just thinking about how. aiko is just. such a genuinely good & kindhearted person. like. even for his time, like, in his main verse, where the era of warring states had stopped relatively recently & a lot of people discouraged that kindhearted nature but he. genuinely didn't care. he may have compassion fatigue at times & he's by no means perfect & sometimes, as a genin, he'd be almost too merciful if there's unnecessary bloodshed outside of missions ofc, but hikaku & toka encouraged him to be kindhearted in a world full of people that tell him that you're supposed to Always Suppress Your Emotions. he's seen firsthand what that's led to. it's the entire reason why he decided to become a medical nin. after accidentally killing his own brother akio in his main verse in a training session (back then training wasn't as supervised as it is today) & seeing how many people suffered unnecessarily in times of war & how he himself was a victim of abuse by his classmates to the point of being assaulted by one of them (with said classmate being a hyuga & the hyuga clan's influence was very prominent, that's why he didn't speak up until years later when he was standing over his corpse while he bled to death in war & he did nothing to save him, only hushed him with a finger over his lips), that's the whole reason behind his purpose. he wasn't considered "uchiha enough" by the clan because he didn't have the sharingan like his older sister momoka because he failed to inherit it, but he's a skilled illusionist like his mother. he may be soft & kind & sweet but he isn't naive & that doesn't mean he can't snap at people & genuinely get angry at & hate other people bc he's still human ykno.

Brief Description:
Aiko has long, dark brown hair and wears it in a twin tail style. She has blue eyes.
She is the youngest child of Chihiro Osaka and Neji Hyuga, as well as their only daughter. Inheriting the Osaka Clan's shapeshifting abilities, she has been recognized as Chihiro's heiress, and a future head of the Osaka Clan. Despite her natural abilities and talents, she feels a sense of pressure to do well for both her sake and the sakes of her parents.
Aiko enjoys reading, especially non-fiction books. She has such a hunger for knowledge, and enjoys sharing her little fun facts with others (even when they are not necessarily wanted). Lately she has been reading anatomy texts, and is considering studying medical ninjutsu in the future. She is not afraid to speak her mind, and can be a bit too honest at times. But she always means well, and is quite a happy-go-lucky girl.
Like her brother and cousins, she has also studied Gentle Fist, even though she does not wield the Byakugan.

Original Character Post for World Goes On Series
The World Goes On is my series that studies specific characters from the fic ‘Bloodied Hands, Bruised Heart’, wherein Hikaku deals with many things including politics to try and see Madara step down or removed from his Clan Head position. Due to the fact there are hardly any characters in the Warring Clans Era, I have made many, many OCs for this series. Beneath the line goes through each named character along with a quick sentence about them and their position, as needed.
I would also like to mention these is only a list of all the characters who are mentioned by name in the main fic, as sharing a list of all the other OCs who never quite made it onto the screen seems pointless in my opinion.

Chapter XVI - The Week Before the Travel
If you thought your life has been through enough changes the moment you arrived at the Uchiha compound, the week before your husband’s farewell came to show you that there’s nothing that has already been through many changes that couldn’t be transformed a bit more.
The mornings were reserved to your shinobi training. You always used the same place of the day you learned how identify your chakra pathway, the garden. You liked it for its quietness and privacy: it was like whenever you were there, you could never be interrupted by someone or something unexpected. It seemed to work as a fence to another world, where time stopped just for you two.
Your progress came faster than you were expecting. Yes, it’s true that you were far from becoming a skilled shinobi like the ones you met there, but what you were capable of doing now were impressive when you considered that you were an adult who never had any preparation until then.
After learning how to control your chakra, your first challenge was to practice with kunai. When Madara put a blade on your hand for the first time and explained what you were supposed to do with it, you couldn’t feel anything but the uncomfortable weight of the weapon; you almost told him you didn’t want to hold anything like that again, but since you were going so far and you asked for that, you couldn’t look behind. When you found out you could transfer your chakra the kunai, holding it became strangely easier: your hand no longer trembled and you felt at will to throw it at the closest tree. The first time you did it, you ran to look at it closer and were surprised of how deep the blade entered the wood.
You then started to train your defense: for now, it was better for you to learn how to protect yourself and avoid conflicts, just as you wanted in the first place, and Madara stated that this part of your training would make things easier when you started to learn attack methods. This time you felt less difficulty to adapt because of the previous session you had before the ceremony; you also noticed the difference between striking using your chakra and just relying on your physical strength: your movements were more fluid, faster and well led. You felt less tired at the end too.
You were almost happy with your results when Madara decided to include the kunai in the process.
- But you almost don’t use any weapons when you’re fighting – you protested, using the vision you had with Hashirama as a parameter – Besides, if I won’t be attacking anyone I don’t need to know everything about a weapon right now.
His response was to laugh and disappear, taking the spot behind you right after; he held you neck and you felt something cold touching your skin. It didn’t take too long for you to recognize the sharp texture of the kunai. You froze.
