When I did this mesh in Pooklet textures, I only did the original alpha, but there's a few alphas and variations out there, so I did a few more this time!

The original alpha + Zesta02's 'Zoen' alpha + Zesta02's short alpha (slightly edited the side bangs to be shorter for more variety). All have one binned natural family in one package, plus 8 unbinned afterglow customs. Then there's a couple of families of binned streaked customs: for the original alpha, I pinched @spell-bloom's idea of doing coloured side bangs modeled on @horusmenhosetix's Ava Cadavra retexture, but added more colours to make it a family (black x lavender, brown x dark red (pictured), blond x mint, red x pink). Then I borrowed @mrs-mquve-cc's streaked version, moved the scalp streaks to fit my texture, and made a family based on those (black x darkred (pictured), brown x mint, blond x teal, red x green). Fully compressorized, labelled, mesh is included in the zips.

Simpliciaty Kimiko: converted by profesionalpartyguest. child to elder. i used the wavy textures for this one. the ribbon colors are the same as profesionalpartyguest's version: black for red and gray, pink for blonde, pale blue for brown and yellow for black. for the unnaturals, i just used the black ribbon.

Jessa Hair

PF-EF, 4.0K/5.6K tris, 1024x1024 textures, my hair system with grey binned to black* using edited EA textures, compressed and tooltipped

*Jessa Clips includes two clip colors per bin; Jessa Pony includes 5 binned ombres + 9 unbinned ombres in the custom bin. Swatches below the cut.

The binned ombres' root color matches the bin color; there's also a grey/white swatch for elders, binned to black. Hairs in the custom bin are TF-EF and all use black roots with the unused PF-CF ages removed.

Note that I renamed the mesh, because of course I did. DDS for both the clips and pony textures included in the archive for retexturers.

As before, toddler and children use Jessa Clips while teen and older use the Jessa Pony. These are conversions and edits of two TS4 hairs.

The binned ombres mostly exist because my old hair system had more colors per bin and I wanted to keep all of the clip colors for children. They loosely match EA swatches; I was going to be a little more restrained, but I loved the rainbow swatches too much not use use them.

I used this method by Simandy to get an overall better base than my first attempt, so darker colors are less floodfilled, and used noise to hopefully add a some texture. They're not perfect, but I think they're better.

Rose Donation 65 - Goth Edition

Hello everyone, 

Today I have something very different for you. I was in the beginning of rebuilding my downloads folder and was looking through hairs I want in my game. I came upon this recolour of this hair. 

Then a strange 2005 feeling, a wish to find a black-red version of this hair came over me. I did but they were shiny and I wasn’t using those textures anymore so I did a thing. My first recolour. Feast your eyes!

I did 12 different recolours for the 4 main colours over @suratan-zir‘s recolour. So the credit for the texture goes to her. 

There are 2 versions, one with the 4 main colours binned and one unbinned, I suggest only installing one of the folders. 

Mesh included. 7k polys, cf-ef. Files are compressed, separated to make it easy for you to remove unwanted colours.

This is Fwaldorf's afterglow retexture of Nouk's Huge double ponytails but with Zombiejill's Roxanne alpha! Comes in one natural family in one package, plus 8 afterglow customs, and 8 Binned streaked variations inspired by Zombiejill's original (not the same colours, the combinations are: Black x dark red, black x purple (pictured), brown x blond, brown x green, blond x pink, blond x teal, red x mint, red x lavender). Meshes included in the zip and everything's fully compressorized.

Note: its more apparent with this alpha than the regular one that the mesh varies slightly between the teen and adult versions here. You can see in my pics that the side pieces of the bangs are short enough for teens that they dissapear into the bangs, doesn't look bad but looks different!

Hi, I have a question: I would prefer leaving eyebrows unbinned after recoloring but I'm wondering if it affects genetics? I mean in TS4, when sims who have custom eyebrows that aren't genetic their children will be born with random colored eyebrows. Can this happen in TS2 or will babies always get eyebrows that are the same color as their hair, even if their parents have eyebrows that aren't binned?

Hi, anon! In the game as is they will be born into one of the four natural hair colors.

However, a tutorial was written by rio-sims on how to update "unnatural" hair to be inheritable. I've not personally tried it, but it seems promising! And it looks like they've come up with custom color bins already for some pooklet hair 😍

EF48 Wrap 4t2 Conversion

There's some cute stuff in the TS4 infant update, but I only know how to make things into hairs. I binned them for less custom bloat, and then made more swatches for an even number of "hairs" per bin. Swatch below the cut.

I tried to keep the binned swatches consistent; so black hair is neutrals, brown hair is cool blues and aquas, blonde is purples and pinks, and red hair has warmer tones.

In game your sims will keep the eyebrow color they were born with, but it'll switch between bins in bodyshop and CAS.

There's not too much more to say; it doesn't have a hat flag, and while I'm pretty sure this is mostly for sleeping, I kept it in all categories.

Final note: If toddlers' ears are really large or the child's ears too close to the head, they'll clip a bit. That was the best compromise I could come up with between functional and not warping the mesh.
