Usually at this time of day I'm in web design class, but now that the school year is over I get to sleep in, make iced coffee, and drink it on my family's porch! The peace is a little sus...

Anyway! Summer is here/almost here!(???) When do you consider the beginning of summer to be? Is it the calendar date, the end of the school year, or something else?

Thermostat broke less than three years after it was installed. Just found out the warranty is only TWO years and it costs $850 to replace. :)

Recently I joked to people that somehow I managed to get through November-December without a major appliance or body part getting fucked up, for once.

Guess the universe was just running a little behind schedule!

Okay, so a couple of summers back both my PS4 controllers started getting the ever annoying stick drift (my silver on the left stick and blue on the right hilariously enough). And while I got a new controller in to replace it as a bday present, I never actually tossed either of them. Mostly because they were still usable as back ups in certain games. Like my blue was awful in any game that used camera controls, but in a game or platformer like crash it worked just fine, while the other was fine in any 3d game but in a 2d style then movement was almost impossible (like I still remember jumping over a gap only to lose my jump momentum half way through and falling to my death).

But that brings me to today. In my travels of trying to fix my PS2 controller hilariously enough, I found out that you can actually buy replacement joystick pieces and just replace them yourselves. Assuming you have a soldering gun and equipment of course.

So I got a couple of those parts and ordered a little soldering kit online, and I'm all ready to try and see i can't get my controllers working back at 100% again.

Tomorrow I get a capture card and if i get it and it works well then I'll try twitch streaming for the first time streaming thrift store windows games off a real windows XP computer none of that virtual machine shit. We've got lots of games we have SimCity 2000 we have "Candyland Adventure" we have "Amazing Hidden Object Games 10 Game Pack GREATEST HITS"

my neighbor is a beekeeper and also has Bee Autism and so i have been microdosing bee knowledge over the last year and a half each time we hang out and i already know im going to hear his voice in my head during this goddamn beenado arc going like "actually when bees swarm they are at their least aggressive because they want to conserve all their energy to safely transport the queen so they dont want to sting someone and die"

I'm so sleep deprived my whole body hurts. I have total brain fog. It's too hot at night and I can't get more than 5 hours of sleep (and I'm a 8 and a half hours of sleep just to feel normal type of woman).

Idk what to do because it'll stay this hot (or hotter) for at least another entire month. Like what are the options.