- I forgot to say that these weapons are not only used for long-range attacks – he whispered to you – It’s not uncommon that a victim find themselves exactly like the way you are now. And what would you do in such state?
- I…
- It’s better to learn how to avoid it, right? – he replied for you – Besides, not everybody has the luxury of obtaining success in fights with their bare hands. For most shinobi, it’s unrealistic.
Yes. You almost forgot that, just like the Senju head, the Uchiha one was not a common man. Maybe if you had more contact with common shinobi you could have developed comparison methods that would sound more fair. But you didn’t say that to him. You just nodded and continued your training.
Later, by noon, it was the time when you were taken back home to clean yourself, eat and have a time to rest. You wouldn’t see your husband for a long time then: as the head of the clan and being busy with the preparations for the travel, spending the mornings with you was the best he could do for you now. Not only this, but you also thought that it wasn’t healthy for a girl to spend too much time in the company of a man, even if this man was as close to her as a spouse; you needed the company of other women too, and common people who had nothing to do with war and politics.
Fortunately, Ayane and Aiko kept visiting and taking care of you after your marriage, and while you developed an even closer friendship with the first, you started to see the second as a new mother life has decided to give you. Being with them, talking, eating and even working together (because after your insistence they allowed you to perform some of the house tasks) was refreshing; the moments you spent with them were of pure and simple joy, and worked as a period of rest from the intensity of your husband’s company.
One day, when you and Ayane were walking at the house’s surroundings, you finally had some time to continue that conversation you started when you were preparing for the wedding.
- So, y/n-sama… I hope everything went well during the wedding night.
There was no embarrassment in the girl’s words, so you felt at will to speak. You smiled and, before you noticed, you were speaking much more than you thought you would.
- Well, I… I don’t even know how to explain this to you! It was strange and incredible and… – you sighed and turned to her – Beautiful. At first, when you left me in that room, alone, dressed for the night, I was scared. I went to the porch to take some fresh air and to observe the stars. After some minutes, he came. I turned to him and it was like... I mean, now I was a married woman, about to be taken. I never felt the reality of my new condition so deep as during that moment.
You lowered your tone, and a sort of sadness was sensed in your words as you relived those memories.
- Do you remember the state in which I was brought here? I was still grieving the loss of my mother, and just lost my job and my house. But now I was given a new family, protection and a home. I wasn’t expecting this. It was so overwhelming that I started to cry.
You paused, trying to process your feelings. Ayane encouraged you.
- And what did Madara-sama do when he saw you crying?
A smile grew on the corner of your mouth and you sensed your face warming up.
- He hugged me and took me inside. He told me not to thank him with tears. I thought about that. He was right, you know? It was not the time to cry. Not anymore. He closed the porch’s door behind us and was going to start to touch me, but I was so nervous that I flinched at his first movement. He noticed it and told me to sit on the futon. He went there too and spent some time in silence, doing nothing, just looking at me. It was… unsettling, but not entirely bad. It was... – you sighed – Oh, it’s so hard to explain!
Ayane smiled.
- It’s alright. I think I know what you trying to say.
You felt relieved to see you were making some sense despite the confusion inside your head. This gave you the courage to continue speaking.
- You know how intense are Madara-sama’s eyes, Ayane. Every time he looks at me, I feel like all my clothes are nothing, because he’s looking inside me. As if I was naked from body and soul. That night it was the same sensation but deeper, so that I wasn’t sure I would be able to stand it. That was the first time something like this happened to me. It was scary to think that from that moment, I was going to be the wife of man capable of such thing.
You laugh at yourself at this.
- Tell me. Are all the Uchiha like this?
The girl laughed hard at your question.
- Well, none of them are exactly like Madara-sama, of course, but all of us who are Sharingan bearers have some intensity in our eyes. But I think that since you already experienced the strongest Sharingan of our time, you’d have no problem handling the other ones!
You smiled and were about to tell Ayane about the experience with the Mangekyo Sharingan, but something held your tongue. You somehow sensed that it was not the type of thing you should tell other people, no matter how close was your friendship with them; that was a pure, unique sign of intimacy that didn’t belong only to you, but to Madara as well. Something only for you two. You decided to tell part of the story then.
- There was a moment when he talked to me about his life – you started – He said he already experienced fear and loneliness. He told me he understood how I was feeling and that the best thing he could do for me was to share his experience. And it worked. Somehow our feelings started to blend as one, and I was no longer afraid. I finally let him touch me.
Ayane’s curiosity was only excited with this strange narrative of yours. She came closer to you, whispering as if someone could appear and interrupt the conversation at any moment:
- And how was it?
You looked at the sky when you replied.
- It was… wonderful. In a strange way. At first I was uncomfortable, and even thought I was going to get hurt, but little by little I got used to it. I felt like I was not alone anymore. I felt I was part of something again. Visible. Desired. I felt… safe.
- That is quite an explanation, I must say – she replied with a smirk – And then, what happened?
- Well, I felt a bit tired and ended up taking a nap – you laughed – But he took care of me when I woke up and spent the night by my side. It was weird, because I am not used to sleep with other people so close to me, but it was good.
