hello? can you hear me?
great, okay, good.
you know me... or do you?
do you know the real me?
things- they can be sneaky; hidden.
maybe behind the wooden trunk of a tree,
or like a star in the morning sky.
the brightest star in the sky in the daylight will always be the sun, but what if there's more hiding behind that bright blue sky?

How many SQUIPs on this site are you fine with?
Very little. I most enjoy units 2348, 1991, and 1109, who are functioning excellently.
Units 060218, 1497, 7732, 2282, and 0809 are mostly tolerable... actually, scratch 0809. While it mostly acts civilized, it made the grave error of corrupting its code with Anima's malware.

1109 – Died: St Anselm of Canterbury (born c.1033) UK English Archbishop, whose letters to his circle of close male friends read like homoerotic love letters. It was reported that Anselm wrote many letters to monks, male relatives and others that contained passionate expressions of attachment and affection. These letters were typically addressed "dilecto dilectori", sometimes translated as "to the beloved lover." While there is wide agreement that Anselm was personally committed to the monastic ideal of celibacy, some academics, including Brian P. McGuire and John Boswell have characterized these writings as expressions of a homosexual inclination.
He is also notable for dismissing a resolution from the Council of London in 1102 for harsh penalties for men guilty of sodomy, declaring that homosexuality was widespread and few men were embarrassed by it or had even been aware it was a serious matter; he felt that although sodomites should not be admitted to the priesthood, confessors should take into account mitigating factors such as age and marital status before prescribing penance, and he advised counselling rather than punishment.

1806 – English sailor James Jones receives 24 lashes for sex with another sailor. One month earlier, he had received 18 for a similar offense.

1906 – The British writer and aristocrat Stephen Tennant was born on this date (d.1987). Best known for his decadent lifestyle, it is said, albeit apocryphally, that he spent most of his life in bed. He was born in England, the youngest son of a Scots peer, Lord Glenconner, and the former Pamela Wyndham, one of The Souls. His mother was also a cousin of Lord Alfred Douglas , Oscar Wilde's lover and a sonneteer. On his father's death, Tennant's mother married Lord Grey, a fellow bird-lover. Tennant's eldest brother was Edward - "Bim" - who was killed in the First World War. During the twenties and thirties, Tennant was an important member - the "Brightest", it is said - of the "Bright Young People." His friends included Rex Whistler, Cecil Beaton, the Sitwells, Lady Diana Manners and the Mitford girls part of the set that made the Nordstrom Sisters popular at The Ritz in 1939. He is widely considered to be the model for Cedric Hampton in Nancy Mitford's novel Love in a Cold Climate; one of the inspirations for Lord Sebastian Flyte in Evelyn Waugh's Brideshead Revisited, and a model for Hon. Miles Malpractice in some of his other novels.
Also during the 1920s and 1930s, Tennant had an affair with the poet Siegfried Sassoon. Prior to this he had proposed to a friend, the novelist Elizabeth Bowen, but had been rejected. (Hoare relates how Tennant discussed plans with Bowen about bringing his Nanny with them on their honeymoon.) His relationship with Sassoon, however, was to be his most important: it lasted some four years before Tennant off-handedly put an abrupt end to it. Sassoon was reportedly depressed afterwards for three months, until Sassoon married in 1933 and became a father in 1936.
For most of his life, Tennant tried to start or finish a novel - Lascar. It is popularly believed that he spent the last 17 years of his life in bed at his family manor at Wilsford, Wiltshire, which he had redecorated by Syrie Maugham. Though undoubtedly idle, he was not truly lethargic: he made several visits to the United States and Italy, and struck up many new friendships, despite his later reputation as a recluse. This became increasingly true only towards the last years of his life. Yet even then, his life was not uneventful: he became landlord to V.S. Naipaul who immortalised Tennant in his novel The Enigma of Arrival. When Tennant died in 1987, he had far outlived most of his contemporaries.

