based on the idea i had when i was analysing the newest WH update so obviously spoilers for that. anyway enjoy <3

It had been a few days since Homewarming festivities had ended. 

Eddie had left the party abruptly that day, and no one had really seen him since. It was a point of concern for everyone... but also no one really knew what to do. 

Frank had spent the past day asking and looking around, clearly reaching his peak of concern. Initially, he thought that Eddie just needed some time for himself. He looked overwhelmed when the two of them had made eyecontact, and it was best to let him take some time off. But eventually he couldn't wait any longer. He started by asking some of the neighbours, but they came up with nothing.  

“He did look awfully tired...” Sally sighed, “But I don’t think even Eddie could sleep that long...”  

“Have you seen him leave the post office since?” Frank asked, using the question that he would proceed to ask every other member of the town. 

“Hmm... now that you mention it...” She pondered, “I haven’t no... I support the sentiment of going to check on him, though.” 

“Eddie was supposed to deliver some things to my shop!” Howdy threw his hands up in despair, “I haven’t had my batch of new stock... but Eddie is more important. I just hope hes okay.” 

“Maybe... he’s doing something that's taking a long time...” Julie remained her joyful self, “What if he’s making us a surprise?!” Frank appreciated her ideas, but this wasn’t helping. He thanked her and moved on. 

“Oh dear, I do hope he’s okay...” Poppy placed down her baking tray, “I’ve been so busy baking and trying out this new cookbook that it’s completely passed my mind... Would you keep me updated?” 

Barnaby seemed to be the most passive about the situation, “Eh. Maybe he’s just holed up in there for a reason.” He shrugged, “He’ll come out of there on his own. I’m sure of it.”  

“Very nice of you, Barnaby,” Frank rolled his eyes, “I’ll keep you updated, I suppose.” 

Frank took this as the last stand. He began his march towards the post office across town. It wasn’t that far of a walk, but it felt like hours. The dread building slowly, making Frank worry about what on earth he would find in there.  

He had to tell himself that Eddie was fine, and that he would walk into the office and find him doing something incredibly mundane, like organising the mail or sweeping up bits of paper from his latest craft. 

“Where are you going, Frank?”  

A voice cut through his panicked thoughts. He jumped in surprise, immediately spinning around to be met with a familiar empty stare.  

Wally Darling... 

“O-Oh! Wally!” Frank stammered, “What a... pleasant surprise...!” He tried to pull of his shock in any way that wasn’t a weird mild fear he suddenly had, “I’m... going to visit Eddie! I haven’t seen him since Homewarming so I was worried about him.”  

“Oh...” a very blunt response, “That’s very nice of you.” Wally pulled his best smile he could, considering he had some kind of permanent grin anyway. Frank smiled back, but it was more of a strained grin.  

“Good luck, Frank.” Wally didn’t move, hinting at Frank to make his own exit from the conversation.  

“Ah... Th-Thank you.” Frank hurries off, leaving Wally to watch as he leaves. 

The door to the post office was covered by the blinds that Frank didn’t know it had. It also looked completely dark inside, adding to the dread. Frank tried his best to peek inside, but it was futile. He thought it would be best to just go inside. 

Frank took a deep breath... and opened the door slowly. 

The lights were off inside, as he has suspected, but there was no sign of life either.  

“Eddie...?” Frank could barely speak, his nerves getting the better of him.  

He looked around the empty room. It wasn’t in any sort of disarray, rather that it was organised. Like it had been untouched for a while. Not a speck of dust though, as if something had been looking after it, or it had become stuck in time without Eddie. 

“Hello...??” He calls out again, standing in the middle of the main room. He had spun around a few times, hoping maybe one turn would help him find something he hadn’t seen before. Unfortunately, it didn’t work like that, and he knew it.  

Frank went behind the counter, into the back room. On the counter in front of him was Howdy’s parcel, wrapped and assigned to him. Eddie was going to deliver it before whatever happened to him or wherever he went.  

Panicking further, Frank rushed out of the back, and then trying to find an upstairs or where Eddie would have been living. Off in the corner of the room, there was a very plain looking door, leading Frank to suspect that it was potentially what he could be looking for.  

He approached, took another much deeper breath this time, and placed his hand on the door handle. He hesitated for a few moments, the dread lingering harder than before. He had a voice in his head screaming that something very bad had happened to Eddie... or he had done something to...

Eddie would never. He’s probably just having a bad spell, and he’s be fine... 

In a swift movement, he turned the handle and flung open the door.  

Silence. 

Eddie’s room was completely untouched. It has been perfectly organised and cleaned. Not an item out of place. It was unsettling, to say the least.

A shiver went down Frank’s spine... He was completely clueless.

Every hunter has their origin story and most are steeped in the blood of a loved one-—and Seoyeon is no different. Born as the second eldest in what can only be described as a painfully average and healthy family, she had dreams of practicing animal medicine and had little worries save for juggling her studies and the social life typical of a young woman her age.

One simple night was all it took to rapidly change the trajectory of her life. One wrong place, one wrong time and everything had come crashing to a halt, her old life and future ahead left as shattered pieces at her feet.

She couldn't tell you the creature the American hunter had been after, the creature whose life had been more important to take than her family's life had been to preserve. COLLATERAL, she'd come to know it as. The lives of her loved ones reduced to something as inconsequential as a meager word for this hunter to mumble later when recanting the situation.