You decided you were away from the house for too long and started the way back, hurrying up before a worried Aiko could go after you.
***
Your life was not only training and talking, of course.
Following the protocols established when you accepted the role of Sachiko, you had studying sessions about History, Politics and Arts to improve your intellect. Since you were used to a routine of books and research thanks to your experience as governess, it wasn’t that hard to stay for a couple of hours occupied with them, but when the evening approached you couldn’t resist to a period of rest. Aiko would bring you tea and food, and you either stood with her talking about your day or listening as she told you stories of her youth, Ayane’s childhood or important things you were supposed to know about the Uchiha, or went to your room to draw or play the koto while you waited for Madara to come back.
You skills with the carbon were developing in a satisfying rhythm now that you had more time to dedicate yourself to this pastime and less anxieties clouding your mind. You made countless sketches and finished many of them in the evenings when you were alone after the women left and before your husband arrived. Your memories, the people you’ve met and the places you’ve been – the entry of your first house, destroyed by war, the house of your adoptive mother, your room there; your lost friends, your mother, your student, Izuna, Aiko, Ayane, Madara; the garden you were training with him, the forest, the river – all was turned into art.
You also composed new songs or parts of songs for your koto when you weren’t feeling like drawing. You wanted to show some of them to Madara; they were better than that one you’ve wrote for your student, which was never played by you again.
You weren’t sure of how or why, but even before you could see him inside the room, you always felt the moment he arrived; you weren’t able to explain exactly how it happened, but you could feel what it seemed to be a sudden change in the air whenever he came around. You have noticed this trait since you met him for the first time, but it was like after your training sessions your capacity of feeling it has increased. You’ve been willing to talk to Madara about this strange sensation, but you didn’t know how to introduce the subject.
He would always come to see you by night, after finishing his activities and taking care of himself. He used to find you immersed on the strings of the koto or sitting on the couch, a drawing on progress on your lap. You always waited for him to start the conversations; despite the intimacy you managed to build in those few days, you still sensed you couldn’t invade some parts of the territory that belonged to him: if he had to tell you something about it, he would do by himself.
On the other hand, he was always interested in how you spent your days when you were not with him: he would approach you and sit by your side, surrounding you with one arm, and listen to you while observing your drawings or the way your fingers would slip through the instrument’s strings in an unconscious manner as you spoke; from time to time, he would use your pauses to make a specific question for something you didn’t explain so well or forgot to say, but most of the times his questions were directed to how you felt about the things you saw or what you thought of the situations you got through. It was strange in the first days, for you never were the type of speaking your mind so easily, but Madara had a way to find out the things he wanted and his questions were made in a smart, assuring manner, so you never felt forced to tell him anything. As time passed, you noticed that those direct talking about your feelings made you more good than if you kept all of them to yourself.
After those conversations, you would organize your things in the place of the room you reserved for them and prepare to go to bed. Sometimes you would spend a moment alone at the porch, but there were nights when the breeze were too cold for one to stand there for a long time, so you just let Madara close the door and went directly to the futon.
***
He took you most of the nights during that week. None of those times were exactly like the wedding night, but in all of them there was something you enjoyed most, whether it was the way he took care of you right after, how he allowed you to sleep in his arms or the things he said while touching you, praising your body, the smell of your hair or your voice when you said his name. At first you were afraid that you would always feel the same discomfort of the first time, but it didn’t happen: as time passed, it was like your body was slowly adjusted to his, and your pain diminished until it was almost gone. Between those nights there were one and another when he came later and you ended up falling asleep on the couch; there was a time when you thought you were carried by someone at some point of the night, but you weren’t sure if it was a dream or not until you woke up next morning on the futon and saw that your husband was already gone.
An important change that occurred was that instead of limiting himself to touch you, Madara taught you some of the things you were supposed to know as his wife, such as how to use your lips, your hands and even your voice to give and gain pleasure. For he was your first man everything was new to you, which sometimes led you to some uneasiness or doubt whenever something seemed too strange to you, but here you ended up knowing another side of Madara: he was an excellent communicator; none of these things were shameful or to be treated with secrecy, and neither he wanted you to see them as such, so that he would always speak clearly about his wishes and fantasies while encouraging you to speak about yours; he also sensed whenever you felt uncomfortable with something, even when you didn’t speak. It wasn’t the case that you had thought so much about these things before meeting him – you naturally knew it would be expected if you ever became someone’s spouse one day, but the thought was too vague until then; you were never too worried about it. However, now that staying with a man was a main part of your life, you started having ideas. It was a side of you haven’t discovered yet. And not only you, but Madara was more than pleased to know about this side.
There was a night when he noticed you were urging to tell him something, but refused to speak. You were already lying on the futon, your back turned on him, when you felt him surrounding your waist with his arms; soon you felt a soft kiss on your shoulder.
- You want to tell me something, don’t you? – you heard him whisper – What is it? Is there something bothering you?
Your face warmed up with the question.