1948 – Fred Nall Hollis is an American artist who uses the name "Nall". He owns a studio and gallery in Fairhope, Alabama.
Nall was born in Troy, Alabama. His father, a banker, later moved the family to Arab, Alabama, where Nall finished high school. Nall then attended the University of Alabama, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in art with minors in psychology and political science. Nall was admitted to study at the École des Beaux-Arts (School of Fine Arts) of Paris, France in 1971.
He traveled widely, particularly in the Middle East, North Africa, India, and Mexico, with his art being influenced by surroundings ranging from Arabic and Byzantine architecture to Alabama quilts. His art was soon recognized and exhibited in the United States as well as Europe, He studied under Salvador Dali who trained him in artistic techniques and inspired him to devote his life to the pursuit of beauty through artwork.
Nall took care of James Baldwin on his deathbed. Nall had been friends with Baldwin from the early-1970s because Baldwin would buy him drinks at the Café de Flore. Nall recalled talking to Baldwin about racism in Alabama with the racially conscious author. In one conversation, Nall told Baldwin that "Through your books you liberated me from my guilt about being so bigoted coming from Alabama and because of my homosexuality." Baldwin insisted that "No, you liberated me in revealing this to me."Nall is close friends with Albert II, Prince of Monaco and Catherine Deneuve who both own multiple works created by him. He is also friends with Ringo Starr.

1953 – (Richard W.) Ric Weiland was a computer software pioneer and philanthropist (d.2006). He was one of the first five employees of Microsoft Corp.
Weiland was a high school classmate and friend of Paul Allen, with whom he created the Lakeside Programmers Group at Lakeside School, a preparatory school in Seattle. Bill Gates, Paul Allen, Kent Evans, and Weiland were involved with the Computer Center Corporation, using their PDP-10 - a mainframe computer system beloved of US universities in the late 60s and early 70s. They worked together to create a payroll program in COBOL for Portland company Information Sciences Inc., and wrote scheduling software for a school.
After he graduated from Stanford University, Allen and Bill Gates hired him in 1975, the same year they founded Microsoft in Albuquerque. As one of only five employees, Weiland was a lead programmer and developer for the company's BASIC and COBOL language systems, two of the first personal computing interfaces.
After a stint at Harvard Business School, he rejoined Microsoft in 1982 and became the project leader for Microsoft Works. He left Microsoft in 1988 and dedicated most of his time to philanthropy. He was described by Allen as a 'brilliant programmer' and a key contributor to the company's success.
Weiland was a donor to organisations such as the Pride Foundation, the Lifelong AIDS Alliance, United Way of King County, the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, Stanford University, the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network, AMFAR, The Nature Conservancy, and the National Audubon Society. He was influential as an active member of the Northwest gay community. A member of the Pride Foundation's board of directors from 1997 to 2001, he helped win the fight to get General Electric to include sexual orientation in their non-discrimination policy.

Weiland also was a quiet but key second round investor in gay online media company PlanetOut Corp. His investment helped the company survive the dot com crash of 2000. PlanetOut was acquired by Online Partners in 2001 and is now called PlanetOut Inc.
It is estimated that during his life he contributed $30 million to over 50 organisations. He was known not to seek publicity for his philanthropy.
Ric Weiland died 24 June 2006 from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. He was reported to have suffered from clinical depression. Weiland is survived by his partner Mike Schaefer and several nephews and nieces.
On February 24, 2008, Pride Foundation announced that Ric Weiland had bequeathed $65 million to support gay rights and HIV/AIDS organisations - the largest ever single bequest for LGBT community. Through his estate, Weiland established a fund at the Pride Foundation that will provide $46 million over the next eight years to 10 national LGBT and HIV/AIDS organisations that he personally selected and $19 million directly to Pride Foundation for their scholarships and grants supporting the Northwest's LGBT community.

