in the 21 years since morrowind's release people are still analysing the 36 sermons across all kinds of tumblr posts and various forum posts and reddit threads and websites made literally for the sole purpose of dissecting it and everyone always analyses it through their own unique lens, some people interpreting through their own very personal experiences and others through their knowledge of the occult or history or ancient literature and no one has come up with a reading that's exactly the same. everyone's getting something different out of it
and i think this is probably the case in-universe as well. the sheer number of essays on the sermons is probably like, quadruple the number in universe than irl considering it's basically the dunmer bible lol. hundreds of years of thinking about it and by extension vivec and everyone coming to different conclusions aaaaaaand basically . yeag. Who's Vivec?

theres only 2 people on this earth who will understand my lila-vivec thoughts. me. and also me, but in my head
#t#something something the sermons are an uiw-am and vivec is either a patron noosphere dweller or mephals is. lalala#tes#also ill be honest and say i have only read bits and pieces of the sermons and never read them In Full in one sitting and dissected them#entirely myself#i thought maybe i Shouldn't post this if i have not read it all myself but also it's games and also my blog so who cares

MODERN APPEAL TO ANARCHY ENTRY 4 OTHER MONSTERS
"Cyber addiction" By Paco Afromonkey Puente --- "Vigilantism is often explained as a consequence of distributive injustice (Exline et al. Citation2003). Thus, when citizens are dissatisfied with the outcome they receive and sense that the authorities have failed to provide the service they expected, they are more inclined to act as vigilantes." - Edri-Peer, Ofek, and Nissim Cohen. (Source at end of post) --- Last time, I discussed Luigi and the foolish way he can be confused for a hero. In summary, while there are valid reasons to support his animosity towards his targets for unfair practices, the ends do not justify the means. In the end, Luigi (or whoever is responsible, note that this was written BEFORE the conclusion of his case) is a murderer and no amount of sugarcoating should allow him to avoid accountability. However, notice that my distaste in the post is both directed at Luigi and the image the media presents about him. Media coverage of Luigi Mangione’s case has been deeply polarized. Some outlets portray him as a vigilante hero fighting corporate injustice, while others cast him as a dangerous terrorist or cold-blooded killer. Some believe Americans need “a movement to end the exploitation and crimes done by health care corporations,” lamenting that the “’Free Luigi’ fever didn’t get us far enough” This kind of outcry treats Mangione’s act as some sort of noble act, like I mentioned before. Of course this would inspire others. They believe Luigi was fighting against a core evil, taking any cost to do so. On a black and white scale, this does create a hero. So just what was this issue? "Democracy Now!" shows and emphasizes public outrage at the health-care system: it reports an “outpouring of rage on social media directed at the health industry,” noting that many people shared stories of denied claims or lost time with sick relatives. With this, we can see just how these groups are mistreated, so it makes sense for them to appeal to anyone makes a change or sparks valuable discussion. By contrast, other media highlight the violence and criminality. Both perspectives have every right to do so- a "hero" shouldn't kill in cold blood. --- Check out some stuff about Luigi's appeal! When Chiropractic Care Goes Beyond Humans: Healing Horses, Dogs, and Communities || Dr. Emir Lervy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=phyXgPOi6s4 On today’s episode of the Informed Chiropractor podcast, Dr. Don MacDonald is joined by Dr. Emir, a Northern Ireland chiropractor who shares her journey from growing up in a family deeply rooted in holistic health to establishing her practice in 2008. Inspired by her mother’s recovery from sciatica and her brother’s improved sleep through chiropractic care, she pursued studies at the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic. Initially trained in a mechanistic approach, she transitioned to a vitalistic philosophy after rediscovering foundational texts like the “Green Books” and attending seminars emphasizing nervous system resilience. Her practice now blends human care with animal chiropractic, where she adjusts dogs and horses, observing their instinctive post-adjustment responses like yawning and relaxation. Dr. Emir’s work extends beyond her clinic through community initiatives, such as monthly visits to a local school to check and adjust teachers. She integrates polyvagal theory to help patients recognize stress signals such as tense shoulders and irritability, and teaches techniques like diaphragmatic breathing to build resilience. Emphasizing the importance of presence, she balances clinical work with outdoor activities and mindfulness, advocating for small, daily practices to counteract being overwhelmed. For new chiropractors, she advises confidence, trusting one’s skills, and avoiding perfectionism, urging practitioners to prioritize patient connection over rigid protocols. 0:00 – 6:16: Background of Dr. Emir 6:16 – 6:31: Early Influences and Career Path 6:31 – 8:31: Transition into Practice & Learning Journey 8:31 – 12:00: Chiropractic Techniques and Animal Adjustment 12:00 – 16:48: Polyvagal Theory & Practical Application 16:48 - 21:47: Advise For New Chiropractors 21:47 - 23:46: Final Thoughts 🔔 Ready to transform your chiropractic skills? Help: FOB song sounds like 80s/90s pop song
Help: FOB song sounds like 80’s/90’s pop song Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this, but I need help finding this song from the 80’s/90’s.So Fall Out Boy has the song “A Little Less Sixteen Candles, A Little More ‘Touch Me’”. The chorus has this bouncy melody to the lyrics, coupled with the guitar riff that matches, and it sounds like a pop song from the 80’s or early 90’s.The pop song is sung by a woman, I believe, and the chorus has almost the same exact bouncy melody. Like, four to eight notes are identical. I used to work at Chili’s like 5+ years ago and this song would play when I couldn’t Shazam the melody.Does anyone know what song I’m talking about? I’ve spent literal hours searching for the song on multiple occasions. It’s driving me insane.Link to FOB song: https://youtu.be/vtZpP1QIHSU?si=iRZd0qvagYUr-Uiw Submitted June 05, 2024 at 08:24AM by BringMeNightmares https://ift.tt/Apy5cwS via /r/Music