- Not bothering me. It’s just that…
You sensed his arms tightening their grip.
- I see… – another kiss, longer and warmer – There is something you want to do.
You didn’t reply. His leg entwined with yours, his knee between your thighs. You were almost lying on your stomach, his body heating up your back, his nose smelling your hair, his hands starting to come and go all over you.
- Don’t be shy, girl. If there is something I do not approve, it is false modesty – he approached his lips from your ear, his voice so low you’d swear you were hearing it in your head – The rest I can handle.
You smiled and finally told him what you had in mind. It was funny that once your thought were turned into words, it seemed something simple, even silly, compared to some of the things he taught you. Still, he showed immediate interest and helped you with everything you wanted.

Rubrum - A Kakashi Hatake Fanfiction
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A/N: Sorry for the long wait, I struggled a lot with this chapter and had a hell of a writer's block while trying to finish this. I have no idea why it was so hard writing this one; the scene I chose out of Naruto was really hard to get written down in my opinion with all the different scenes, and the translations of the dialogue of the characters were difficult because I sadly can watch Naruto only in my native language here on Netflix.
I am not happy with this chapter, but hopefully you'll like it (maybe I'll re-write it in the near future).
The next chapter will probably take also a little longer because I have a lot to study at the moment, but we'll see...
(I don´t own Naruto nor the characters in this story except for my own characters.)

Chapter 2 - Sealed
There was something strange about Sasuke Uchiha...
Hannya knew about the strengths of the Uchiha-Clan; she had seen it with her own eyes.
But never, not even when they had used the Sharingan for a longer span of time, did any of the Uchihas looked so pained after such a short fight.
Her eyes did not miss that odd mark at Sasukes neck that seemed to swallow the boy before he gave out a cry of agony.
`This mark... I`ve seen it before.`, the woman´s eyes widened under her mask. `That´s why Orochimaru has infiltrated the Chūnin Exams with informants.`
Her head flipped to the side and her mouth was parted to formulate words of concern to the Copy-Ninja that had stood next to her, only to find an empty space on the spot where Kakashi was seconds before.
Sasuke had won. He had defeated Yoroi Akadō in a matter of seconds, only to collapse himself.
The only thing holding his upper body upright was his sensei who appeared out of thin air, supporting the boy with his legs as he stood behind him, seemingly unbothered by this whole situation.
But as Hannya looked in the direction of the other Jonins and found Aiko´s face laced with that familiar look of shock and fear, her concerns were confirmed.
The mark was Orochimaru´s work, and he wanted Sasuke.
"Hey, Sasuke!", Naruto screamed, leaning over the railing too far for her liking, "You may have won, but did a pretty stupid act doing it!"
The Uzumaki-Kid seemed oblivious to the whole scene, whereas the pink-haired girl next to him, Sakura was her name, had tears dancing in her turquoise eyes, daring to spill over.
Even as Kakashi looked as nonchalant as ever, standing behind Sasuke - his novel in one of his hands - she knew, that he had to be in panic. He must have known about the mark, and if he knew that, then he had an idea what or who she had meant with `Spy.` earlier.
The medical-nin´s were already heaving up the unconscious Yoroi on a stretcher as one of them approached Kakashi and Sasuke, offering to bring him to the hospital to get checked out as well.
It was clear for Hannya, that no matter if Sasuke will be taken to the hospital or not, she had to talk to Kakashi.
So, as she saw Sasuke leave the Arena with Kakashi, she had no other choice but to leave as well.
In order to still follow the Hokage´s wish for her to stay and observe the preliminaries, she performed the familiar hand signs on her way out; a shadow clone appeared, and went up the stairs again, taking her place.
There was no need for the woman to try to stay undetected as she descented the stairs to the celler of the temple, sooner or later Kakashi would sense her. Maybe... there was a chance he already knew she was coming.
She knew exactly where the two ninjas were heading.
Her feet leading her blindly through the familiar dark halls and finding a lightsource in the middle of the room with two shadows dancing around the walls.
Hannya´s eyes squeezed shut in agony, the painfull cry coming out of sasuke reminding her what it feels like to have a mark sealed.
                                      ⛥⛧⛥
"This doesn´t look like any Juinjutsu I´ve seen before..." Kakashi trailed off, his eyes looking thouroughly at the red mark at Hannya´s backside.
The woman´s head turned to the side, her eyebrows scrunched together. "Will you be able  to seal it?"
After Hannya had learned that Kakashi had mastered the Curse Sealing, she had been reluctand to ask him if he would teach her.
She didn´t want him to ask her any questions about it, especially because she, herself, still had unanswered questions about it. But in the end, she couldn´t avoid it, as he had told her if she wanted a mark sealed, she would need someone to do it.
He looked at her face, studying her features and what they could hide, once more before inspecting the mark again.
"Are you sure this is not a tattoo?" his forehead furrowed in question. One of his fingers lightly trailed the red runes that went from the center of the mark up to her neck.