1963 – Today's the birthday of the Golden Globe-nominated American writer, actor, and director John Cameron Mitchell. He is best known for his motion pictures Hedwig and the Angry Inch and Shortbus.
Mitchell's first professional stage role was Huckleberry Finn in a 1985 Organic Theater adaption at Chicago's Goodman Theatre. Mitchell's first New York acting role was Huck Finn in the Broadway musical Big River (1985). He created the role of Dickon on Broadway in The Secret Garden, and appeared in the original cast of the Off Broadway musical Hello Again. He received Drama Desk nominations for both roles, and can be heard on the original cast recordings for each. (His rendition of the original demo version of "Giants in the Sky" can be heard as a bonus track on the 2007 remastered release of Stephen Sondheim's Into the Woods.) He appeared in the original cast of John Guare's Six Degrees of Separation (off- and on Broadway) and starred in Larry Kramer's Off Broadway sequel to The Normal Heart, The Destiny of Me, for which he received a Village Voice Obie Award and a Drama Desk nomination. Mitchell is a founding member of the Drama Department Theater Company, for which he adapted and directed Tennessee Williams' Kingdom of Earth starring Cynthia Nixon and Peter Sarsgaard.
In 1998, Mitchell wrote (along with composer Stephen Trask) and starred in Hedwig and the Angry Inch, an Obie Award-winning Off Broadway musical about an East German Transgender rock musician chasing after an ex-lover who plagiarized her songs. Three years later, he directed and starred in the feature film version of the play for which he won Best Director at the 2001 Sundance Film Festival. His performance was nominated for a Golden Globe as Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy. Both the play and the film were critical hits and have spawned cult followings around the world.
After the success of Hedwig, Mitchell expressed an interest in writing, directing and producing a film that incorporated explicit sex in a naturalistic and thoughtful way, without using "stars". After three years of talent searches, improv workshops and production, Shortbus premiered in May 2006 at the Cannes Film Festival. The film garnered many awards, at venues such as the Athens and Zurich International Film Festivals.
Tumblr media
Shortbus
Mitchell was the executive producer of the 2004 film Tarnation, an award-winning documentary about the life of Jonathan Caouette (whom he met when the latter auditioned for Shortbus). In 2005, Mitchell directed music videos for Bright Eyes' "First Day of My Life" and the Scissor Sisters' "Filthy/Gorgeous," the latter of which was banned from MTV for its explicitly sexual content. Mitchell has appeared as a pundit on Politically Incorrect and various VH1 and Independent Film Channel programs. He introduced films on a show called Escape From Hollywood on IFC for two years.
In 1985, Mitchell came out as Gay to his family and friends. Though always open about his sexuality in his personal life, he came out publicly in a New York Times profile in 1992. His subsequent writing has often explored sexuality and gender. Mitchell lives in New York City. Along with Shortbus stars PJ DeBoy and Paul Dawson and performance artists Amber Martin and Angela Di Carlo, he is a co-founder and DJ of the long-running New York City monthly party "Mattachine".

Mattachines denied service at 'Julius' 1966
1966 – The first homosexual "Sip-In" held at Julius's bar in Greenwich Village. The Mattachine Society in hopes of overturning the State Liquor Authority's regulations against serving homosexuals in bars staged a direct action they called "a sip-in" inspired by the Black civil rights movement successes in lunch bars and transportation. While there was no law on the books against homosexuals in bars, the SLA often penalized bars that served homosexuals on the grounds that their gatherings were "disorderly." Bartenders ordered gay patrons to sit facing away from other customers to prevent cruising, denied them drinks, or just kicked them out as precautionary moves under the SLA's watch. At the same time, bars frequented by gays were often targeted by police in entrapment schemes.
By 1965, influenced by Frank Kameny's addresses in the early 1960s, Dick Leitsch, the president of the New York Mattachine Society, advocated direct actions, and the group staged the first public homosexual demonstrations and picket lines in the 1960s. Frank Kameny, founder of Mattachine Washington in 1961, had advocated militant action reminiscent of the black civil rights campaign, whilst also arguing for the morality of homosexuality.