UTEP to Play at Big Ten’s Northwestern Saturday Afternoon
EL PASO, Texas – UTEP will take on a Big Ten program for the first time in 11 seasons when it heads north to take on Northwestern on Saturday afternoon. The Miners and Wildcats are set to kick off at 1:30 p.m. MT on the Big Ten Network while the game will be broadcasted on 95.5 KLAQ
UTEP (1-1) is coming off a 28-14 victory against UIW on Sept. 2 in the Sun Bowl as the Miners ran past the Cardinals with 329 yards on 50 carries and a pair of rushing scores - 40-yarder by Torrance Burgess Jr., and a short-distance rush by Mike Franklin. Deion Hankins ran over and around UIW defenders for a career-high 174 yards. Gavin Hardison added two touchdown tosses with Jostein Clarke and Tyrin Smith being on the other end of those scores. The Orange and Blue shut out UIW in the second half as senior Tyrice Knight racked up a career-high 16 tackles, while adding a sack and 2.5 tackles for loss to lead the defense. James Neal also tallied a sack, while senior S Trejon Hugue performed well in his first career start, posting a career-best six tackles and a pass breakup in the end zone on a fourth-and-2.

The UTEP defense has allowed just seven points in the second half this season yielding a TD during the third quarter at Jax State a few weeks back.
NU (0-1) is coming off a 24-7 setback at Rutgers to open the 2023 campaign. Rutgers jumped out to a 24-0 lead before Northwestern found the end zone with 19 seconds remaining in the game. The Wildcats have lost their last 12 contests dating back to last season as their last win came during the ’22 season opener, defeating Nebraska, 31-28, in Dublin, Ireland. NU hasn’t won on American soil since beating Rutgers 21-7 on Oct. 16, 2021 in Evanston.

For UTEP, it will mark its second ever contest in the Land of Lincoln since winning at Northern Illinois in 1996. UTEP last faced a Big Ten team on Sept. 22, 2012 during a 37-26 loss at Wisconsin. The Miners were down four points (23-19) midway through the fourth before the Badgers ran off a pair of touchdowns late in the contest.