A red tint colored the normally pale woman´s cheeks as a shudder went down her spine. She bent forward a bit, hoping to cut the contact between her back and Kakashi´s finger.
"Of course I´m sure, or do you think I would forget something like that?", she looked back at him again, rolling her eyes while doing so, finding his one smile-creased eye.
He sighed, his half-hidden face serious again. "Hannya... if me sealing your mark will somehow influence you or your chakra negatively, or even weaken you..."
Her hands went up and down her forearms, hoping it would soothe her own uncertainty. "Don´t worry, Captain." her lips forming a half-hearted smile. "If I notice anything, I will notify you first."
For Hannya, the next minutes were spent in agony as her squad leader performed the sealing. Her back felt like on fire, the burning extending over the runes running up and down her arms, to her lower back and her neck that were connected to the mark on her backside.
                                    ⛥⛧⛥
She heard a small chuckle coming from the Copy-Ninja standing above the unconscious Uchiha.
"At least you had the strength to stay conscious after the sealing.", Kakashi mused, making it known, that he knew she had followed them.
Steps echoed in the large space as Hannya walked out of the shadows towards the middle of the room.
"Well," she started. "Maybe I wasn´t as affected as hard because you failed to seal my mark." Her joking tone didn´t go unnoticed by Kakashi as he found her standing next to her, the masked figure facing the passed out Uchiha at the ground.
A chill went down Hannya's back, indicating another ones unfamiliar chakra source nearby.
Both ninjas straightend their back. They weren´t alone anymore. Hannya´s hand went to one of her katanas on her back in alarm, whereas Kakashi grabbed one of his kunais out of his weapon pouch.
The pair turned their heads simultaneous as they heard an unexpected familiar voice coming out of the shadows.
"My compliments Kakashi, so you think you are strong enough to use the Curse Sealing on one of my marks?" The Jonin that had accompanied Team Dosu to the exams stepped forward, his voice laced with venom.
A beat of sweat ran down Kakashi´s side of the face. His dark eye widening with realization as his grip on the kunai tightened.
"We haven´t seen each other for a long time, don´t you think?", the black-haired man laughed.
Of course...
Hannya walked forward, and gritted her teeth underneath her mask. "Orochimaru.", she spat.
The Sannin smiled. "Ah, the demon of Konohagakure. Little Hannya, it is a miracle to see you here. I had expected that he would have already found you...", he trailed off, stepping closer to the two ninjas.

——————————————————————————
*at a 5 Kage summit*
“We must kill off the Motsoyuki Clan! The Clan is an endangerment to all Lands.” The Raikage spoke loudly among his fellow kages.
“Hai. This seems to be the only solution to our problems. The Motsoyuki have caused mischief. They have terrorized all of our land and people. Do we all agree that we need to kill off their clan?” The Hokage asked. Hashirama felt bad that this was the only way to end the nonstop violence. Hashirama was a firm believer in accomplishing things through peace, but that clearly wasn’t an option now. This situation only made him think about Madara and the Uchiha. He hung his head down as he continued to ponder.
“Hai.”
“Hai”
“Hai”
“Hai”
Each kage had given their answer. The Motsoyuki had to perish.
——————————————————————————
“Lord Bako, Lady Yuki. We have heard that the kages have a plan to take out our clan. What shall we do about this?” Mako asked with a concerned tone. His job was to protect the clan with his life, a job of the branch Motsoyuki family.
“If it’s a war they want, they shall get.” Lord Bako remarked coldly, while smiling.
A war was had against the dangerous Motsoyuki clan. They were high in numbers with horrible motives. They had paid the price for their sins soon enough. The Motsoyuki clans numbers were reduced until they had gone into hiding into a secluded place not many had known about. By then, Lord Bako and Lady yuki had been killed off, leaving their oldest child to take over.
Lord Aiko and Lady Hana were the head of the head Motsoyuki Family. Long past the days of Hashirama and Tobirama. Just as Minato had died and the 3rd Hokage came back into power, a child was born into the Motsoyuki head Family.
“Her name is Hanai.” Lady Hana remarked while stroking her babies purple hair behind her ears.
“Beautiful name my lady. I trust that you picked the name?”
“Hai. What is it that you wanted to talk to me about?” Lady Hana asked the Branch family servant.
“Well I wanted to tell you that we should start preparing for the future reading of Lady Hanai. It is our tradition to see how useful the child is to the clan.”
“I doubt we need to do that. She was born into the head family. She will be powerful.” Hana remarked smugly while carrying Hanai around in her arms.
“Hai.Our baby will be powerful darling but it is still tradition. We must follow our clans customs.” Aiko walked into the room, and sat down.
“Well ok. We will hold the ceremony tomorrow.” Hana said. The branch family servant bowed down and walked out of the room.
Hana stared at her baby with soft eyes. She could only think of the potential her child could have. How she would replenish the Motsoyuki clan and restore their reputation. Her opinion changed as she couldn’t wait for the ceremony tomorrow. She would know just how powerful her baby was.