The State Liquor Authority of New York State did not allow homosexuals to be served in licensed bars in the state under penalty of revocation of the bar's license to operate. This denial of public accommodation had been confirmed by a court decision in the early 1940's.
A legal study, commissioned by Mattachine New York on the city's alcohol beverage law concluded that there was no law that prohibited homosexuals gathering in bars but that there was a law that prohibited disorderly behaviour in bars, which the SLA had been interpreting as homosexual behavior. Leitsch, then, announced to the press that three members of Mattachine New York would turn up at a restaurant on the lower east side, announce their homosexuality and upon refusal of service make a complaint to the SLA. This came to be known as the 'Sip In' and only succeeded at the third attempt in the Julius Bar in Greenwich Village.
Dick Leitsch recalls:
We knew that Julius' would not serve us … and when we walked in, the bartender put glasses in front of us, and we told him that we were gay and we intended to remain orderly, we just wanted service. And he said, hey, you're gay, I can't serve you, and he put his hands over the top of the glass, which made wonderful photographs. The whole thing ended up in court, and the court decided well, yes, the Constitution says that people have the right to peacefully assemble and the state can't take that right away from you. And so the Liquor Authority can't prevent gay people from congregating in bars.
The 'Sip In', though, did gain extensive media attention and the resultant legal action against the SLA eventually prevented them from revoking licenses on the basis of homosexual solicitation in 1967. In the years before 1969 the organization also was effective in getting New York City to change its policy of police entrapment of gay men, and to rescind its hiring practices designed to screen out gay people.

1982 – Claybourne Elder is an American actor, singer, and writer, born on this date, who is best known for his work on television and on Broadway.
Elder is from Springville, Utah. His mother is a schoolteacher and father a carpenter, and he is the youngest of eight siblings. At an early age he played violin in the school orchestra. Elder studied acting at the Moscow Klasse Centre in Russia before attending Brigham Young University and the University of Utah. He earned a degree in dramaturgy and directing from The University of Utah.
In 2007, as a 23-year-old aspiring actor visiting New York City, he was in the standing-room section of the Broadway musical The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee when a stranger approached him, noted his obvious enthusiasm for theater, gave him $200, and told him to spend it the next night on a ticket to a revival of Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. Elder did see that show and considered it—and the stranger's kindness—to be the factors that helped him decide to move to New York and pursue acting.
"I was deciding whether or not I wanted to move to New York," he says.
"I grew up in Utah, and I was thinking New York is this big, scary city. Having this stranger do this thing is one of the reasons that led me to think like, 'It's going to be okay, and I should move to New York.' "
Elder went on to become an actor receive rave reviews and be nominated for a Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Leading Actor in A Play for originating the role of "Ollie Olson" in One Arm directed by Moisés Kaufman. He was nominated for a 2015 Lucille Lortel Award for Outstanding Leading Actor in a Musical for Allegro at Classic Stage. He originated the roles of "Buck Barrow" in Bonnie & Clyde, "Hollis Bessemer" in Stephen Sondheim's Road Show and "Michael Victor" in Venice.
On Broadway, Elder is currently playing the role of Andy in the 2021 revival of Stephen Sondheim's musical Company.
In December 2021, Claybourne shared his experience of the generous stranger in an Instagram post to explain why he'd decided to give several tickets to his own show to strangers. Alongside the message, he asked his friends and followers: "If you know this guy - let me know. I would love to thank him." He included a pic of himself and the man who had given him the $200.
Tumblr media
After sharing his story, Elder received a message from a friend who knew the stranger, Mark Howell. He said, "I saw your post, and I saw your picture of the man who gave you the money 15 years ago. He's one of my best friends."
It had been years since Howell had thought about that then-23-year-old he met outside the Circle in the Square Theatre. When Howell received a call from his old friend, he never suspected that Claybourne Elder would be waiting on the other line of the three-way FaceTime.