The Miners find themselves opening at a one-point favorite. However, UTEP Head Coach Dana Dimel won’t let that fool anyone as NU is still a Big Ten program in the Power Five Conference.
youtube
“You know, it's a team that's really hungry. I know that they're a very hungry team. I know they played good football and they're a very competitive football team. They're a new team this year,” Dimel said. “They got some young safeties and corners and another corner that's coming back, that's an experienced player, a real physical player as well. So, they don't have many weaknesses across the board. They're real fundamentally sound defensively. They play their gaps and they're playing very well and they're well coached defensively. It's a defensive package, that is very proven throughout college football.”

RUN DMT ON 80’S NIGHT
RBs Deion Hankins, Torrance Burgess Jr., and Mike Franklin each eclipsed their career highs in rushing yards against UIW, combining for 312 yards against the Cardinals. The trio combined for 43 carries, averaging 7.3 yards per attempt.

His previous best was 138 against FAU last season. He’s the second Miner ever to rush for 174 yards as Lee Cargile did it against West Virginia in 1950.
ANOTHER ONE
RB Deion Hankins added his sixth-career 100-yard rushing game when he hit a career-high 174 against UIW. Hankins rushed for 138 yard against FAU and 112 at Charlotte last season. His first 100-yard game came in the 2020 season opener against SFA with 113. Hankins also rushed for 118 yards at ULM and 119 at Charlotte in 2020.
FAST START
RB Deion Hankins has rushed for a team-leading 228 yards the first two games, ranking second nationally and first in Conference USA. Hankins is tied 20th at 114.0 yards rushing per game.
OVER 2K RUSHING YARD
RB Deion Hankins, after rushing for 174 yards against UIW, hit over 2,000 yards with 2020 in his career. Hankins is 146 yards from breaking into the program’s top 10 list. Fred Wendt ranks 10th with 2,166 yards rushing and Pug Gabrel ranks ninth with 2,321 yards on the ground.
TORRANCE TEARING IT UP
RB Torrance Burgess Jr. jetted past UIW defenders on his way to a career-high 85 yards rushing on 10 carries. He added his first career touchdown on a career-long run 40-yard dash to pay dirt. He led the Miners with 58 yards last week and ranks second on the team with 143 yards rushing. Burgess Jr. ranks top 100 in FBS in yards per attempt (6.5 avg.).