Hana hadnt spent much time thinking about the ceremony because it was already here. The next day had come so quickly it was almost like she only blinked in between times.
The Motsoyuki clan kekkei genkai was essential for the ceremony. The ability to see into the past of an individual, as well as future and abilities of the person was essential. The clans old ceremonies were much more barbaric. If young children were seen to be weak or a nuisance in the future, they would be killed on the spot. However the Motsoyuki had no time for such things. They were already low on numbers and had been reduced to a fraction of their clans original population. Now such children who were lacking in abilities were trained to be lowly servants for the head family.
“Konbanwa. Tonight we will be doing a reading of Lady Hanai of the Head Family. We will see her potential for this clan. Please commence the reading.” The organizer commanded.
A Motsoyuki member had placed their hand on Hanai’s small head and began reading. Their eyes were now a purple lavender color.
“She has acquired the Reading Abilities of the clan. The best of our clan. She will soon be able to tell much of a person by just looking at them.”
The members gasped and whispered. A fortune like that hadnt been heard in years. The last of the best readers of the clan had been killed off in the war.
“She will also have the ability to perform our jutsu, Dokukiri en juu Justu. It will be the most poisonous and powerful version of the Justu.” The reader continued.
People continued whispering. A widespread joy was felt among the members.
“She will be very skilled in kenjutsu by a young age. Also, she will-”
The reader had cut himself off. He couldn’t believe what he was seeing. Betrayal he found within her future, her near future.
“Someone in this clan will betray Lady Hanai. They will get close to her just to tear her down.” The reader had told the very last fortune.
Like clockwork, the members of the clan had started to whisper among themselves. A fortune of such was unheard of in Motsoyuki ceramonies. There weren’t many unloyal members of the clan before. If such a fortune was even seen in a child, there would be consequences.
“Please settle down. I know that fortune is a lot to take in, as we haven’t heard something like that in many years. Now we know Lady Hanai will be essential to the future of our clan. She will be our secret weapon. We will use her to fulfill our clans age old plan of ruling the Lands!” The organizer spoke once again.
Since then, 5 years had already passed and young Hanai had grown longer purple hair. She was taller and had worn a standard Motsoyuki clan dress. She would love taking walks on the clans grounds. Her branch family servant, Ekiko would follow her around to ensure her safety. Ekiko and Hanai were very close. Ekiko had been serving Hanai for the 5 years. Just as Hanai was born, Ekiko had just turned 14 and was a servant branch member. Hana and Aiko thought she would be best to care for their child.
As Hanai was walking, Ekiko had stopped her for a second.
“Darling. Halt for a minute. I must perform a task quickly. It won’t take up your break time, my lady.” Ekiko explained. Hanai shook her head in approval.
Hanai sat down in her spot where she was previously standing, thinking about her approaching training session.
She had been doing training everyday since she turned 4 years old. As the fortune told, she wielded the best of the clans kekkei genkai. She was able to tell so much about people by just looking at them. It was beautiful. Her eyes would turn from a warm brown color to a light purple color. Mastering the clan Justu was next in line. The jutsu required knowledge of all and any plants. Hanai had also been studying that since she was 3, so she had a great start.
But her obvious talents made her a target. Most of the clan just wanted to exploit her talents and use it for their own benefit. It was hard to find an unbiased teacher who didn’t want to use Hanai for her abilities. Everyone had their own opinion on how the young girl should be raised. The goal in the end would still be to use the girls abilities to benefit the clan after all.
Hanai sensed footsteps coming closer and closer to her. She couldn’t tell who it was just yet. Maybe it was another branch servant coming to check on her. She stayed calm and continued to sit still and relax.
Suddenly, Hanai was snatched up by 2 people. She started to scream for help.
“Ekiko! Help!” Hanai cried as they took her away. Other clan members had started to come out of their quarters. Some ran after the 2 assailants dressed in black hoods, but it was proved futile. The 2 were too fast.
Hanai was taken to a secluded area not far from the clans hideout. She was tied to a post. She continued to scream for help. She kicked with all her force but it did nothing. Hanai was no match for her captors.
“Please! Where’s Ekiko! She will save me!” Hanai cried.
There were 6 black hoods in total. One of them chuckled and then began speaking.
“Your beloved Ekiko has betrayed you, young one. She has forsaken you and turned against you.” He claimed. Hanai could feel the evil radiating from him.
“No! That’s not true! Ekiko loves me. She would never betray me!” Hanai shouted.
“Oh? Then who does this happen to be?” He asked while pointing to another person in a black hood.
The person faced away from Hanais sight and removed their hood. She turned to face Hanai.
“E-Ekiko? But why?” Hanai mumbled as a tear fell out of her eye. Ekiko turned her head. She couldn’t face Hanai.
The man continued to menacingly laugh.
“You see Lady Hanai, your beloved Ekiko had not cared about you.” The man spoke.
Hanai tried not to listen to the man. She couldn’t believe Ekiko betrayed her. She thought she could trust her. She loved Ekiko and the feeling was thought to be mutual.
