Simpler Times part 5

“The answer is 0.0000000000044y45x cubed!”

“Correct!” Teacher Vose said loudly. Zoon almost always knew the right answer to any math problem. After a half hour of math, Teacher Vose set the anxious kids down to cafeteria for lunch. The kids ran out of the classroom with their packed lunches into the hallway then downstairs into the large cafeteria. They all sat in their individual cliques and enjoyed their lunch for a half hour then out for another twenty minute recess.  The kids soon returned to the class room where Teacher Vose told them to get out their Science text books.

“Alright students turn to page one hundred thirty five, would anyone like to read for us?” When no answered their hand she picked on Twottis.

“Kas Zupwuba was a Frogoid scientist who discovered the law of relativity and the Big Bang as well as contributed theories concerning Star formation, black holes and evolution. He was born in 2167 in the Kooli region of Disp. Frogoids vary from green, blue, red and yellow, have yellow and black eyes on the top of their head, large nostrils, a wide mouth, and webbed hands and feet. They come from the planet Disp, in the Yor galaxy. Disp is covered in swaps, jungles, rivers and seas,” Three minutes later Teacher Vose is reading:

“When he was on the planet Fis, he was studying the Primates and their culture and evolution. They were hunters and gathers for millions of years, when the social hierarchy changed. Instead of hunting and gathering, they started to farm and settle down in one place. They started to cut down trees and build cities, and people started to own property and food. People began to rule over people; people started to kill each other in the name of money and power; civilization was born,” Five minutes later Cannis is reading:

“Reptilians for example are descendants of the dinosaurs from this planet, does anyone know when that happened?” After another thirty minutes, Teacher Vose was in the middle of the history lecture: “At the end of the Zokekn Period the Greys left their home planet Osis, also in the Anirobs after their self-caused ecological disaster made Osis unlivable. They covered the entire planet in these vast junkyards full of disgusting, rotting garbage that made the air toxic. Osis became a planet of gray stone deserts with black jagged mountains after they killed all the plant and animal life. Most of the population left Osis, with only a small minority staying behind and an even smaller minority surviving the ecological disaster by retreating to the oceans or caves where they built cities. Osis has recovered since then, but the population on Osis still hasn’t recovered since before the Zokekn evacuation; it is once again covered in forests and jungles as well as clean oceans. After the Zokekn Period is the Gigolosis period where the Greys colonized many planets across the universe; spreading their culture to many different planets and moons. This meant their love of large cities with tall sleek grey buildings, very advanced technology, ambient music, and round ships which are usually grey as well.  Many but not all of the planets that the Greys colonized had underwater or underground cities that they built just for themselves. Greys also are known for being able to meditate for days at a time without moving. Afterwards they say they reached enlightenment, and soon after they complete great works of art, or architecture, as well as wise political decisions. They say they leave their body at some point during their meditation, and visit other realms, and this is where they gain their wisdom. The Greys are also known for drugs; an hundred years before Osis became unlivable most of the population was dependent on these drugs. When I say drugs, I am specifically talking about pills, pills to speed them up so they can focus on the task at hand,  as well as pills that slowed them

I saw the endless siblings sleep-over idea so,I want to give you another because I love your art: you can make them interact when they were young,it's kind of canon idk, but death and dream when are young are simply adorable

I love the idea of Dream swooning over regular, average things when he's with Hob.

Hob going out in the morning still in his PJ's to fetch the mail? Dream is lovingly waiting for his return like a damsel up in her tower.

Hob makes slightly burnt toast and shrugs it off as salvageable if he scrapes the edges. Dream wishes to kiss every crumb off his face.

Hob sways his hips to a song playing on the radio as he shaves and Dream finds it mesmerizing.

The shuffling from the bedroom as Dream hears Hob getting dressed for work makes Dream want to shred them all off once again.

When Hob gives Dream a kiss goodbye before heading out, Dream savors the taste every second that he can.

For Dream, the mundane can feel so magical, so blissful, in a way like no other.

hey do you think the endless siblings have formal dinners because if they did sibling sleepovers/3am-shittalk-with-snacks it would just be the worst…

Dream: ghost story is too scary or metaphorical

Desire: invasive/tmi would-you-rather questions

Despair: rats eat all the snacks except the plain crackers and lemon slices or smth

Delirium: still talking at 5am

Death: insists the plain crackers and lemon slices are delicious

Destiny: reading light too bright

Omg that's so cute

I can imagine nobody listening or paying much attention to dream's storytelling other than death. Desire I can see gossiping into despair's ear and them both giggling to themselves, much to dream's dismay haha. Delirium would probably be constantly interrupting dream's story with questions about anything and everything. Destiny I don't think would be giving it any attention at all, reading a book through the entire night instead. I also think that overall, all the siblings would be adding unnecessary commentary on dream's storytelling, well-intentioned or not lol