A CREDIT TO THE O-LINE
The UTEP offensive line, which averages 6-foot-4, over 307 pounds kept the line of scrimmage in check. The line composed of Steven Hubbard, Justin Mayers, Andrew Meyer, Elijah Klein and Zuri Henry pushed the UIW defenders backwards as UTEP running backs moved forward, never being tackled behind the line of scrimmage on their combined 43 rushing attempts.
CONSECUTIVE STARTS ON THE O-LINE
Senior RG Elijah Klein has started the last 40 games in a row on the offensive line. String of consecutive contests started on Nov. 2, 2019 at North Texas.
FIRST CAREER TD
WR Jostein Clarke hauled in his first career touchdown on a 13-yard reception in the second quarter against UIW.
3RD-DOWN CONVERSIONS
Part of UTEP’s success on Saturday night were third-downs. The Miners converted 67 percent (6-9) of their third downs against UIW. It’s the highest under Dana Dimel, and the best conversion percentage since hitting on 10 of 13 (77 percent) against North Texas to close out the 2016 season.
TD IN ALL 4 QUARTERS
In Saturday's win over UIW, UTEP scored a touchdown in every quarter for the third time under coach Dana Dimel. It also marked the second time under Dimel that the Miners scored an offensive touchdown in all four quarters. This also happened on Nov. 20, 2021 against Rice. The Miners scored a touchdown in every quarter at Charlotte on Oct. 1, 2022, but one was off a 100-yard fumble recovery by Jadrian Taylor in the fourth quarter.
TYRICE TEARING THROUGH OFFENSES
LB Tyrice Knight leads the nation with 17 solo tackles, while he ranks tied no. 1 nationally with 29 total tackles and ranks tied sixth in tackles per game (14.5).
KNIGHT TIME
LB Tyrice Knight racked up a career-high 16 tackles in UTEP’s win over UIW on Sept. 2. He opened his final campaign with 13 tackles at Jax State. The redshirt senior now has 14 double-digit tackle performances in his career. Knight tallied 14 at UTSA and 11 against North Texas in 2020. In 2021, he recorded double-digits six times, highlighted by his career-high 15 against Fresno State in the New Mexico Bowl. Also, that season he tallied 12 against UNM, 11 at UNT, 10 against UTSA and 10 more at UAB. In 2022, he added four more with 14 stops at UNM, 12 at Rice, 11 against UNT and 10 versus Middle Tennessee.
NEAL GETTING AFTER IT
LB James Neal, in his first two career starts, ranks second on the team with 14 tackles while he’s registered a sack and his first career forced fumble. Neal opened the season with 10 tackles at Jax State and followed with that with four stops, a sack and forced fumble against UIW.
SECOND SACK
LB James Neal, in his first two career starts, recorded his second career sack against UIW on a play where he registered his first career forced fumble. Neal’s first sack came during the 2021 season.
SOLID FIRST START
Senior S Trejon Hugue made his first career start on Saturday night against UIW, and recorded a career-high six tackles with his first-career pass breakup. His efforts helped the defense pitch a second-half shutout.
FIRST INT
CB Trez Moore intercepted his first pass of his career, and it couldn’t have come at a better time. The junior picked off Zach Calzada’s pass with just over two minutes remaining in the game during UTEP’s 28-14 win over UIW.
GOOSE EGG IN THE SECOND HALF
The UTEP defense pitched a second-half shutout during the Miners’ 28-14 win against UIW. It’s the first second-half donut since shutting out LA Tech in the second half during the 2021 season.
JOSH THE SPECIAL TEAMS STOPPER
P Joshua Sloan tallied his third career tackle on Saturday night against UIW. The product from Australia recorded his first tackle at Rice on national television and followed with his second at no. 25 UTSA last season. Sloan added a solid night of kicking, booting three punts for 141 yards (47.0 avg.) with a 57 yarder and one inside the 20-yard line against the Cardinals.
UP NEXT
UTEP will hit the road for the second of back-to-back road games versus Power Five opponents as it will play at Arizona on Saturday, Sept. 16 with kickoff set for 9:00 p.m. MT/8 PT on the Pac-12 Network. The Miners and Wildcats can also be heard on 95.5 KLAQ. It will mark the 53rd meeting and first since 2017 when the Miners and Wildcats played in the Sun Bowl.