“Now, Lady Hanai. Ekiko will remove your eyes and switch them with mine. We cannot give the clan future to just a mere child. Once I have your eyes, I will be able to get the clans attention. They will bow down to me and I will be head of the clan.” The man Revealed.
Hanai wriggled in her ropes but she couldn’t break free. As Ekiko moved closer to her, Hanais breathing became heavier. As Ekiko extended her arm towards Hanais face, Hanais eyes began to glow purple.
“Ah yes! Those eyes! They are what I want!” The man exclaimed.
Soon a member of the black hoods started screaming from seemingly pain. They dropped to the floor, holding their heads in agony. This pattern soon followed with the rest.
“Make it stop!” One shrieked.
The members continued to perish one by one until just Ekiko and the man was left.
“What have you done you brat! I demand to know!”
No response was heard. Hanais eyes were still glowing purple. She turned her head in the mans direction. He turned around and dashed away from Hanai and Ekiko, leaving just the 2 girls alone.
Hanai turned to face Ekiko. Ekiko began to hold her head and yelp in pain. Blood began to seep from her mouth as she screamed.
Suddenly, Hanais eyes went back to a warm, cozy brown. She felt weak and frail. She scanned her area and noticed Ekiko on the ground, barely clinging to life.
“E-Ekiko. Did I do this?” Hanai barely managed to choke out.
“Hai. But I deserve it. I betrayed your trust Lady Hanai. But I couldn’t let the people of the clan use you for their own gains. The Motsoyuki are evil people, Hanai. I wasn’t going to use your eyes on him, but on myself so that you wouldn’t have to usher in a horrible plan. It’s the duty of the branch family servants to protect their masters. I was just protecting you, but I failed. Gomen nasai.I love you and never forget that, lady Hanai.” Ekiko chocked out with ragged breath. She smiled as her life slipped out of her own hands.
Hanai’s eyes swelled with tears as she began to close her eyes. She was extremely low on chakra. She eventually passed out, still tied to the post.
Meanwhile, a jonin of the nearby leaf village was heading back from a mission. He had white hair, with a mask that covered his mouth. His shinobi headband covered one of his eyes.
As he was coming back, he spotted Hanai tied to the post.
“Hm. Well I guess it’s ok to make one pit-stop.” He said, smiling under his mask.
He sprinted towards Hanai. He pulled out a kunai knife and cut the rope. Hanais body fell limp in the mans arms. He delicately held her weak body and continued to sprint back to his village.
——————————————————————————
“Please, get her medical help as fast as possible. She’s very low on chakra and she feels very weak.” The white haired man said, as he handed Hanai to the medical nin.
“Hai. Arigato, kakashi” the medical nin said whilst holding Hanai in her hands now.
“Un” Kakashi shook his head and went to report to the hokage. He had just finished a mission. He had to capture 2 rouge ninja from the Land of Fire, which was a bit difficult to say the least. At least, he didn’t have to pull out his sharingan though. That was for special opponents.
In no time, Kakashi had reached the Hokage office. He went to the old mans room.
“Hokage-sama. The land of Fire’s rouge ninja have been caught and returned to their village.” Kakashi reported.
“Great Job Kakashi. Please go and rest.”
“Oh and one more thing. On the way back from my mission, I found a young girl. She looked about 5 years old. She was very low on chakra and weak. And more disturbingly, she was tied to a post with dead bodies surrounding it when I found her.” Kakakshi described. The nature of Hanais resting place when Kakashi found her was rather unsettling. He had time to examine the bodies and he couldn’t even figure out what exactly had happened to them.
“What’s her status now?” The Hokage asked.
“She is now in the care of Konohas medical-nin. She should be receiving treatment.” Kakashi stated whilst walking out of Sarutobis room.
The Hokage peered out of his office window, looking out to his people. The people of Konoha were his top priority, and now that a little girl was brought there he would do everything to make her feel welcome and at home.
“Hokage-sama”
“Hm”
“A little girl was brought into the hospital today.”
“Yes I heard. Kakashi told me. He said he was the one who dropped her off. How is her condition?” Sarutobi was generally curious. The gentle old man hoped the girl was ok.
“She is stable. She seems to be a very smart young girl. We just don’t know what clan she’s from.” The man said.
“I will visit her and talk to her myself. Arigato.” Said the Hokage. He walked out of his office and started for the hospital.
——————————————————————————
Concurrently, Hanai was laying in a hospital bed, eating a bento box. Since she was so polite, a medical-nin let her have it.
Bento was her favorite meal. It basically had everything she liked in one plate. Meat, Rice, veggies. Her family’s servants would make it for her very often, as she would request it so often. Her and Ekiko would eat Bento together when Hanai was on break from training.
Hanai sighed at the thought of Ekiko. Suddenly, her appetite was fading and instead of enjoying her food, she began picking at her food with her chopsticks. She really missed Ekiko.
Just then, the Hokage walked into her hospital room, catching her attention. She looked up at him, and her eyes started to glow a purple lavender color once again.
