I’m so happy I got to go to this concert. I want to thank jules for getting me into this group I would’ve missed such a great show otherwise. My favorite songs were surprisingly their ballads (just for bc I tend to like other genres more) like “magic island”, “maze in the mirror”, and “trust fund baby”. I also enjoyed singing my little heart out to “loser=lover” tho it was my favorite moment for sure. Getting to hear the other members do parts of “lonely boy” was so great too I didn’t know if they’d do that so it made me smile. I’m so happy I heard “0x1=lovesong” live it makes me so unbelievably happy bc it’s one of my favorite songs ever and the audio was great bc I could hear everyone so clearly and the music was at a good volume. Also they surprised everyone by having iann dior come out and sing their new song “valley of lies” together it was so cool and I’d never heard the song until then so it was fun my first time hearing it was their first time singing it live!! it was such a cool surprise for sure! They were so sweet and so kind and they’re ofc very talented too. They promised they’d tour again soon Taehyun and Beomgyu said in a bigger venue so y’all know they know and I honestly didn’t want them to leave + them playing the behind the scenes of their concert vcr with “our summer” playing in the background had me tearing up cause you know me, I can’t get through that song without being emotional. Overall it was a great concert and I’m so glad I went. Would go again if I could, I’m definitely going to their next tour whenever it is. (ps: my mom snagged us a txt lightstick while I waited in line for us and I was pleasantly surprised haha also choi soobin is even more beautiful irl, they all are)

Tomorrow X Together make history as first K-pop act to perform at Lollapalooza

The K-pop boyband closed out their US tour performing to a huge crowd at the Chicago festival

Tomorrow X Together made history tonight (July 30) as the first K-pop group to perform at Lollapalooza in Chicago, appearing on the Solana x Perry’s stage.

The K-pop group recently completed the US leg of their first world tour, ACT: Lovesick, and performed at Lollapalooza as the final stop of their itinerary in the States.

Tomorrow X Together’s festival set also featured a live band, helping bring the five-piece’s songs to life. They kicked off the performance with their recent title track ‘Good Boy Gone Bad’, before launching into the ‘The Chaos Chapter: FREEZE’ song ‘Frost’.

Shortly after, the group invited rapper iann dior on stage with them to perform their recent collaboration, the English-language single ‘Valley Of Lies’. It was only the second time the two acts had performed the track together, following an appearance by dior at the band’s second LA concert last weekend (July 24).

TXT closed out their set with two tracks from the ‘The Chaos Chapter’ in ‘LO$ER=LOVER’ and ‘0X1=Lovesong (I Know I Love You)’. Watch fan-shot footage of the set above and below.

The group released their latest EP ‘minisode 2: Thursday’s Child’ in May. In a five-star review, NME said the record “the record “fully justifies [their] hype, continuing to position Tomorrow X Together as voices for their generation (and beyond) with songs that are both sublime in quality and evocative reflections of life’s ups and downs.”

Tomorrow (July 31), Tomorrow X Together’s label mate J-hope of BTS will headline the Bud Light Seltzer Stage at Lollapalooza, becoming the first South Korean artist to headline a main stage at a US festival. The final day of the festival will also include a headline performance from Green Day, plus sets from Dominic Fike, The Kid LAROI, Charli XCX, Måneskin, Horsegirl and more.

act: lovesick is strangely enlightening about the sequence of events for the star seekers lol. I think they performed all the magic island related songs in chronological order

what's fascinating is that, in the background, the clock is ticking backwards during opening sequence. which!! interesting... so is it not that far-fetched to say that tubatu is going back in time when they got in the train in the concert VCRs for act: lovesick? which I think is why they're seeing the events of the world outside the train, instead of going to a particular destination like magic island.

so it's like... maybe the girl (moa?) is leading them back to undo whatever they did in the past (burning magic island? taking the book from magic island and then setting the real world into icy chaos? whatever it is that happened in frost and eternally?)