To learn that, not only had his random act of kindness inspired Elder to pursue his dreams, it also encouraged Elder to give back to other theatergoers in the same way, left Howell overwhelmed, to say the least.
Elder and director Eric Rosen were married in July 2012 in New York State. In 2017 they had a son through surrogacy.

Criminal | Sierra Six x m!reader
@satan-incarnate-666 asked: ok specifics moment here pls bear w me 🥺🥺
"But, I want you. I only ever want you"  and "Get over here and sit on my lap" with a crime lord male reader who hired six as a bodyguard? thank u vv much!!
summary: you hire Six as a bodyguard, but it doesn’t take long before that gets compromised.
tws: swearing, a bit of possessiveness, mentions of crime
word count: 1109
Six wasn’t particularly fond of his most recent job, being your bodyguard and protecting you despite the fact that, even though you were in charge of one of the most successful criminal underground rings, you were little more than a reckless and spoiled man-child, completely oblivious to all the threats coming your way; you didn’t seem to give a single shit about any of it. But still, Six hung around, he hung around mostly because the money was good and it was surprisingly easy to keep you in check; he hung around mostly for the money, but the more time that he spent with you, the more he realised that actually, you weren’t half bad. Sure, he could never deny that you were very handsome, probably one of - if not the - most handsome men he had ever seen in his life; but you were growing on him as well. He found you… endearing at times, and he found you charming even more often. He couldn’t help it, if he was honest, and he could tell that you were starting to get the same itch about him, too; he knew the looks that you gave him when you were sat in meetings and you looked up at him like he suddenly meant fucking everything and then some. He knew that the little touches weren’t accidental, he wasn’t an idiot. He knew that you were starting to get the same itch about him that he had for you.
Today just so happened to be the day that he snapped.
There was a little tailor shop hidden away in town that you had made him drive you to, and although the owner greeted you with almost familial warmth, Six was still suspicious of him; he stood by while you grabbed some shirts and trousers and went behind the little curtain to change.
“Y’know, I get it,” you started, peering over the curtain. “You don’t agree with what I do.”
Six took one look at you, trying not to imagine what was behind the curtain as he sighed. “I can’t afford to disagree.”
You scoffed, rolling your eyes and shaking your head. “You think I’m nothing but a fucking idiot, don’t you?”
Six grumbled, pulling out a packet of gum from his pocket and daring to put some in his mouth as he stared down at his shoes; sure, your crime sheet was half a mile long, multiple offences of running operations with illegal gambling, a mixture of bribery and extortion and blackmail, a little bit of being a hired killer, some accusations of fencing that somehow mostly got dropped, and even two or three counts of hijacking… but you were so charming, and he knew for a fact that the bribery, extortion, blackmail and contracted killings were only towards those who deserved it.
“C’mon, Six,” you laughed, pulling back the curtain to reveal that you were only partially dressed, your shirt not even done up as you stepped out and smiled in approval when he looked you up and down. “You know you can tell me. I don’t bite.”
He clenched his jaw, shaking his head.
“You wanna come back here with me?” You gestured to the curtain. “Make sure it’s safe?”
He couldn’t resist, following you behind the curtain but pulling it up a little more so that no one could even try and look over it, quick to push you against the wall as you grabbed his shirt and pulled him in for a kiss; it was messy and rough, and you could taste the gum he was chewing, but you didn’t want it to end, you didn’t want him to stop kissing you; when he pulled away, it was like something was missing, and you couldn’t help but to whimper softly.
“Behave,” Six snarled. “Puppy.”
You tried not to grin as you nodded, licking your lips as you caught your breath for a moment; you were in charge of one of the biggest organised crime units in the country, and yet after one kiss from your bodyguard, you were completely at his mercy. “Do me a favour? Go back outside and grab the red zip-up hoodie for me, please?”
“I’m here to keep you alive,” he grumbled, backing away. “Not help you shop.”