New Year, New Toolkit – Public Update v0.4.1.150
Howdy folks! There’s a change in the air. after the release of the v0.4.0 and v0.4.1 updates, we got a lot (I mean, a LOOOOOT) of feedback about the changes we made. It’s safe to say that most of them were quite negative, and we agreed with a lot of it.
The current v0.4.1.0 Toolkit was designed with the wrong ideas in mind. It was a workhorse tool that could let us more easily create our content internally, and it was a tool that could allow new features to be easily added through the Hand’s simplistic menu system. There’s one major thing we didn’t design for: the user. We spent all our time building a tool for us that could do the things we wanted it to, we ended up with a UI that we could easily work with (since we designed it), but was scary and intimidating to new users, and required multiple tutorials to start understanding where to even begin.
We’ve spent the last year fixing that.
After a year of pretty solid development, we’re ready to fully unveil the new Master’s Toolkit to you. It’s got all the great new features from the v0.4.1.0 Toolkit and more, but in a form that’s much easier for all users, new and existing, to jump in and understand. We’ve assembled a collection of some of the fanciest new features below. The full patch notes will be listed after.
We’ve also assembled some tutorials for you to get started with, which can be found here: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLkNo24w-R8iIwUUOixmR3aS27NWbFcLRp
And finally, all active and expired trials have been reset. If you weren’t a fan of the last version of the Toolkit, feel free to jump in and give this one a look. You won’t be disappointed!
Ok, let’s dive in!
A New UI
We know, we know. “Arkenforge changing their UI? We’ve been down this road before.” And while yes, that’s true, as we mentioned above this time it’s 100% for the better!
The first thing you’ll notice is that there’s no main menu. We’ve moved to a similar system that virtually every other map builder and VTT uses – a side panel. Now all Toolkit functionality and content can be easily accessed from the side panel.
The side panel has two tiers, with a third tier showing the available options. This design is significantly cleaner than the old design. You can easily see what’s going on, and what options you have available to you.
We’ve chopped off the Hand
The Hand was a programmer’s dream. Any option could be added to any of the menus in seconds with a single line of code. Unfortunately, each option you selected would bring up its own popup slider. If you selected something, you had no concept of what its current state was, and you couldn’t easily adjust multiple values at once. This was one of the major issues that we’ve tried to solve with this update, and we’d like to think that we’ve succeeded.
You can now easily see the values of your selected content without needing to open up 20 different popup sliders. It’s also much easier now to see all of your available options!
The Wheel, but straightened out
As we mentioned in the post about our v0.4.0 update, the Wheel was a much beloved feature that provided an easy way to manipulate content, but became too limiting for the raft of new features that we were bringing out. We’ve now added in the Quick Access Menu, a row of buttons above your selected content that can be used for simple manipulations, and to quickly access the side panels for more advanced manipulation options.
Each button in the menu can be enabled/disabled and reordered to best fit your needs.
You’ll also notice a shortcut icon at the top of every side panel menu. Enabling this will provide a link to that menu in the ‘quick access menus’ section of the Quick Access Menu.
Widgets
Those users from the v0.3 days may remember the widgets of old. These were simple panels that could be turned on or off as needed, that provided core functionality to the Toolkit. After two years of v0.4, we’ve brought them back :)
Widgets can be found along the top of the screen. If you want to disable or recolour any, you’ll be able to to so from the Widget Settings panel. We’ve selected a small set of widgets for this initial release that should provide most of the functionality needed for the standard user. Those widgets are:
Map Functions
Fog of War
Time of Day
Map Levels
Bookmarks
Player Screen
Ping
If you’d like to learn more, we have a video available here: https://youtu.be/QldOgyG7yQ8
Layer Stack
One of our most heavily requested features over the years has been a layer stack – the ability to see all content that’s been placed on the map. We’ve held out in the past due to optimisation limitations, but with our huge new Toolkit optimisations we’ve finally been able to add it in!
On top of showing all content on your current map level, the Toolkit will even point them out for you if you hover over them! Any content here can be selected by clicking on it, and you can hold Ctrl of Shift to multi-select from the list. Finally, we’ve added a handy search bar at the top so that you can only show specific content.
New Effects System
Our Effects system in v0.4.0 was a big hit, and we’ve been really keen to expand it. The UI left quite a lot to be desired, so we’ve come up with a new system that will make managing effects on your content a breeze!
All effects active on an object will now show in a list. You can easily view and modify the properties of any effect, and enable/disable and remove them as needed. You may have noticed that we’ve added the ability to stack multiple of the same type of effect! This can lead to some fin behaviours, especially if multiple float effects are in play.
On top of this new system, we’ve added a whole bunch of new effects for you to play with:
Blink. Makes content appear and disappear at regular intervals
Line Scroll. Tile scroll, but for lines
Pulse, Scale up and down at regular intervals
Light Flicker. The current flicker effect for lights that you know and love
Light Blink. Blinks the light on and off, like a broken halogen light.
Sound Trigger. Triggers an assigned SFX when the trigger condition is met
MP3 Support
Another of our long-awaited features. We’re incredibly happy to say that you can finally import your own mp3 files into the Toolkit! No more conversion to OGG or Wav
These are just some of the new improvements we’ve made to the Toolkit! | Hit the link below to also read the full Patch Notes for the update! https://arkenforge.com/new-year-new-toolkit-public-update-v0-4-1-150/