“Konichiwa. I am the-
“You are the Hokage of this village. You are called Sarutobi. Thank you for coming to see me.” Hanai said whilst cutting off the Hokage.
“Ah. I presume you are of the Motsoyuki clan. That trait is very common among them. The Kekkei Genkai of the clan, if you may.” The Hokage responded while walking closer to Hanai.
“Hai. I understand that people target my clan so I chose not to tell anyone who I was.”Hanai stated. For a 5 year old she was very good at articulating her words.
“Well, now that you are stable and in good condition, would you like someone to take you to your clan? It’s up to you.”
“I-
Hanai paused for a second. Ekikos words resurfaced in her mind.
“ But I couldn’t let the people of the clan use you for their own gains. The Motsoyuki are evil people, Hanai. I wasn’t going to use your eyes on him, but on myself so that you wouldn’t have to usher in a horrible plan.”
If the clan really wanted to use her for their own gains, she couldn’t go back to them. The people of Konoha had treated her nicely so far, so why not stay here?
“I would like to stay here. I don’t want to go back to my clan.”
Sarutobi patted the girls head. He smiled a big smile and then began talking.
“I’m glad you want to stay. You will be given money each month with your own apartment and clothing. If you want to, when you turn 8, you can enroll in ninja school and become a Kunoichi! I’m sure you’ll make a fine shinobi.” The Hokage said as he walked out of the room with a smile on his face.
Hanai smiled at the Hokages joyous nature. It was a breath of fresh air from all the gloom in her life.
——————————————————————————-
Another week passed and Hanai was released from the hospital. A jonin was now escorting her to her new apartment. They asked her if she would need anyone to stay with her but she was almost certain she didn’t need it.
Sure she did grow up so far with people attending to her every whim, but she could fend for herself, right?
As she was walking, Hanai witnessed a boy being pushed down and yelled at. An old man was refusing to let him buy something. The surrounding people stared at the boy. Hanai pulled the Jonins hand and told him that she wanted to buy something.
She approached the old mans store and held out her cash. The little boy was still on the ground. His tears were threating to spill out. Still, his eyes followed Hanai.
“Sumimasen. May I have this one please?” Hanai asked, pointing at the object the little boy previously asked for.
“Of course, sweetie.” The old man responded nicely. He happily gave Hanai the object while scoffing at the sight of the blond little boy on the floor.
“Arigato”
Hanai turned to face the boy, who looked about her age. She held out her hand to his face. He grabbed her hand and walked with her back to the jonin who was now becoming impatient with Hanai.
“What’s your name?” The boy asked Hanai.
“Hanai desu.” Hanai continued to hold the boys hand as her eyes glowed purple. The boy watched in awe.
“You are Uzumaki Naruto. The 4th Hokages son. The people here are mean to you.” Hanai mumbled as she hung her head down. She felt bad for the boy. She looked into his past, he hadn’t done anything to deserve the ridicule. She just couldn’t understand it. Maybe it was an adult thing.
The boy wiped his nose and eyes, sniffling still. The jonin was slightly far up ahead than the 2 children. They all almost reached their destination.
“How come I’ve never seen you before?” Naruto asked.
“I’m not from this village. I was found unresponsive by a jonin of this village. He brought me here. I’ve decided to stay.” Hanai remarked.
“Yay! A new friend!” Naruto exclaimed while jumping up and down. Hanai couldn’t help but giggle at the boys energy.
“Hanai. This is our stop. It seems to be right next to Naruto’s apartment. So you 2 can play together all day. Here’s your key.” The jonin said whilst handing Hanai her apartment keys. He walked away from the 2 children and left them alone.
Hanai glanced at the object in her hand. She held it up to Naruto’s face.
“Here you go. I bought it for you.” Hanai explained.
“Huh? For me? Nobody’s ever done that before.” Naruto murmured. He took the thing from Hanais hand and stared into her now again brown cozy eyes.
“I’m glad you like-
Naruto engulfed Hanai in a hug to her surprise. She slowly lifted her hands and put them around Naruto. Hanai gently patted his back. She could tell that he hadn’t been shown much affection.
Naruto broke the hug and invited Hanai inside. Ekiko had taught Hanai to always be polite towards others, so she happily obliged. She wanted to get to know more about Naruto. He was her next door neighbor after all.
“So Hanai, what is your favorite food? Mine is Ramen!” Naruto exclaimed while smiling a wide smile. Hanai lightly smiled at Naruto.
“Bento is my favorite. Maybe tomorrow I could take you out for ramen, if you’d like?” Hanai asked with a smile on her face.
Naruto’s face lit up in response.
“Ramen! Ramen! Ramen!” He chanted, as he danced around his apartment. Hanai giggled loudly as if someone was tickling her.
“Then tomorrow. Oyasuminasai, Naruto.” Hanai solemnly grinned. She walked over to him and kissed him on the cheek. Hanai walked to his door, and left.
Since then, the 2 had been a great pair. However, Hanai would meet many people who would change her life for the better, and for worse.
