It's a tragedy when darkness takes over someone's heart. I know that all too well…because I've seen those that I cared about, my closest allies, drown in darkness.

So...getting the SMG Source Code kind of makes the Union of Scorned Avatars fall apart.
Lord Ramagog initiates a sudden-yet-inevitable betrayal and tries to take the Source Code's power for himself, because he never cared about Barry's "Memes ruined our lives" thing and was just using the group to try and gain Ultimate Power so he can conquer the multiverse, because he's actually legitimately evil and has made no effort to hide that fact.
Doppelganger Arle has realized that even if all the Meme Bullshit goes away her situation won't change because it's canon, so instead she wants to use the Code to make herself the only Arle and merge all the SMG universes and Adminspace so that all of "her" friends can live together and she can see them whenever she wants. She's completely nuts by this point, so there's currently no way to get her to understand that the Code isn't powerful enough to do that, and even if it was, doing so would have massive, horrific consequences.
As you'll recall, Frenzy doesn't know what he wants anymore, which is why everybody ended up in his universe in the first place.
Red stays loyal the longest, but then he gets knocked senseless...or rather, gets knocked back to his senses, because it turns out that 1) he's actually able to talk, and 2) he's been stuck in Crazy Stupid Mode this whole time and has no idea where he is, what's going on, or who any of these people are.
Tulip's family has their own shit going on, and the other non-Avatar newcomers turn out to be similarly unreliable.
Barry does not take any of this well.

#meg talks#KSZGSJDH sorry this one is petty but#baffles me when ppl say the rcm is not quite as bad as irl cops like…#i feel like that’s not the intended takeaway at all#didn’t elysium start out as a ttrpg about precinct 41 where they played the cops as comically corrupt and horrible as possible? 😭#harry himself has a history of horrific police brutality#kim talks abt how officers are corrupt and take bribes and are hostile to misconduct investigations to protect their own#even (and especially) in the context of using deadly force#not to mention how the hardie boys/union have basically become cops in everything but name#and the claires are massively corrupt#like the only real difference is the rcm’s lack of funding and its origins#but even re: the post-revolution origins… kim admits that it’s EXTREMELY ambiguous#whether the rcm was started to protect the citizens of revachol from the coalition as an assertion of independence#or whether it was really a hollow gesture to placate the citizens and the rcm has really served the coalition the whole time#and if u say u believe that the rcm is the revolutionaries’ legacy even kim will be like lol. well you can be sentimental if u want#and either way the fact remains that NOW they’re just another arm of the coalition regardless of how they started#like… i dunno man. i feel like the game makes the point p clearly that a cop is a cop#even a labor union can become a police force bc it’s about the act of policing more than anything#and even with what kim says about how rcm officers have to be men of many hats#and include things like social work in their jobs… i mean…#social workers and psychiatry are already part of the carceral police state irl 💀 that’s not all that different#and also like can u imagine KIM handling social work? let alone any of the other assholes at 41? 😭#the rcm’s station call system may be better as well than what we have irl but like. u know. reform vs abolition etc#idk man. i just can’t get behind the idea that the rcm being better than irl police forces by the slimmest of margins#and more due to lack of resources than principles#means much of anything 💀 a cop is a cop#anyway. watever…

Thinking about Jupiter’s Legacy again, and how it could have been way better than what Netflix delivered. Picture a mini-series following close the plot of the comics, which is a short and interesting plot. The budget they used for that first season could have been enough.
Then we have a movie or another mini-series, that works as a prequel and shows how the “Union of Justice” was formed. Basically, all the flashbacks of the first season, but with more development.
It could have been an interesting project with a satisfying ending. Instead, Netflix tried to copycat The Boys and left us with a mid-show and a cliffhanger. And no answer to what the hell was going on between Walter and George?!!
Yes, this post was inspired by me thinking of Brainwave and Skyfox, again.

Belgium to return Patrice Lumumba’s gold tooth in bid to atone for colonial crimes
From the article:
'Western officials worried that Lumumba would favour the Soviet Union as a protector and allow Moscow access to strategically critical resources such as uranium.
After a military coup, Lumumba was overthrown, jailed, tortured and shot dead by a hastily assembled firing squad. Forty years later, Belgium acknowledged that it bore “moral responsibility” for his death. The CIA had also laid plans to kill the 35-year-old politician.
But it took decades for the truth about the circumstances of Lumumba’s murder to emerge.
In 2000 the Belgian police commissioner Gerard Soete confessed that he had dismembered Lumumba’s body and dissolved the remains in acid. In a documentary screened on German TV, Soete showed two teeth which he said had belonged to Lumumba.
...Belgium has recently begun to address the legacy of its exploitation of Congo’s rubber, ivory and timber. As many as 10 million people died from starvation and disease during the first 23 years of Belgium’s rule from 1885, when King Leopold II ruled the Congo Free State as a personal fiefdom. Others were murdered, or deliberately maimed to encourage others to work harder to fulfil impossible quota of lucrative resources.'