Fool in Utopia - Blacklight
Good morning! This week's song is called 'Blacklight' from the US artist 'Fool in Utopia' (because of time constraints, the video will be/was published on a different day than this post)
Hello! It has been an amazing, a bit stressing but wonderful week for me, and I hope the same applies for you! My birthday was on Thursday, everyone at worked wished me a happy birthday, as well as my friends and family, and to be honest, I love it. On Sunday, my girlfriend and my friends threw a surprise party for me and I cried internally with joy. It was brutal, they got me a Minecraft cake and Floppa cupcakes, some hot snacks, and LASAGNA. You can see more on my instagram profile.
Also, work has been hard, ngl, I started production this week and it's... a lot; but I've managed, we've all managed. And Kasia, my support coach has been amazing. More so because she's there when I panic.
However, back to what we're here for, the music. This week's song is such a freaking masterpiece. So, what about the artist?
About the artist
'Fool in Utopia' is the pseudonym of Texas (USA) based artist 'Marc Rodriguez' (though he's originally from New Jersey). He started playing cello back when he was in fifth grade, then became drummer for 'The Frites'.
However they eventually started college (Marc is currently studying vision science at UIW), got separate ways, and that's when he really discovered his path with 'Fool in Utopia', singing his poems over his ukelele playing.
He cited twenty øne piløts as his biggest inspo (would you look at that, my favorite band too.)
Because of this desire to move further with the project Marc learnt how to produce his own music. Marc started publishing in 2018, with the release of his debut EP 'Eu'
After that, the release of his self titled debut album came, this in March 2019, and 'Blacklight' was there again. This album was produced in his college dorm room, by himself.
Then came all the other releases up to today, including 4 singles (lemon, isla blue, broken hearted boys and keep my head straight) which would later be featured in the June 2022's album 'Arcadia' (which you should also listen too!)
Marc has said the following about his 'Fool in Utopia' project:
"In this perfect place, in this utopia, we grow and we learn; and we try to understand the world around us; a place with ideas, with lessons, with the truth. The truth behind my name is that I feel as if this path, this lifestyle, isn't the one that is as perfect as it could be."
"This idea of 'Fool in Utopia' expresses how we each have a say in how our future turns out, how we are the fools that turn around to look at what this utopia is supporting and what this utopia wants us to be. We don't have to remain confined in this everlasting cycle of concrete floors and contained greenery."
Marc is on social media, like instagram, twitter, and facebook, and of course soundcloud, spotify and youtube. He also has a website for the project (and you should definitely check it out.)
About the song
'Blacklight has appeared on 2 different releases:
In his first EP, 'Eu', as the first of three tracks.
In his debut album, also named 'Fool in Utopia'; this time as the second track.
If I remember correctly, I found the song thanks to an Instagram ad (and trust me when I say I have discovered amazing music like that, from Dansu to Castlecomer, a lot of amazing stuff.)
It was an instant match. The vocals, the uke, the latinamerican percussions, EVERYTHING. I burnt the song. I played it over and over and then the whole album and then I followed Marc and- you get it.
Meaning
'Blacklight (basically) talks about a breakup (or death of a girlfriend) in a very poetic way. Explaining how people act like they don't care about what others feel, and how they make others feel. Deep lyrics, to be honest. Like them. Feel them.