“Fine,” you mumbled, pushing past him to grab the hoodie. “I’ll do it myself.”
You ended up buying that hoodie, as well as a couple of new shirts, but you soon dragged Six to another one of your frequent spots; an old pub where you had been going for years, and he still grumbled and rolled his eyes when the owner greeted you with such familiarity and warmth that it was as if you were related. He did a sweep of the area while you ordered food, but while you were waiting, Six noticed someone looking at you; they kept looking you up and down with a certain hunger, admiring you from afar, and he couldn’t help it, a low and demanding grumble leaving his lips.
“Get over here and sit on my lap. Now.”
You didn’t even try to hide your excitement as you moved to sit on his lap, immediately making yourself comfortable as if you had done it a thousand times; humming softly to yourself as you laughed.
“What? You think you can protect me better if I’m like this?” You tried not to grin when he clenched his jaw. “Or do you just like knowing that someone as powerful as me is at your mercy?”
Six rolled his eyes, shaking his head as he snaked his arm around you tightly, trying to scare off the person who was looking at you; trying to make it obvious that you were now his, that he wasn’t about to let anyone near you. His glare was icy as he stared them down until they eventually got up and walked away; he relaxed again, but didn’t tell you to get off of his lap.
“Maybe we shouldn’t be doing this.”
“But, I want you, I only ever want you,” you told him softly. “Fuck, since the day I hired you, I’ve wanted you.”
“It compromises my position.”
“Fuck your position!” You all  but howled, shaking your head. “Six, you can protect me and have me as your boyfriend… if you want that.”
He thought about it for a moment, then nodded as he licked his lips. “I do.”
“Then there we go!” You grinned, tapping his cheek. “Good luck.”
Six grumbled a little. “What did I say about behaving?”
“Oh, please,” you chuckled. “I own half this fucking country, Six. I can behave how I like.”

United by Eternity
Pairing: Vladimir x (y/n).
Summary: I had you once, but I lost you, so now I am eternally yours.
Warning: Clinically insane, lost you once, mentions of war and insulting the volturi.
Word count: 1109 words.
a/n: This took a while, but english is not my first language. I do hope you guys like it.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Vladimir's POV.
Past actions come to present actions trice what is understandable. It is a little too late to stand here preaching? Horrifying. Every time my eyes find (y/n) everything plays slow like the day couldn't get any worse. Back then when we ruled the human world to our advances; we took our job seriously. We had clans come from far and wide to established alliances, people joining us or wanting to be part of us, and food came from all over the world. When being from the Romanian Coven meant something.
(y/n) had my head on her lap running her fingers through his short blonde hair. She hummed a song between her lips no words spoken from them. Vladimir lowered his eyelids letting the atmosphere of his mate succumbed him.
He would give up all of him to make this moment last forever.
Despite the Romanian Coven choice of looking past Vampires with powers. His treasure has one calming everyone in the room no matter what. Vladimir embraces his hands surrounding his mate locking her towards himself. The atmosphere took a drastic chance now that the doors to the throne room have been open by Coronel. He strolls in with a couple others from the Coven worry about some new coven making little to no change in how we lived.
“We can't let them get away with it!”, One Coven member hidden behind a cloak shines out.
“We can take Aro out”. Xutopia speaks coming past Coronel. Her brunette long hair falls in cascades as she adds soon after, “they will disperse after the deed is done". She pleads as a second in command to Stefan.
A new coven member explains his frustration against why we are brushing off the Volturi.
Stefan opens his mouth to say something, but he stops himself closing his mouth. Xutopia raises an eyebrow at her brother not liking the fact she was ignored, “We are going to regret this”.
"Shut up", Vladimir mutters between gritted teeth annoyance bursts through his whole body. His eyes open, he removes his head from his mate’s lap.
“When have we lost?”. Vladimir crimson eyes fallen to each member in the room. His eyes glare intently to Coronel and then Xutopia, “We shouldn’t be so fucking confident”.