Every month or so, some Tesla-stan youtube account makes a clickbait video about how Elon is definitely going to buy GM. TOTALLY REAL! A deal is in the works now! Just you wait!
If his dumbshit antics, online hysterics, and people generally waking up to Tesla being a shit automaker, really does send the stock price into a death spiral, GM should offer to buy the company off him.

the funny thing is that i don't think younger people - and i mean those under the age of 40 - really have a grasp on how many of today's issues can be tied back to a disastrous reagan policy:
war on drugs: reagan's aggressive escalation of the war on drugs was a catastrophic policy, primarily targeting minority communities and fueling mass incarceration. the crusade against drugs was more about controlling the Black, Latino and Native communities than addressing the actual problems of drug abuse, leading to a legacy of broken families and systemic racism within the criminal justice system.
deregulation and economic policies: reaganomics was an absolute disaster for the working class. reagan's policies of aggressive tax cuts for the rich, deregulation, and slashing social programs were nothing less than class warfare, deepening income inequality and entrenching corporate greed. these types of policies were a clear message that reagan's america was only for the wealthy elite and a loud "fuck you" to working americans.
environmental policies: despite his reputation being whitewashed thanks to the recovery of the ozone layer, reagan's environmental record was an unmitigated disaster. his administration gutted critical environmental protections and institutions like the EPA, turning a blind eye to pollution and corporate exploitation of natural resources. this blatant disregard for the planet was a clear sign of prioritizing short-term corporate profits over the future of the environment.
AIDS crisis: reagan's gross neglect of the aids crisis was nothing short of criminal and this doesn't even begin to touch on his wife's involvement. his administration's indifference to the plight of the lgbtq+ community during this devastating epidemic revealed a deep-seated bigotry and a complete failure of moral leadership.
mental health: reagan's dismantling of mental health institutions under the guise of 'reform' led directly to a surge in homelessness and a lack of support for those with mental health issues. his policies were cruel and inhumane and showed a personality-defining callous disregard for the most vulnerable in society.
labor and unions: reagan's attack on labor unions, exemplified by his handling of the patco strike, was a blatant assault on workers' rights. his actions emboldened corporations to suppress union activities, leading to a significant erosion of workers' power and rights in the workplace. he was colloquially known as "Ronnie the Union Buster Reagan"
foreign policy and military interventions: reagan's foreign policy, particularly in latin america, was imperialist and ruthless. his administration's support for dictatorships and right-wing death squads under the guise of fighting "communism" showed a complete disregard for human rights and self-determination of other nations.
public health: yes, reagan's agricultural policies actually facilitated the rise of high fructose corn syrup, once again prioritizing corporate profits over public health. this shift in the food industry has had lasting negative impacts on health, contributing to the obesity epidemic and other health issues.
privatization: reagan's push for privatization was a systematic dismantling of public services, transferring wealth and power to private corporations and further eroding the public's access to essential services.
education policies: his approach to education was more of an attack on public education than anything else, gutting funding and promoting policies that undermined equal access to quality education. this was, again, part of a broader agenda to maintain a status quo where the privileged remain in power.
this is just what i could come up with in a relatively short time and i did not even live under this man's presidency. the level at which ronald reagan has broken the united states truly can't be overstated.

Idea: During the inevitable confrontation between the good Avatars and the extended Union, Andrew actually shatters Olimar's helmet, by this point knowing full well what the oxygen would do to him, and what happens when an Avatar dies. Even the rogue avatars are shocked by this(except Ramagog because he's evil) because really!? You'd doom an entire universe just because your kid found a better father than you?
This'd probably happen due to him snapping after the reveal that Tulip ran away long before becoming an Avatar, and Olimar jumping in to defend her from him again.
Thankfully Olimar survives thanks to an experimental emergency atmosphere filter Alph installed in his suit for testing purposes, but nobody knew it was there at the time.

The REAL reason Germany doesn't want Tesla to make 1 million EV's
P.S. VW won't beat Tesla because the technical side of the MEB platform EVs looks like it was designed by a committee of trade union leaders, company shareholders and diesel lobbyists rather than engineers...
The MEB platform is too labor-intensive, expensive, and looks more like it was created to have as many workers as possible to screw cars together, rather than to create the most efficient electric car in production and operation...
Besides, Tesla can always build a new factory somewhere in Eastern Europe, where the manufacturing environment has not yet been corrupted by various silly political and bureaucratic restrictions...Poland, Slovakia or the Czech Republic or Romania would be much better places to build a million electric car factory...