It'd be funny if someone else called Regina whipped and so a bewildered Janis had no clue why Regina was arguing with her over, like, what bowl to put the chips in.
Janis, digging through Regina's cabinets for a bowl: this one work?
Regina, internally: 🥰🥰 I love it when Janis helps me prepare for having people over🥰🥰
Regina, internally: wait fuck I'm supposed to be proving I'm not whipped.
Regina: no, why would that be the right bowl?
Janis, very confused: uh. ok? which bowl would you like to use?
Regina: literally any other one.
Janis, about done with her gf's shit: alright. this one good?
Regina: whatever. sure.
Regina, internally: Take that. I'm not whipped

Tattoos for Breast Cancer Awareness
A Yellow Ribbon tattoo on your arms is an excellent way to express your support for breast cancer awareness. A Yellow Ribbon tattoo is a terrific way to express your support for breast cancer research, whether you have a friend or family member who is through treatment or simply want to show your support for breast cancer research.
The University of the Incarnate Word, also known as UIW, is a private university in San Antonio, Texas. The Commission on Colleges has accredited it. It offers over 90 undergraduate majors, graduate degrees, and associate degrees. Its campuses are in San Antonio, Corpus Christi, and Mexico, with a European Study Center in Strasbourg.
Military students are also eligible for tuition discounts at the university. This includes the Yellow Ribbon Program, which reimburses eligible war veterans for tuition and fees at private universities.
Furthermore, the university has a staff and academic members dedicated to assisting student veterans. The university includes a Career Services Office that supports veterans in obtaining work following graduation. It also provides qualifying students with free undergraduate textbooks. Its Peer Advisors for Veterans Education (PAVE) initiative connects new student veterans with current veteran students.
NYFA is a private, for-profit film school in New York City. NYFA, founded in 1992 by Jerry Sherlock, provides undergraduate and graduate programs in cinematography, photography, acting, and screenwriting.
NYFA's programs are Post-9/11 GI Bill authorized and provide veteran students with the chance to study the performing arts. A Yellow Ribbon Program, which covers half of the remaining tuition and fees for a fiscal year, is offered to eligible veterans.
The New York Film Academy provides several programs to assist veterans in pursuing jobs in the film business. Some of the programs are certified for educational benefits for veterans, while others are available to the general public.
Undergraduate and graduate students at NYFA study filmmaking, visual effects, 3D animation, documentary filmmaking, acting, and screenwriting. They can also choose between a one-year or two-year conservatory program.
The Yellow Ribbon GI Education Enhancement Program will assist qualifying dependents in paying for college tuition. The program, a collaboration between the Department of Veterans Affairs and partner institutions of higher study, offers qualified veterans matching funding.
The Yellow Ribbon GI Education Enhancement Program is an excellent addition to Post-9/11 GI Bill benefits. This program is open to the eligible air force, navy, and army veterans. It also applies to national guard and reserve army veterans.
In addition to assisting veterans with higher education costs, the Yellow Ribbon program also aids qualifying dependents with higher education costs at private schools. This form of finance, however, has constraints. There is no certainty, for example, that the funds will pay the entire cost of tuition.
During the Iran Hostage Crisis in 1979, Americans displayed yellow ribbons to indicate their solidarity with Iranian hostages. The ribbon was also utilized as a sign of hope for the safe return of the hostages.
The yellow ribbon was also worn to symbolize solidarity with the military. Americans donned yellow ribbons to support the troops during the first Gulf War. The ribbon served as an educational award as well.
The yellow ribbon is frequently tied to a car or displayed outside a home or business. It has also been a sign of support for US military personnel, particularly during the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
The yellow ribbon symbolizes support, but it also indicates a gap between the public's understanding of war and actual combat experience.
People worldwide are encouraged to wear the yellow ribbon during March to raise awareness about endometriosis. This month is dedicated to promoting research, education, and support for women impacted by the condition.
Endometriosis is a uterine condition that results in an irregular menstrual cycle, pain, and infertility. Anyone with a uterus can get the state, and it is frequently misdiagnosed.
While research has revealed numerous risk factors for endometriosis, the actual causes of this disease remain unknown. Experts also disagree on how this condition impacts a woman's fertility. Some have blamed the illness on hormones or low prenatal testosterone levels.
There are, thankfully, therapy choices. Women's symptoms can be treated with hormone medication, dietary changes, or surgery.