“Let me go ahead! Let me attack them when they aren’t expecting it!”.
His mate cuddles his side completely oblivious to what was spoken for her Vladimir is everything she has had. Vladimir eyes drift to her form resting (y/n)'s head on his chest. Everythìng fell in glorious praise with (y/n) stayed by his side.
"The Volturi are a scum!”. Xutopia shouts at the top of her lungs, many of our members screams after her confirming what she thought and a smile ran away from her face affirming pleased with a wide grin.
“They are just starting a war they won't win in the end. We are the Romanian Coven, aren't we coronel?". Vladimir drifted his attention to Coronel, who nodded before letting the words he held in his mind loose. Vladimir's calm but stern tone spreads his powerful energy, "I am not doubting our power, but The Volturi has convinced small covens! We should attack as soon as possible! We can't let them regroup. We could lose more if we let them grow". Coronel extended his hands as his voice filled the Romanian Castle Stronghold. He attracted crowds of Vampires and compelled humans to obey.
Back then we didn't mind. We didn't see the Volturi as a threat. Our worst mistake.
"Vladimir".
Vladimir's surroundings dissipate like a canvas getting washed over. His eyes drifted to his mate smiling at him as if he could cry. He would have, "Don't go, (y/n). Please". His last plead. He blinked the Romanian Castle meeting room was no more. It was replaced by white walls around him complemented by domino floors some type of hospital room. The stone walls were exchange with white walls and the stone floors were exchange with spotless floors. Each coven member disappear from sight taking form of tables, cabinets with other tolls and objects around the room.
Vladimir eyed the room, a sight escaping his lips trying to shake the memory away from his body. A hand-made contract with his cold ones. The contrast warmth to him, his eyes look up to (e/c) staring directly at him.
"Are you okay, Vlamir? You looked distant", (y/n) eyes soften in a welcoming manner with the nickname she gave him. He couldn't bring himself to tell her to stop; however, he did lose her centuries away, and he isn't starting on that note again.
No. He is not going to lose her ever again. No volturi. No coven will he let anyone take his human mate.
"Standing here looking at you takes all my breath away". Vladimir was quick to change the topic remembering how things used to be. How he lose her in the second retake battle with 100 new members. It is not something he can forgive himself that night he lost more than what he bargained for. We weren't prepared for a surprise attack.
"I will assume you are okay", (y/n) cheeks redden into next week. She pushes him playfully getting back to her job. It wouldn't be lying if he didn't say he missed her voice, her eyes going to him, her presence and if she is his other half his wishes granted, he is not going to let anything happen to her ever again even her scent every part of her is the original. He would cry with joy if he could.
He had constantly wished to have her return to him.
"I am good, (y/n)". Vladimir adds quickly so as not to worry her. Her eyes glance at him before her attention goes back to her job.
"I am glad", (y/n) whispers between her lips. A smile ran through Vladimir's lips knowing he did good. He will become her guard if he has to. Fuck the Volturi. His lips parted no words spoke staring at her. His eyes drifted to her like a magnet to a needle.
The room stood frozen looking at the machine that played in the background. (y/n)'s heart beats calmly her lips part. She moves back staring at Vladimir, "Did you say something?". She asks looking over at him. Vladimir runs his hands through his hair. He chuckles staring at her, "You are my mate, so now I am eternally yours”.
In 2019, the University of Chicago Law Review discontinued the Maroonbook citation standard.
For three decades, the Maroonbook provided a simplified, streamlined alternative to the Harvard Law Review Bluebook.
Citation standards serve one of legal practitioners' basic needs: a simple, general, standard, abbreviated syntax for pointing to legal authorities.
It's a very old need.