She couldn't tell you a thing about the creature the hunter had been 'saving' mankind from, but she could tell you everything about HIM, about the monster slayer. His eyes, the curve of his nose, the way he had gripped the pistol he'd fired round after round from until both the creature and her family lay bleeding (SILVER bullets, she'd learned later). She could tell you the fleeting look he'd given her, how he'd fled (not like a brave hunter, but a COWARD). Most of all, she could recall the burning rage she'd felt in that moment. A clashing of grief and anger, hurt and unbridled fury.

Laid with the cooling bodies of her loved ones, so too laid her old life and the future she'd once strived for. The monster, the creature slain-—now shifted into a mere man, another corpse amongst the rest. Here now resided who she would come to be.

She researched, she learned, she delved into a world previously hidden to her. She came to know every creature that went bump in the night and, more importantly, she came to know just exactly the sorts that hunted them. Many had noble intentions and many held their codes and had their systems in place-—but some, far too many were reckless. Stricken with grief and rage like she and it had made them careless, made them selfish. They hunted without regard to anything else, blind to anything beyond their own violent goals, uncaring as to the corpses they left in their wake as long as the big bad monster was amongst them.

Dogs, she'd thought. Like hunting dogs gone rabid. No longer helpful, but feral and violent. They were like rabid dogs and someone needed to put them down. And so she did. In a world that held no checks and balances, she became them. In a world where these hunters played judge, jury, and executioner...so too did she become theirs.

She came to hold the reputation of ANIMAL CONTROL, a hushed and whispered and often spat moniker uttered like a cautionary tale to those who toed the line just a bit too closely. A reminder to hunters of the supernatural to keep their heads clear and their intentions pure and just and their hunts free of 'collateral' lest they have animal control on their trail.

comfort film: and so we threw the goldfish in the pool. it ended up on my youtube recommended after watching the trailer for we are zombies and like... idk. it's a comfort film and it makes me want to cry in the /pos way.

okay i totally jsut realized i jumped back into using this site like i didnt delete my entire old blog. so. you might be asking: "julia who the fuck are hanamoto and fujimaru and why do you keep tagging posts as them" they are two of my favorite characters for two totally different reasons and i would do anything for them

this is going to get long. fair warning. i'm just gotta put a cut

fujimaru is fujimaru takagi from bloody monday. i dont recommend you read bloody monday i'm just irrationally attached to the series because it got me through a time. i literally only have these pics of him and otoya for some reason but fujimaru's the one with the dark hair

he's my worst son and i would do anything for him. he's a hacker and the series has some of the funniest scenes where he ends up teaming up with a counterterrorism unit called Third I and all his companions are in a circle kicking peoples asses around fujimaru who is hunched over a laptop furiously typing like "5 more minutes guys, i got this!!" he's a weak little shithead nerd and i woudn't have it any other way. i have a tattoo of a falcon as a long joke about this guy (also because falcons rule). he's not my first bird aligned fave but he's sure up there on characters that impacted me. i totally didnt realize how many emotions i still have about this guy until i started writing this part of this post. if i reread bloody monday i'm sorry (i'm not sorry) it's the residual fujimaru in my brain.

one time i think in bm2 he blew up a whole room by scattering a bunch of flour in the air, turned directly to the camera, and said "the internet can teach you anything!" he is a menace to society.

bloody monday 1 is good, bloody monday 2 is okay, i do not talk about bloody monday last season. the drama adaptions are, to my recollection, fine! but also i last watched them about 10 years ago so take that with a grain of salt.

fun fact, the guy who plays otoya in the bloody monday drama(s) is the same guy who plays den-o. i haven't seen den-o but its just another one of the "the descent into toku was prophesized" moments like me being obsessed with okkusenman as a kid.

i would say i think otoya and fujimaru should kiss but i think fujimaru doesn't deserve otoya. otoya is too good for him.

hanamoto is shuji hanamoto from honey & clover. he is my UM UM UM HE'S MY UH HE;S WHEN when you um when you feel what dyou he's uhhhh him. he's he. he's the guy in my icon :)

shuji hanamoto makes me feel every emotion known to man. i dont know what the juice is that was put in him that makes him so poppin. a couple years back i was chatting with a friend at the time about the series and we were like "yeah the beauty of honey and clover is that each time you read it you relate with a different character more" which is absolutely true but also 100% the bitch of all time has to be hanamoto for me. i started reading this series in shojo beat magazine back in middle school to give perspective on how long this man has haunted me.

should i get into hanamoto gay theory? i think i should get into hanamoto gay theory. mostly because i can't recommend the series knowing the ending unless i tell you about (and make sure you're also subscribed to) hanamoto gay theory. hanamoto is blatantly in love with his old (dead) college buddy harada and it hurts me to my core. please observe:

^LOOK THERE IS NO HETEROSEXUAL EXPLANATION FOR THIS. ME, MY BOYFRIEND, AND MY BOYFRIEND'S WIFE. they weren't just friends to me, they were my world. and before anyone tries to tell me this means that hanamoto must also have feelings for rika, the way that he acts around her is like, borderline paternal. harada is like the only one that he shows anything romantic towards, he's just a dad to everyone else really. he's protective but that doesn't equate romantic. which, i am not going to spoil the whole series, but it makes sense. god. oh to be two boys and breathe the same air... oh to be two boys and make art together and spend the most precious time of your life together in the same home and eat the same food and breathe the same air.

THAT'S HANAMOTO BASICALLY. THAT'S WHO HE IS TO ME.

tl;dr question i didn't actually answer above "why do i do this" theyre just aesthetic tags lol but instead of actually tagging the proper aesthetic names i use character names because its more fun and i like them :) i think these boys are neat and i like them :) no i dont know how to use pinterest and i refuse to learn that site scares me