Scleral Lens Wear Increases IOP This modality is helpful in many cases, but practitioners should still monitor patients closely. RO/RCCL Staff Wearing scleral contact lenses could increase a patient’s intraocular pressure (IOP), a recent study, presented this week at ARVO, shows. To gauge the effect of these lenses on IOP, researchers from the University of the Incarnate Word’s School of Optometry in San Antonio, Texas, fit seven individuals with normal corneas and IOP levels with a scleral lens in one eye and a soft lens in the other eye. The subjects wore the lenses for eight hours and researchers compared pre-wear IOP measurements with post-wear measurements. In the scleral lens eye, IOP increased notably in all subjects after eight hours of wear. While IOP did increase slightly in some of the soft lens eyes, it decreased in others; overall, the changes in these eyes were not significant. Additionally, the study ruled out lens settling as a possible cause of IOP changes in the scleral lens eyes. “Because scleral contact lenses place all of their weight on the white part of the eye [… ] some believe that they might cause the fluid to back up in the eyes, resulting in high pressure inside the eye or glaucoma,” the study said. “After eight hours of wear, the scleral lens group showed a significant increase in IOP of 5.81 +/- 1.62mm Hg,” says Joseph P. Shovlin, OD, of Scranton, PA. “Long-term effects should be considered and examined in patients who might be susceptible to optic nerve changes due to IOP increases. Careful follow-up in all scleral lens patients should include IOP assessment on a regular basis.” Ref https://www.reviewofoptometry.com/article/scleral-lens-wear-increases-iop #sclerals #keratoconus #dryeye #dryeyes #crosslinking #sclerallenses #sclera #cornea #intraocularpressure #glaucoma #tonometry #tonometer #diaton #eyepressure #optometry #ophthalmology #eyecare #vision #contactlenses #lenses #ARVO #UIW @arvoinfo @uiwrso https://www.instagram.com/p/B4wNyPdBGSE/?igshid=efexhzrkcsjf

I remember now to go back to the basics of what made me fall in love with running: running and the community of running. When you’re 1000miles away from home it’s easy to forget why you love what you do or even do it in the first place. Doubts set in; distractions present themselves; time just doesn’t seem to be a friend for the wary mind and the distance only manifests that issue.
I love racing. I ran my last two races of high school on my terms. My coach didn’t even come to my next to last race that I was most proud of and earned fair and square. I even dropped the F-bomb which should have gotten me DQ’d but because of who I am and how genuine the reaction was, I didn’t. People disagreed, but I got to keep my race.
College ended on the same note. I ran backwards on the course for half a mile to find my teammate and finish the race with him. Steve Scherer told me to have fun with it, so I did; I made the race mine.
Now a post collegiate athlete I’m still training and competing chasing my former self. I’m a late bloomer who should never have peaked in highschool. I went to the college that was cheapest and most affordable instead of the school that was best for my running. I paid the price in miserable collegiate running and even feel robbed of my experience. The choice was mine and I am where I am today because of it, but it still hurts to reflect on.
Last fall I split a 16:23 5K in the middle of an 8K eclipsing my previous PR from high school which was a 16:48 and got a new PR of 27:14 for the 8K ridding myself of my collegiate PR and a high school PR in the process.
The following list remains:
400- 56
800- 2:05.4
1600- 4:37.4
3200- 10:08
Chasing my ghosts may seem childish or even as a sign of lack of maturity, but I realize that in order to get past high school, I need to be beyond high school.
I am RBL; I love to run; and I will continue to run, smartly, swiftly, consistently, and fast.
Upcoming Races:
UIW Inivte: 1500/5k double
J Ducket at Rice or Michael Johnson at Baylor: 1500
NJ Half Marathon: Half Marathon
Twilight Runs at Randall’s Island NYC: TBD