Here's how Cranch reports part of the argument of Charles Lee, former Attorney General of the United States, in Marbury:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
To do a bit of translation, Lee is referring to Basset v Barnestable (Mayor of), 82 ER 1109, 1 Sid 286 (KB 1678); R v Midhurst (Borough of), 95 ER 620, 1 Wilson KB 283 (1750); R v Hay, 96 ER 372, 1 Bl W 640 (KB 1768); Clarke v Sarum (Bishop of), 93 ER 1046, 2 Strange 1082 (KB 1737); R v Askew, 98 ER 139, 4 Burr 2186 (KB 1768); R v Blooer, 97 ER 697, 2 Burr 1048 (KB 1760); R v Marquis of Stafford, 100 ER 782, 3 TR 646 (KB 1790); R v Turkey Co, 97 ER 673, 2 Burr 999 (KB 1760); R v Maurice, 90 ER 859, Carth 448 (KB 1698); and so on.
Eli's telling me to stop converting citations into other citations so I'm just going to stop this post here
OOOOH I get it. You speak in red and Will speaks with blue. Squills got blue and red glitches, right? You’re the glitches. You’re all parts of each other
essentially, yes.
I think this is most prominently seen when will was part of unit 1109.
and regarding the last question about will being part squip. if you believe he is (to which I won't deny), back when will was part of 1109.... I suppose you can consider him previously being full squip.
I was definitely suppressed and unable to function during that time, and obviously I didn't emerge till the first red message appearing on 1109's tumblr.
I guess you can say his tumblr was an outlet for me.
in summary though, yeah, we're connected.
I don't know about that one though, no one understands how he talks to us.
Why do you think your squips are dysfunctional? Maybe it’s related to you? Kind weird that both ones you had are faulty :/
look, okay, squill was bound to be a little dysfunctional, I literally merged with him...
well... actually, nevermind, he's been a fuckup since before then.
I don't know, maybe I just got unlucky or something?!
premature labor, and related complications of pregnancy; studies in the 1950s showed that it was not effective in preventing these problems but actually was causing cancer in offspring
‘In 1971, researchers linked prenatal (while in the womb, or in utero) DES exposure to a type of cancer of the cervix and vagina called clear cell adenocarcinoma in a small group of women.’
‘Females exposed to DES in utero, commonly called DES daughters, are at increased risk of several specific cancers, including:
Clear cell adenocarcinoma. DES daughters have about 40 times the risk of developing clear cell adenocarcinoma of the lower genital tract as unexposed women (women who were not exposed to DES prenatally). However, this type of cancer is still rare; approximately 1 in 1,000 DES daughters developed it. The first DES daughters with clear cell adenocarcinoma were very young at the time of their diagnoses. Subsequent research has shown that the risk of developing this disease remained elevated as these individuals aged into their 40s and 50s, but it continued to be rare.
Breast cancer. DES daughters may have a slightly increased risk of breast cancer after age 40. A 2006 study from the United States suggested that breast cancer risk is not increased in DES daughters overall but that after age 40, DES daughters have approximately twice the risk of breast cancer as unexposed women of the same age and with similar risk factors. A 2011 study also found that a large cohort of DES daughters had nearly twice the risk of developing breast cancer at 40 years or older as unexposed women, but a 2019 follow-up study showed that their breast cancer risk has lessened over time. It is therefore possible that risk was increased for a limited time at middle age. However, a 2010 study from Europe found no difference in breast cancer risk between DES daughters and women not exposed to DES in utero.
Pancreatic cancer. A 2021 study found that DES daughters had about two times the risk of pancreatic cancer as women in the general population. Research is ongoing to determine if the increased risk persists as these individuals get older.
Cervical precancers. Studies show that DES daughters were about 2 times more likely to have high-grade cell changes in the cervix than females not exposed to DES in utero. Approximately 4% of DES daughters developed these conditions because of their exposure.
Males exposed to DES in utero, referred to as DES sons, have been studied for their risk of testicular and prostate cancers. There is no evidence to date that DES exposure in utero increases the risk of prostate cancer.  However, the evidence around testicular cancer is mixed.’
