I had an awesome day today! My best friend and I made the 3 hour drive to Tyson's Square, where the DC AG store is located. We went to the Lego, Disney, and AG stores and ate lunch at the AG cafe. I figured I would share pictures of some of the displays (sorry about the glare in advance it was terrible in the store)

There were several cute Melody displays, but no dolls on sale.😔 I'm hoping that means she is selling well.

Other dolls also had great displays. I particularly like Maryellen's cafe display.

Percy and my bestie's Nanea joined us on our adventure and joined us in eating lunch.

Lunch was super yummy, even though my gastro doctor would have cringed at the gluten.

Lastly, I couldn't get the greatest pic of this, but I loved this display of the 35th anniversary dolls. We were interested to see the Beforever versions of these dolls were not available at all in the stores.

I didn't get pictures of the TM, BB, or WW areas as by the time we went downstairs it was getting super busy with lots of kids.

After our walk through, we grabbed our shopping bags and got to picking out our goodies! I will put up a second post showing what I got due to picture limits.

In all we had an awesome time!

There is old saying "The more you more you sweat in peace the less you bleed in War" its relevant on days like this if you Sump Pump goes out, you are going to feel helpless calling for help. Here are a few things that you can do to protect your Home that will only take 20 minutes. The only tools you will need are a flat tip screwdriver and a flash light you do not need to pay a plumber to do this. This is equivalent to checking your oil in your car "preventive Maintenance". ● Remove the lid us you flash light to see any noticeable debris, remove as needed. ● Pour 5 gallons of water in to the crock to cycle the pump. ● Listen to the noise. You want to hear a faint motor about 40db. Any strange clunks,pings.dings. My be concerning ● Watch the pipes when the pump is running and when it stops, to see if they need to be secured to structure, so they will not become loose. ● When the pump stops, you will hear water for a few seconds. If the noise does not stop or takes several minutes. Call the shop or your regular Plumber. Thats not right. ● Give the electrical wires a glance, and make sure they are plugged in all the way. ●use your screw driver to tighten any hose clamps that maybe on check valve. It can be very scary when water won't stop coming into your house, so these few check should givecyou a little confidence in your equipment. Lastly if you have lived in your home for 10 years and have not replaced your Sump Pump That may be luck, Some homes have pumps and the never run either because the drain was installed wrong or the drain is taking it away from the due to elevation. Now if you hear the pump run sometimes and it been 10 years. You really do want to have a couple plumbers look at what you have and give you a free quote for a new one. If you do need help with your Sump Pump when you are checking it out, feel free to call the shop we will talk you through it. Stay Dry. Hi guys! It's been a little while. I had to watch animals for a week and what a wild week it was. One squirrel got loose 4 separate times, once launching itself at my face. I got bit twice and another squirrel learned how to open it's cage door.😅 Also I dislocated my shoulder, but that's not abnormal for me as I have EDS. I absolutely crashed the next day but the day after that I went to the DC AG store with my bestie!

It's a 3 hour drive each way to Tyson Square Mall but we had a great time just talkingwith each other. The mall is huge and it seems we walked forever to get to the store.

I took tons of pictures of the new stuff!

And bought waaaaaaay more than I should have. Due to picture limits I'll post my haul in a separate post.

We had reservations at the cafe for lunch. I loved that our dolls could eat with us and they were given their own place settings.

The best part was no one saw two adults with their dolls as abnormal. The store employees were fans just like we were and enjoyed seeing our old dolls! (Kit is 18!)

We had such a fun time and my friend and I have agreed we'll need to do it again some time!

Good Eats

The hardest part of moving to a new place is finding your favorite go to restaurant. After months (four months to be exact) of trial and error we found our go to.

We took the metro one stop toward Wiehle-Reston and got off at the Tyson’s Corner stop, then walked a block to Founding Farmers! 

Let me tell you no matter what time or day you go that place is packed. You can reserve a table over the phone, but we always wing it and find a seat in the bar area. The service is amazing and the food is out of this world. My favorite thing to order is the steak (medium) and enchiladas. It comes with a steak, street corn (makes the dish over the top), and two enchiladas.
