Yeah, I really like the 1959 (first) barbie doll design, so I decided to have fun by making a tiny doll of it, rerooting her hair was surprisingly easy! I think I'll do more Polly pocket customization in the future...

If I ever find one with hair again!

August ended, wich mean summer is over.

So I made another End of Summer Doll! Meet Barbara! (my oc, no relation to Barbie)

Explenations below:

Guys, I'm not gonna lie, I love this one to death!

I was working on her all summer because I actually had to sculpt her head. I had this Clawd Wolf doll around, and I thought the body could work perfectly for her, but the head was too inexpressive for that character, so I put my sculpting diploma to good use and made her a new smiling head with some fimo! I also managed to make the shoes myself this time.

Funnily enough, the hardest part was finding the right shade of blond for her hair.

THERE HE IS!  MY TINY LITTLE BOY!!

I’ve been working on him for a while now and I’m SO happy with the results! He is also my first fully sculpted articulated clay doll (or action figure? idk) 

Anyway, I made his outfit based on a description directly from my copy of the book and old illustrations, and I stylised it a bit; his golden circlet made with a old heart-shaped ring and I made his little cloud with yarn.

I’ll definitely take more pictures of him later, when the weather allow it.

Bonus: I’m not exaggerating when I say he’s tiny, here he is with one of my previous creation (Ruth):

Polly Pocket customization 2: Electric Boogaloo

And this time, it's Allan!

I decided to torture my eyes once again to turn an (hilariously ugly) polly pocket into the one and only Allan. I thought about making Ken first, but honestly, his first design wasn't that interesting and iconic, and the polly pocket I found had a face sculpt closer to Allan's than Ken's. And I really like that Allan and barbie are matching with their stripes.

New creation!

...Or not! This is a doll I did back in 2019. I didn’t posted her anywhere because I was not satisfied with how she turned out, and 4 years later, I can’t even remember why ?? I was in a totally different state of mind back then  🤷‍♂️

She’s another one of my old OCs, I named her Nozomi. I remade her whole face, and sew her uniform I also made her her little schoolbag and the tiny keychain (the only thing I didn’t do were her shoes)

Also, before I made her like this, she actually used to be a Yandere Simulator customized doll that I made in *check my cringy old deviantart account* 2016! Y’all remember Yandere Simulator??

Yep, I’d say that’s a big ass glow up!!

I like to think that sometime, between the weekly demon attacks, the gang cools down and have a bit of fun. I’m a sucker for road trip stories with a bit of slice of life.

I was so busy in the last couple of month, I didn’t make any JTTW content, and I missed the gang! And what’s better than the Christmas/New year holidays to make a little heartwarming sketch of them?

Finally! I managed to gather the energy to make this step by step explaination of my doll Ruth! 

I really love this doll and I am proud of what I did with her, I was in a bit of a slump lately so it gave me back the motivation to keep making what I love.

Also, that first custom attempt date from 2015! Always good to look back on your mistakes previous works and see your progress. 

Btw, not only she can slouch but she can also flip you off!

Ok so it’s different from what I usually do; this was a christmas present I made for one of my classmate back in December. It is a miniature of one of Metallica’s famous guitar, “Carl”, wich was made out of wood. 

This tinier one (20 cm) is also made with real wood and actual tiny nails! Honeslty, it was a really fun project to do, got to experiment with materials I don’t usually use on miniatures. I can’t say I’m a Metallica fan, but this guitar (the real big one) is awesome and has so much personnality!

Heeeeyyyy! New OC-doll baby! Meet Jud, The Grumpy Goth!

I think it's only appropriate that since the last one was a Summer-vibes doll, this one be a Autumn-vibes doll.

I've actually been postponing him for 3 years; he was sadly waiting on my desk to be finished, until I had enough of his judgy stare and gathered everything I needed to properly finish him, even made him some miniatures accessories and a school desk, wich was a lot of fun to make!

I really feel like 2023 is the year of "Finally finishing projects I started years ago"

(btw, he's got tattoos all over his upper body, but I won't show them yet)

Can you belive he used to be a Jackson Jekyll doll? So: 1. I shrank the head with acetone 2. I heated the head to make the nose pointier 3. I cut the back of the head open, removing that too-much of skin and glued it back together and TAD-AM! Cooler head!

My new (end of) summer creation!

It’s been a while since I created an original doll like that, and I also wanted to make one with a prothesis limb. And here she is! 

She’s one of my OCs, I named her Ruth.

My mom saw her and said “Ho, this one is cute :)” so I went “Thanks! She got POCKETS :D!!!”

I also made a quick sketch of the original idea I had of her, I think its close enough!

She was originaly a Descendants Doll but I had to modify multiple parts of her body so she could be more articulated (like in the legs and torso, she can even slouch now) and added teeth (yeah, that part was fun) and eyelids. I can also “unscrew” her prosthesic leg. I’m thinking of making a post explaining her transformation step by step.

Anyway, really glad I was able to finish her for the end of summer, she look really cool!

Here's some of my work in marquetry from school (2020-2021), made by hands and mostly at home (thanks Covid).

There's ebony, movingui, plane tree, amaranth wood, maple wood, padouk and a variety of wood burr.

The Sun and Moon and the Snakes patterns are my creations while the others one were patterns given to me by my teacher.

They were fun to make but honestly, I hope you never have to experience the stress of cutting through ebony and sweating madly because HOLY MOLY ebony is beautiful but IT'S SO FRAGILE GODANG IT!
