremely funny if link and linkle were twins and both grew up w their grandma telling them one of them is the hero or wtv and linkle took it to heart like she does in the game, and they grow up w that, link leaving it all to linkle and then he goes off to the army, to become a knight and then he finds out he's The hero and is like "... shit. linkle is gonna kill me over this"
